Michael Kors to introduce fall collection film and mark 40th anniversary at Times Square

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Kors is celebrating Broadway and his 40th anniversary at Times Square.
The 61-year-old fashion designer will introduce his fall collection film in New York on Tuesday (20.04.21) morning at a pre-show, with special guests from the world of theatre, including Billy Porter and Chita Rivera.
The film stars supermodels Bella Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Precious Lee, Irina Shayk, and many more.
A lifelong fan of Broadway, Kors wanted to channel the “opening-night feeling”, and has opened up about missing going to the theatre amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He told WWD: “The heartbeat of New York is the Theatre District, and to see it just stopped was hard to comprehend because New York doesn’t stop.
“It’s about that opening-night feeling … I want everyone to have this fabulous night out where you have an amazing dinner and drinks at Sardi’s, with theatre history oozing out of the walls, then you hit the street, strut your stuff and show off. And you get to go into a temple of live performance and see Rufus Wainwright performing.”
On the industry re-opening again and shooting the film, the designer explained: “It was overwhelming — being in the fashion community again, with people we have collaborated with forever, hair, make-up…models, it felt like this surreal party … And being in Times Square at midnight, and seeing the energy return — and that’s without theatre and restaurants — it really shows you peoples’ pent-up desire.
“Last January when it was bitter cold, we went to dinner outside … I had mukluks on, it was insane. I ran into someone in the industry I haven’t seen in over a year, and she said, ‘Aren’t you itching to go to a bad dinner?’”
The fashion house and designer is also donating to The Actors Fund, a non-profit organisation that helps those working in film, theatre, television, music, and more with emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, health care, and much more.
He added: “It was important to support people behind the scenes, because they don’t have an exact date back … So many people have had to leave town, to move home. We’ve seen that all around the world in every large city. Hopefully we can keep the talent because I think we will have a resurgence of young people wanting to bring back theatre and art and music and fashion.”

“It’s really inspiring to see how people are taking their identity and their beauty into their own hands. However, people are struggling with their self-image and self-confidence more than ever. “I didn’t like it when people condemned me for it and kind of rubbed me the wrong way when I was praised. Like ‘you’re so brave!’

The 32-year-old musician also declared she was “sick of being an activist because [she’s] fat and black”.

Machine Gun Kelly to release unisex nail polish line

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly is set to release a unisex line of nail polish.
The ‘my ex’s best friend’ rocker has announced his first foray into the beauty industry with his UN/DN collection for Unlisted Brand Lab.
The firm’s founder and CEO Candy Harris said: “We’re honoured to be working with MGK on this rare opportunity to build a brand that will progress a category to embody a cultural shift that has been a long time coming.”
Details about the shades and pricing are being kept under wraps for the time being, however, the polishes will launch this autumn.
This week, the 30-year-old music star – who is dating Megan Fox – took to Instagram to show off his bold acrylic nail extensions.
MGK – who is known for his punk rock style – opted for a smiley face, black claws and pink nails.
Meanwhile, the rapper recently vowed to “break the mould” with his new music.
The ‘Bloody Valentine’ hitmaker is keen to keep reinventing himself every time he releases new tracks and he wants to be so “polarising” that people feel like they have to listen to his music.
Asked what intention he has for his music career in the future, he shared: “Break the mould of everything I just did … and piss people off all over again. Even when I say, ‘Break the mould and piss people off all over again’, I just mean make them think again; make them have a moment of like, ‘This artist is so polarising that I have to tune in’.
“Because I don’t want to be bored with an artist, and I think Kanye West’s a great example of that. We all have moments of sitting at dinner tables talking about Kanye and being like, ‘I didn’t like this!’ or, ‘I loved this!’ or, ‘Why is he doing that?!’ But I’ll tell you what, man. We’re still talking about him and we know that there’s greatness in there behind it.”
And MGK – whose real name is Colson Baker –  wants to emulate the success of the likes of Kanye West and Prince.
On eventually having a legendary status within music, he added: “It’s not gonna be easy, and I’m aware of that. I’m happy to keep breaking the mould.”

