Kate Moss returns for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2016 campaign

OHMYGOSSIP – Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell return to be the face of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2016 campaign, which they launched in 1996, with Mario Testino behind the campaigns photography. The iconic supermodels have returned to support the charity in its 20th anniversary, which they helped launch in 1996, and have partnered with the legendary fashion photographer Mario Testino to support the Breast Cancer Now in its latest campaign that launched today (12.04.16).

Speaking about the charity and the reason behind her return to support the organisation, Naomi said: “I never could have expected back in 1996 that I would go on to experience first-hand the harrowing effect this disease can have on individuals, families and loved ones. For the last twenty years Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has united us all – scientists, models, designers, mothers, photographers, retailers – as a powerful force against the disease.

“With 2016’s campaign, I’m honoured to stand with people across the UK, united in our belief that, together, we will win this fight.”

Whilst Mario, renowned for his Towel Series photo shoot, said: “When I was asked to photograph Fashion Targets Breast Cancer’s original faces, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, to mark its 20th anniversary I couldn’t say no. Sadly, we have all been affected by cancer at some point in our lives and there is nothing worse than knowing that a woman close to your heart has breast cancer. That is why this campaign is so important.”

The six-week campaign has unleash an exclusive collection hand-picked from high street retailers such as Marks and Spencer, Topshop, Blow, Laura Ashley and more stores, which will see 30 per cent of donations go towards research into the disease and to help reach their target of reducing the deaths to breast cancer in 2050 to zero.

Meanwhile, Kate added: “It’s great to be returning to support Fashion Targets Breast Cancer on this very special anniversary year. Since its UK launch in 1996, when I first appeared in the campaign poster, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer has gone on to impact so many lives by funding vital research into this devastating disease.”

The campaign has previously received support from fellow models Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, Georgia May Jagger, Twiggy, Abbey Clancy as well as the hitmaker Kylie Minogue and photographers Ellen von Unwerth, and Patrick Demarchelier.

Vanessa Williams launches affordable clothing line

OHMYGOSSIP – Vanessa Williams is launching her first fashion line on the Evine home shopping network. The 52-year-old actress has always been fascinated by fashion and is now planning to release her own collection – costing under $100 – on the Evine home shopping network.

She said: “This collection is a combination of me as a professional, me as a mother and what I wear for comfort around the house. It’s your urban look, it’s your suburban look, it’s your casual look, and it’s your glam look.”

The former Miss America was inspired to create a line after being repulsed by her own “bra fat and love handles.”

She explained to PEOPLE.com: “My friends and I complain about bra fat and loose arms. We’ve got a couple areas that we want to cover. Gone are the days when you’re 20 and you can just wear a little spaghetti strap thing and everything’s up and perky by itself.

“I’ve gone through my 30s, 40s, 50s and my body keeps changing with every decade. Yes, I’ve got bra fat and love handles. It’s a constant struggle. So, my view is don’t give up the fight, keep it moving, embrace where your body is going, and then dress accordingly. We don’t want to mask them and we don’t want to disappear in loads and loads of fabric and look like were wearing a muumuu. I want women to look the best they can. I love animal prints, greys, greens, khakis, and blues. I love that I got the chance to have a little colour–but nothing that’s multiple leopards on top of each other–or, really, anything too cougar.”

The collection is available from March 19, 2016.

Erin Heatherton struggles with her body image

OHMYGOSSIP – Erin Heatherton has admitted she has battled with insecurities about her figure because of the pressure put on her to be “perfect”, and it was these feelings that contributed to her decision to quit her job as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

The blonde model landed one of the most sought-after jobs in fashion when she became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2010, just two years after first walking for the lingerie giant.

Erin hung up her wings in 2012 after feeling the pressure of having to look perfect all the time and becoming stressed with worry about her figure, but since she made the decision to stop working for the company she has felt empowered.

The 27-year-old revealed her battle in an emotional post to her 695,000 followers on Instagram.

Along with a sultry photo of herself in fuschia underwear and a black tank top emblazoned with the logo ‘Empowered by Failure’, she wrote: “The breakdown to breakthrough moment in my life has allowed me to become the truest version of myself. In my moment of ‘failure’, I stood in the face of adversity. I was struggling with my body image and the pressures to fulfil the demands of perfectionism upon me. I am not perfect.

“Through this struggle, however, I found the strength to love myself. I stood in my power. I thought of one of my favorite quotes, ‘Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a men’s character, give him power’ – Abraham Lincoln.

“I look back on that moment now, and I embrace it. This feeling I once perceived as “failure” was, in truth, a powerful awakening for me to stand behind my purpose in life. I stepped away from hiding behind a fabricated version of myself. I no longer put actions behind my fears and insecurities. I made a choice to redirect my energy to be a catalyst for change. To create a channel for women to become the truest versions of themselves, along with me. (Stay tuned for more…) In the end, if you aren’t being true to yourself, then what the f*** is the point. #rebelwacause #empowerment#womensempowerment#empoweredbyyou (sic)”.

Erin made her breakthrough appearing in Diane Von Furstenberg’s catwalk show in 2006.

Vicky Pattison is new face of Ann Summers

OHMYGOSSIP – Vicky Pattison has reportedly become the new face of Ann Summers following her win on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ last year. The former ‘Geordie Shore’ star, who has raked in an impressive £1 million since she won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ last year, has reportedly been approached by the sexy firm to front their new raunchy lingerie campaign.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “It [the news] will be confirmed soon. She’s thrilled.”

The 28-year-old beauty sparked rumours she was teaming up with the British multinational retailer when she uploaded a photograph of her posing in one of the brand’s sex outfits.

Meanwhile, news the brunette babe has nabbed a gig with Ann Summers comes just a few days after she announced she was turning her back on Newcastle in order to set up home in Essex so she’s closer to London for work.

Taking to her Twitter account last week, she tweeted: “Big day… HUGE DAY FOR ME!!! New autobiography finally out AND my offer on my new property has just been accepted!! ESSEX HERE I COME!”

Mary Greenwell’s career stems from luck

OHMYGOSSIP – Mary Greenwell believes her talent didn’t help her career as it was purely down to luck. The 56-year-old celebrity make-up artist doesn’t rate herself as “extra talented” and believes the models she’s worked with over the years have helped carve out her career.

Speaking at the Glamour Beauty Festival in London’s Saatchi Gallery on Saturday (12.03.16), she said: “It came from those young girls – that is why we became who we are.

“It is nothing to do with being extra talented, let me confirm that. It was about being in the right place at the right time, as simple as that. The most important part of the story is I arrived in Paris in the spring of 1984, when all the supermodels were out.

“They were 16 and we were all there together, and I remember that summer just watching those girls grow in front of my eyes, and it was the most extraordinary thing. Out of that time came, which then established their careers in ’86, came this band of super hair and super makeup.”

Whilst giving a talk at the popular festival, which was presented by Fearne Cotton, Mary also spoke about the iconic 1992 cover shoot she worked on for Vogue.

The 100th anniversary special featured 10 supermodels – Christy Turlington, Lina Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Karen Muldern, Elaine Irwin, Miki Taylor, Yasmeen Ghauri, Claudi Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Tatjana Patitz.

She said: “The most interesting thing about that picture was actually seeing who was at the bottom and who was at the top – it was very interesting to see. They were all scrambling to be at the top. The only person who didn’t scramble to be at the top of the ladder was the divine Christie who must be the biggest heart in the world, and she was just put there. And Linda was desperate to be at the top.”
