Will Smith teams up with London Lions to launch Bel Air Athletics at Selfridges

OHMYGOSSIP — Will Smith has joined forces with the London Lions to launch his Bel Air Athletics line in the UK.
The ‘Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ star’s collection is on sale at Selfridges across the nation and he has partnered with the basketball team in a bid to bring the ball sport “into mainstream British culture”.
The Hollywood icon took to Instagram to announce the arrival of his line on this side of the pond by posting a clip of himself disappearing inside one of Selfridges’ yellow bags as a mode of transport to the London store.
Will captioned the clip: “y’all are wondering, I ended up on the floor of a #SelfridgesLondon- and now they got @belairathletics!! Shoutout to @theyellowdrop and @londonlions for the love : @westbrook @jas (sic)”
Meanwhile, last week saw the Lions join AJ Tracey at his album launch party for his latest album, ‘Flue Game’.
The players were joined court-side by the likes of Headie One, Stefflon Don and Wes Nelson
Will’s first Bel Air Athletics line dropped in October 2019 and featured 26 pieces, including graphic T-shirts, paisley-printed tracksuits, and shorts.
A second line dropped in November that year, boasting more than 40 unisex clothing items and accessories.
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old actor recently revealed he’s open to a political career.
The ‘Hitch’ star – who has joked about stepping into politics in the past – would absolutely “consider” a run for office in the future, although he’s not sure whether his role should remain “artistic”.
He said: “I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I’ll consider that at some point down the line.
“I don’t know, it’s like, I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony…
“So, I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, or, at some point ventures into the political arena.”

Joaquin Phoenix re-wore his Stella McCartney tux to Oscars

OHMYGOSSIP — Joaquin Phoenix re-wore his Stella McCartney tuxedo to the 2021 Oscars.
The 46-year-old actor brushed off the buttoned black tux for the sixth time after previously donning the ensemble for the 2020 Oscars, Golden Globes, the Critics Choice Awards, the SAG Awards, and the BAFTAs.
This time, he styled up the ensemble with a pair of Conserve sneakers instead of a pair of shiny black shoes.
The ‘Joker’ star took to the stage at the 93rd Academy Awards in Los Angeles to present the award for Best Actor to Sir Anthony Hopkins for his performance in ‘The Father’.

According to TMZ, the ‘Up’ hitmaker submitted the documents on April 16 for a business venture dealing in make-up, fragrance, skincare, hair and nails.
Just last month, the 28-year-old rap megastar revealed she is set to launch a haircare line to educate people on Afro-Latina hair in 2021.
She announced on Instagram: “This year I will be coming out with a hairline that I been working on at home for my hair and my daughters however, I think is time for people to educate themselves on nationality, race and ethnicity.
“Being Hispanic/Latina don’t make your hair long , don’t make your skin light or don’t make your face features slim specially Latin countries from the Caribbean islands.  ‘Dna have something to do with your hair not your nationality but guess what you can always maintain your hair …..and one more things not everyone that speaks Spanish is Mexican.”
It came after she shared her own natural hair journey with her millions of followers.
In 2019, the ‘WAP’ hitmaker – who has two-year-old daughter Kulture with husband Offset – teased that a beauty line is “something I wanna do.”
Meanwhile, the Grammy-winner recently admitted she thinks fame and success has made her feel more hungry.
The music star – who worked as a stripper before becoming one of the world’s best-selling artists – took to Twitter to suggest that money had changed her appetite, admitting she never felt as hungry when she was “broke”.
She wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “Why am I always so hungry ?! [sad face emoji] I swear I was never this hungry when I was broke. [sad face emoji] (sic)”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker has previously suggested that she was happier before finding fame.
She explained: “I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money.
“I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life. I feel like the world owns me.”

