Yolanda Hadid had strict rules for her children's career

OHMYGOSSIP — Yolanda Hadid didn’t allow her children to start modelling before they were 18 because she feared they would be judged.
The 53-year-old American television personality “never” let her daughters Gig, 21, and Bella, 20, start their career in the fashion industry until they had hit the milestone because she wanted them to be “authentic human beings” who would not be insulted by any criticism they received.
Speaking about her rules, the blonde beauty – who also has 17-year-old son Anwar – told Elle.com: “I never let them work [as models] before they were 18. I didn’t want anybody judging them on what they looked like. I wanted them to feel and be the authentic human beings that they are, and I think that created a lot of strength for them.”
And the ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star tried to keep her brood grounded by telling them there are women who are “more beautiful” than them and they would have to be kind and act as “role models” if they wanted to stand out from the crowd, although she has praised them for their “extraordinary character”.
She explained: “I always said to them, listen, there are thousands of girls that are much more beautiful than you girls, but you have an extraordinary character, and you’re going to have to set yourself apart by being a role model, by showing up on time and being kind to everybody … to the light people, the make-up, the cleaner in the back of the studio. Those are the people that you have to connect with, and that’s how you can make a difference in the world.”
Yolanda – who signed to Ford Models when she was younger and enjoyed a modelling career spanning 15 years – believes the industry has “completely changed” since she started working, and thinks if catwalk icons today are not role models they “shouldn’t be in the business”.
She explained: “When I was modelling we had no voice. We were just a pretty face. In today’s world, that has completely changed. You have a platform. It’s your responsibility to live a conscientious life, and to be a role model, and if you can’t be that, then you shouldn’t be in the business.”

Jodie Kidd's long legs 'limit' her wardrobe choices

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Kidd’s long legs “limit” her wardrobe choices.

Speaking about her struggles with fashion, the blonde-haired beauty said: “I have a 36-inch inside leg, which limits choice.”
And Jodie has revealed she has two “distinct styles”; one for work and one for ambling around the countryside, although a pair of jeans cross over into both categories.
She explained: “I have two distinct styles for my life now; my working wardrobe, which consists of classic, elegant separates, and my country look, which caters for my life doing the school run and walking the dogs. Jeans cross over into both. J Brand and Paige fit me well, so I buy a few pairs of styles I like from Donna Ida in London. They tend to get handed down from ‘work’ to ‘leisure’ wear after a while, when I team them with this parka, which was designed for me by the British label Jane & Tash. It has my name embroidered in beads on the arm, and is great all year round – it’s perfect for an English summer.”
Although the British star prefers “classic” and “elegant” garments, she has revealed she also likes to have “fun” with her style by wearing bold, statement pieces.
The fashion muse explained: “It’s fun to make a statement with your clothes, so I can’t resist Bella Freud’s signature slogan sweaters. I wear the slouchy ‘Dance all night and sleep all day’ one, by Wild Fox, with jeans at home over the weekend.”
Jodie will always take a “simple dress” with her when she goes on holiday.
She said: “When I travel, I always pack a simple dress that can be dressed up if I need to look smart.”

She told You magazine: “During my years modelling, I learned to pack well, and ind rolling things instead of folding helps to minimise creasing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid used to be “afraid” of wearing mascara on her bottom lashes.

Zoe Saldana dresses her children in leggings

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Saldana likes to dress her children in leggings.
The 38-year-old actress isn’t strict with what her two-year-old twins Bowie and Cy wear and she will happily purchase garments from the girls section in a shop because she believes the selection can be more colourful than the boys department.
Speaking about her broods wardrobe choices to PEOPLE, the brunette beauty – who also has son Zen with her husband Marco Perego, who she announced she had given birth to in February – said: “They just choose what they want to wear.
“My husband and I, we don’t like to just stick to like the boys’ section. And we like putting leggings on our sons, believe it or not. We’re not going to be able to board that plane.
“But sometimes when we can’t find something that we need, we’ll go to the girls’ section, and we like seeing our kids, our boys, in pastel, bright pink colours, and they like it as well.
“So I guess that it starts very young, as children, we gravitate towards colour, and sometimes the boys section can just be very like gray and dark. So we find ourselves always sliding into the girls’ section, and we have fun.”
And the ‘Avatar’ star has revealed her brood own a variety of “glittery, bright pink trainers”, which they hand pick, although she has tried to get her kids to wear “masculine” footwear.
She explained: “Their input has begun with their shoes.
“So they have different pairs of glittery, bright pink trainers, and those are the shoes that they always choose. We get them their masculine ones. They don’t like those. They want the glitter, the glitter bright pink ones, and we’re like, so be it.”

David Beckham amazed by wife Victoria's fashion status

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham is “pretty amazed” by how quickly Victoria Beckham “gained the respect” of the fashion industry.
The 41-year-old retired soccer star is so proud of his wife for achieving so much in “such a short space of time” and thinks it shows how hard she works.
Asked who inspires him in the fashion industry, he said: “Obviously, my wife is in the fashion industry and I think what she’s achieved in such a short space of time – gained the respect of the fashion industry in less than 10 years – that’s pretty amazing. But I’ve seen how hard she works, so that is an inspiration as well.”
And David also looks up to Ralph Lauren, who he has “always respected” for being able to go with change and still stay on top.
He added: “I’ve always respected Ralph Lauren. To change it up and to still be at the top of his game for so many years is incredible. People like that inspire me.”
During his globetrotting career, David has visited a whole host of countries but feels Hong Kong is a “leader in style”.
He shared to the April issue of #legend magazine: “Hong Kong has always been one of those leaders in style and in fashion. It changes from week to week, month to month, year to year. There’s always something changing. I think Hong Kong is such a great place for so many different reasons. The food is amazing …
“I’ve walked around Hong Kong and seen amazing-looking businessmen in great suits but I’ve also seen young kids in very cool clothes. That’s something that I think [both places] have in common. You know, I’m 41 years old, but I still like to dress – not too young – but I still like to dress in a pair of jeans, a pair of trainers and a T-shirt.”
