Rachel Bilson’s daughter has mastered her own beauty regime

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Bilson’s daughter has mastered her own beauty regime.
The 35-year-old actress has revealed her two-year-old child Briar – who she has with her partner Hayden Christensen – has picked up on her mother’s skincare routine and has started to apply a natural moisturiser “liberally” to her face.
Speaking about her brood’s beauty hacks to PEOPLE, the ‘The O.C.’ star said: “My daughter loves watching me get ready and do my make-up.
“She has her own Total Hydration Moisture + Tint in Rose Petal and she applies it very liberally.
“It’s so cute, and I love that it’s all natural so I don’t ever have to worry about her putting it all over her face.”
And not only does the youngster smother her face in the skincare product, but she is “always” desperate to apply a slick of lipstick, which will see her reach for Rachel’s ChapStick.
She explained: “She always wants to put ‘lipstick’ on, which is always my ChapStick.”
Rachel has admitted motherhood has taken its toll on her pampering sessions and interest in fashion, as she now opts for “easy and comfortable” outfits.
She explained: “Before I was a mom, I had more time to think about fashion, but with my busy lifestyle now, my style philosophy is much simpler. I like everything to be easy and comfortable.”
Although Rachel has lost interest in her style, she has kept hold of her handmade garments and “fine” accessories for her daughter to wear when she gets older.
She said: “I think there a lot of things in my closet I’m saving for my girl. She will definitely get her fair share of fine handbags, but more importantly, sweaters and hats my grandmother knit.”

John Cena has a rigid beauty regime

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cena has rated his skincare routine a “seven and a half out of ten”.
The 40-year-old professional wrestler has revealed he has a very thorough daily beauty regime because he is conscious of the “fine lines” on his face, and he believes people would be surprised by his strict routine, which is a “lot more” rigid than people would expect.
He told PEOPLE: “I’m constantly trying to stay up on fine lines in my skin and that stuff, so I’m a lot more grooming-centric than you would realize. My routine is a lot more than you would think — I’d say it’s a strong seven and a half out of 10.”
And the ‘Trainwreck’ actor – who appeared in the production alongside comedian Amy Schumer – has revealed he is “grooming-centric” and will often carry out a full body hair removal, which takes one hour to 30 minutes, to ensure he is “completely man-scaped from head to toe”.
Speaking about his intense ablutions, he said: “I’m completely man-scaped from head to toe — from the ears down — so that takes a bit of time.
“If I’m pretty, pretty quick with it, I’d say it takes a half hour, but sometimes it’s probably an hour.
“A lot of shaving cream and a very good razor — and time. I have a lot of surface area to cover.
“The skin is always smooth. I’ve gravitated towards Gillette products my entire life. They do a great job at what they do and they’re a great leader in the field.”
Although John takes a lot of time out of his busy work schedule to ensure he is hair-free, he has admitted he feels “uncomfortable” when the hairs start sprouting back again.
He explained: “It’s something that I started, and the first time you man-scape yourself and it starts to grow back, it is so uncomfortable, so I just kept doing it.”

Kim Kardashian West expanding beauty line

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is planning to expand her beauty line.
The 36-year-old reality TV star launched her KKW Beauty with four $48 Crème Contour & Highlight Kits last month and Kim has promised her fans that more products are on the way.
She said: “This is the start of many amazing products.”
However, Kim’s latest venture proved to be controversial before it even launched after she was accused of deliberately darkening her skin.
The star’s tone appeared to be much darker than usual in the photographs for the promotional campaign and experienced a backlash from fans on social media.
Kim – who is married to rapper Kanye West – later spoke about the furore and insisted it wasn’t a deliberate measure and she never intended to offend anyone.
She said: “I would obviously never want to offend anyone. I used an amazing photographer and a team of people. I was really tan when we shot the images and it might be that the contrast was off. But I showed the image to many people, to many in the business. No one brought that to our attention. No one mentioned it.
“Of course, I have the utmost respect for why people might feel the way they did. But we made the necessary changes to that photo and the rest of the photos. We saw the problem, and we adapted and changed right away. Definitely I have learned from it.”

