Kylian Mbappe becomes a global ambassador for Dior

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylian Mbappe has become a new global ambassador for Dior.
The 22-year-old soccer star is set to represent the French house’s men’s fashion lines, and its Sauvage fragrance, according to WWD.com.
The World Cup-winning star is currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain, who announced a two-season collaboration with Dior earlier this year.
Mbappe has previously been spotted in various Dior designs and despite his age, he has already established himself as one of the world’s most recognisable athletes.
The France international – who scored in the 2018 World Cup Final against Croatia – has a lucrative sponsorship agreement with Nike, and he’s now following in the footsteps of people like Anna-Taylor Joy, Yara Shahidi, Nina Dobrev and Iris Law by becoming a brand ambassador for Dior.
In September, meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Dior announced their two-season partnership.
The announcement was accompanied by a video clip that featured some of the team’s biggest stars, including Brazilian goalscorer Neymar and Spanish legend Sergio Ramos, as they were fitted in their tailor-made suits.
Dior said at the time: “The formal outfit pairs a cashmere coat, a jacket, a shirt and pants, and a pair of black leather Dior timeless captoe derbies. The pieces are enhanced by other subtle details, reflecting Dior’s savoir-faire excellence.”
The partnership was announced shortly after the French club confirmed the signing of record-breaking star Lionel Messi.
The 34-year-old Argentine is widely considered to be one of the greatest soccer players of all time, and his transfer has also helped to raise the profile of the team.

Hunter McGrady ‘learned about her body’ after modelling rejection

OHMYGOSSIP — Hunter McGrady decided to “learn about [her] body” after facing rejection.
The 28-year-old star has recalled being rejected for a modelling job, and she admits that her career has been a roller-coaster ride.
She shared: “The last straw was when I booked a job and was like, ‘I’m the thinnest I’ve ever been. This is fabulous’.
“I walk in and everyone’s staring at me. The producer comes over and is like, ‘Listen, we have to talk to you. We didn’t realise how big you were.’ It was a stretchy T-shirt company. They didn’t even give me an option to try anything on – they just said they wouldn’t work with me.
“After that, I told my mom I didn’t want to do it anymore. I was really feeling it emotionally – and dealing with anxiety and depression.”
Hunter subsequently turned to therapy, and she now looks back on the setback as a “building block” in her career.
The blonde beauty told Health magazine: “Mentally, I knew I needed help.
“I really had to strip away everything I had been told and had learned. I look back and I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s sad.’ But it’s also the first building block of the career I have now. I really had to learn about my body and learn how to nourish it and love it again.”
Hunter ultimately drew inspiration from other plus-size models.
The curvaceous star – who featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2017 – said: “They were plus-size models – I didn’t even know that was a thing.
“During my time off, I had grown physically and mentally. I thought, ‘These girls look like me now.’ So, I went to Wilhelmina Models, and they signed me.”

Lily Collins says Emily in Paris has a ‘heightened sense of fashion’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins thinks there’s a “heightened sense of fashion” in the second season of ‘Emily in Paris’.
The 32-year-old actress has reprised the role of Emily Cooper for the second series of the Netflix show, and Lily has revealed she relished working with costume designers Patricia Field and Marilyn Fitoussi.
Lily explained: “The two of them together are such geniuses and they have such different and also very similar voices in fashion.
“The mixture of the two creates this dialogue that is so fascinating. They’re so collaborative. We mix new and unknown designers with vintage couture.”
Lily thinks each character on the show “has their own look and aesthetic”.
And the actress admires the efforts of the costume designers.
She told People: “The collaboration between them and each actor is so amazing. This season, we could go into the wardrobe and go, ‘Oh, that’s for Samuel [Arnold]. Well, that’s for Camille [Razat], that’s for Ashley [Park], that’s for me’. We all have such individual styles.
“It’s really hard to create a show where every single character has their own look and aesthetic, and to have it be such a heightened sense of fashion for season two, I was like ‘Oh my God, how do you guys do this?'”
Earlier this week, meanwhile, Lily confessed that she struggled to run in heels after the COVID-19 lockdown.
The Hollywood star became too comfortable with her lockdown attire, and it made her life tougher on set.
She said: “My first fitting for the season was about seven hours.
“You walk into a room and it’s just covered with fabric and colours and prints and designs. So much fun. We collaborate on every outfit, every scene. I mean every episode has about ten outfits, so it takes a lot of time to get those right.
“But it’s fun. It’s also really hard to wear that many layers sometimes and running around the streets in heels, especially after COVID, having worn sweatpants for a year and a half. Being comfortable and all of a sudden it’s, ‘Oh, fashion. What is that?'”