Hayley Hasselhoff had to wear her own lingerie for Playboy cover

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayley Hasselhoff had to wear her own lingerie for her Playboy cover.
The 28-year-old star made history as the first curve model to grace Playboy Germany, but has highlighted that there is still “a long way to go” with regards to inclusiveness, as she had to sort out her own outfit because the team didn’t have anything to fit her.
Speaking on ‘Tamron Hall’, she said: “You know there’s still a long way to go when it comes to availability for fashion. When it came down to actually fitting my figure in this lingerie, it’s all me. It came from my wardrobe.
“At the end of the day, I’m so used to it. And it’s sad to say that I’m used to coming onto set and sometimes not having the right pieces [available] because of my size.”
Hayley donned a red satin robe and a black lace bra and matching briefs for the shoot, and insisted she felt “more confident and comfortable” in pieces from her own wardrobe.
She added: “To be honest with you, it made me feel more confident and comfortable on the set anyway because I already felt good in these pieces.
“And I’ve done a lot of research … growing up as a curvy woman with a bigger bust and having to find the right brands that have availability for my size that are also sexy and beautiful.”
The daughter of David Hasselhoff and Pamela Beach previously admitted she was “overcome with emotion” to be featured on the European edition of the iconic magazine.
And explained how she wanted to “use this platform” to show others that they hold the “power” to “love [their] body without hesitation”.
Alongside the landmark cover, she wrote on Instagram: “I am deeply humbled and honoured to be the first ever curve model on a European cover of PLAYBOY @playboygermany. I am overcome with emotion around what this cover signifies for inclusivity and its greater purpose towards female empowerment. I wanted to use this platform to express that you have the power to love your body without hesitation because of societies’ standards of beauty. With @ellenvonunwerth iconic female gaze and cinematic love for showcasing a woman to her truest self, we chose to celebrate my body by shooting in this artful way. (sic)”

Giorgio Armani adopts sustainable approach for Oscars

OHMYGOSSIP — Giorgio Armani has adopted a “do-more-with-less approach” for the Oscars.
The 86-year-old fashion designer has dressed the biggest names in Hollywood every year, but this weekend will be notably different, with Armani “reusing a few styles” to reduce the impact on the environment.
Asked if he has scaled back on his resources ahead of Sunday night’s (25.04.21) ceremony, he told WWD: “Yes I have, not least because there have been fewer requests. On top of this, and more meaningfully, we are adopting a sustainable, do-more-with-less approach even to red carpet dressing, reusing a few styles instead of throwing them away after one outing, with an enormous waste of skills and resources. My creations are timeless, and can be worn on many occasions.
“And I am pleased that the celebrities I have involved have enthusiastically embraced this initiative. Cate Blanchett, for instance, has worn the same dresses on more than one occasion. And in December, for the opening night of La Scala in Milan, numerous artists performed in clothes that were previously worn, but no less impressive. “This is a very important aspect for me: having a conscience matters, even at the peak of glamour.”
Meanwhile, Armani insisted the red carpet is still important despite fashion shows going virtual in the past year, owing to the coronavirus pandemic, because it provides an “escape”.
He explained: “Red carpet fashion still matters, in my view, as a moment of escape and dreaming, which is probably more relevant now than it ever was before. I am saying this from the perspective of a very pragmatic designer and entrepreneur. I understand a momentary lack of interest now that things have gone virtual, but it will matter again, and actually it already does.”
However, he accepts that social media has far more of an “impact on revenues and success” of a brand than red carpet events.
He added: “It is about prestige and dreams, but those lead to dollars and cents. What I am saying is that red carpet exposure does not entice the commercial success of a certain item not lastly because for the red carpet we produce special bespoke or couture pieces. But the red carpet builds a popular aura: something intangible and difficult to define that nonetheless augments the prestige and gravitational pull of the brand. This said, today social media has far more impact on revenues and the success of specific pieces than ever before, even for a timelessly elegant label like mine.”