Lush sends Harry Styles 100 Sex Bombs

OHMYGOSSIP — Lush is sending Harry Styles 100 Sex Bombs.
The bath and body brand were so impressed with Harry’s album artwork on his debut solo album ‘Harry Styles’, which shows him lying in a bath of pink water, that they have sent him some of their own bath bombs.
Lush wrote on Twitter: “Hey @Harry_Styles – something to get you in the mood for a good…soak?”
And Lush included a picture of a sign saying, “To Harry, from one sex bomb to another. Love Lush xxx (sic).”
After Harry’s artwork was released earlier this year, Lush was inundated with requests for how to achieve a similar look.
The company tweeted in April: “If you mix Think Pink with Milky Bath you’d get a similar colour …. minus the damp pop star sadly though (sic).”
Meanwhile, Harry, 23, had to cut off his famous long hair for his debut movie role in ‘Dunkirk’ but has insisted he wasn’t too upset.
He said recently: “I didn’t think too much about it. I assumed when auditioning for a [movie] based in World War II I’d probably have to have a trim.
“It was a little breezy behind the ears, which was nice.”
Harry donated his locks to the charity Little Princess Trust and the company said: “Huge thank you to Harry Styles for supporting our #hairtospare campaign! Thank you for donating your hair to us Harry!
“We are grateful to anyone who decides to do good things for us. Harry Styles’ high profile however helps raise awareness about the charity too.
“He reached out to the Trust because he wanted to support us – what an endorsement from someone so popular!
“If you would like to support the charity too, please click here.
“Thank you and thanks to Harry too! (sic).”

Rachel Bilson’s natural look

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Bilson prefers a “natural” make-up look.
The ‘Nashville’ actress used to pile on the make-up when she was younger but these days she believes less is more.
She told PEOPLE: “My style routine has definitely changed over time. In my ‘O.C.’ days I wore a lot of lip gloss and the darker inner-rimmed eyeliner, but now I like to keep my look more natural with just a little ChapStick and mascara.
“I’ve been a fan of ChapStick for as long as I can remember. Between my work and as a mom, I am always on the go and I love that ChapStick fits my busy lifestyle and simplified beauty routine.”
And Rachel, 35, says her daily fashion choices are also quite low-key.
She explained: “I like to think my style carries over from location to location, I always go for comfy basics and may add a little flair depending on what I’m doing. If I still had a pair of cowboy boots I would probably rock them in ‘Nashville’.”
Rachel welcomed daughter Briar Rose with partner Hayden Christensen, 36, two years ago and admitted the tot gets confused when she wears make-up.
She previously said: “If I ever have anything on – like if I have mascara on – my daughter just stares at me for, like, five minutes like, ‘Who are you?’ Because [make-up] has become so nonexistent, the easy things that you can do, like hydrating your lips, makes me feel a little better and look a little better.
“It’s something that can give you a little pick-me-up. It’s that easy and doesn’t take any time.”

Kim Kardashian West blasts fashion critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West has hit back at fashion critics of her daughter.
Fans were horrified when the reality TV star’s four-year-old child North was pictured in a corset-style dress but Kim quickly took to Twitter to reveal that it was a faux corset and she would never put her child in such a restrictive clothing item.
She tweeted a video of the dress and wrote: “I would never put my daughter in a corset! It’s a dress I bought that is a cotton fabric that laces up & looks like a corset! Just decoration (sic).”
She added in the video: “This dress that I did not design, I actually bought, is not a corset it’s just fabric on the front. So, I think it’s really cute, I bought it from a designer and it’s just fabric people, it’s not a real corset.”
And Kim shared a picture of the dress and added a caption saying: “Just decoration, not a real corset.”
Meanwhile, Kim and her husband Kanye West’s second Kids Supply collection will be released next week.
The couple launched their first collaborative fashion effort last month, featuring a number of pieces of childrenswear inspired by Kim’s hometown of Calabasas, and they will drop the second collection on July 17.
The new range will feature Yeezy trainers along with graphic T-shirts, shorts, swimwear, denim jacket and a selection of headwear.
A number of images of the new items have been shared on the company’s Instagram page.

She tweeted: “For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line!
“All of my friends would ask where we get our kids clothes, so now they will be available!”

