OHMYGOSSIP — Nicky Hilton Rothschild came up with her new children’s clothing line when she was pregnant with her first daughter. The 34-year-old businesswoman – the younger sister of Paris Hilton – has launched a range of kids’ garments with American fashion brand Tolani.

Nicky came up with most of her ideas for the collection – which features matching women and children’s garments – when she was expecting her oldest child Lily and the majority of the prints are inspired by photos taken on her iPhone.

The ‘Bijou top’ from the collection was inspired by the tiles in a Positano villa she and her family stayed at and the ‘Kate Mediterranean blue’ fabric design was inspired by the vibrant patterns from a trip Mykonos.

Speaking to WWD about the brand’s move into the kids clothing market, Nicky – who also has daughter Teddy with her husband James Rothschild – said: “I came up with the idea when I was pregnant with my first daughter and I came to them about this mommy-and-me idea. They [Tolani] had never done children and they loved the idea so I worked very closely with them in making all of the different prints. Most of them were taken right off my iPhone.”

Nicky commented that the culture of “sharing” played a part in her desire for a collection that can be worn by both children and adults. She said: “We live in a culture where everyone is sharing everything. They’re sharing videos. They’re sharing family moments, work milestones, their children and they like dressing them up.”

She also revealed that it was “important” to her to steer away from “expensive” clothing when creating the line, as well as pieces that aren’t machine washable. Nicky said: “I wanted to create a line that was stylish and comfortable with reasonable prices and I made sure that all the children’s pieces were machine-wash-friendly because who wants to send baby clothes to the dry cleaner?”

Michael Kors has joined forces with fashion artist David Downton for a special capsule collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Kors has joined forces with fashion artist David Downton for a special capsule collection. The world-famous designer has confirmed that the new collection is to debut at his runway show at the Beaumont Theater in New York City on Wednesday (14.02.18), with the capsule being made available in stores later this year.

Downton has previously worked with the likes of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar magazines, while he has also produced portraits for the likes of Cate Blanchett and Dita Von Teese. The designer explained, according to Women’s Wear Daily: “This is our first collaboration with an artist for Michael Kors Collection, and it is very personal. David captures people’s essence and style without feeling the need to draw every detail about them – it’s the magic of a great illustrator.”

Kors is also set to host a dinner at JG Melon following the show to toast their partnership. The announcement comes shortly after the fashion brand hailed its acquisition of Jimmy Choo as a success.

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Kors has hailed its acquisition of Jimmy Choo as a success. The luxury fashion brand bought the British fashion house in November last year and Michael Kors – which announced a revenue increase of 6.5 per cent to $1.44 billion for the third financial quarter – is pleased with the integration of the brand, Michal Kors Holdings Limited mediates.

John D Idol, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer, explained: “We are pleased with our third quarter performance, which delivered better than expected results and saw the successful integration of Jimmy Choo into our luxury group. The Michael Kors brand continued to make progress on Runway 2020 initiatives across product innovation, brand engagement and customer experience.”

Idol explained that in spite of the deal, Jimmy Choo has continued to produce “innovative fashion luxury product offerings”.

He said: “At Jimmy Choo, we continued to deliver glamorous luxury product and engaging brand communications, which helped drive revenue during the quarter.”

Prior to the acquisition, it was hoped that Jimmy Choo would give Michael Kors a new avenue for international growth. The American brand also hoped to establish a foothold in the luxury shoe market.

At the time, Michael Kors, who is the honorary chairman and chief creative officer, said in a statement: “We admire the glamorous style and trend-setting nature of Jimmy Choo designs.”

Rihanna’s stylist Jahleel Weaver: I’m blessed to be able to say that and to go to work every day and see black people

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna’s stylist feels “blessed” to work for the singer. Jahleel Weaver, who serves as Rihanna’s stylist and as a junior creative director at Fenty, has revealed he considers himself to be fortunate to be part of one of the few brands that sees black people as a priority.

He explained: “I’m blessed to be able to say that and to go to work every day and see black people.”

Weaver also revealed that Rihanna’s Puma collection was inspired by what the chart-topping singer-songwriter has seen and experienced during her own life. Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), he shared: “She always says the first woman she saw put on make-up was a black woman – her mother.

“It was natural for her to obviously appeal to that, but also to appeal to all women. Is she the first person ever to offer dark skin foundations? No. But is she the first person to maybe market to them in a very long time?