Kate Moss ‘can’t wait’ to dress up again

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss “can’t wait” to get dressed up again.
The 47-year-old supermodel is so excited to be able to put on her favourite outfits again and go for dinner now the UK is starting to open up again amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to British Vogue magazine about what she’s excited for after the lockdown, she said: “I just can’t wait to get dressed up again. I am excited to put on a great dress and go out for dinner.”
Meanwhile, Kate previously opened up about her career, admitting she never “had a plan” for her early career.
She said: “I didn’t have a plan. I was always one of those young people who was just happy to be exposed to new things and experiences – there wasn’t a plan or a route that I wanted to go down. But it soon got to the point where I just couldn’t fit all my engagements into the week. At that point I knew I had to get serious and be a bit fussier, but until then it was really just a case of taking the offers and seeing where they went.:
As a child, Kate dreamed of travelling the world but never imagined her career would take her around the globe.
She added: “My dad was in the travel industry and would always talk about how brilliant it was to see the world. Travel was a real ambition of mine when I was a kid. It quickly became my focus over school. Of course, I never dreamed that I’d be able to fulfil that through modelling, so when the opportunity came it was something I jumped at.”
And though Kate misses the “innocence” of her childhood, she doesn’t long for her hometown of Croydon.
She added: “As far as growing up in Croydon went, it wasn’t a time I look back on longingly, certainly not so much as the place itself. I was keen to get away. Myself and my friends would drift around Croydon on a Saturday afternoon looking for inspiration. Surrey Street Market was a popular hangout – a rough and ready part of the town centre bordered by record shops and stalls. There is definitely a part of me that misses the innocence of it all, but not the place.”

Demi Lovato feels most beautiful make-up free

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato thinks she looks most beautiful with a “bare face”.
The ‘Confident’ hitmaker believes she looks the best when she has no make-up on and when she is wearing “sweatpants” and hanging with her friends, as she feels the most “like herself”.
Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said: “I think I feel the most beautiful when I have a bare face, even in my sweatpants, just hanging out with my friends. I don’t know, that’s when I feel the most like myself. Clean and comfy.”
Meanwhile, Demi previously insisted she refuses to live her life “according to diet culture”.
She shared: “Accidentally lost weight. I don’t count calories anymore. I don’t exercise anymore. I don’t restrict or purge … And I especially … don’t live my life according to the diet culture …
“I’ve actually lost weight … This is a different experience but I feel full. Not of food but of divine wisdom and cosmic guidance. Full of peace, serenity, joy and love today (sic)”
Demi is still living with the lasting effects of her overdose, which she says left her with “brain damage”.
She explained: “I was left with brain damage, and I still deal with the effects of that today. I don’t drive a car, because I have blind spots on my vision. And I also for a long time had a really hard time reading. It was a big deal when I was able to read out of a book, which was like two months later because my vision was so blurry. I dealt with a lot of the repercussions and I feel like they are still there to remind me of what could happen if I ever get into a dark place again. I’m grateful for those reminders, but I’m so grateful that I was someone that didn’t have to do a lot of rehabbing. The rehabbing came on the emotional side.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloë Sevigny, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Julianne Moore and Indya Moore star in Jim Jarmusch’s Saint Laurent short, ‘French Water’.
The fashion film showcases the French fashion house’s Women’s Summer 2021 collection.
The nine-minute clip sees ‘Big Lebowski’ star Julianne and filmmaker-and-model Chloë look for English-French actress Charlotte at an empty venue at the end of a dinner party.
The guests – who go through multiple outfit changes – are served water by a waiter played by actor-and-model Leon Reilly – the son of screen legend John C. Reilly.
Saint Laurent CEO Anthony Vaccarello also served as art director for the film.
A description read: “The dinner party is over.
“A lone waiter is watching guests search for Charlotte.
“The echoes of their whispers multiply. Anthony Vaccarello chose Jim Jarmusch to orchestrate a dreamy, surreal ballet, following his own rules.
“Mysterious, elusive Charlotte keeps disappearing and reappearing. Tangled until creating a form of vertigo, space and time spin beautifully. Into eternity.”
The latest short from Saint Laurent follows December’s short promo by Argentine filmmaker Gaspar Noé.Charlotte Rampling starred as a “mysterious and haunted priestess in the ‘Summer of ’21’ film.
The 75-year-old actress appeared alongside a number of high fashion models.

They then gathered in a theatre-like setting in front of a stage before a haunted Charlotte appeared before their eyes in a bed of rose petals.
A press release at the time stated: “A familiar and timeless feeling. Dreaminess and tension, decadence and danger. The unsettling strangeness of those girls gravitating around Charlotte Rampling, the mysterious and haunted priestess.”
It followed Gaspar’s first short film for Saint Laurent ‘Lux Aeterna’ which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.

