Kelly Rowland created ‘timeless’ pieces for her JustFab collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Rowland wanted to create “timeless” pieces for her JustFab collection.
The Destiny’s Child star launched her clothing and footwear line with the fashion brand this week, which is inspired by the power of women.
And the 40-year-old singer admitted it was important to design pieces that can be worn time and time again.
She told People: “For me, it was really about this collection being something that I feel like was a necessity and something that was timeless in all of the ladies’ closet. I wanted it to be a gift that continued to give in their closet … That meant a lot to me with this collection.”
The collection – which includes knitwear and basics – was made amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has reminded Kelly how “miraculous and multifaceted” women are.
She wrote on Instagram: “Checking ”become a fashion designer” off my bucket list! My new @justfabonline collection is 100% designed by me. I designed this collection in the middle of the pandemic, and looking around, I was so inspired by the miraculous power of women. This collection was inspired BY strong women with style — made FOR strong women with style. Yes, YOU. I hope y’all love it. #KellyRowlandxJustFab #JustFabPartner (sic)”Meanwhile, the mother-of-two – who has Titan, six, and newborn Noah with husband Tim Weatherspoon – recently admitted she regrets shopping for “trendy s***” in her twenties. She said: “I wish somebody would have told me when I was 20 to buy great pieces, like a great black dress that will last you the test of time. In my twenties I did so much searching for trends and I wish I would have paid attention to classic pieces that I could have had in my closet forever. I wasted so much money on that trendy s***.”

Alongside a snap of the trio rocking the black and white tees, they wrote on Instagram: “we are so thrilled to be releasing this little collab with @palomawool today. we’ve been fans of them for so long and it was so fun to work with them on this!! the second they sent us this design, we fell in love. Meanwhile, Alana recently confessed she steals her sister’s vintage Levi jeans.
The musician confessed she always sneaks into Danielle’s wardrobe to swipe her best fashion finds, as she’s the “Queen” of finding vintage Levi’s.
Speaking in a joint video interview with her sisters, she admitted: “I have to be honest with you, these are Danielle’s jeans that I stole and she asked me earlier. She was like, ‘Oh, where are those jeans from?’ I was like, ‘They’re yours!’ These are vintage Levi’s. Danielle is the Queen of finding vintage Levi’s. She really is the Queen.”
Their older sister, Este, also confessed she takes Danielle’s clothes, too.
She added: “There’s gonna be a lot of that in this video. Danielle gets the things and we steal the things.”
As well as having an eye for finding Levi’s, Danielle has an “obsession” with Prada Sport and spends most of her time on the internet trying to track down clothing from the brand.
She explained: “I have an unhealthy obsession with Prada Sport. I’m always on the internet searching, finding.”

Camila Mendes can’t change up her hair while she is on Riverdale

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Mendes can’t change her hair while she is on ‘Riverdale’.
The 26-year-old actress – who plays Veronica Lodge on The CW teen drama – is desperate to switch up her “pitch-black” hairstyle but has to wait until she leaves the programme before she can make any dramatic changes to her style and colour. She explained: “As long as I’m on ‘Riverdale’, I have to stay pitch-black, but I don’t know what I’m going to do when this is all over. It really depends on what role I’m going to play next; I always like to think of how I can make myself look different from my last role through my hair.”
But once she has left, Camila is considering chopping her hair off into a “low maintenance” bob.
She continued: “I’ve always wanted to do an above-the-shoulder bob. I love the low maintenance of it… [and] I think would be really fun and chic. But in a few years’ time, who knows what I’m going to want to do?”
Meanwhile, the ‘Perfect Date’ star said she finds “any excuse” to experiment with make-up.
She told Allure: “There are not many occasions to [experiment with make-up] these days, but I’ll find any excuse. One [make-up artist] did this really fun mixture of different pink gel eyeliner pencils where she applied a cat-eye on top and the bottom, then smudged them together — that’s something I’ve tried to do with different colours, recently with purple hues, and it’s really nice.”
Camila – who is one of Urban Decay’s Global Citizens – previously explained how she has been experimenting with make-up since her teens and believes it is a form of expression.
She said: “I started experimenting with make-up in Junior High from watching my older sister do her make-up before school every day. I fell in love with it as a form of self-expression – it’s inherently playful and exciting. Applying make-up can be such an indulgent experience of self-discovery, and I love the whole process of feeling out my mood and assessing the look I want to achieve in that moment. “I’m definitely an eye [make-up] person – playing with eyeshadow is so entertaining. You get to experiment with multiple shades at once and see how beautifully they can all blend together.”

