Samantha Hanratty’s son will need surgery after birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Samantha Hanratty’s son will need multiple surgeries after he is born.
The ‘Yellowstone’ actress announced last month that she is pregnant with her first child, and now she’s revealed she and husband Christian DeAnda have been told their baby will be born with a cleft lip – which occurs when facial structures developing in an unborn child don’t close completely – and potentially a cleft palate.
She said in a video shared to TikTok: “I’ve been doing some updates on here and having a good time sharing these things with you and I thought I would share our latest update that our baby is going to have a cleft lip and a possible cleft palate.
“And at first the news was obviously shocking because it doesn’t run in my family, it doesn’t run in my husband’s family.
“And the biggest thing that we all want is that we want our kids to be happy and we want our kids to be healthy.”
Although the 29-year-old star found it tough when she was told the baby will need several surgeries soon after he is born, she is thankful to have a team of specialists to treat her little boy and is feeling “at peace”.
She said: “It’s still scary to think that your precious little baby is going to be going under anesthesia and that there’s going to be difficulties.
“I am already preparing for the fact that I will not be able to nurse. I will be pumping and doing formula and it’s been emotional, but I think that both me and my husband are at peace with the fact that we know that he’s going to be okay.
“This was just a little bit of a different journey than what we had expected. I’m not going to lie and pretend that this has been the easiest of news, but I’m also, like I said, just incredibly grateful for how fortunate we are.
“1 in 700 children are born with a cleft lip and/or palate and we’re praying that it’s just in the lip and not in palate, just because there’s more difficulties when it comes with closing things up and further surgeries. We’re prepared for either way.”
And Samantha admitted if she ever feels sad or worried about the news, her son “kicks me and reminds me that he’s fine and that he’s going to be okay.”

Jussie Smollett was ‘numb’ after being accused of staging hate crime on himself

OHMYGOSSIP — Jussie Smollett was “numb” when he was accused of staging a hate crime on himself.
The former ‘Empire’ actor was sentenced to 150 days in jail in March 2022 after being found guilty of lying about being a victim of a racist and homophobic attack and making a false police report in 2022, but still insisted he is innocent and initially believed there was “no way” the public would believe a “stupid rumour” spread by “haters”.
Jussie – who was released on bail six days into his sentence pending his ongoing appeal – told People magazine: “I was numb.
“I didn’t know how to connect the dots. I really genuinely did not know. I couldn’t make sense of what was going on, and I couldn’t make sense of what people were actually thinking … what exactly do they think happened? I couldn’t put two and two together…
“[The haters] had a mission. I felt very disconnected from that. I still to this day can’t entirely make sense of, ‘What the f*** was that?’ But obviously it was painful. I certainly am not going to sit here and try to act to the world as if I was fine…
“We’re still dealing with the repercussions from that narrative. We’re still dealing with that every day.”
The 42-year-old actor remembered his “darkest day” as being 21 February, 2019, when he was arrested.
He said: “That was a pretty dark day because that’s when everything clicked to me of what was happening.
“A lot of things tested my strength, a lot of things tested my mental, but the one thing I never lost — I never started thinking that I am somebody that I’m not. That is the one thing that did not happen.
“Keep in mind, I was deep in my thirties when this happened. This isn’t like I’m a 16 year old or a 20 year old, [where] this is impacting their very being of who they believe that they are. I never started thinking that I am somebody that I’m not.”
Despite his ongoing legal issues, the ‘Lost Holliday’ star doesn’t want to dwell on the situation or “victimise” himself.
He said: “I have to move forward. I must.
“I’m not going to sit here and victimise myself and be like ‘Woe is me,’ because there’s so many people that don’t have the platform or the resources that I have to protect themselves.
“I’m very well aware of my privilege in this situation. That’s why there’s a certain point where it’s just like, I can’t hold on to the pain.
“That’s why I’m blessed to continue on and make film and make music and do the things that I was put down here by God to do.”
However, Jussie admitted his new perspective “hasn’t always been easy to look at like that” as there were times he was “so mad and just so bitter”.
He added: “You got to look at those bad moments in your life and think, ‘Huh, if they were to make a two-hour film about my life when I’m done, that would probably be a seven-minute storyline at most’.
“All of the other things that you do in your life should be able to hopefully outweigh things that you went through that are really, really difficult.”