Terry Crews reveals the secrets behind his ageless complexion

OHMYGOSSIP — Terry Crews says he looks better than he did when he was 25 because of his skincare routine.
The actor-and-bodybuilder – who turns 53 in July – has explained that his ageless complexion is down to slathering himself in a $10 body oil and looking after his skin after wearing make-up for TV to prevent breakouts.
He also uses the Alba Botanica Hawaiian Body Oil on the rest of his body, to prevent stretch marks from lifting hefty weights.
Terry said of his routine: “I use a lot of Kiehl’s products to exfoliate.
“I’m on TV, so I have to! I also use the Clarisonic. Whether I’m wearing make-up for ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ or ‘America’s Got Talent,’ I need to have my face totally cleaned [afterward] because a lot of guys just leave that stuff on, and you break out like crazy. I make sure I really scrub.”
He continued: “You know when you’re lifting weights and stuff like that, your muscles are growing and your skin is pulling.
“People always say, ‘Terry Crews is oiled up.’ That body oil, it keeps your skin really, really nice. I’ll be 53 this year, but I look better than I did when I was 25 and I’m very, very thankful.”
Elsewhere, the former footballer revealed he and his wife, Rebecca King, do fasting 16 hours per day, and unlike many, he has lost weight in quarantine.
He told Page Six Style: “I do intermittent fasting and [my wife] Rebecca does it too.
“I eat emotionally, and when times get rough I feel like, oh man, that donut looks so good…
“So I have an eight-hour period to eat, and the rest is 16 hours of fasting.
“I actually ended up losing weight over the pandemic instead of gaining.”

The 59-year-old actor has just confirmed he will be reprising his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) well-dresssed love interest Aidan Shaw in the upcoming reboot, ‘And Just Like That…’.
And he’s revealed he held onto his alter ego’s entire wardrobe and still wears his $700 Prada shoes.
He said even “down to the Calvin Klein tighty whities whenever I was in a bathroom scene with Carrie [Bradshaw].”
John also has the “white shirt from the episode where Aidan says ‘You broke my heart!,’ after Carrie tells him she wants to get back together.”
He told Glamour: “I got everything, and this was expensive stuff! The shoes that I wore were Prada and $700 and I still wear those.”
Sarah Jessica, 56, previously revealed that she still has “probably 95 per cent” of Carrie’s designer clobber.
She said: “I have it all. I don’t touch it or wear it but all of that is really meaningful.”
The ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ star has claimed he’ll appear in “a few” episodes of the hotly-awaited HBO Max limited series ‘And Just Like That…’.
He told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “I’m going to do the show.
“I think I might be in quite a few.
“I like all those people, they’ve been very nice to me.”
Also confirmed to return for the reboot are Carrie’s girlfriends, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis).

And Miranda’s partner Steve Brady is not expected to appear, though David Eigenberg hasn’t ruled out a return.
He said: “It’s a strange thing, but we’ll see … if it can work out, we may be going down that road.”

Sophie Turner stars in Louis Vuitton watch campaign

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner has starred in Louis Vuitton’s new watch campaign.
The 25-year-old actress has teamed up with the French fashion house to star in their Tambour Street Diver campaign from the house’s designer Nicolas Ghesquière.
She told Vogue: “The way that I dress is always aligned with the way Nicolas designs.”
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star first became infatuated with chunky watches when her husband Joe Jonas and has since collected six styles with the label’s new watch, which is unisex and water resistant, being one of her favourite timeless pieces.
She explained: “My husband is into watches, so he leads the way and tells me which watches are cool and which ones aren’t. It’s big and it’s chunky, which I like. I’ve always liked more masculine watches.”
What’s more, Sophie – who has nine-month-old daughter Willa with Jonas – is excited to dress up after spending the coronavirus lockdown wearing “baggy clothes” but is adamant she’ll wear stylish outfits as she wants to be a “cool mum”.
She added: “I’m excited about embracing fashion again; I’ve been dressing up for myself. It’s actually really annoying though, because just as I’ve had a baby, everyone all of a sudden wants to wear low-rise jeans. It’s kind of offensive!
“Because I’m a mom, I’m desperate to be cool now. So I’m trying to go with baggy tops and baggy jeans. I’m definitely excited to be putting my heels on, and doing my hair and makeup.”
However, she has been envious of her husband as he has made an effort to dress up during the pandemic.
She said: “He surprisingly puts in a little bit more effort than me. He’s always embraced high fashion and dressing up. I thought it was psychotic how he would wear jeans during the pandemic, while we were just sitting at home. I was like, What kind of serial killer does that?”