The 39-year-old tennis ace and her three-year-old daughter – whose full name is Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. – rocked matching black catsuits to model the luxury brand’s new range of mom-and-daughter bodysuits.
In a video clip promoting the campaign, Serena said: “I would definitely call Olympia my mini-me. She is mini Serena.”
Olympia also slipped her feet into some leopard print heels just like her parent’s in one of the shots.
The range was inspired by the court catsuit Serena first wore at the 2018 French Open, shortly after giving birth to Olympia.Elsewhere, Serena – who has Olympia with husband Alexis Ohanian – admitted she is undecided if she’d like her little girl to follow her into a career in tennis.
She added: “I don’t know if I hope if Olympia follows in my footsteps. I want her to do whatever she wants to do and what’s best for her.”
However, Serena previously said she is adamant Olympia will have a career in fashion as she is already judging her fashion looks.
She said: “She dresses me and her father. She’ll set up before bed what we need to wear in the morning. And she says, ‘Blue shirt, blue shirt, blue shirt.’ And then she goes, ‘Mama wear this or these shoes.’ She always tells me to wear heels. She’s currently wearing heels.”She added: “I do wonder what that’s going to be like when she’s a little bit older. I have no idea. We’ll see. I can’t wait. So far, she’s been wearing my heels, so I’m like, ‘She’s going to be in fashion!’ I could’ve sworn today, she looked at me, and she was like, ‘Gee, yeah.’ I was like, ‘You like what mommy’s wearing today?’ When I come out sometimes, she’s like, ‘Oohh! Ma!'”

Martha Stewart: I’m most confident in tight pants

OHMYGOSSIP — Martha Stewart is her “most confident in tight pants”.
The 79-year-old star – who modelled in her teens and 20s before working on Wall Street in the 1960s and 70s – has admitted she feels her best in a tight-fitted pair of slacks.
She told People: “Tight pants have always made me confident.”
Martha recently revealed she would opt for hot pants with “plenty of leg and a little bit of your butt” during her time as a stockbroker.
She said recently: “And I looked great in them. We would sit with our feet up on our desks, and I had high-heeled shoes on or boots. And that’s what we wore to work.
“We were the real thing. You saw the movie ‘Wall Street?’ I lived it. I mean, every man on Wall Street was trying to get you. Every man was trying to touch you in the cab. We had martinis for lunch … [I] was a modest girl. I did not f*** around, if you want to use that word.”
Elsewhere, Martha spoke about teaming up with Easy Spirit on a footwear brand, which she hailed as “fashionable, yet functional”.
She said: “We wanted to provide the woman on the go with comfortable shoes that are fashionable, yet functional.
“Our collection includes stylish shoes for people who understand that comfort is so important and each of our shoes offers support and effortless ease where you need it the most.”
Meanwhile, Martha recently admitted she found the #MeToo movement “really painful”.
The entrepreneur has known “almost every single one” of the men who were accused and explained why she has complicated feelings about some allegations.
She said: “It has been really painful for me. I’ve known almost every single one of the famous guys that has been accused and set aside.
“Some were certainly guilty of a lot of what was accused. But some were – it’s just their awful personalities.
“I am not going to mention their names, but I know those people very, very well, and you know the man just talks about sex during dinner. That doesn’t mean anything to me.”

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: I’m okay with things not sitting where they did pre-baby

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has vowed to “push back” on any ideas of how she “should be or look”.
The 33-year-old model – who has three-year-old son Jack with husband Jason Statham – insisted that while “things don’t sit where they did pre-baby”, she’s embracing getting older and is content with how she looks.
Speaking to the April 2021 issue of ELLE UK magazine – of which she is the cover star – Rosie said: “As someone who’s built a lot, if not all, of their business on looking a certain way, there may come a time when my answer to this is truthfully quite different, but I’m still 33 – so I’m starting to see fine lines and perhaps things don’t sit where they did pre-baby but I’m okay with it, I can make it work. Certainly, I know myself and as I get older, I will be pushing back on any kind of ideas that I should be or look a certain way.”
Elsewhere, the blonde beauty – who flaunts her impressive figure in white underwear on the cover – teased her upcoming skincare and make-up line, which her brand Rose Inc. is aiming to launch this summer, and spoke of how much she loves the “transformative nature of beauty and skincare”.
She told the publication: “I’m sure it will come as no surprise, even though I haven’t talked about it publicly yet, that we’re launching skincare and cosmetics probably end of August or September.
“I love the transformative nature of beauty and skincare. As someone that’s had acne-prone skin my whole adult life, skincare products are very meaningful to me … There’s always something that’s deemed frivolous and superficial about beauty and make-up. And I’m okay with that, but when you really look at it, those small [transformations] in somebody’s day actually can really build up to make a big difference.”
Rosie also opened up about the challenges of the past year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and insisted it’s perfectly fine to “lock yourself” away and pour a giant glass of wine to get through these crazy times.
She said: “You have to just go lock yourself in the bathroom or pour yourself a very large glass of wine at the end of the night. And it’s just the way it is. That’s real and that is life and I’m not going to sugar coat it.”
The full interview is in the April issue of ELLE UK, on sale from March 4 and via www.ELLE.com/uk