“I feel like there are some companies now that are seeing there’s a demand for this and saying, ‘Oh, well we’ve had this forever.’ But it’s like, did you not market to them because you thought you wouldn’t make money?

“But I’m happy that she started this conversation, to say [to the beauty and fashion industries] ‘Hey. These are people and we have a lot of money to spend and if you show up for them, they’ll show up for you.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham loves to walk around naked. The 30-year-old model has revealed that one of the ways she and husband Justin Ervin keep the spark alive in their marriage is by walking around their home without any clothes on.

She told the New York Post newspaper: “We like to walk around the house naked together. It keeps things fresh.”

Ashley has recently joined forces with Marina Rinaldi Denim to launch a new plus-size jean line. And the brunette beauty – who is famous for her enviably curvaceous figure – has revealed she was determined to design some “inclusive” pieces.

She explained: “Our sizes run up to 22. I wanted to create something that’s inclusive for all women.”

Meanwhile, Ashley recently revealed she considers herself to be a “special case”. The American star explained that unlike the majority of people, she feels more comfortable being naked than when she’s fully clothed. She said: “Not every woman is like this, not every model is like this, but I’m a special case in that I would walk around butt-naked if I could, because it’s just more comfortable for me.

“My mom said growing up that I was like a nudist and just walked around the house butt-naked all the time.”

Previously, Ashley also credited her career success to her willingness to make “bold moves”. OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Graham says her “authentic and vibrant” personality helped her to secure her collaboration with Marina Rinaldi. The 30-year-old beauty has joined forces with the plus-size label for a new denim line, and she’s revealed how the collaboration came about.

She shared: “I’ve been working with Marina Rinaldi for a few years and have always appreciated their mission to design quality and fashionable clothing for curvy women, who are often ignored in the luxury space.

“They approached me because they saw something authentic and vibrant in me, which could add a different perspective for the brand. This was such an exciting offer because I was able to put my own spin on denim trends.”

Ashley also revealed she played a hands-on role in the design process. She told the New York Post newspaper: “I worked closely with the MR design team on fabrics, on silhouettes and fit – even on small details like buttons or zippers. I didn’t play fit model, but we took staple pieces from my own wardrobe, like body-con dresses, pencil skirts and structured jackets, and made them in denim.”

The brunette beauty already has her own impressive collection of jeans. And she’s revealed what she looks for in the perfect pair. Ashley said: “The fit has to be perfect. I have an hourglass figure, so sometimes jeans fit my thighs and hips, but are too large in the waist, which is why stretch denim is my go-to.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr plans to ban her children from using Snapchat. The 34-year-old beauty already has a seven-year-old son called Flynn with her ex-husband Olrlando Bloom and she’s currently pregnant with her first child with Evan Spiegel, who she married last year.

But Miranda has confirmed that neither of her kids will be downloading the app anytime soon. Appearing on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, Miranda was asked whether her children will be using Snapchat and she shared: “Oh, no, I don’t think so. What I love about Snap is you can send to your friends and family these little intimate moments that you’re sharing. So my family in Australia – we Snap all day long. But publicly, it’s a different thing. You want to keep some things private.”

However, Miranda was happy to reveal that Flynn is looking forward to welcoming a sibling. She said: “He’s so excited that Evan and I had been together for a while and he was like, ‘When are we going to have another baby brother or sister?’ And we were like, ‘Look, we’ve got to get married first.’

“So the day after the wedding, he comes running in and he’s like, ‘Mommy, is it in there?’ I was like, ‘Honey, give it a minute.'”

Despite looking forward to the arrival of their baby, Miranda recently admitted that her second pregnancy has been more troublesome. She said: “I have been getting hormonal headaches, which I never got with Flynn. Apparently, my doctor said [with] the second pregnancy, your hormones kind of kick in a little stronger because they’re like, ‘Oh, yeah. I know what’s happening. I know what to do.’ So that’s probably why.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Ratajkowski used to draw wedding dresses for her teacher in third grade. The 26-year-old model has revealed that her passion for fashion can be traced back to her school days, and Emily said that her interest in the industry led her to draw lots of potential dresses for her dream wedding day, Female First mediates.

She shared: “I discovered a love for fashion when I was in third grade. I would make drawings of all of my potential wedding dresses for my third grade teacher.”

Emily has recently teamed up with the French retail firm The Kooples to design her own handbag. And the brunette says that she would happily take the bag with her wherever she goes. She told W magazine: “The Kooples gave the opportunity to make a beautiful bag that I’m obsessed with and I want to wear it all the time.”