Shania Twain rewears Man! I Feel Like a Woman! outfit

OHMYGOSSIP — Shania Twain has re-visited her iconic ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ outfit.
The 55-year-old singer donned a black bustier mini dress, white jacket, thigh-high velvet boots and a black top hat for the original music video in 1999 and has now whipped out the ensemble for a TikTok video.
The video begins with a clip from the classic promo, showing off the outfit before cutting to a modern-day Shania wearing an identical outfit.
She had swapped a few details from the original outfit by adding some fishnet tights, bright red lipstick and a silk choker with teardrop gems.
Shania captioned the video: “Same outfit, 20 years apart! #letsgogirls (sic)”
A number of fans praised the country singer in the comments, with one writing: “Amazing!!! To be able to fit into your original outfit. (sic)”
Another commented: “Aged like fine wine”
While a third added: “The best singer ever, love you”.
However, it’s not the first time Shania has brushed off the outfit as she gave fans a glimpse of the classic ensemble in 2017 during her ‘Life’s About to Get Good’ video, which featured Shania wearing the same look in her dressing room.
Meanwhile, the ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ hitmaker has slammed the world’s “sexist point of view”, as she admits she was criticised a lot in her career but she has insisted she has definitely “managed” to get her own way over the years.
She said: “You’re not really allowed to be too pretty or too sexy or too anything, expressively, as a woman. I think that’s a very sexist point of view … I managed to get my way. Making the album is one thing but after the album is released, the work keeps going on.”
And Shania admits men used to hate her because she was “too opinionated” and too “demanding”.
She added: “I would be hated by the men because I was too opinionated and too forceful and demanding, and I would be hated by the women because I was being sensually expressive. And I thought, I don’t believe that’ll be the case.”

Nicky Hilton Rothschild: Children should dress like children

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicky Hilton Rothschild is not a fan of children dressing in mini-me outfits.
The 37-year-old fashion designer, model and socialite has just launched her collection for childrenswear brand Dotty Dungarees, and “bribed” her daughters, Teddy, three, and Lily-Grace, four, to model the line.
Speaking in an interview to promote the clothing, the mother-of-two admitted “children should dress like children” and not in “hip, miniature adult outfits”.
She told People: “I love a pair of dungarees; it’s such a classic staple. And I think today, a lot of parents are dressing their children in these hip, miniature adult outfits, which I’m not really a fan of.
“I think children should dress like children.”
Nicky, who described her daughters as “very girly girls”, also revealed the items she won’t be dressing her kids in.
She said: “Leather jackets and leather pants. They’re just little kids! I don’t know.”
However, it seems like Nicky won’t have much choice on what her girls wear for much longer, as they have developed their own styles and love dressing up.
On their “special bond”, she added: “Both of my girls definitely love dressing up, and it started very young, at like two years old.
“They love costumes and they love dressing up as princesses. … Their bond is so sweet. A sisterhood bond is so special, and I love seeing that with my girls.”
Meanwhile, Nicky recently slammed the current bike shorts and crop top trend.
The Hilton hotels heiress branded the two-piece athleisure look – which the likes of Kim Kardashian West, Hailey Bieber and Gigi Hadid have been seen in – “not cute”.
She confessed: “I’m not into the whole bike shorts and crop tops thing – that’s not cute to me!”
Nicky has, however, loved seeing 90s and noughties pieces come back into fashion, such as bucket hats and Juicy Couture – the latter of which her sister Paris Hilton popularised in the early 2000s.
She said: “I find it really nostalgic and fun. I love Juicy Couture – it’s iconic! I love bucket hats being back and slip dresses. It brings me back to a different time.”

Kelsea Ballerini’s make-up artist spills details of her ACM Awards glam look

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelsea Ballerini’s glam at the ACM Awards was inspired by her custom Dolce & Gabbana gown.
The 27-year-old country pop singer’s make-up artist has spilled all the details about her look for the awards ceremony on Sunday (18.04.21), including how they knew right away that they wanted to match her eye make-up to her teal green dress.
Kelsey Deenihan told Us Weekly: “Since red carpets are few and far between these days, we really wanted to have some fun and as soon as we saw the colour of Kelsea’s gorgeous, custom Dolce & Gabbana gown, we knew we just had to incorporate the colour into her look.”
On how they created the look, she spilled: “Using a small crease brush, I blended the colour into the crease and slightly outward to follow her natural eye shape.
“I then lined the bottom lash line with Rustique, blended that out and added a couple generous coats of the NudeStix lash lengthening mascara.”
And to give Kelsea a natural glow and to ensure her make-up stayed put, the artist prepared the skin with The Murad Invisiblur Protecting Shield, which would have also helped with stopping the beauty products transferring onto her face mask.
She said: “Prepping your skin is important because it creates a base for the rest of the make-up. Using products that keep the skin hydrated without getting oily will prolong the life of your make-up.”
She added of the $65 product: “I use it as a primer — it’s not only the perfect prep for make-up, but also hugs the foundation.”
Another Murad product Kelsey used was the Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector.