‘It’s so satisfying’: Saweetie reveals her skincare guilty pleasure

OHMYGOSSIP — Saweetie’s “guilty pleasure” is removing her blackheads.
The 27-year-old rapper has a special hook-shaped tool that she uses to pull out the teeny bumps that form on the skin due to clogged hair follicles and admitted she finds it “so satisfying” getting rid of them herself.
Taking part in Who What Wear’s ‘Unfiltered’ series, she confessed: “Oh my gosh, girl … I mean, this is nasty, but I like cleaning out my own whiteheads and blackheads. I have this amazing tool that’s shaped like a hook that really helps get everything out, so that’s definitely a guilty pleasure.”
Elsewhere, the ‘My Type’ hitmaker and nail art fanatic insisted she is inspired by various different styles and uses Pinterest for ideas because it “really opens up the world of beauty”.
Asked what nail designs are on her mood boards at present, she replied:  “Honestly, everything! I don’t have just one type of look that I’m interested in. I love looking at Pinterest for inspiration because it just really opens up the world of beauty. You’re able to see what other people like and get inspired. Right now, it’s just a mishmash of crystals, abstract designs, cartoon art, just hella different things I want to try.”
And Saweetie added how her overall look is reflective of her mood.
She said: I’ve always been super creative with my nails, and my look really just depends on my mood. I actually used to do nails back in college! I could only put acrylics on my left hand [laughs], but I used to practice on all of my friends and cousins. I’ve just always been really into nail art and designs.”
Asked for the best manicure tip she has learned over the years, she shared: “Make sure you steam your nails and hands when you’re removing anything or cleaning up your nails. Always just steam your skin so it’s nice and soft and ready to get cleaned out. It makes such a difference and your acrylics will come off a lot easier!”

Naomi Campbell closed Michael Kors’ 40th anniversary show in style

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell closed the Michael Kors 40th anniversary show in style.
The 50-year-old catwalk icon was among a host of supermodels who joined the 61-year-old fashion designer to celebrate the brand’s milestone on Tuesday (20.04.21) morning.
Kors opened the show at Times Square in New York by taking the time to thank Broadway for giving him “so much” over the years.
He said: “I’ve lost count a while back, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen thousands of Broadway shows at this point. There’s no greater experience in the world.
“So many of the incredible artists who make up Broadway have been devastated by the shutdown the pandemic has caused. So I’m here today to give back to a group of people who have given me so much.”
Kors was introducing the fashion house’s film for their fall collection.
The Erich Bergen-helmed clip featured Broadway superstars such as Billy Porter, Alan Cumming, Bette Midler, and Jane Krakowski, while Naomi was joined by Ashley Graham, Helena Christensen, Bella Hadid, and many more for the main show.
Naomi wowed in a full-length black sequined gown and tailored overcoat as she paraded down West 42nd Street.
A lifelong fan of Broadway, Kors wanted to channel the “opening-night feeling”, and opened up this week about missing going to the theatre amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said: “The heartbeat of New York is the Theatre District, and to see it just stopped was hard to comprehend because New York doesn’t stop. “It’s about that opening-night feeling … I want everyone to have this fabulous night out where you have an amazing dinner and drinks at Sardi’s, with theatre history oozing out of the walls, then you hit the street, strut your stuff and show off. And you get to go into a temple of live performance and see Rufus Wainwright performing.”
On the industry re-opening again and shooting the film, the designer explained: “It was overwhelming — being in the fashion community again, with people we have collaborated with forever, hair, make-up…models, it felt like this surreal party … And being in Times Square at midnight, and seeing the energy return — and that’s without theatre and restaurants — it really shows you peoples’ pent-up desire. “Last January when it was bitter cold, we went to dinner outside … I had mukluks on, it was insane. I ran into someone in the industry I haven’t seen in over a year, and she said, ‘Aren’t you itching to go to a bad dinner?’”