The 41-year-old actress starred as Andie Anderson in the 2003 chick flick, and has revealed she has “no idea” where the beautiful gown she wore for the part is, and she wants to be reunited with it.
Speaking to Elle, Kate – who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the movie – said: “You know what? I have no idea where that dress is! It’s like the universe is testing us to just stay focused on staying healthy, staying connected and making sure we keep others safe. Shalom Harlow re-signs with IMG Models

OHMYGOSSIP — Shalom Harlow has returned to IMG Models.
The 47-year-old Canadian supermodel and actress was repped by the agency in the late-1990s, and had been signed to The Lions, but is now returning to IMG to focus on global ventures and endorsements.
Ivan Bart, president of IMG Models and Fashion, told WWD: “We’re so happy to welcome Shalom back to IMG Models.
“She is a defining face in fashion whose body of work has influenced many to embrace their creativity, challenge the status quo and push boundaries within the industry. We’re excited for her next chapter in fashion incorporating her interest in holistic health and wellness and will focus on connecting her with strategic opportunities that compliment her authentic self.”
Shalom – who is known for movies such as ‘In & Out’, ‘Vanilla Sky’ and ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ – has walked the catwalk for countless brands, such as Prada, Chanel and Marc Jacobs, and most recently appeared in Moschino’s digital fall 2021 presentation as part of Milan Fashion Week.
The runway beauty is currently studying polarity and biodynamic craniosacral therapy, and is a yoga instructor.
Meanwhile, Shalom previously admitted she thought it was “ludicrous” when she was scouted to be a model at a Cure concert in the early-1990s.
She recalled: “I was scouted at a Cure concert. A model scout approached me there and asked me if I modelled, and I thought that was ludicrous. When I started coming to do shows in New York, New York had a pretty electric energy then. It was the early-1990s, and there was a lot of really fun theatrical types that were designing, and so the runway kind of became this stage for all of these mega model personalities to flaunt their stuff.”

Ana de Armas named Estee Lauder ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Ana de Armas has joined Estée Lauder as a global brand ambassador.
The 32-year-old actress will be featured in a series of campaigns as part of her new role for the skincare and make-up giant.
The ‘Knives Out’ star’s first campaign will drop later this month for the firm’s spring fragrance.
Ana said: “Growing up in Cuba, I really admire and connect with the story of Mrs. Estée Lauder. She understood that you have to work hard to turn your dreams into a reality. Everything she did was inspiring then and continues to be inspiring today. I am proud to become part of that legacy and share her story.”
Stéphane de La Faverie, group president of The Estée Lauder Companies, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Ana to the Estée Lauder brand.
“Her story of overcoming barriers to achieve her dreams and become an accomplished actress is inspiring to women around the world, and her talent, warmth, and beauty will bring a new energy to the brand.”
The ‘No Time To Die’ star previously shared her earliest beauty memory is when she would create homemade exfoliators with her mother using sugar and oil.
She recalled: “I remember using homemade exfoliators and masks with my mom — we invented them using sugar and oils. I must have been 9 or 10 years old at the time. Growing up in Cuba, I was always outside and on the beach. So I had lots of sun on my face, and the freckles would come out.
“But as a teenager, you don’t really think about that too much. I also didn’t really have products to put on, because in Cuba that’s not something you usually have. My awareness about taking care of my skin and protecting it happened as I got older.”

