Rosie Fortescue saved money from Made In Chelsea to create jewellery line

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Fortescue saved up her money from ‘Made In Chelsea’ to create her own luxury jewellery brand.
The former reality star appeared on the E4 series from 2011 to 2017 and has now created her own eponymous accessory line, named Rosie Fortescue Jewellery, and Rosie has revealed that she always knew she wanted to design her own pieces and work for herself because one of her “earliest memories” was trying on her mother, Tessa’s, rings.
Speaking to the New York Post’s Page Six column, she said: “I’ve always tried on my mum’s rings, it’s one of my earliest memories as a child. Just trying on her rings, trying on her jewellery
“I just kind of knew that if I was able to, I wanted to start my own brand. I had done lots of internships and had lots of jobs here and there, but I really wanted to work for myself. So I thought, I’ll save up the money that I’ve made from ‘Made in Chelsea’ and I will start my jewellery brand.”
And the 29-year-old beauty also knew that wanted to make her brand “affordable” but didn’t want to skip on the “quality” of her pieces when she was designing her own line.
She explained: “I didn’t want to design for the fan of the show and have my brand totally supported by ‘Made in Chelsea’. When I launched the brand, I was leaving the show or just about to leave, but I wanted it to be accessible to all. I wanted people to be able to treat themselves, I didn’t want my brand to be a birthday or Christmas present kind of thing.
“The quality was really important to me, and I really wanted people to be able to wear it every day at a more affordable price, but also [the jewellery] would last to wear every day and it wouldn’t tarnish, so it was really about finding that right price point. Quality is important so that people can keep these pieces and wear them every day and trust that it won’t tarnish.”
Rosie was determined to create her own line rather than work with an existing company so she could have “full control” over her brand.
She said: “I think jewellery for me now is really what I love and it’s my passion. I think as soon as you step into the realm of footwear and clothes, you get kind of stuck into this seasonal dilemma, which is not going to be fun for me, and not why I started my brand. I did it so I can have full control and launch when I want to.”

Tyra Banks hid cellulite for Victoria’s Secret shows

OHMYGOSSIP — Tyra Banks used to wear “long trains” when she walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to hide her cellulite.
The 45-year-old model was a VS Angel from 1997 to 2005 and one of the star attractions in the company’s catwalk lingerie extravaganzas.
In the new issue of V Magazine, V Magazine, Tyra interviewed Miss Universe Catriona Gray and in the article she revealed that the other models would be “jealous” of her extravagant long looks for the runway and Tyra spilled it was a handy trick to help cover the dimples on her legs and butt.
Gray said: “I’ve actually seen girls backstage spraying their body with hairspray. Apparently it helps with jiggling.”
Tyra then said: “Oh no way! So it’s a like a cellulite stopper? You know what’s so funny … For years, when I did the Victoria’s Secret runway, I would get these long trains and other models would get jealous, but it was to cover my cellulite! I wish I would have known the hairspray trick; I could’ve shown a little more!”
Catriona added: “I haven’t tried it, but I saw girls doing it.”
And the ‘America’s Top Model’ star has learnt to embrace her “flaws” in her long modelling career because they are “awesome”.
Tyra simply said: “I am all about ‘flawesome’ which means your flaws are awesome.”
Catriona works alongside the charity ‘Young Focus’, which gives underprivileged children and young people from the Philippines the chance to develop themselves by means of education, and the beauty revealed that becoming Miss Universe was never her end goal.
Catriona, 25, said: “We love pageantry in the Philippines, but growing up my dream was never to be a beauty queen; I entered a pageant at 21 to bring awareness to the charity I was working for, and still work for. Even at Miss Universe, I was just grateful to be there. My mindset wasn’t, what if I don’t win; it was an attitude of gratitude.”

Beyonce’s make-up artists admits Coachella look had to ‘hold up’

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce’s make-up artists admits her Coachella beauty look had to “hold up” and withstand her energetic stage show.
The 36-year-old R&B superstar is known for her flawless complexion, and the man behind her signature glow is beauty guru Sir John, and he has admitted that he used new body make-up brand, Alleven Colour Shield to create her iconic look at the Californian music festival in 2018.
He told Harper’s Bazaar UK: “I was like ‘I don’t have the luxury of working with women who just jump in the air for an editorial shot, Bey’s going to do a lot for Coachella – it’s like cardio on stage. Can this [Alleven] hold up to that?’ And it did.”
And the beauty expert has now teamed up with Alleven to extend the range and develop the right colours.
He added: “I work with women from Harlem to Hong Kong. It speaks to where we are socially – social media will drag you to hell if you’re not inclusive of richer complexions.”
Sir John also insisted that body make-up is crucial to “perfecting” your skin because it will “conceal” and help hide any imperfections, unlike a self-tan that will just add a glow to your complexion.
He said: “Self-tanners will give you colour, but your bruise or vein or pigmentation will still show through. Body make-up will give you a perfecting element. It can conceal.
“If you use self-tan you generally need to do it everywhere, with body make-up you can just do the visible areas you’ll have on show and then wash it off when you want. Also, with tanner if you get caught in the rain while it’s developing, you’ll get streaks. And you don’t need to worry about rubbing this body make-up in, like you do with tan. Body make-up makes you look a bit more ‘finished’.”