Baby, I’m Jealous: Bebe Rexha gets ‘jealous of those girls who always look perfect’

OHMYGOSSIP — Bebe Rexha is “jealous of those girls who always look perfect”.
The 31-year-old singer has been outspoken about body shaming and ageism in the music industry, and previously called out designers for refusing to dress her for the Grammys because of her size, as well as slamming a music executive who told her she was “too old to be sexy”.
And the ‘Baby, I’m Jealous’ hitmaker has admitted that while she wants to be a “fit queen” who always looks good, she has “problems” with “self-love” and “constant weight struggles”.
In a candid interview with The Forty-Five, she said: “I’ve had problems with loving myself and constant weight struggles.
“I want to be this fit queen who looks perfect all the time but it’s hard for me. I have problems with self-love and am jealous of those girls who always look perfect.”
The ‘I Got You’ singer has been dating filmmaker Keyan Safyari for the past year and admitted being in a “good relationship helps”.
She said: “I try to work out and be healthy but it’s hard. Being in a good relationship helps.”
Bebe added of her romance: “It’s going great. He’s a really nice guy and he respects me. He respects my career and supports me. What more could I ask for?”
The ‘I’m A Mess’ hitmaker previously vowed to do her best to “ignore” what critics say about her, although she does still get “insecure sometimes”.
She said in 2019: “You gotta ignore the body shaming. I just feel like now we’re in such a different landscape, especially for women. It doesn’t matter what your size is, it doesn’t matter what your age is. I get insecure sometimes. I’m human just like everyone else.
“It gets tough because, at the end of the day, I am in the public eye and if you complain about it, then it just doesn’t seem right. It’s a blessing for me to be doing what I love, and when I speak out about, you know, if it’s age or sizing, it’s not been that I’m the first to do it, I’m just not scared.”

Lizzo wanted to change her looks because she didn’t feel ‘worthy’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lizzo used to want to “edit or change” how she looked because she didn’t feel “worthy”.
This week, the Grammy-winner posted an unedited nude snap online in a bid to change “the conversation about beauty standards” as part of Dove’s Self-Esteem Project, which aims to highlight how dangerous social media and filters can be in making young people not feel “good enough or worthy of likes”.
And the ‘Jerome’ singer has opened up about her own journey with her body and the positive impact seeing someone who looked like her wearing bikinis inspired her to embrace her natural beauty.
She said: “I was following people before who I thought were beautiful and they were society’s beauty standard. Looking at them made me have this desire to edit or to change or think that I wasn’t worthy. I don’t want one person’s beauty to diminish the other.
“One day I stumbled upon Gabi Fresh. She had the first bikinis for fat girls. I was so excited. I was like, ‘She looks like me, right?’ I hit that follow button so hard.
“That led me to this beautiful world of women who looked like me.”
The ‘Good As Hell’ hitmaker has “nothing to hide” and “no shame anymore” as she is happy in her own skin.
Speaking on Zoom as part of a discussion for the Self-Esteem Project, she continued: “As most people know I did an interview about What’s Underneath Project years ago and I took off all my clothes. I took my wig off and talked about the things I loved about myself. I was like, if anybody wants to see how I really look, all they got to do is go to YouTube.
“From then on, I was like, I have nothing to hide. There’s no shame anymore. I just post myself. It’s like, you take me as I am. You don’t have to love me.”
Lizzo added how her body is “not a political statement” and she wants to see “body normativity” take over from the body positivity movement.
She explained: “I’m going to continue to live in this body and survive in this body and be happy and actually enjoy life, I need to find a way to like myself. I was body negative for a long time.
“Most people are taught that body negativity is normal, right? Then I became body positive, which is the opposite of that. It’s disruptive.
“I believe everything I say about my body. But to push this conversation forward, we need to normalise it.
“It’s not a political statement. It’s just my body. When you see it, keep it pushing. Keep that same energy that you keep with all the other bodies you see. That’s what body normative really means to me. I’m here, don’t say anything. It’s not a statement. It’s my body.”

