Dua Lipa wanted to ‘challenge herself’ with multiple outfit changes at the Grammys

OHMYGOSSIP — Dua Lipa wanted to “challenge herself” with her various outfit changes at the Grammys.
The ‘We’re Good’ singer kicked off her set at Sunday night’s (14.03.21) ceremony in a hot pink ball gown to sing ‘Levitating’, before changing to a purple glitter suit jacket when DaBaby joined her for his verse, and she then stripped that off to reveal a pink sparkling bikini ready to sing ‘Don’t Start Now’, for which she was joined by a troupe of dancers, who donned metallic masks featuring bright pink lips.
And the 25-year-old star admitted she intended to have multiple outfits and intense choreography in order to push herself outside of her comfort zone.
Speaking to reporters backstage at the ceremony, she said: “There’s always gonna be a little bit of pressure when you’re performing at the Grammys for sure, so I was a little bit nervous, but I was very excited.
She added: “You know we did so much rehearsals and preparation for it and you know I just wanted to do something fun, something I’ve never done before, I wanted to challenge myself a little bit, whether it was from the outfit changes to the choreography to you creating a little bit of drama in a performance that I felt grew as the performance went on.”
The ‘IDGAF’ singer also walked the red carpet in a high-shine chain metal rainbow-coloured Versace gown with a butterfly motif and was “thrilled” with the creation.
She said at the event: “This dress was made for me by Versace. “I love it. I feel like a princess in it so yeah I’m thrilled.”
Dua sported butterflies on everything from her t-shirts to her nails over the last year, so she was thrilled that the cut-out gown also incorporated the motif.
She told ‘E! Live From the Red Carpet’ host Giuliana Rancic: “There was a lot of symbolism for me this year with butterflies and it’s also very symbolic for Versace and Donatella too.”
Dua was honoured with the Best Pop Vocal Album award for her record ‘Future Nostalgia’.

Kim Kardashian West reveals Martha Stewart is a big fan of Skims

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West says it was “such a proud moment” when Martha Stewart told her she loves her shapewear line, Skims.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star and businesswoman founded the brand in 2019, and has revealed some of the celebrity Skims fans
Kim, 40, recalled how the 79-year-old television personality and fellow businesswoman once told her at a party: ‘I just need Skims; I love it.’
She continued: “I was just like, ‘Anything for you.’ It was such a proud moment.”
Actress Kathy Bates, 72, is also a fan and Kim would love to get the ‘Richard Jewell’ star in one of her campaigns.
Should she end up shooting for Skims, Kathy would follow in the footsteps of the likes of Kim’s daughter, North West, seven, and famous faces such as Paris Hilton, Rumer Willis and La La Anthony in promoting the brand.
Kim – who also has Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, 22 months, with estranged husband Kanye West – also explained why she decided to launch her own shapewear line.
During an appearance on Vogue magazine’s ‘Good Morning Vogue’, she added: “I always try to see what I’m obsessed with and what’s a necessity in my life. And if it’s not perfect, how can I try to make something that is?”

Paris Hilton stars in Lanvin’s spring campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Hilton is the new face of Lanvin.
The 40-year-old DJ and Hilton hotels heiress is the star of the French fashion house’s spring 2021 campaign.
She said in a statement: “I’m humbled to be working with Lanvin for their Spring/Summer campaign and to be able to contribute to the brand’s legacy. “I’ve always been a fan of the house and personally admire the founder Jeanne Lanvin. She was able to build an empire from one small shop that still exists 130 years later. Her entrepreneurial spirit is so incredible — remind you of anyone else?”
Paris transformed into a modern-day version of a 1950s socialite, known for their draped dresses, ballerina pumps and jewelled sunglasses for the campaign.
The brand’s creative director, Bruno Sialelli  explained how he wanted to switch up Paris’ “glimmery style” to hone in on her natural beauty.
He said: “She is quite known for her long blonde hair and glimmery style and we wanted to shed light on her ability to transform — much like a swan. “As the originator of the influencer movement and the idea of ‘famous for being famous,’ I wanted to show the world how far she has come in the industry that she created. We stripped back the styling and allowed her natural beauty to be captured.”
Meanwhile, Paris recently revealed some of the bizarre deals she’s been offered over the years, including her own line of “Paris beans”.
The businesswoman has made a successful career out of a variety of ventures including beauty products, perfume, and music, but Paris has also been pitched some odd ideas over the years.
She said: “There’s a big list of them. But one – they asked me if I wanted to do my own line of Paris beans. Which I was l like, ‘I don’t know, beans really don’t go with my product line. Like I’m not into doing food.
‘“And they showed me this mock-up and it was like this pink can with my picture on it holding beans. It was Paris Hilton’s beans.”
The ‘This Is Paris’ star also confessed getting her own bean line was one of the more tame suggestions, as she’s even been approached about creating a range of “Paris Hilton sex dolls”.
She added: “Another one I got was just really creepy. This company wanted to make Paris Hilton sex dolls which were like – looked exactly like me. And I was like, ‘You know, this is the last thing I’m going to want to do.
“So that was definitely no. I can’t even believe they came with me with that request. Pretty scary.”

