Sir Elton John still owns ‘most’ of his crazy spectacles

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John still owns “most” of his crazy spectacles.
The 74-year-old music legend is known for his extensive hoard of rock-star shades, having amassed thousands of bonkers glasses in all shapes and sizes over the past five decades, and he still has many of the ones he’s worn on stage, including his famous oversized star-shaped lenses.
However, he finds it impossible to pick a favourite.
Asked if he could name his most-loved pair, the ‘I’m Still Standing’ hitmaker told LADbible: “Not really because I’ve got so many I can choose whatever mood I’m in. I’m you know I’m very lucky to have so much to choose from.”
Asked: “How many do you have?”, Elton replied: “Oh god I’m not sure I mean it’s in the thousands. It has to be yeah but I’ve been collecting them ever since 1970 when I started wearing the stars and all the crazy glasses I still have most of them.”
As well as his impressive glasses collection, Elton also owns more than 100,000 CDs.
The ‘Rocket Man’ star is an avid record collector and though his collection is huge, none of it has been placed into storage so he can always access whatever it is he wants to listen to.
He admitted previously: “I have over 120,000 CDs and 15,000 pieces of vinyl. They are stored in my home shelves so I can access whatever I want, whenever I want… I definitely prefer LPs.”
Meanwhile, Elton revealed he is health-conscious these days after abusing drugs and alcohol in the past – and his post-gig feast is less rock and roll than you’d expect.
The rock icon – who recently underwent hip replacement surgery – tends to opt for “a handful of almonds and a glass of water” instead of a calorific slice of pizza, which he’d really like to chow down on.
He said: “It’s very hard to eat after gigs because it’s very bad to eat that late at night so I might have a handful of almonds and a glass of water which is really boring where I’d love to have a pizza.”

Kim Kardashian West’s Skims to release Fendi capsule collection

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West’s Skims and Fendi announced a capsule collection.
The 41-year-old star’s shapewear brand has joined forces with the Italian luxury fashion house’s Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear Kim Jones on the “first of its kind collaboration”.
The businesswoman shared on Instagram: “Introducing FENDI x SKIMS – a first of its kind collaboration that unites the luxury of @Fendi with the innovation of @SKIMS. This limited edition collection launches on November 9 at 6am PST at www.fendiskims.com. #FENDIxSKIMS (sic)”
The post included snaps of the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star modelling the collection, which includes a matching sheer bra and tights emblazoned with a “special hybrid logo pattern”, a khaki bodysuit, and a nude all-in-one.
The collection, which drops on the new website fendiskims.com on November 9, comes in a range of “bold colourways, including a fuschia pink shade.
Meanwhile, the mother-of-four – who has North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two, with 44-year-old rap legend Kanye West – has just revealed that her estranged husband has a hand in her businesses.
The KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance founder told WSJ. Magazine: “He has a piece of Skims himself and gives [the team] inspiration but also information.”
Kim – who recently joked that she split from the ‘Stronger’ hitmaker because of his personality while hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ -declared: “Kanye will always be the most inspirational person to me.”
The reality star has been named the 2021 Brand Innovator for the publication’s upcoming Innovator Awards.
This summer, the law student was invited to design the official undergarments and loungewear for Team USA at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
She said at the time: “When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle.”
Kim launched Skims back in September 2019 and knew from the get-go what she wanted to achieve with the shapewear brand.
Emma Grede – who is the founding partner of the brand and co-founder of her sister Khloe Kardashian’s Good American apparel label – said: “Skims was Kim’s idea since she was making her own shapewear back in the day by dyeing it with tea bags to match her skin tone. She had a very clear idea. And I imagine that seeing what I did with Good American made me look like a good and attractive business partner to her – there’s a trust level there. Kim can choose to work with anyone she wants in the whole world, but I really know the product.”