Dannii Minogue: Shopping made me depressed

OHMYGOSSIP — Dannii Minogue has admitted shopping used to make her feel “depressed”.
The 49-year-old singer hated going shopping with her friends when she was growing up as she could never find clothes that fit her petite figure, whereas her mates would be able to pick anything off the rail.
She told Woman and Home: “I used to think there was something really wrong with me. My friends could just go shopping and buy something and everything they see in their size would fit and look great, whereas nothing I could see would fit. It would be £50 on alterations and would take another week. So shopping was a depressing experience. My girlfriends would ask, ‘Do you want to go shopping? and I’d say, ‘No, I’ll meet you for lunch instead.'”
Instead, Dannii found herself often shopping in the kid’s section of the store as fashion brands would only carry a few items in her size.
She added: “I remember when plus sizes came in and I’d go I’m not the regular size, I’m not the plus-size and the kid’s mannequins don’t make me want to go shopping in the kid’s section so you get depressed because I don’t see myself there. Each brand might do one thing in petite, so I’d have to look through a whole department store to find 10 things that might fit me or they don’t have my size. It’s how it affects your confidence which has always been a big thing for me. ”
The ‘I Begin To Wonder’ hitmaker has just launched her own clothing line which carries a range of sizes to fit a variety of body shapes.
And Kylie Minogue’s sister has ensured her items are all tailored perfectly to fit a petite body shape after spending years struggling to find the right clothes for herself.
She said: “As a petite, it’s been a challenge my whole life to get those things that fit properly. Most people think if they’re too long in the leg, you can just hem it. You can, but they rise where the crotch is and where the knees fall – everything is just not in the right spot so it doesn’t feel good and it doesn’t look amazing.”

Sarah Paulson gets Prada cast on injured arm

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Paulson wore a “custom Prada cast” on her arm for the Golden Globes.
The 46-year-old actress suffered an unknown injury hours before the ceremony on Sunday (28.03.21) but that didn’t get in the way of her glamorous outfit plans as the fashion house who created her satin off-the-shoulder gown were on hand to create an emergency accessory, complete with logo, and its purple colour perfectly matched the ‘Ratched’ star’s lilac eyeshadow.
Sarah’s stylist, Karla Welch, shared a photo of her client on Instagram along with the caption: “When you’re Lady Paulson, you get a custom Prada cast to go with your custom Prada dress.”
While it is unclear how Sarah injured her arm, hours before the ceremony started, she shared a photo on her own Instagram account of her applying ice to her limb, which was heavily bandaged.
The post was captioned: “So this happened.”
Sarah – who lost out on the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama accolade to ‘The Crown’ star Emma Corrin – has long had a partnership with Prada and recently shared her excitement at the fashion house’s latest collection, a collaboration with Raf Simons.
Alongside a photo of her modelling the range, she wrote on Instagram a few weeks ago: “Y’all know how I feel about @prada
“Some really magical, memorable moments in their creations. Now you add the inimitable @rafsimons to the mix, and you have a collaboration for the ages. RAF x Mrs. Prada is a dream come true for all of us who love fashion. #pradapartner (sic)”

Catherine O’Hara paid homage to alter ego with Golden Globes outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine O’Hara paid homage to her ‘Schitt’s Creek’ character with her Golden Globes outfit.
The 66-year-old actress donned a printed custom Vera Wang suit to collect the award for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy at Sunday’s (28.02.21) ceremony, and her stylist, Andrew Gelwicks, explained it’s floral pattern was a nod to her alter ego, Moira Rose.
Andrew told People: “Because this is the last season for ‘Schitt’s Creek’, I thought it would be nice to give a nod towards Moira’s character, which I hope we accomplished.
“I always do try to differentiate the actor from their character, but when there’s an opportunity to pay homage then I think it can be a nice moment.”
The stylist praised the designer for the “whimsically edgy approach to chic suiting” in Catherine’s outfit, and explained it was a “truly collaborative effort” between Vera and the actress.
He said: “This was a truly collaborative effort, which is one of the best parts about working on a custom look.
“Vera Wang completely understood what Catherine and I were aiming for this Golden Globes. She has a unique ability to capture the personality of each woman she dresses, and it was a privilege to work with such an iconic artist.”
Catherine accessorised the suit with Cartier diamonds.
The actress recently admitted she has “finally” learned some important lessons about fashion since she started working with Andrew.
She said: “I finally learned that you can not go by clothes on the hanger.
“And now in the last year or two when I’ve worked with Andrew, he’ll bring clothes and he’ll say, ‘Do you want to try this on?’ And I’ll say, ‘Yes!’ because you don’t know [how it would look] without trying it on.”