Gwyneth Paltrow calls for end to stigma around cosmetic procedures

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwyneth Paltrow says women should be able to share what cosmetic procedures they’ve had with no shame attached.
The 48-year-old Goop co-founder – who is a spokeswoman for anti-wrinkle injection Xeomin – believes there is unnecessary “shame around surgery” in Hollywood and women feel they have something to prove.
She told Harper’s Bazaar: “A lot of successful women in Hollywood are motivated early on by not being good enough, and so we’re trying to prove something to ourselves. By getting injectables, it’s like admitting a vulnerability. I think sometimes honesty is perceived to be a weakness … there does seem to be a lot of stigma around injections.”
Gwyneth has been open about her own experiences and quipped that a “teeny drop” of Xeomin makes her “look less p***** off”.
While the ‘Iron Man’ star wants the stigma surrounding cosmetic surgery and injectables to stop, she says it’s also perfectly fine for people to have a “beauty secret”, too.
She continued: “I think it’s nice when women share, because there’s a lot of shame around surgery or injectables or fillers, and it would be nice if people felt confident about the choices they were making.
“But if they want to have a beauty secret, that’s okay, too. I’m an open book – I’ve shared what works for me, because that’s how I’ve always learned.”

Harry Styles’ ‘eccentric’ Grammy Awards look

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Styles wanted to look “British and eccentric” at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (14.03.21).
The 27-year-old singer donned two Gucci looks for the event, a green and yellow checked tweed jacket and tartan sweater teamed with a lilac feather boa for the red carpet and ceremony, and a black leather cropped jacked and matching trousers, with a mint green feather boa and no shirt for his show-opening performance of ‘Watermelon Sugar’.
His stylist, Harry Lambert, explained the former One Direction singer wanted to honour the tradition of English invidualism.
He told Vogue.com: “This is Harry’s first Grammys, and so we wanted to do something that felt British and eccentric.
“A little bit rock ‘n’ roll and a little bit camp. I hope we did this with the mix of the tweed and the boa, [which is] Britishness, rock’n’roll, and camp all rolled into one.”
And although the two outfits “felt polar opposites”, there was deliberate similarities between them.
Lambert said: ” “It was also important to us all that the silhouette for the stage was the same as the red carpet but that the actual looks felt polar opposites.
“One being patterned and vibrant and the other being more slick and sexy.”
The ‘Adore You’ singer has donned retro, colourful outfits throughout his ‘Fine Line’ album campaign, so deliberately opted for a “darker” look on stage to signify the end of an era.
His stylist explained: “I think people could assume that, as he is performing his single ‘Watermelon Sugar,’ his look will reflect the music video.
“We wanted to twist that on its head and go for something darker, sexier, and more unexpected.
“I don’t feel that anyone has seen Harry dress like this before, so the Grammys felt the perfect moment to do this.
“[It is] a sort of full stop after the promotion of the ‘Fine Line’ album campaign. For stage, it’s sexy, minimal, a bit eccentric but still fun.”