Kim Jones named Fashion Innovator of the year by Wall Street Journal

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Jones has been named Fashion Innovator of the year by The Wall Street Journal.
The Fendi Artistic Director of womenswear and haute couture – who acquired the position last year, following the death of the late fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld in 2019 – has been honoured alongside Kim Kardashian West, who is this year’s Brand Innovator for the success of her shapewear line Skims.
The pair have just unveiled their joint collaboration, a first-of-its-kind Skims x Fendi collection, and the 47-year-old designer revealed how the joint venture came about.
The Dior Homme creative director said: “My team and I were sitting around a table at the studio in Rome. Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn’t know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new Skims collection. It was then that I thought: let’s do something together.”
The 41-year-old reality star announced the capsule collection on social media.

Anya Taylor-Joy was a tomboy growing up

OHMYGOSSIP — Anya Taylor-Joy was a “real, real tomboy” growing up.
The ‘Queen’s Gambit’ actress – who has just been named a global brand ambassador for Dior – always turns heads in glamourous gowns on the red carpet but the 25-year-old star has revealed that until she started her career, she was never into fashion.
Speaking on ‘People TV’, she said: “It’s been so interesting because I grew up a real, real tomboy. Clothes only entered into my hemisphere when I started working, so I’ve been getting the craziest fashion education.”
Anya has learned so much from her stylist, Law Roach, and loves expressing herself through clothes.
She said: “It’s opened me up to this whole other medium of expressing myself and having fun and enjoying it.”
The star’s new role at the iconic French fashion house will see the Golden Globe-winner showcase creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri women’s collections with make-up direction by Peter Philips.
Anya has stepped out in several Dior pieces of late, including a show-stopping yellow silk couture gown teamed with a bold cape at the 2021 Emmys.
The model is also an ambassador for brands such as Viktor & Rolf and Tiffany & Co. and has appeared on the cover of major fashion publications.
Next month, the ‘Split’ star will be crowned Face of the Year at the 2021 CDFA Fashion Awards.
The event takes place on November 10 at The Pool + The Grill inside New York’s Seagram Building, and will also see Zendaya receive the Fashion Icon title.
The ‘Dune’ star, also 25, follows in the footsteps of Naomi Campbell, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga in being awarded the prestigious accolade.