Kola Bokinni open to Ted Lasso return

OHMYGOSSIP — Kola Bokinni has pledged to return to ‘Ted Lasso’ if it’s revived.
The 32-year-old actor became a household name playing team captain Isaac McAdoo in the Apple TV+ comedy drama and although the show was meant to end for good after last year’s third season, it was reported last month that producers are keen to bring it back, and Kola is open to reprising his part.
He told The Big Issue magazine: “Whatever happens, I’ll be there for them, because they were there for me.”
While Kola acknowledged the programme has “done amazing things for [his] life”, he was initially hesitant about taking the role.
He said: “I was like, it’s a show about this American guy who comes over and tells us how to play football? But I’ve been playing football my whole life.”
Deadline recently reported that Warner Bros. Television has been considering a fourth season.
The studio has picked up the options on Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift, the three original cast members who were contracted under UK acting union Equity.
It’s expected to start reaching out to those contracted under SAG-AFTRA, including co-creators/executive producers Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hut, along with Juno Temple and others.
There is some confusion over whether Phil Dunster, who played likeable rogue Jamie Tart, will appear as he is currently working on both Prime Video’s ‘The Devil’s Hour’ and Apple’s ‘Surface’.
If contract negotiations with the actors are successful, early preparations are also being made to open a writers room with an option for an early 2025 start.
Co-creator Bill Lawrence previously insisted that new episodes of ‘Ted Lasso’ would be contingent on Sudeikis’ participation.
He told Collider: “Whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever his decision is, we’re all down with it. Not only is he the star, he’s the head writer, and he’s also the dude whose life just has to be completely overhauled and moved to a foreign country with young children.
“It’s a big deal. So, as a fan, if someone’s like, ‘Oh, it’s gonna happen again,’ I’ll go nuts. As a partner, I’m down for whatever he wants to do.”

Elizabeth Olsen has nightmares about being ‘shot and killed’ amid ‘random violence’ in US

OHMYGOSSIP — Elizabeth Olsen has nightmares where she is murdered.
The 35-year-old actress eloped with Robbie Arnett, 32, in 2019 and they now live in a rural part of northern California but she admitted that she has “died in a lot of dreams” and ends up thinking she is in “darkness” as she sleeps.
She told The Observer: “I’ve died in a lot of dreams. I’ve been shot in the head and killed. And it’s like, now I have cold blood rushing down my head, and it’s darkness.”
The ‘His Three Daughters’ star – who is the sister of former actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen – admitted that she feels “calm” whenever she leaves her home country and arrives in the UK because she is “always worried” about violence in the US, where laws on guns are a lot more relaxed.
She said: “I got in [to central London] last night and this morning, the immediate moment I stepped outside and had a coffee, I’m just calmed. We’re always worried about random acts of violence in the United States without even really processing that. And I know there’s violence everywhere, not everywhere is perfect, and there are certainly things to be angry about and to be scared of, but there’s just a calm I feel here.”
The ‘WandaVision’ star has dealt with her fair share of anxiety in the past and has had to learn how to find “some control” in how she deals with it.
She said: “’I’ve gone through phases of [anxiety]. No one talked panic attacks in the mid-2000s. I thought it meant you just write a list and check things off and get over it. I didn’t realise it was something you had no control over, but I had to figure out how to have some control.”