Meanwhile, Emily recently argued that it’s important to be controversial. The model claimed she would rather be criticised for her opinions than not “stand for anything”. She said: “I think if you don’t have haters or if you’re not somewhat controversial, then you’re not standing for anything in general and that’s something I think about a lot.

“So I’d rather be p***ing people off than just everyone liking me. I feel strongly that I’m right about a lot of the things I’m saying and that eventually the world will come around to that, and to me, and that’s worth all the frustrations that come with being criticised and being in the public eye and having people say that you’re basically full of s**t.”

Rihanna has released a Valentine’s Day-themed capsule of socks

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna has released a Valentine’s Day-themed capsule of socks. The Bajan beauty is best known for her chart-topping hits, but has recently turned her attention to her ambitions in the fashion world, collaborating with Stance for her new Cold Hearted collection.

The new range, which Rihanna has teased on her Twitter account, features three pairs of bejeweled calf-length socks, which are being sold for as much as $125. Prior to releasing the socks, Rihanna wrote on the micro-blogging website: “Happy Valentine’s ladies. My newest collab with @stance drops tonight! Get the #ColdHearted collection at Midnight PST on http://ri-hanna.io/stancech #rihannaxstance (sic)”

In 2017, Rihanna admitted her passion for looking good could be traced back to her school days, when she used to frequently experiment with her uniform. The 29-year-old star would have loved to be recognised as “the best dressed” during her younger years, but she thinks when she was at school her style “wasn’t there yet”.

Speaking about her previous style choices at the launch of her school-friendly Fenty U collection, she said to Vogue magazine: “I think I’d want best dressed, but I wasn’t there yet in terms of style. In high school, I stayed to myself. I was a loner.”

The ‘Work’ hitmaker doesn’t think her fashion sense was as well developed when she was a teenager as it is now. But she still used to try to put her personal touch on her school attire.

Rihanna explained: “You would try to express yourself any way you could. [I’d] push it with an earring. You’re not allowed to wear huge earrings. I would try to push it with my hair with extensions and a little colour.

“It was not the cutest belt – it was in Barbados colours, blue and yellow stripes – [but] you could [define] your waist. Girls would constantly be adjusting their belt all day long!
“[And] my hem. I would take it up little by little so no one would notice.”

The 25-year-old beauty is one of the newest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue Rookies, but she’s revealed that her professional duties with stop her from being with boyfriend Danny Amendola on the big day.

She shared: “I’m doing my Sports Illustrated media week during Valentine’s Day, so I’m going to be working which is a huge bummer. But I’m hoping to go away before Valentine’s Day to kind of make up for it.”

Despite her frustration, Olivia is thrilled to be chosen as one of the iconic magazine’s newest stars. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she explained: “I’m really honoured to be amongst such great company. A lot of the women in that category do so much more than just model. They’re business women, and I’ve admired them for a long time, so it’s great.”

The new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue features a section called ‘In Her Own Words’, which is designed to help empower women. And Olivia has insisted it’s a welcome addition to the publication. Nicole Richie: My fashion choices are extremely emotional. I’m very passionate about colour and I know that it has a direct effect on the energy that I have around me.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Richie loves the “amazing” power of make-up. The 36-year-old designer – who has children Harlow, 10, and Sparrow, eight, with husband Joel Madden – thinks cosmetics are great for transformation without hiding who a person really is.

She said: “Make-up has power. You can transform yourself into another being, which I think is really amazing. I know women who feel most like themselves when they have a full face of makeup on and that makes them feel strong about themselves. We as women have every tool that we need in order to feel our strongest. best self. I don’t think that makeup has to hide you. I think it can accentuate what you already have.”

But Nicole feels most empowered by fashion and her choice of clothes is very much influenced by her mood. She told People Style: “My fashion choices are extremely emotional. I am somebody who likes a lot of colour around me. It elevates me. I’m very passionate about colour and I know that it has a direct effect on the energy that I have around me. And so when I’m putting something on, that definitely changes the way that I feel and the way that I approach the day.”

And at the moment, the ‘Candidly Nicole’ star’s beauty focus is on her hair and she’s enjoying letting her natural locks “breathe”. I’m not shooting right now so I’m not colouring it, I’m just letting it breathe. It feels really nice.

“Right now I really do feel 100 percent in my own skin. I feel the most like myself. I could cut it off in a week, who knows? All of my hair decisions have been very much on the fly. But right now I’m really just enjoying living.”