Irina Shayk is the new face of Self-Portrait

OHMYGOSSIP — Irina Shayk is the new face of Self-Portrait.
The 35-year-old supermodel is the latest big name to star in a campaign for the popular brand and is modelling their resort 2022 collection.
Han Chong, the founder and creative director of the luxury fashion label, chose the Russian catwalk beauty for her “incredible natural balance of strength and femininity.”
In a statement, Han continued: “She has this infectious independence and sense of who she is, and epitomises these different sides of what it means to be a woman, which I really wanted to capture with this campaign and collection. She is romantic yet powerful and sensual yet vulnerable, all at the same time.”
The designer added that the collection is both “super sexy” and “comfortable”.
He told WWD: “It builds on our existing feminine shapes, which celebrate femininity, with a strong emphasis on styles that make women feel like themselves with confidence and ease. I also wanted to elevate our knitwear offering.
“This season, I introduced them in a more occasional dressing way. So they feel super sexy but still super comfortable to wear, whether it’s on the street or during evening times.”
Last month, Bella Hadid was announced as the face of Self-Portrait’s Spring 2022 collection, which will be unveiled early next year.
The supermodel was tasked with “transforming into varying sides of her character” for the shoot to showcase how Self-Portrait is for all different kinds of women.
Han said at the time: “When I think of the Self-Portrait woman, I never just have one person in mind — for me, the joy of what I do comes from designing for women with different personalities, different attitudes and different ways of living their lives.
“I wanted to celebrate this spirit with my new collection and wanted to present the different facets of the Self-Portrait woman with a series of images of Bella Hadid transforming into varying sides of her character.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham’s eponymous beauty brand is “not about jumping on a bandwagon or trend”.
The former Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer launched the lucrative business in 2019 as an extension to her fashion label, and she has insisted the secret to Victoria Beckham Beauty’s success is giving the consumer what they want.
Speaking to WWD, Victoria said: “It’s about what I want, what we want, and it’s not about jumping on a bandwagon or trend.
“It’s what we want to use as women.”
The 47-year-old star also expanded her label to include skincare and previously explained how her intention was to create products that are sustainable and not made from toxic formulas, whilst being “inclusive” for all skin tones.
The mother-of-four – who has Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and Harper, 10, with retired soccer star husband David Beckham – said: “I’ve been obsessed with make-up and skincare and wellness for longer than I can remember.
“But I couldn’t find what I wanted – clean beauty.
“What is that, even? It’s a real grey area.
“I wanted to create a brand of the future – focusing on what’s in the formulas but then also sustainability.
“The other thing that was key was making sure it was very inclusive – whether it’s make-up or skincare, this is for every skin type and tone, and for both women and men.”
Meanwhile, Victoria – who was known as Posh Spice in the ‘2 Become 1’ girl group – previously confessed she wore fitted dresses to cope with her “insecurities”.
She said: “When I was in the Spice Girls there were stylists who dressed the group, but in my personal life I have never worked with a stylist. I used to wear lots of structured dresses with corsetry, and I do still have some of those dresses, but my personal style has become more relaxed. Looking back, I guess it was a sign of insecurity that I would always wear clothes that were very tight, very fitted.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lala Kent has to wear “little hoops” because her little girl swings on her giant earrings “like they’re monkey bars”.
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star – who is a spokesperson for the Amazon Influencer Program – started wearing snuggie hoops after seeing model Hailey Bieber in them, and the smaller hoops are a much safer option when her seven-month-old daughter Ocean is about.
Listing her favourite items to buy from the online retailer, Lala told E! News: “When you become a mom, you can’t wear the giant hoops all the time because Ocean is swinging on those like they’re monkey bars. I’ve had these in. These are the tiny little hoops. I call these the Hailey Bieber hoops because Hailey Bieber always has these cute, pretty thick, little hoops in and they’re just so chic. When you put your hair back with them, it’s just such a vibe. These are the perfect size. You need these, especially if you’re a mom because they’re the only ones that you’re baby’s not gonna rip out of your ears.”
The reality star revealed Ocean’s father, Randall Emmett, used to nickname her ‘Hoopies’ when she wore her giant hoops, while she revealed her co-star on the Bravo series, Scheana Shay, used to swipe her oversized earrings.
She added: “I used to wear the most giant hoops all the time, they were like hula hoops. Then, Scheana [Shay] jacked my hoops. She always wears hoops. I’m not mad about it though. It’s all good. These are a perfect-sized hoop. Randall [Emmett] used to call me ‘Hoopies’ because I wore hoops so much. These are enough to make your man call you ‘Hoopies,’ but they’re not too big. I think you need a hoop in every single color metal.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Anya Taylor-Joy has been named a global brand ambassador for Dior.
The ‘Queen’s Gambit’ star has landed a new role at the iconic French fashion house, which will see the Golden Globe-winner showcase creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri women’s collections with make-up direction by Peter Philips, WWD reports.
The 25-year-old actress has stepped out in several Dior pieces of late, including a show-stopping yellow silk couture gown teamed with a bold cape at the 2021 Emmys last month.
Anya’s Dior appointment comes days after it was revealed that Emma Raducanu has become the new face of Dior.
The 18-year-old tennis ace – who has become a household name after her performances in the US Open last month – has joined the luxury label as an ambassador for Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s womenswear collections, as well as the brand’s skincare and make-up ranges.
She said: “Maria Grazia’s work empowers women to feel confident in the iconic Dior cut, which I feel is very unique.
“The sincerity of her approach and the way she turns shows into collective and meaningful events unquestionably influenced me in my choice.”
The partnership came after Emma – who has already signed up as an ambassador for Tiffany & Co. – appeared at the Met Gala in a gown from Dior’s resort 2022 collection.
She added: “It felt heavenly! Being able to wear a dress like that made with all the magic in the Dior ateliers was a totally unique experience.
“The detailed embroidery was exceptional and I was so honoured to attend my first movie premiere in it.”