Penelope attended her first Chanel show in 1999 and she still has vivid memories of her early meetings with the designer.
She previously shared: “I remember a very special dinner we had at the Hotel Costes. My father was there and the way he treated my dad, how kind and respectful he was to my dad, even if they didn’t speak the same language, that always stayed with me.
“We all know he was a genius, but when you got to spend time with him, you discovered that other side, of kindness and sweetness. Over the last year working together with him, especially, we became close, we had a very strong connection. I loved all the conversations I would have with him, he knew so much about everything, and still had so much curiosity to keep on learning.”

The Super Bowl-winning star – who is married to model Gisele Bundchen – is launching his Brady brand online on January 12, and he’s hired a group of up-and-coming athletes to feature in the advertising campaign.

“They are hardworking and driven players in the early stages of their careers and each one of them embodies the spirit and ethos in which our brand was founded.”
Tom’s new line has been designed by Dao-Yi Chow, the creative director of Sergio Tacchini.
The NFL star has been working on the brand for three years, and it will be available in select Nordstrom stores in the US from January 19.
Meanwhile, Tom recently admitted that Gisele has had a big impact on his fashion sense.
However, the blonde beauty has suggested that he now likes clothes “more than she does”.
He explained: “It’s funny, Gisele always says I like clothes way more than she does. She has such great taste and an incredible eye for fashion in general, so of course she has impacted my style and overall fashion sense.”
Tom also admitted that he prefers to adopt a “classic” look.
He said: “The right outfit can really boost your confidence. But I think more important than anything, is to just be confident in whatever you choose to wear.
“I dress for the occasion and enjoy experimenting with clothes off the field. In general, classic is the look I’m always going for. I’m trying to look as cool as possible, but I’m the oldest guy in the locker room, so I can’t risk turning into a meme or something on social media.”

The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker also reflected on moving to London when she was 21, and the impact it had on her style.
The Australian star added: “That is when I got into club culture, and meeting designers – I’d be up and down Kings Road, because you didn’t have stylists, you went and did everything yourself!”

He explained: “I moved when I was 18, from my mum’s in the Forest of Dean.
“I started going out in my early 20s in East London to all the gay clubs that are now closed, but that was my real coming of age.”

Speaking via a video message, she said: “I think the constant I’ve always had and that I’ve always fought for is to not be boxed in, and to be able to really shapeshift and morph and grow and develop, and for that reason to be part of your Gamechangers Awards is very much meaningful to me.
“If that can be encouraging to anyone to follow their path and to enjoy that voyage of self-discovery, that’s just amazing.”
To help reconnect with the people and places we love, Kylie Minogue and Olly Alexander surprised 50 lucky fans at a secret Hilton concert in London.

Tess Holliday opens up on body dysmorphia battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Tess Holliday insisted it’s “OK to grieve your body” as she opened up on her body dysmorphia battle.
The 36-year-old model alleged earlier this year that her marriage to Nick Holliday was “abusive, unhealthy, and toxic”.
And she has just opened up about how she would “glamorise” how she looked in old photos from then, but she was actually going through a “deeply unhappy” period in her life.
Tess suffers with the mental health condition, BDD (Body Dysmorphia Disorder) – where people are obsessed with their appearance – and she explained how she spirals whenever she sees old images of herself online.
And as well as going through a toxic relationship, the catwalk beauty said she suffered her “most disordered eating” episode.
Tess posted on Instagram alongside snaps of her working out and various quotes about self-doubt: “My happy place w @soraconnor, working out and trying to stay present in my body without self-doubt or self-judgment.
“My body dysmorphia has been really trying me lately & when photos from previous years pop up while I’m scrolling through my phone, it causes me to spiral a bit.
“Then I have to check myself & ask: “Why are you really sad?” because I like how I looked there – but I was also in the throws of my most disordered eating, in an abusive relationship, and so deeply unhappy. (sic)”
Tess has accepted that her body doesn’t always “look or feel like me”, and she has never been “happier”.
She continued: “Now, my body is different but my heart is fuller. I smile a lot more these days, & I know y’all have noticed how much happier I am too. It takes work to look at old photos of a body I miss (it’s okay to grieve stages of your body) & see instead how unhappy I was back then instead of glamorizing those moments that were far from perfect. In the photos I take today, my body doesn’t always look or feel like ME, but the joy? The self love for WHO I am not how I look? That’s real. This is why I say that our sizes and weights don’t effect our worth, because bodies evolve, and moments fly by us so quickly. And I don’t want to waste a minute of my beautiful life because I’m worried about a new stretch mark. #effyourbeautystandards (sic)”