Chris Hemsworth honoured by Hugo Boss role

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth is honoured to be the new face of Hugo Boss.
The ‘Thor’ actor has been named as the ambassador for Boss Bottled and the brand’s Man of Today campaign and he is excited about his work with the company.
He told Us Weekly: “I feel great about being the new face of [the fragrances]. It’s a huge honour and I really identify with the values that the ‘Man of Today’ stands for. Life should be a journey of passion, honesty and integrity and be about having a greater awareness of your impact in the community and the people you interact with.”
Chris has shot a TV campaign with Nicolas Winding Refn for Hugo Boss and a print campaign with photographer Nathaniel Goldberg.
Both will launch globally in September.
Chris, 33, is not the only Hemsworth brother to front a fragrance campaign; two years ago his brother Liam, 27, was named as the face of Diesel’s Only the Brave scent.
The ‘Hunger Games’ actor signed a deal to be the face of the fragrance in the print and TV campaign and it was the first time Diesel had chosen a celebrity to be the star of their adverts.
According to the label the brave one is known “by his strength, his determination and most of all his ability to live life bravely on his own terms” and the fashion company insisted the hunky actor embodies the message of the product.
Andrea Rosso, Diesel’s creative director, said: “I think that Liam embodies these qualities, I am happy to have him representing Only the Brave.”
Liam previously starred in an advertising campaign for British clothing brand Bench.

Charlize Theron’s brutal weight gain

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron says gaining weight for her new movie was “brutal”.
Although the 41-year-old star packed on the pounds 14 years ago to play serial killer Aileen Wuornos in ‘Monster’, she admitted that gaining weight for upcoming movie ‘Tully’ was much tougher on her body.
Speaking to Variety, Charlize explained: “It was brutal in every sense. This time around, I really felt it in my health. The sugar put me in a massive depression. I was sick. I couldn’t lose the weight. I called my doctor and I said, ‘I think I’m dying!’ And he’s like, ‘No, you’re 41. Calm down.'”
Charlize previously suggested that her good looks have stopped her from getting “meaty roles” in the past.
She said: “Jobs with real gravitas go to people that are physically right for them and that’s the end of the story. How many roles are out there for the gorgeous, f***ing, gown-wearing eight-foot model? When meaty roles come through, I’ve been in the room and pretty people get turned away first.”
Charlize has also claimed that women are made to feel more insecure because of society’s pressure on them to look youthful – although she believes the tables are slowly turning.
She explained: “We live in a society where women wilt and men age like fine wine. And, for a long time, women accepted it. We were waiting for society to change, but now we’re taking leadership.
“It would be a lie to say there is less worry for women as they get older than there is for men. It feels there’s this unrealistic standard of what a woman is supposed to look like when she’s over 40.”

Kerry Washington to receive fashion award

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington will take home the Lord & Taylor Fashion Oracle award at this year’s Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars.
The stylish star will be presented with the prize at the event at Cipriani Wall Street on October 26, which has a ‘Modern Voices’ theme.
Designer Dries Van Noten is set to receive the Superstar award, while Thom Browne, Isabel Marant and Simone Rocha will receive Fashion Star prizes.
FGI’s president and chief executive officer Margaret Hayes said: “As the modern voices they represent, each of this year’s Night of Stars honorees speaks, through their work, with vision, truth and authority.”
Simon Doonan will host the black-tie ceremony.
Meanwhile, Kerry – who is renowned for her stylish red-carpet looks – recently revealed she gets her fashion inspiration from many different places.
She explained: “From all over – from travel, from magazines, from movies. Music videos. It’s such an important aesthetic medium.”
Recently, Kerry has branched out into designing and she created a stunning clutch with Dee Ocleppo, with 25 per cent of proceeds going to domestic violence charity, the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse.
She said: “Last year, I designed the bag on my own and I loved it – I really love designing. But the feedback was that a lot of people wanted to buy it, and we just didn’t make enough bags last year. Dee is such an awesome woman; she’s a girl’s girl, all about women’s empowerment, and she’s also super talented. So she and I designed a bag together this year. It’s available at Saks.com, and the money goes to Allstate Foundation Purple Purse.”

Dolce and Gabbana worry about future of company

OHMYGOSSIP — Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce worry about what will happen to their company when they die.
The Italian fashion designers are proud that they have managed to maintain a personal relationship with clients and have not sold Dolce & Gabbana to a large business group but they are apprehensive about what will become of the company when they are no longer around.
Stefano told the Financial Times: “We don’t even know what’s going to happen in the next two hours, or this afternoon. For sure, though, I try to think about the future, because, for sure, we will die. But I don’t want to sell our label to a big company. When we die, it’s finished.
“We won’t close. The idea is not to close, but the idea is to renovate, to become a classic label. Imagine if we were to die and the house took in a new designer? What would they do? We worked for a lot of years to make this dream.”
The pair also claimed that they are the last of the “real fashion designers with a home”.
Stefano added: “Think about it. There are no more real fashion designers with a home. Think of a designer with his own brand and there is nobody. There is Mr Armani, and there is Dolce and Gabbana.
“All the other brands are coming from a big group. The famous designers of the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s … They are dead. The trick with Dolce & Gabbana is that we are alive. We are here to tell our story. Season by season, year by year.”