Victoria Beckham’s children want her to go back to the 90s for fashion

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham’s kids want her to revisit her 1990s outfits – but she thinks she’d end up “locked away by the fashion police”.
The 47-year-old designer – who has Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and 10-year-old Harper with husband David Beckham – revealed her brood keep digging out her old photos from her Spice Girls days and urging her to try the same looks again because they thought she looked “really cool”, but she doesn’t agree.
She said: “My kids pull out all my old pictures! There’s one paparazzi picture of me going into Marks & Spencers and I’m on the phone, wearing tracksuit bottoms, some sort of trainer, and I’ve got a big silver puffer [jacket].
“Cruz sent me that image a couple weeks ago and was like, “Mom you look so cool; why don’t you dress like that anymore?” And I’m thinking, if I dressed like that now I’d be locked away by the fashion police…
““There’s one of me and David walking our Rottweiler dogs, which, by the way, were called Puffy and Snoop, when we lived in Manchester. And my kids are like, ‘Mom, you look really cool!’ ”
Victoria and David famously wore matching black head-to-toe leather outfits in 1999 and the ‘Not Such An Innocent Girl’ hitmaker admitted their wardrobe choice was “so wrong”, but because of their choice of designer for the occasion, not their ensembles.
She told Wall Street Journal: “I will never, ever, ever, ever be allowed to forget that look. The irony is that we wore full-on leather Gucci to a Versace event for Donatella. Which in itself was just so wrong.”
Despite some of the “bad taste” items she wore in the 90s, Victoria admitted there are some pieces she’d wear again, but has a better idea of how to style them now.
She said: “There’s some bad taste there that I embrace and find inspiring now.
“For example, there’s nothing wrong with PVC pants if you’re going to pair it with a beautiful white tuxedo shirt. That’s a different interpretation of how I would have worn it in the 90s.
“Back then, I would have worn [PVC pants] with a bikini top with my boobs up by my chin, whereas now I’d wear [them] with a beautiful shoe and a tuxedo blouse. ”

Billie Eilish announces debut fragrance

OHMYGOSSIP — Billie Eilish is releasing her first perfume.
The 19-year-old singer first dreamed of creating her own fragrance “a million years ago” because she couldn’t find the exact combination of scents she wanted, so she couldn’t be happier with her new venture, which is simply titled Eilish.
She told Allure magazine: “I had the idea [to create a fragrance] million years ago. I’ve always wanted to do this. I was chasing this one scent that I had in my head of vanilla, amber, musk, cocoa, rose, and wood.”
And the ‘bad guy’ hitmaker wanted the fragrance to be “mentally sexy” and to create a sense of intimacy between the wearer and those who can smell the scent on them.
She said: “I’ve always been infatuated by necks and collarbones and back muscles and shoulders and armpits. I’ve always thought they were really beautiful.
“I wanted to accentuate that beauty without making it about [sexualising bodies].
“It’s not really supposed to be physically sexy. It’s almost supposed to be mentally sexy.” S
Billie admitted she “almost cried” when fragrance development company Parlux sent her a sample for the fragrance because it was exactly what she wanted.
She said: “I described in detail what it is that I wanted, what I loved idea-wise about it, how I wanted it to feel, the kind of warmth that I wanted it to have, and the memories that I have in the vanilla world.
“When they first sent me the sample to smell, I almost cried because it was so perfect. It was wild.”
The metallic gold bottle is a miniature bust sculpture, with the head cut off above the nose and the detail concentrated around the neck area.
Billie said of the design: “[I want it to be] personal and relatable and intimate. I just want everybody to be able to see themselves in this bottle and see whoever they wanted to see in the bottle.”