Bobbi Brown: Make-up is going to be fresh, glowy and natural this summer

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobbi Brown believes “natural” and “glowy” glam will be popular in the summer months.
The 64-year-old make-up artist has suggested people will continue to opt for low maintenance looks, which many have adopted in quarantine amid the COVID-19 pandemic, because they have become “more comfortable” with their natural beauty.
Speaking on Us Weekly’s ‘Glam Squad Confidential’, she said: “Most of us have really enjoyed the new lifestyle of more comfortable things, and I think – they’ll be more highlights in the hair, there’s no question – the make-up is going to be fresh and glowy and natural because I think people are more comfortable seeing that on themselves. And so I’m thrilled about that.”
In 2020, Bobbi launched a new beauty brand – four years after leaving her eponymous brand.
Jones Road is the “make-up equivalent of a Swiss Army Knife”.
She said: “Four years ago, after I left Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, one of those questions [I asked myself] was: Why can’t I find makeup products that are both clean and high-performance – that don’t sacrifice one for the other? Jones Road was born from a search for something that didn’t yet exist. Because it didn’t exist, I had to create it. What I wanted was the makeup equivalent of a Swiss Army Knife: easy, cool, multi-purpose products that could be used to nail any look, whether it be no-makeup makeup or something with more drama.”
And Bobbi said then that she has been doing simple make-up routines, herself rather than the glam she was used to with her previous company.
On her preference for “simple” looks nowadays, she said: “When I was promoting my books as part of the brand, I had stylists and PR people and cars and drivers. When I promoted a book after [I left Bobbi Brown Cosmetics], I’d get a blowout from one of those places, and show up in the studio in jeans and sneakers – and me doing my own makeup by the way – and I felt, ‘Wow, this is who I really am.’ I really liked being my simple, normal self.”
Bobbi also feels things are completely “different” today than when she set up her previous brand.
She said: “I created my original brand in the ’90s. Things are different today. Women shop differently; there is a new definition of what beauty is. Imperfect is beautiful.”

Hailey Bieber is a fan of TikTok-popular Starface pimple stickers

OHMYGOSSIP — Hailey Bieber uses TikTok-popular Starface pimple stickers.
The 24-year-old model uses the fun patches as part of her night-time skincare routine.
Speaking in a YouTube clip, she said: “I find that when I’m working a lot and I have a lot of different make-up put on my face … my skin is just insanely sensitive, so I find that I break out.
“I really, really love the little Starface pimple stickers. They totally help heal a pimple way faster, so if I’m breaking out I will always sleep with one of these on. And they look cute! I’m never mad at a cute little situation.”
Hailey also revealed that she aims to look like a “glazed doughnut” before she goes to bed.
After using a cleansing balm to remove her make-up, she will use a milky cleanser to sink into her porse.
She explained: “I’m going to start with an oil cleanser because I have a lot of make-up on and I don’t use make-up wipes … It’s honestly made the biggest difference in my skin.”
The blonde beauty – who is married to pop superstar Justin Bieber – also swears by the Biba Los Angeles Plant Stem Cell Peptide Serum, for the ultimate glow.
She added: “My standard when I go to bed at night is that if I’m not getting into bed looking like a glazed doughnut, then I’m not doing the right thing. Find yourself a moisturizer that helps you look like a glazed doughnut at the end of the day.”
Hailey recently admitted she prefers not to do “full glam” when she is not working to help maintain her flawless complexion.
She said: “I would say the days of doing full-on glam for fun myself even before COVID were few and far between. I’m way more into skincare, and I’m just always getting my make-up done for work so I tend to stick more to the really chill, ‘no make-up make-up’ and focus on keeping my skin healthy.”