She told People magazine: “[I’m] such a beauty junkie. Everything I was using no longer was recommended to be using while pregnant. I just started using natural face products, then make-up and it became a slow unrolling of getting into more of these toxin-free [items]. But being a beauty junkie, I didn’t want to sacrifice quality.”
And Jenna was surprised when she found that “toxin-free” make-up didn’t skip on quality, and now uses them in her daily regime to keep her skin looking fresh and glowy.

She continued: “I need to have those days so I don’t feel like I’m totally depriving myself. love Mexican food. To me going and having a huge vegetarian burrito, or to eat my weight in chips and guacamole or French fries, that is my cheat night. Basically, anything spicy, salty and margaritas.”

Jamie Dornan can do ‘100 press ups’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan does press ups during breaks from filming.
The 36-year-old actor makes himself go to the gym regularly as he wouldn’t work out if the equipment was at his house, and he’s not afraid to exercise during his down time on set because he wants to look as “good” as he can “in that moment”.
Speaking on the ‘Out To Lunch with Jay Rayner’ podcast: “I go to the gym four times a week and I do the bike every time, if I had a gym at my house I wouldn’t use it.
“Oh yeah I’ve done [press ups between shots] for various reasons, I’m about to have my top off and it’s going to be committed to celluloid forever- why not try to looks as good as I can in that moment.
“I’ve also done it when I’m meant to look particularly spent and exhausted, in a scene when running in ‘The Fall’ or whatever, and sometimes I do it because I have a lot of energy and I don’t know what to do with it, so I’ll drop and do press ups for something to do just to tire myself a little. I just enjoy press-ups, I think it’s quite a cool thing that you’re able to do. I [can do], not that many, 100.”
Jamie has a “great appreciation” for food so is thankful that he has a “high metabolism”.
He added: “I’m not particularly picky, I have a great appreciation of great food. I do have a high metabolism, I do play to that. I go through phases of exercising a lot, I used to play a lot of sport growing up, I was very sporty – I always thought I’d work in sport but it didn’t work out that way.”
The ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ star – who has Dulcie, five, Elva, three, and recently welcomed his third child with his wife Amelia Warner – also explained that he has got into more of a fitness routine for “health reasons” since having children, and credited his washboard abs to using the trampoline for an “hour and a half” when he’s at home.
He continued: “Until I’ve had kids I’ve got into a routine of keeping fit because mainly for health reasons rather than purely aesthetic reasons.
“Being on the trampoline for an hour and half session every other day is exhausting. A few years ago I found myself wondering out to the garden and my wife was join watching me and I just got on the trampoline without the kids, it was great fun.”

The 21-year-old R&B singer is known for her luminous complexion on and off camera, and now the star has teamed up with the luxury French brand to “lend them” her “stylish beauty” for upcoming editorial and digital projects, and will be working closely with the Creative Image Director for Dior Make-Up, Peter Philips.

“Smith will lend Dior her stylish beauty and modern freshness for unique editorial and digital projects in partnership with Peter Philips, Creative Image Director for Dior Make-Up.”
The ‘Teenage Fantasy’ songstress explained that beauty in 2019 means being “comfortable in [her] own skin” and embracing her flaws.
Jorja said: “[Beauty in 2019 is about] being comfortable in your skin, and knowing that your imperfections make you perfect. You have to realise that you’ve got flaws and they’re fine – they just make you who you are.”
And Jorja is a particular fan of Dior’s foundation because it gives her a dewy “glow”.
She added: “I really love foundation! And I like that Dior has skincare in its products. Normally I just do a skin base, with a nice highlight and bronzer, then sometimes blusher, eyebrows and eyes – I like looking like me. I like dewy stuff – I like looking glowy and fresh.”
The ‘Lost & Found’ hitmaker also opened up about how she has attended several photoshoots where she has not been able to fit into clothes given to her, however the star insisted that it has made her more confident about her body.
Speaking to ELLE UK’s June issue – which is on sale from Thursday (02.05.19) – she added: “I’ve definitely [felt more confident wearing certain things as you’ve got a bit older], yeah. When I first moved to London from Walsall, I remember once telling my manager that I didn’t ever wear shorts or skirts. Photo shoots have kind of helped, because I do so many shoots where they only have clothes in sample sizes available, and I’m not sample size.
“Having to deal with not really fitting into certain clothes taught me a lot. If I was 15, I would have been so upset. But you just have to wear what you’re comfortable in.”