Jason Sudeikis supported sister with Golden Globes outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Sudeikis wanted to support his sister with his Golden Globes outfit.
The 45-year-old actor caused a stir with his casual, tie-dye hoodie when he accepted the Best Actor in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy award for his role in ‘Ted Lasso’ at Sunday’s (28.02.21) virtual ceremony, and he’s now explained that the pastel-coloured garment – which featured the words “Forward Space” – came from his sister’s Kristin’s dance studio and workout space in New York City.
He told reporters after the ceremony: “I believe, when people that you care about do cool, interesting things that you should support them. So, this is no different than that.
“I believe in the product as much as the message. I have a multitude of hoodies, I could have worn for a multitude of things I believe in and support. You know, this one seemed the most appropriate.”
But Jason insisted his sartorial choice had nothing to do with promotion and was simply “family pride”.
He added: “I don’t know if you have siblings, but when they do something that you believe in, you encourage them to do it and you don’t refer to it as product placement.”
However, he acknowledged product placement features in ‘Ted Lasso’.
He said: “We do use a lot of Apple products in our show. And maybe that’s what you’re confusing.”
The actor also insisted he wasn’t setting a trend with his casual attire for the high-profile event.
He joked: “You gotta look back at Audrey Hepburn for ‘Funny Face.’ She also wore a hoodie.”
During his rambling acceptance speech, fellow nominee Don Cheadle gestured to the star to start wrapping up his remarks, but Jason insisted he wasn’t offended.
He said: “That’s just Kansas City love. He knew I’d listen to him. A lot of people don’t know he’s an excellent stage manager as well as an American acting icon.”

Nicole Kidman’s Golden Globes dress took 425 hours to embroider

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman’s Golden Globes dress took 425 hours to embroider.
The 53-year-old actress may not have attended this year’s event – where she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress In A Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television for ‘The Undoing’ but lost out to ‘The Queen’s Gambit’s Anya Taylor-Joy – in person but she still wanted to look her best on the video link, so her stylist Julia von Boehm worked with Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière to come up with a “timeless” gown which was more subtle than usual red carpet wear.
The black halter-neck apron dress was embellished with a metallic braid pattern and decorated with 8,000 beads and crystals in different sizes, which took 425 hours to stitch on.
Julia told The Hollywood Reporter: “Obviously, it is a difficult time right now ,and I think it’s super important to support the designers throughout this pandemic. We have to keep working together — as a business, we are connected. I was thinking about who is in our ‘family’ in the fashion world, the people I know will have everything perfectly done, despite the pandemic. Nicolas and Nicole have always had strong ties. He is a friend of hers, and we have worked together in the past. So Louis Vuitton was my go-to. The history, tradition and authenticity felt reassuring.
“I also think that people want to see a little bit of glam, somewhere at least! I think it’s nice that everybody is getting dressed up at this point, even though they are at home.
“Everything is so real all the time that people want that. They need that — to see something beautiful.
“I like the sophisticated, timeless style of the gown; and yes, of course, there’s a little bit of glitz. But it’s not as loud as I would maybe do in normal circumstances.
“Minimal, ‘90s-[inspired] fashion in general is a vision I have — rather than a green Gucci dress with hearts on the shoulders. For me, that’s going a little too far.”
Nicole teamed the dress with jewellery from her own collection, including Cathy Waterman sword drop earrings which were made from recycled gold and ethically-sourced diamonds.
Julia said: “I always like to mix in a little of Nicole’s own jewellery, as that feels more real during these times.”
Nicole admitted it was nice to have a reason to dress up.
She shared a photo of herself in her gown on Instagram and wrote: “Celebrating #TheUndoing at the #GoldenGlobes tonight! Thank you @LouisVuitton & @NicolasGhesquiere for bringing a little glamour back in my life. Haven’t done this in a long time (sic)”

Jane Fonda is ‘so happy’ with grey hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Fonda is “so happy” she let her hair go grey.
The 83-year-old actress debuted a grey pixie haircut at the Academy Awards in 2020 and she is over the moon to have embraced her natural look.
Appearing on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she said; “I tell you, I’m so happy I let it go grey. Enough already with so much time wasted, so much money spent, so many chemicals – I’m through with that.”
The Hollywood star made the claim after she vowed to never buy an item of clothing again in a bid to stop climate change and has since reworn her old gowns to major events.
She donned a crimson beaded Elie Saab gown to the 2020 Oscars that she had previously worn to Cannes Film Festival in 2014 and she is “all set” for her outfit for this year’s Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday (28.02.21).
While pointing to her red jogging suit, she said: “Well, I prefer this kind of outfit than getting dressed up.
“I vowed a couple of years ago I would never buy any new clothes again. We spend too much money, we buy too many things, and then we get rid of them. We try to develop our identity by shopping, right? We gotta stop that. Stop all this consumerism.
“So I had to go through my closet and find out something that still fit me and I have worn before, and I found something. I’m all set.”
Jane is set to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes after being recognised for illustrious career.
Ali Sar, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, recently said: “For more than five decades, Jane’s breadth of work has been anchored in her unrelenting activism, using her platform to address some of the most important social issues of our time.
“Her undeniable talent has gained her the highest level of recognition, and while her professional life has taken many turns, her unwavering commitment to evoking change has remained.
“We are honoured to celebrate her achievements at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.”