Speaking about her dream job, she said: “Victoria’s Secret, call me. I will walk your runway. I will wear those wings, honey. And I will wear it with confidence! Right, wouldn’t you say yes?”
However, the style icon has not always been as positive about her career in the fashion industry and it was her mother who encouraged her not to give up on her dream.
Ashley previously said: “Everything was about exterior, everything was about weight for me.
“I really had to step back and say, ‘OK, am I looking for love through sex? Am I looking for love through food? Am I looking for love through the affirmation of fashion people who don’t understand my body?’. I had to really have, like, a come to Jesus moment.
“I said, ‘I can’t do it anymore, I’m coming home. This is it,’ and she said, ‘No, no, you’re not coming home. Your body is going to change someone’s life and New York needs you. The fashion industry needs you,’ and I stayed.”

Sadie Frost and daughter Iris Law enjoy yoga retreat in India

OHMYGOSSIP — Sadie Frost and her daughter Iris Law recently enjoyed a yoga retreat in India.
The 51-year-old actress has admitted she doesn’t “pressure” her brood to eat well, although her and her 16-year-old daughter – who she has with her former partner Jude Law – went on a relaxing getaway where the budding model exercised and learnt how to live a healthier lifestyle.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (27.04.17), the brunette beauty – who also has sons Rafferty, 20, Finlay, 26, and Rudy, 14, – said: “You don’t want to ever force or pressure them [your children to do something], I don’t want to make Iris do anything she doesn’t want to do, but I plant the seed. So we just went away to India and did a yoga retreat together, and she only did a couple of classes but it was just the fact she was there and she’s watching people, and she’s seeing how to eat healthy. She doesn’t eat fast food, she eats healthy vegetables, she sees how we eat.”
And the ‘Shoot on Sight’ star has revealed she has started to practice yoga, and will give herself 20 minutes of alone time every morning, which will see her complete various breathing exercises, to help prepare her for the day ahead.
She explained: “I’ve been searching all my life to in a piece of mind, having a busy, crazy, mental activity, not being able to concentrate, settle, wanting to have a family, be a businesswoman and do all the things I do I kind of had to work hard at finding things and tips that would calm me in the morning to get me through the day.
“You know what it’s like having children and having to multi-task. So, I have simple things like breathing – learning how to breathe properly – and simple [things] just having that time to yourself, it doesn’t have to be an hour or two hours of exercise, I’m saying get up 20 minutes before the kids get up in the morning you have to do certain things that are for you, that will re-set me to be able to get through my day.
“I have to work really hard at it by doing yoga and exercise, and with meditation and with breathing. I haven’t got the answer I have just got to work at it.”

Bobbi Brown wanted to be a teacher when she was younger

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobbi Brown considered being a teacher when she was younger.
The 60-year-old make-up artist – who is the founder and former Chief Creative Officer of her eponymous cosmetics company Bobbi Brown Cosmetics – never intended to be an entrepreneur and thought she would boast a successful career in the education sector instead of at the helm of the beauty business.
The beauty expert – who decided to step down from her empire in December last year – told InStyle Online: “Looking back now, yes. But I didn’t know much about real entrepreneurship at the time. I didn’t know that could be an option for me. I thought about being a teacher. I went to college.”
And the mogul has thanked her mother for encouraging her to do “anything” she wanted with her life, and suggested she explored the fashion and beauty industry, which led Bobbi to change her course and study theatrical make-up.
Bobbi explained: “I was really fortunate because my mother – after my first year in college when I announced that I was dropping out – sent me in the right direction by saying to me, ‘Forget about what you want to do with your life. It’s your birthday and you can do anything you want. What would you want to do?’ Unbeknownst to me, because I didn’t even realize it, I said I’d love to go to the make-up counter and play with makeup and she said, ‘Why don’t you become a make-up artist?’
“I enrolled back into college, this time at Emerson.
“In senior year, I studied theatrical make-up. I just thought I would do fashion on the side.”
The businesswoman has admitted she “never” thought she would ever create a “billion-dollar brand”.
She explained: “I mean I never thought in a million years that I’d be part of a billion-dollar brand. So you can imagine that it was ginormous and not exactly the brand I’d started.”