The ‘Empire’ star – who underwent laproscopic bariatric surgery in May 2016 – thinks people are horrified by her weight when they meet. Speaking at the MAKERS conference, she added: “It’s what I deal with every time someone takes a picture with me. Sometimes when I’m being interviewed by a fashion reporter, I can just hear their inner dialogue, ‘How is she getting away with it? Why is she so confident? How does she deal with that body? Oh my god that body! Holy s**t I’m going to catch fat!'”

Gabourey claimed she is always asked how she is so confident, and explained it is because she is having a “good time” and leading a “good life”, regardless of what people think of her. She said: “I always wonder if that’s the first thing they ask Rihanna when they meet her. ‘Riri, how are you so confident?’ Of course not. Everybody knows why Rihanna’s confident. She’s beautiful. How am I so confident? It’s my good time and it’s my good life despite what you think of me. I live my life. Miranda Kerr: Snacking regularly when I’m pregnant helps me feel less nauseous

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Kerr admits that snacking is a big part of her pregnancy diet. The 34-year-old model is currently pregnant with her second child and her first with husband Evan Spiegel, and the brunette beauty has opened up about her unusual diet during a Snapchat video for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, The Nation mediates.

During a trip around the supermarket, Miranda – who already has a seven-year-old son called Flynn with her ex-husband, actor Orlando Bloom – explained: “Because I’m pregnant, I like to snack a lot. Snacking regularly when I’m pregnant helps me feel less nauseous.”

Despite her love of snacks, Miranda remains health-conscious about what she puts in her body, revealing she is still committed to eating “organic” food.

Timothée Chalamet won’t use stylist: I don’t want to work with a stylist or anything..

OHMYGOSSIP — Timothée Chalamet won’t use a stylist. The ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor is having “fun” trying out new red carpet looks and would rather choose the designers he wants to work with himself rather than have someone select his wardrobe.

Discussing his look for the SAG Awards with Frank Ocean for V Man magazine, he said: “It’s going to be.. I  don’t touch my Raf, please don’t touch my Raf. I’m such a fan boy. [Being involved] with fashion has been really fun, just as a fan. I don’t want to work with a stylist or anything. I’ve been following designers like Raf [Simons], Haider Ackermann, Hedi Slimane – these guys are like rock stars. They’re artists.”

The 30-year-old musician agreed, and admitted he likes the “really great connection” between different creative areas and enjoys having an outlet outside of his main career.
He said: “Yeah, they’re artists. There’s this really great connection between all these [creative] fields. You’re finding your own creativity and being excited about that; it’s cool.
“I’ve been into photography for six or seven years. It’s almost like this quiet search for joy. It actually provides me with the same feeling that making a record does: imagining or dreaming about something, and then it being in the real world.”

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old actor admitted he’s amazed at how much his life has changed in such a short period of time. He said: “A year ago, I was in Hell’s Kitchen, [eating] bacon, egg, and cheeses, kicking it at my buddy Will’s–tonight I’m going to the SAG Awards. It’s been a nonstop, weird-ass six months–a lot of fun, but trippy, too.”

Designer Roland Mouret isn’t only a close friend of Meghan Markle’s, he’s also rumored to be in the running to design her royal wedding dress

OHMYGOSSIP — Roland Mouret has hinted he may be designing Meghan Markle’s wedding dress. The 56-year-old Frenchman is one of a number of designers who have been linked with the coveted job, and he’s revealed what it’s like to work with the former ‘Suits’ actress.

He told the New York Post newspaper: “Meghan knows really well what she likes and the main thing with Meghan is to listen to her and work in collaboration with her.”

Then, Mouret furthered speculation that he’s helping Meghan to prepare for her much-anticipated marriage to Prince Harry by adding: “I’ve already said too much.”
The designer also revealed he was thrilled to have seen former First Lady Michelle Obama wear a pair of his black trousers during her recent appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’.

Mouret has never worked with Obama, but was delighted to see her wear one of his designs. He shared: “To be honest, I never dressed her during her time as First Lady, so it was such an amazing surprise for me to see her in the trousers – she carried them amazingly with that top. She has an effortless attitude that I really love.”

Meghan and Prince Harry are due to tie the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on May 19. And Priyanka Chopra – who is a good friend of Meghan – recently hinted that she’ll be among the guests at the star-studded ceremony. Asked if she is going to be in attendance, she teased: “If you see me there, you’ll know.”