Tan France owns over 50 coats

OHMYGOSSIP — Tan France owns more than 50 coats.
The ‘Queer Eye’ star loves buying new outerwear but just adds the pieces to the others in his wardrobe, rather than replacing out old garments.
He told Page Six Style: “Coats are the thing I buy more than anything else, other than footwear.
“I’d say I have at least 50-70 pieces of outerwear, but over 20-30 of those I’ve had for over five years and still wear each fall and winter.”
Tan’s shopping struggle to find the perfect coat has inspired his new seven-piece genderless outerwear collection Was Him.
He explained: “If I wanted chic, well-fitting longer coats, I always had to pop across to women’s departments of the store, as I could rarely find what I was looking for in the boring men’s departments.
“Being British, I’ve always loved structured tailoring, especially when it comes to outerwear. I’m now a dual citizen, and married to a Wyoming rancher, so I wanted to bring that duality to this debut collection.
“You’ll see details like the ombré green patch pockets and the [colour-blocking on the] navy coat, which represent the changing of the shades of grass to hay on my in-laws’ ranch.”
Meanwhile, although the style expert insisted becoming a father to three-month-old Ismail – his first child with husband Rob France – hasn’t changed his sense of fashion, he admitted he now carries a change of shirt everywhere with him.
He said: “Honestly, the only thing [fatherhood’s] done is encouraged me to keep a second shirt with me when I’m out and about, because my son Ismail spits up every now and then. Other than that, I haven’t really toned down my style.
“I want my son to look at me as he grows, and to see that making an effort with your style can really help your self-esteem, so I don’t plan on changing my ways any time soon.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael B. Jordan’s “skin is thriving” after getting skincare advice from Lori Harvey.
The 24-year-old model – who went public with her romance with the ‘Black Panther’ star in January – inspired her beau to start his own skincare regimen, and he’s been glowing ever since.
Lori – who has just dropped her debut skincare line, SKN by LH – told ‘Access Daily’: “He just loves having a [skincare] routine now.
“Seeing him just like wipe his face with a wet rag in the morning … I was like, wait! I need to moisturise you.
“So he loves just having like a regime now.
“His skin is thriving now.”
The daughter of actor Steve Harvey, 64, previously revealed that she tests out all of her beauty products on the 34-year-old movie star, and even got her famous father into skincare.
She said: “I tested all my products, of course, on myself, but I also tested them on my boyfriend.
“I’ve pretty much gotten all of the men in my life on a skincare regimen, my dad included … so if you’re wondering why his skin looks so good lately, it’s because of me.”
Lori got schooled up on skincare later in life, after using products that irritated her skin and caused acne when she was younger.
She told hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover: “As I got older, you know, I was experimenting with skincare. [I] didn’t really have a lot of knowledge about it, and I was actually using products that were making my skin worse, which led to acne and just like really bad scarring, skin irritation, so as I got older, started educating myself about skincare.”

Adele quips she looks like a ‘bald eagle’ without make-up

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele has quipped that she looks like a “bald eagle” when she’s not glammed up on stage.
The ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker – who has just returned with her first new music in six years in the form of the piano ballad from her upcoming LP, ’30’ – has admitted she’s never been a fan of being in the spotlight, but the LA-based singer insisted she is able to go largely unnoticed out and about because she dresses down in her day-to-day life.
Taking part in Vogue’s 73 questions video series from her abode in La La Land, she said when asked about fame: “I don’t love it.
“But ever since ’21’ came out, my hair gets bigger, my make-up gets thicker, my dresses get bigger so that I practically look like a bald eagle or something like that in day-to-day life.”
The 33-year-old pop superstar also revealed the product she uses to get her signature winged eyeliner look is by Path McGrath Labs, while she opted for heels over sliders, and named Hollywood star Cate Blanchett, 52, as her fashion idol.
Meanwhile, the ‘Hello’ singer recently revealed her son “doesn’t care” about her fame.
Angelo, nine – who she has with ex-husband Simon Konecki – isn’t “really aware” of just how big a name she is across the world because he isn’t impressed that she doesn’t have as many followers on YouTube as his favourite gamers.
She said: “He’s into like gamers, like he likes Flamingo and all them lot, like I mean yeah he ain’t bothered by me at all.
“He does not care at all. He is like, ‘You’re so busy all the time now’, like blah-blah. But no he doesn’t care and he’s always comparing.
“The other day he was telling me how many YouTube followers I have is nowhere near as many as the big gamers. I was like, ‘Okay cheers kid, thanks for that.’ Again no he’s not really aware of it yet.”
Although the ‘When We Were Young’ hitmaker is planning to take Angelo to work with her, she still doesn’t think he’ll be impressed.
She added: “He’s coming to a couple of, sort of work things that I have coming up and we’ll see, but I’m sure he’ll just be like, ‘Well I think Flamingo will have done it like this or like that.’
“Like, yeah but he’s great, he’s a lot of fun, he’s a very lovely, lovely little boy.”