Kobe Bryant’s Nike endorsement deal is no more

OHMYGOSSIP — Kobe Bryant’s endorsement deal with Nike has expired.
The late NBA superstar’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, decided not to renew the contract with the sports brand, which came to an end of April 13, however, she has vowed to ensure his fans can continue to wear and get their hands on his footwear.
In an Instagram Story statement, Vanessa said: “Kobe’s Nike contract expired on 4/13/21. Kobe and Nike have made some of the most beautiful basketball shoes of all time, worn and adored by fans and athletes in all sports across the globe.
“It seems fitting that more NBA players wear my husband’s product than any other signature shoe.
“My hope will always be to allow Kobe’s fans to get and wear his products. I will continue to fight for that.”
“Kobe’s products sell out in seconds. That says everything.
“I was hoping to forge a lifelong partnership with Nike that reflects my husband’s legacy. We will always do everything we can to honour Kobe and Gigi’s legacies. That will never change.”
In a statement to ESPN, Nike insisted that while the contract has come to an end, Kobe remains a “deeply loved member of the Nike family”.
The company said: “Kobe Bryant was an important part of Nike’s deep connection to consumers.”
“He pushed us and made everyone around him better.
“Though our contractual relationship has ended, he remains a deeply loved member of the Nike family.”
The late former Los Angeles Lakers player first signed with Nike in 2003, and released dozens of sneakers emblazoned with his name.
Kobe and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna passed away in a helicopter crash, at the age of 41, in January 2020.
The basketball hero was survived by Vanessa and their kids Natalia, 18, Bianka, four, and Capri, 21 months.

Selma Blair: Make-up has always been my gorgeous war paint

OHMYGOSSIP — Selma Blair has described make-up as her “gorgeous war paint”.
The ‘Cruel Intentions’ star has insisted that even before she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis – a disease in which the immune system eats at the nerves, causing pain and numbness in the body – in 2018, having her glam done has never been “trivial” to her and is like a “superpower” that transforms her.
Selma told the May issue of Town & Country magazine – of which she is the cover star – that: “I’ve been made up by some of the most famous make-up artists since I started acting, and I’ve felt so transformed by their make-up that I really did become a different person.
“It was a superpower to me, and I mean this. Make-up is not trivial to me. If anything moves the needle for me in my life — even before my diagnosis or challenges — it is my gorgeous war paint.”
MS also impacts her speech, but the 48-year-old star admitted she doesn’t care how her words come out, as long as they are spoken from “lips covered in Chanel gloss”.
She added: “I don’t mind if my muscles get caught at the intersection of a slow brain signal. I just want those words to come from lips covered in Chanel gloss.”
Selma also requires a cane to help her walk, as well as having difficulty speaking.
But after undergoing treatments over the last few years – including a stem cell transplant and an “aggressive” course of chemotherapy to restart her immune system – she started to improve, and, earlier this year, she revealed she had started horse-riding again.
Selma – who has a horse named Nibbles – wrote on social media at the time: “I couldn’t feel my bum or left leg on my horse. The proprioception issues, inability to sit still, spasms, twitches. Jerks. Dystonia increased. I just laughed and thought getting older is impossible! But it was MS and it got too big and I had to take a break until now.
“I am at the beginning. Still. And I cannot stop smiling. I cannot. When I am at the barn. I finally have the white unicorn I cannot believe is in my life and I want to rise to the occasion.”

Halle Berry makes homemade skincare with her daughter

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry has been making homemade skincare products with her daughter.
The 54-year-old actress has been educating 13-year-old Nahla about “real beauty” and teaching her to have the “confidence to put your real self forward”.
And the mother-daughter duo even got stuck into making their own natural concoctions in quarantine.
Halle – who also has a seven-year-old son called Maceo – told People: “I’m giving myself more pedicures and facials and concocting things. If I’m doing a deep cleanse on my skin, [I’ll apply] a homemade mask made of yogurt, honey and lemon for vitamin C. I’m really having fun.
“It’s really been fun doing it with my daughter. She just turned 13, so she’s learning about all these products.