Rosario Dawson ‘drinks clay’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosario Dawson “drinks clay” as part of her daily skincare routine.
The 39-year-old actress is known for her glowing complexion and flawless skin, and believes the detoxing drinks she consumes to “clean out” her system help her to stay looking and feeling good.
She told The Cut: “I define self-care by the individual, so, for some people that’s getting up super early in the morning and training for a marathon, you know? Not something I personally want to do; I want to wake up early in the morning, and start my day with some kind of warm water, like tea or lemon water.
“I’ve been starting to drink clay lately. There’s really good, fine, food-grade clay that helps to clean out your system and rid you of parasites.”
And Rosario likes to keep her daily routine “natural” and containing lots of “vitamins”.
She added: “I’m very natural about stuff, so it’s clays and vitamins in my skin care, too. I’m not a retinol and acids-type person; I can’t do all of that kind of stuff. It’s about finding the stuff that works for me.
“Someone else may swear by something, but if it makes you feel good, centres you, renders you present, and it allows you to show up feeling like your best self, then that’s what you need to include in your self-care routine.”
The ‘Daredevil’ star also makes sure to switch off her phone and watch a film to help wind down and get the best night’s sleep possible.
She continued: “Right now, I’ve been trying to do the meditation-face mask-bath at once. But almost always, at night I’m turning off the phone, having a great meal, and a good conversation.
“Sometimes watching a movie or whatever, but the main focus is trying to get good sleep, hydrating, and relaxing.”

And Liam has revealed that the collaboration was an obvious choice for him because fashion started as a “hobby”, but since being able to be part of the “creative process”, he has fallen in love with it all over again.
He told WWD: “Fashion has slowly crept up on me. I knew if I wanted to do something in fashion it should be with Hugo. They design clothes that guys like me want to wear. Fashion started out as a hobby for me, but I’m loving being part of the creative process.”
Liam will work alongside Hugo and with their creative director, Peter Deirowski, to design the limited edition Hugo x Liam Payne collection for fall 2019, and the bodywear campaign for cruise/resort 2020, which will be shot by fashion photographers Mert & Marcus.

Speaking in the campaign, she said: “I’m not one of those people that wants time to stop. My favourite time of the day is sunset, the golden hour, the golden light, everyone looks so beautiful in that light.
“Every action that I’ve committed myself to is a decisive second, there’s certain things in life that just have to happen when they happen. That word timing is so important.”
The campaign features 10 celebrities, who are all wearing the iconic J12 Chanel watch, in different ads explaining why time is so important and evoking their own memories of the couturier.
The head of creative resources at Chanel, Thomas du Pré de Saint-Maur, told WWD: “The idea is that by taking a certain number of experiences from different ages, different cultures, different life paths, the one thing that links them is a history with Chanel.”
Chanel’s artistic director, Arnaud Chastaingt, reworked the legendary timepieces and insisted that he decided to change “everything” without changing a single part of the watch.
Chastaingt, added: “I would even go so far as to say that for me, starting with a white page, from zero, like for the Boy Friend or the Monsieur, it’s easier than reworking an icon like the J12. Finally I decided to change everything without changing anything.”

Lizzo: Fashion shouldn’t be out of reach

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo doesn’t think fashion should be “unobtainable”.
The 30-year-old singer – whose real name is Melissa Jefferson – thinks style is very unique and knowing she can influence other people is “important” to her.
She said: “Fashion should never be something that is out of your reach or unobtainable. It should be something that you can use as a tool to discover your own personal brand of beauty and to satisfy your taste.
“I think as a big girl, the fact that my brand of beauty is very risqué is very sexually liberating. It is about being aware of yourself in the space that you exist in and the people that you influence is important.”
And Lizzo feels “grateful” that her fashion “journey” has taken her a long way.
She told Vogue.co.uk: “I’m also just grateful for my journey and to remember that I was once only able to wear Dressbarn and now I’m wearing diamond thongs. So, fashion is a journey of self-discovery.”
The ‘Juice’ hitmaker loves “beautiful things” and sees fashion as an expression of her “beauty”.
She added: “I’ve always admired beautiful things and I’ve been a fan of beauty my whole life.
“I think I’ve had the opportunity to have my own definition of beauty and I think that fashion is just an extension of your personal relationship with beauty.”
Lizzo recently admitted she feels “honoured” to be black.
She said: “I am really just so honoured to be graced with this identity. No shade to any other shade on the planet — I just can’t relate. I just love being a black woman, even in a world where are statistically the least desirable. I am still here, and I still rise.”