The 26-year-old star – who won Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for ‘Savage’, as well as Best New Artist on Sunday (14.03.21) wore a custom tangerine Dolce & Gabbana gown and shoes to the event, and her favourite part of the outfit was the oversized bow in the back.
She told her team: “I feel like a gift”.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker’s team sought inspiration from “Old Black Hollywood glamour” for Megan’s look and couldn’t have been happier with her gown, which also featured a thigh-high slit.
Her stylist, Eric Archibald, told The Hollywood Reporter: The dress: “We were blessed with a few options, but when we put on the Dolce & Gabbana dress, we knew we had found our perfect red-carpet look.
“Our inspiration was Old Black Hollywood glamour, and the dress fit that inspiration perfectly, and the color is outstanding. The dress was the perfect look for Megan’s first Grammy Awards.”
And the theme extended to her hair, with Kellon Deryk explaining they “decided to do a romantic, whimsical updo that embodies Old Hollywood glamour.”
The hairstylist added: “It came together after seeing the dress and understanding that framing her face in a classic updo would be the best way to compliment the whole look.”
For her make-up, Priscilla Ono opted for a “bronzy and fresh look”.
She said: “[We wanted to] keep it beautiful, since the dress color was so vibrant. We decided to go more neutral, [and] golds and bronzes look great on her skin.”
Megan accessoried her look with over 220 carats of diamonds by Chopard, including a necklace from their Red Carpet Collection, which boasted almost 92 carats of diamonds set in white gold.
Dolce & Gabanna also designed the nude-illusion crystal-embellished bodysuit and feather cape Megan wore to perform ‘Body’ and ‘Savage’, as well as the caged, corseted bodysuit encrusted with Swaorovski crystals which made up her final stage look.
To perform ‘WAP’ with Cardi B, Megan donned a custom L.A. ROXX mirror robot bodysuit and corset.

She told People magazine: “This dress was made for me by Versace.

“‘Future Nostalgia’ means the absolute world to me and it has changed my life in so many ways.
“But one thing that I have really come to realise is how much happiness is so important. I felt really dated at the end of my last album where I felt like I only had to make sad music to feel like it mattered.
” And I’m just so grateful and so honoured because happiness is something we all deserve and need in our lives.”

Rihanna has trademarked Fenty Hair

OHMYGOSSIP — Rihanna could be set to launch a new haircare line.
The 33-year-old singer reportedly filed a trademark application for Fenty Hair under her company, Roraj Trade LLC, last week.
According to the legal documents, the potential line would cover product categories such as haircare preparation, hair colour, hair styling, straightening or relaxing, and dandruff shampoo, DailyMail.com reports.
Despite filing the legal documents, Rihanna has yet to comment on her new business ambitions.
The ‘Work’ hitmaker previously put her luxury clothing line, Fenty – which she launched in 2019 with LVMH – on hold so she could focus on Fenty Beauty cosmetics and Savage x Fenty lingerie lines.
LVMH previously said: “Rihanna and LVMH have jointly made the decision to put on hold the RTW activity, based in Europe, pending better conditions. Following the completion of a fundraising round where L Catterton has taken a stake into Savage X Fenty, LVMH and Rihanna reaffirm their ambition to concentrate on the growth and the long-term development of [the] Fenty ecosystem focusing on cosmetics, skincare and lingerie.”
The Fenty clothing arm was tailored to the high-end market, whereas Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty is more affordable.
The last collection was in November and saw Rihanna team up with popular designer Amina Muaddi on a range of heels.
Upon the launch of the clothing line, the pop star said: “I’m not the face of my brand, but I am the muse, and my DNA has to run all the way through it. I don’t want anyone to pull up my website and think, Rihanna would never wear that.”
Rihanna also released her Fenty Skin products in stores in December after launching the brand in July.
The chart-topping star hopes her line will end the stigma that men are “not allowed” to care for their skin.
She said: “Men love their skin, and they take care of it, but they feel obligated almost to only use products that are for men because anything beyond that feels too feminine, it’s not for them, they’re not allowed, they don’t have permission.”