BLACKPINK star Jennie is face of Chanel’s Coco Neige collection

OHMYGOSSIP — BLACKPINK star Jennie has urged people to make a fashion statement without losing their “edge”.
The K-pop singer is the face of Chanel’s new Coco Neige winter sports collection – which launches on Tuesday (19.10.21) – and she has unveiled the fashion brand’s new campaign as she praised creative director Virginie Viard for bringing “elegance into skinwear”.
In a video promoting the collection, she said: “You want to look like you’re having the ebst time skiing, but also tell people that you didn’t lose your edge, you know?”
In the shoot, Jennie – who has been an ambassador for the French brand since 2017 – wore a rose-printed cardigan, running gloves, a cashmere bra top and sweat pants.
The house added: “In each image, Jennie embodies a different facet of the Chanel spirit: irreverence, nonchalance, freedom of movement and elegance.”
Chanel first introduced beach and skiwear collections Coco Beach and Coco Neige in 2018 – under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld – with Margot Robbie as the first face of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Jennie’s BLACKPINK bandmates have also paired up with fashion brands, with Lisa named as an ambassador for MAC Cosmetics, while Jisoo joined Dior as the company’s global fashion and beauty ambassador and Rose has teamed up with Tiffany and Co.
Speaking earlier this year, Rose said: “I’ve worn Tiffany jewellery since I was in high school.
“To be a part of such an iconic brand that has been a part of my life for a long time makes it that much more special to me. I’m very honoured and excited.”
And the ‘On the Ground’ singer – who released her debut solo project, ‘R’, to acclaim last month – has shared how her mom was her fashion idol growing up.
She recalled: “I still remember when she used to work full-time back in New Zealand. How she would dress up in the chicest black fitted blazer and pencil skirt.
“I admire her in so many ways, [especially] how responsible, respectful, and kind she is to the people around her.”

Adele loved variety in Vogue cover shoots

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele loved the contrast in snaps for her Vogue magazine photoshoot.
The 33-year-old singer “had such a great time” working with the publication on her cover shoots for the November issue, and she was delighted with the range of pictures capturing different moods.
Appearing on Kiis FM’s ‘The Kyle and Jackie O Show’ this week, she said: “I didn’t see the final covers till everyone else did.
“I had such a great time on those shoots, that I sort of knew I would glow in the photos. I was really happy and had so much fun…
“I love that there was such a juxtaposition on those as well, one with my t*** out and one with me looking like Emily Blunt [in a green ensemble].”
Elsewhere in the interview, things got awkward when Australian host Kyle Sandilands compared her to ‘Little Britain’ character Vicky Pollard, who was played by Matt Lucas in the BBC sketch show.
He said: “You’re just like us…. You’re Vicky Pollard but with an amazing voice. Vicky Pollard is a bad example. But I love Vicky Pollard.”
Adele was able to laugh at the comparison, adding: “I’ve had that comparison before, all good. I am glad you think I’m normal, because I am.”
Meanwhile, Adele has admitted a lot of people think she looks like ‘American Horror Story’ actress Sarah Paulson.
She told Vogue: “But I do, it’s actually quite intense.”
The star suggested her celebrity twin is actually Emily Blunt, as she added: “Only the forehead.”