Miranda Lambert’s Idyllwind fashion line named after horse

OHMYGOSSIP — Miranda Lambert’s fashion line is named after her horse.
The 35-year-old singer launched Idyllwind in September 2018, which features her own signature country style including cowboy boots, denim, sundresses and more, and now the star has revealed that she chose the name in honour of her equine, Ellie Idyllwind, because the new endeavour reminded her of the first time she went horseback riding just five years ago and how she had to ” be brave” in order to “try something new”.
She told Page Six Style: “I had started riding horses at the age of 30. I had never ridden a horse before in my life – it was fun and a bit scary at the same time.
“When thinking about naming the brand and what this clothing line meant to me, it was all about taking risks, being brave and trying something new, and that was represented in my life on horseback at the time, so the name Idyllwind seemed perfect.”
And Miranda wanted her fashion line to be an “extension” of her own style and “music”, and the songstress admitted that she has a “boot problem” because she loves them so much, and had to make sure she included them in her collection.
She added: “Idyllwind is an extension of me, who I am, and my music. It has a vintage Western vibe with an edge; it definitely reflects my personal style.
“It is inspired by what I enjoy doing, what I do when I am on my off time. I am usually in a T-shirt and cutoffs wearing some cute boots. I definitely have a boot problem!”
The ‘Tin Man’ hitmaker loves cowboy style and insisted that she wasn’t aware that “yeehaw couture” is being paraded on red carpets by A-listers wearing the Western-inspired looks.
She continued: “I don’t really know what the ‘yeehaw’ thing is all about, but it’s good to know that the Western trend is being embraced and is considered fashionable.”

Beyonce’s make-up artist will ‘never forget’ when he first worked with her

OHMYGOSSIP — Beyonce’s make-up artist will “never forget” when he first got the opportunity to work with her.
The 36-year-old R&B superstar is known for her flawless complexion, and the man behind her signature glow is beauty expert Sir John, and he has admitted that when he landed the job of working with the ‘Sorry’ songstress, it completely “changed” his life.
Opening up about doing the ‘Formation’ singer’s make-up for the first time, Sir John simply said: “I’ll never forget it, it was a life-changing moment.”
And the A-List makeup guru likes to keep his clients’ faces “illuminated” by applying highlighter with his hands instead of a brush because it is easier to “build up” the product on the face.
He said: “Highlighter is a beautiful make-up add-on that lifts and illuminates your face but apply too much and you can look like a smashed disco ball. Personally, I avoid applying highlighter with a brush as you can’t blend it and you have less control.
“Instead, I use my hands and start with a less-is-more approach, then build it up. Apply your highlight on the ‘oracle bone’ of your cheekbone and make sure it doesn’t cascade down your face – applying with your hands should help prevent this. To contrast with the highlighter, I like to mattify the lids and lips a bit. L’Oréal’s blue setting powder is a great suits-all texture and will tone down any shade.”
Sir John also stressed the importance of having a good contour that has a “sculpted silhouette”.
He told Stella magazine: “Contour is all about the silhouette not the colour. It’s not contouring, it’s sculpting or ‘nontouring’ To erase any VCL – visible contour line, that is – use a blusher brush and brush excess into hairline.”

Kim Kardashian eating vegan ‘when she’s at home’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West is eating vegan “when she’s at home”.
The 38-year-old reality star took to Instagram over the weekend to share a glimpse of her “plant-based” diet, which included a fruity smoothie bowl and a plate of sweet potato and avocado.
Posting the snaps on her Instagram Story, Kim simply wrote: “I am eating all plant-based when I am home.”
Kim is the latest to join a number of A-Listers who are opting for plant-based alternatives, including Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Thandie Newton and Beyonce, who famously went vegan to lose her baby weight for her iconic 2018 Coachella headlining performance.
Although Kim has not spoken publicly about veganism or any intentions to move towards a cruelty-free lifestyle, last year she did reveal that she had finally decided to opt for faux replicates.
Taking to her Snapchat account, the brunette beauty uploaded a video of her dressed as her “style icon” Cher as part of her high school reunion and said: “Hey guys, these nails only mean I’m here in Vegas to see Cher. I have blue nails, this coat is faux fur. That’s my new thing, faux.”
Her decision to banish animal fur from her wardrobe comes just months after Pamela Anderson – who is a long-time vegan and animal rights activist – sent Kim a coral faux mink coat that she custom-designed for her with Russian manufacturer Only Me and an accompanying letter which begged her to drop fur from her life.
The letter said: “Happy holidays from France!
“In the spirit of the season, please accept this coral hip-length faux-mink coat, made especially for you by my partners at Only Me Eco Fur in Russia. As we all ponder New Year’s resolutions, won’t you consider making a meaningful one to stop wearing fur? You’d be setting a trendy, compassionate example … Kim, I know your young fans would admire you and your brand even more if you dropped fur.”