Nikki and Brie Bella lost their eyelashes while breastfeeding

OHMYGOSSIP — Nikki and Brie Bella lost their eyelashes while breastfeeding.
The ‘Total Bellas’ twins both gave birth last year and experienced a “bizarre” moment during their postpartum journey, when they both lost hair in the same spots and witnessed their eyelashes falling out.
Speaking to People, Brie – who has seven-month-old Buddy and three-year-old Birdie with husband Daniel Bryan – said: “I did warn Nicole, I’m like, ‘When you breastfeed, for some reason, you lose a lot of hair, especially on the sides.’ I go, ‘Your hair grows fast, but you also lose it in these two spots.'”
Nikki – who has eight-month-old Matteo with fiance Artem Chigvintsev – added: “And the eyelashes.”
Brie, 37, first realised her eyelashes began falling out when she welcomed her daughter in 2017 but they soon began to grow again when she stopped breastfeeding.
She continued: “It happened to me with Birdie and then literally the day I stopped breastfeeding, it just stopped. It’s bizarre. And it happened in the exact same spot to Nicole.”
After hearing her sister’s experience, Nikki was able to prepare for her postpartum journey by following a prenatal routine which she continued after welcoming her son.
And though she’s noticed her hair has become thicker, Nikki hasn’t been able to prevent her eyelashes from falling out.
She explained: “I still do a prenatal every day and someone told me, ‘Stick with your prenatal every day while breastfeeding.’ So I’m really good with that.
“I feel like my hair’s just thick, but then it does have those spots around that just are kind of missing, and then my eyelashes are gone. I look at Matteo’s eyelashes and I’m like, ‘You took mommy’s eyelashes.'”

Yara Shahidi: We’ve begun to crack the surface of inclusivity

OHMYGOSSIP — Yara Shahidi thinks there’s still “so much work” to do to make the entertainment industry more inclusive.
The 21-year-old star – who signed with New York’s Women Management modelling agency in 2016 – believes that although progress has been made in making the industry more inclusive, there’s still lots that needs to be done.
She said: “While we have begun to crack the surface of inclusivity, there is still so much work to be done. I hope that in the next 20 years we accept the task of totally re-imagining the system to be more equitable.
“We should imagine, ‘how do we enfranchise creators of many intersections to feel like they have ownership over their projects and figure out ways to ensure that sense of ownership?’
“I’m particularly excited for more global conversations on womanhood, and that gets rid of the narrative of connecting in spite of our differences, but because of our differences.”
Yara – who stars in the sitcom ‘Black-ish’ – has also rubbished the suggestion that her campaigning is motivated by selfishness.
She told Glamour magazine: “There have been times in which I’ve had to explain that advocating for these things does not come from a selfishness, but from a level of commitment.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to have people around me who are willing to listen and understand that when they hear myself or my business partner/mother talk about doubling down on the details of how something is done, it is not out of a desire to be in control of things, which I think is something that is often put on black women.
“The only reason it seems like you’re hearing our mouths a lot is because no one else has shared this commitment to equity enough to bring it up before we have to.”

Kerry Washington feels ‘beautiful and strong’ when she has her nails done

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington feels “beautiful and strong” when she has her nails done.
The ‘Scandal’ star has learned from her mother how important it is to do small things to make yourself feel strong and for her mother, nail care was important as it was something that “she did for herself”.
Asked where her love for nailcare came from, she said: “I grew up in the Bronx. My mom is a retired professor of education. She didn’t have expendable income to have extensive spa days whenever she wanted. But she got her nails done once a week, and it was part of how she felt beautiful and strong as a professional working woman in the world. It was something that she did for herself.”
And the 44-year-old actress is a brand ambassador for nailcare brand OPI and when it comes to her own self-care, she thinks moisturising is “everything”, especially during the coronavirus pandemic.
She added to People magazine: “I’m really playing so much in this 40th anniversary collection. I’m partial to We the Female, and I really love Bubble Bath. It’s so feminine, so soft. It’s just a classic, an absolute classic. And I really love Nail Envy, because it’s a strengthener. It’s just an absolute go-to for me when it comes to care, no matter what I’m doing, whether it’s my own nails, press-ons, or extensions, along with the Nail & Cuticle Oil for the extra nourishment. Moisturisation is everything. Particularly now when we’re all washing our hands a hundred times a day, and using sanitizer with alcohol in between.”