Kim Kardashian West ‘learned a lot’ from Kim Jones

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West “learned a lot” collaborating with Kim Jones.
The SKIMS founder has just launched the Fendi x SKIMS collection, and has recalled how “fun” it was working with the Italian luxury fashion house’s Artistic Director of womenswear – who took over the role from the late Karl Lagerfeld.
She gushed: “I love, love, love Kim Jones.
“He is the ultimate – the sweetest human being on the planet.”
The pair had to meet in Mexico for the first fitting session amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as it was the only place they could be together due to travel restrictions, but before then, Kim invited the fashion designer over to her home to rummage through her own Fendi pieces.
And they finished up in Rome, where Fendi HQ is.
She shared: “I remember him coming over to my house, and we were looking through all my old Fendi bags and clothes, and we had so much fun.
“It was so crazy – it was during the pandemic when the whole team couldn’t get in from Italy, but we had this fitting and we had to do it.
“So we met up in Mexico, as that was the only country we could get together and be in the same place.
“So we had a day in Mexico to do the first fitting, and then eventually a day in Rome for the final fitting.”
The 41-year-old reality star admitted she was blown away by how “magical” the process was.
She added to i-D magazine: “It was just so amazing to see how the team worked and how this all comes together.
“It was just so magical. It’s so fun to work with people that you love, respect, and admire, and are friends with. It makes it so much fun and so great. It just was such a fun experience. I learned a lot.”
The line reportedly made $1 million within 60 seconds of going live.
Among the sell-out items was the brown leather gown the brunette beauty wore and suffered a “little fashion emergency” in at the WSJ Innovator Awards, which is the most expensive item costing $4,200.

The 31-year-old star – who welcomed her daughter Ocean into the world with then-fiance Randall Emmett before their split last month – has opened up on her Give Them Lala Beauty company and why she decided to launch her own firm.
On Tuesday’s (14.12.21) episode of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ – which was filmed when they were still together – she said: “I started Give Them Lala because I wanted independence.
“I don’t ever want to be dependent on a man. [Randall] definitely bought my Birkin [bag], but that’s okay.”
Movie producer Randall, 50, worked with Lala to hire her first personal assistant, and the reality star revealed her pride in growing her brand.
She added: “I know it may look like I’m twiddling my thumbs and maxing out Randall’s credit card, but Give Them Lala Beauty has been around for five years.

Back in 2018, she said: “I met my dude, and I just fell head over feet. It was like, this is supposed to be this way.
“You can’t fake a relationship and love and passion, and especially protecting it the way I have. I feel like it is something to be admired, not something to be dragged through the mud.”

Gemma Chan describes her own ‘dramatic’ red carpet style

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Chan has described her red carpet style as “playful and sometimes dramatic”.
The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress has opened up on her style choices for glitzy showbiz events like the Oscars and Met Gala, and admitted it’s a departure from her “day-to-day” outfits.
She told WWD: “I would say my red carpet style is quite playful, and sometimes dramatic.
“I like to change it up a bit from event to event. But it’s a contrast in my day-to-day style, which is pretty laidback.”
Gemma is currently working with L’Oreal Paris on the annual Women of Worth initiative after signing up with the brand as an ambassador in November 2020.
She said: “I’m so proud to work with L’Oreal Paris because they have such a history of celebrating and uplifting women.
“I’m looking forward to being part of initiatives like Women of Worth, which I think just expands the idea of the tagline, ‘Because you’re worth it,’ or because we are worth — it goes far beyond something that’s just superficial or skin deep.”
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old star also wants to focus on girls’ education, noting it improves things “for everybody”.
She added: “I think an educated girl will uplift her community and uplift her family, and it’s all kind of interlinked.
“So the more we can do to give that power to girls and young women, the better it is for everybody.”

Machine Gun Kelly won’t wear gold nail polish

OHMYGOSSIP — Machine Gun Kelly would “never” wear gold nail polish.
The 31-year-old rapper-and-actor is known for his outlandish fingernail shapes and designs but he admitted he does draw a line somewhere when it comes to his manicures.
He said: “I like messing with the balance. I don’t like things to be still, I never was a fan of calm water, so I think I just do the same thing with my aesthetic.
“I would never wear gold polish. Unless it’s white gold.”
But MGK’s interest in nail art doesn’t extend to his toenails.
Asked about pedicures, he admitted: “I haven’t painted my toes but I get a lot of compliments on my feet.”
The musician – who recently launched a 10-shade genderless nail polish collection called Un/Dn Laqr – turned his attention to his hands when he ran out of space for tattoos and got bored with changing his hair colour.
He explained to Vogue.com: “I think boredom with accessories is what led me to nail art.
“When bracelets and rings became redundant to me, I was like, what else can I add? First it was tattoos and then once I tattooed my whole body I tattooed over my tattoos, then I dyed my hair a million colours.
“I started doing my nails because it was something I could change out really easily.”
However, the ‘Midnight in the Switchgrass’ actor – whose real name is Colson Baker – doesn’t keep his polish pristine for long.
He said: “I’m definitely a picker. Every time I’m in bed I’m like, it’s gotta go, so I pick it all off. It’s so satisfying.”