Julia Roberts named Chopard’s Ambassadress

OHMYGOSSIP — Julia Roberts has been named an Ambassadress for Chopard.
The ‘Notting Hill’ star has become the face of the Swiss luxury jewellery and watch brand’s Happy Sport campaign, which sees the launch of two new timepieces.
Julia first rocked Chopard at Cannes International Film Festival in 2016.
Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s co-president, told WWD:  “She was wearing a beautiful Chopard necklace with emeralds — and she was very funny.
“She said to me, ‘With this necklace, I don’t need shoes for the red carpet,’ and sure enough she went barefoot down the red carpet. …Many A-list stars don’t go to the Cannes festival unless they have a real reason or unless they have a movie in the competition. They may be in Cannes but don’t show their face.”
The 53-year-old actress – who has only ever been the face of one other brand, Lancôme – revealed she has an “all or nothing” approach when it comes to choosing jewellery to wear on the red carpet.
She said: “Wearing a truly exquisite piece of jewellery to an event always ups the ante. It takes the glamour factor to the next level.
“I am a bit, all or almost nothing.
“If I put on a necklace, I put on five. If I put on a bracelet, I put 10 on each wrist.”
Sharing her earliest memory of wearing jewellery, she said: “The first piece of jewellery I ever had was when I was probably eight years old. My father gave me a birthstone ring. It was so shiny and felt magical.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Porter has learned how to “highlight and shadow” his cheekbones.

Asked what tips and tricks he has picked up along the way having his make-up done by professionals for TV and film, he said: “Well (laughs), the great thing about working in film and television is that people are there to do that stuff for you! (LAUGHS) So, you know, I can’t say that I’ve personally picked up tips, although I have learned how to highlight and shadow my cheekbones. I’ve learned how to pull those out a little bit more in a subtle way.”
The 51-year-old actor added how  Clorox Scentiva disinfecting wipes have become his best friend on set since returning to film the hit American drama series amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He told Byrdie.com: “But I must say, going back to ‘Pose’ post-pandemic, with all of the COVID protocols in place, Clorox Scentiva disinfecting wipes came in handy. That was a part of the process, making sure that everything was disinfected at all times. And I really use the product a lot in my trailer and in my space. You know, I carry around my little Scentiva wipes and made sure my stuff was clean, honey! Every surface!”

Kanye West’s Air Yeezy sample sneakers listed on Sotheby’s for $1m

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West’s sample pair of his Air Yeezy sneakers are being auctioned for $1 million.
Sotheby’s has listed the size-12 footwear, which the 43-year-old rap megastar wore for his iconic 2008 Grammys performance, in what marks the most expensive shoe listing for the auction house.
The black leather shoes with a faded Nike Swoosh were designed by Kanye and Mark Smith at Nike’s Innovation Kitchen in Oregon.
While the sale is private, collector Ryan Chang will put the Air Yeezy sneakers on display at his exhibition at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, which runs between April 16 to April 21.
The ‘Stronger’ hitmaker’s Yeezy line went on to make him a billionaire.
Kanye – who is currently going divorce proceedings with his estranged wife Kim Kardashian West – created his exclusive footwear brand in partnership with Adidas in 2015, and went on to unveil his first apparel collection named ‘Yeezy Season 1’ that same year.
Before his Yeezy partnership, the ‘Golddigger’ hitmaker designed shoes for Bathing Ape and Nike in 2012, however after five years and three silhouettes of sneakers, Kanye ended their partnership because the latter failed to grant him royalties.
Opening up about the Nike Air Yeezy II release in 2012, Kanye said: “It was the first shoe to have the same level of impact as an Air Jordan, and I wanted to do more. And at that time Nike refused to give celebrities royalties on their shoes.”
Kanye went on to have his successful long-running partnership with Adidas after they agreed to pay him royalties, and the rapper likes to make limited quantities of his trainer releases because it helps the brand stay relevant and “sell”.
He added: “What makes celebrity products sell so well is scarcity.
“So if they make it too broadly available, I think it crashes the business model.”