Melissa McCarthy ‘flipped off’ for wearing tracksuit to an Oscars party

OHMYGOSSIP — Melissa McCarthy was “flipped off” for wearing a tracksuit to an Oscars party.
The ‘Can You Ever Forgive Me?’ star donned the infamous outfit for the Vanity Fair Oscars Party – matching with her husband Ben Falcone – in 2019 and she admits it “threw everyone into a tizzy” when she arrived at the party in the unusual ensemble.
Recalling her decision to wear the casual outfit, she said: “I’m sure it threw everybody into a tizzy because the idea came to me the day before the Oscars … I asked, ‘Can we wear matching tracksuits?’ And someone was like, ‘For tomorrow? Like, that both fit?’ It’s not that easy. I just wanted to be in tennies and tracksuits. It just seemed so funny to me and so comfortable.”
And the 50-year-old actress was glad she wore the comfy outfit and she enjoyed spending the night “dancing pretty hard” without the dress and heels on.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, she added: “I have never been flipped off or told to f*** off as much as at that party, and it was all done, uh, jokingly, but also with something real behind it. [After the ceremony] everyone put on a different dress and different heels. They just totally were like, ‘You go f*** yourself [for wearing a tracksuit].’ My response was, ‘Oh, OK, I’m going to go dance pretty hard right now.'”
Meanwhile, Melissa previously revealed she has stopped worrying about her weight.
Speaking in 2015, she said: “I feel amazing. I finally said, ‘Oh for God’s sake stop worrying about it,’ and it may be the best thing I’ve ever done. I truly stopped worrying about it. I stopped over-analysing, over-thinking, over-doing anything. I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could’ve figured that out before 44, but whatever.”

Camila Mendes’ high school beauty staples

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Mendes has the same staple beauty products from high school.
The 26-year-old actress has stuck to the same signature fragrance since her school days after spotting a friend in her class wearing Marc Jacobs’ Daisy for Women scent.
She told Cosmopolitan magazine: “One of the girls in high school had this on her vanity and she always smelled so good. It was a thing all the cool girls had. Still my signature now, it’s what I use in the daytime. Maybe I should evolve and grow up, but I’ve apparently chosen not to.”
Camila also continues to use the same Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer she first picked up in her junior year of high school to keep her eyeshadow from creasing.
She added: “Something that’s always been in my life and my makeup bag, since I was literally in junior high, is this … I can’t stand it when my shadow creases. So when I learned about eyeshadow primer, it was like a new obsession.”
However, there are a few products the ‘Riverdale’ star has picked up since starring in the hit Netflix show, including the on-set staple serum that smooths her flyaways.
Speaking about Davines This Is An Invisible Serum, she said: “They use this on set of ‘Riverdale’ because I get a lot of flyaways. And when you’re being backlit, you can see everything. This is kind of a paste-serum. It’s a little thicker, and a little goes a long way, but it’s great for baby hairs and fried hairs that stick up. It’s my best-kept secret.”
Camila has also incorporated the Autocorrect Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream to her skin care routine as she found she needed a soothing product to help depuff her eyes after an emotional day of filming.
She continued: “When I wake up from shooting a big emotional scene the night before, I always wake up puffy. So having that little moment of massaging my under-eyes? I need that. This is a brightening and de-puffing cream, so it’s good for that.”

Hunter Schafer: Sleep is my secret to glowing skin

OHMYGOSSIP — Hunter Schafer says sleep is her secret to glowing skin.
The ‘Euphoria’ star is determined to get as “much sleep as possible” to ensure she has a glowing complexion but does have a helping hand from her favourite foundation for days when she has tossed and turned all night.
Asked what her beauty secret is, she told Vogue magazine: “Sleep! Get as much sleep as possible, and if that doesn’t work, put some foundation on. The Shiseido Synchro Radiant Lifting Foundation has helped me look glowy on days when I have had less than the necessary minimum of four hours. Thankfully, most of the time I have a lovely make-up artist [to apply it] who is much better at it than me, but when I don’t I usually just use my fingers and pat it across my face in a light layer. It’s pretty easy and so lightweight that it’s hard to not know what you’re doing.”
And to ensure she gets a good night’s sleep, Hunter has to force herself to turn off her TV before she goes to bed as she needs the silence.
She added: “I turn off the TV because I realise if I keep the anime [cartoon] I’m watching on, I’m never actually going to fall asleep! I have to resign myself to the silence.”
The 22-year-old model doesn’t have a regular skincare routine as her days always differ but is adamant on using a moisturiser everyday.
She explained: “I guess it depends on the day I’m going to have, but these days before work I usually just hop in the shower. I haven’t been wearing much make-up to work but on days when I’m feeling a little bit fancier, I do. I always put moisturiser on, that’s an everyday thing.
“I don’t have a very complex routine. It’s mostly a shower at the end of the day, and then put moisturiser on. The last skincare product I finished was the Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. You put it on before make-up and it helps everything do a better job of what it’s supposed to do.”