Sophie Turner wants to ‘discourage’ all parents from putting their kids into showbusiness

The 28-year-old actress – who has Willa, four, and two-year-old Delphine with estranged husband Joe Jonas – was a teenager when she landed the role of Sansa Stark on the HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’ but admitted that she doesn’t want her children to follow in her footsteps until they can “fully understand” what being famous means.
She told The Sunday Times: “I’d say to any parent if your child wants to get into the industry, wait until their frontal lobe has formed, which is 25. I would highly discourage them from getting into it before they can fully process what that means.”
The actress is now starring in the title role of the British drama ‘Joan’ and revealed her “struggles” with being a single mother as she compared herself to her character, which follows a woman who tries to start a new life with her daughter when her partner goes on the run.
She said: “It’s such a struggle being a single mother. Joan doesn’t go about it in the best way … but it is amazing to see her really fighting for her daughter. It’s also really important for kids to see just how hard parents work for them.”
Earlier this month, a judge ruled Sophie’s marriage to former Disney Channel star Joe, 35, was “irretrievably broken” and agreed to waive the final 20-day waiting period to dissolve the union and declare them both single.
According to PEOPLE, the documents stated: “The marriage between the parties is dissolved and the parties are restored to the status of being single.”
The terms of the settlement remain confidential, but he documents state the agreement is “in the best interests of the parties and this family.”

Riley Keough reveals ‘hope’ for the future following the death of her mother Lisa Marie Presley

OHMYGOSSIP — Riley Keough wants to continue the Graceland legacy.
The 35-year-old actress is the granddaughter of the late Elvis Presley and the daughter of singer Lisa Marie Presley – who died in 2023 at the age of 54 following a sudden cardiac arrest – and admitted that her wish for the future is to preserve the mansion where her family members are buried.
She told People: “My hope is to continue what my grandmother [Priscilla Presley] did, and then my mother did, which is simply to preserve our family home.”
Graceland is located in Memphis, Tennessee, and was always the home base of the ‘Hound Dog’ legend throughout his fame, but now welcomes 600,000 visitors every year as a tourist attraction.
The ‘Daisy Jones and the Six ‘ actress – whose father is musician Danny Keough – recently decided to complete her late mother’s memoirs and, with the mammoth task, had decided to go on a mission to go “beneath” how the late star had been portrayed through her years in the spotlight. In
She said: “Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, she was constantly talked about, argued over and dissected.
“What she wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope I’ve done in finishing it for her, is to go beneath the magazine headline idea of her and reveal the core of who she was. To turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatized, joyous, grieving — everything that she was throughout her remarkable life. I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.”
In order to construct ‘From Here to the Great Unknown’, Riley had to listen back to her mother’s voice on old recordings and admitted she was “so afraid” to do so to begin with.
She said: “I was so afraid to hear my mother’s voice — the physical connection we have to the voices of our loved ones is profound. I decided to lie in my bed because I know how heavy grief makes my body feel.
“I began listening to her speak.
“It was incredibly painful but I couldn’t stop. It was like she was in the room, talking to me. I instantly felt like a child again and I burst into tears.
“My mommy. The tone of her voice.”

Lewis Hamilton has struggled with depression since he was a teenager: ‘I would like to find help…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lewis Hamilton has struggled with depression since he was a teenager.
The 39-year-old sports star has enjoyed great success with his career as a racecar driver for Formula One but admitted that the “pressures” of trying to make it in his field from a young age had left him with a string of mental health challenges.
He told The Sunday Times: “Depression. From a very early age, when I was, like, 13. I think it was the pressure of the racing and struggling at school. The bullying. I had no one to talk to.”
Lewis also noted that he once tried to seek professional help about his issues, but admitted that it didn’t help much and he is keen to try again with the idea of talking to a therapist.
He said: “I spoke to one woman, years ago, but that wasn’t really helpful. I would like to find someone today.”
In an attempt to tackle his problems alone, Lewis often takes himself on silent retreats and reads self-help books.
He added: “You’re learning about things that have been passed down to you from your parents, noticing those patterns, how you react to things, how you can change those. So what might have angered me in the past doesn’t anger me today. I am so much more refined.”
In terms of physicality, Lewis insisted that he is in the best condition he has been in his whole life and has no intention of retiring from the track just yet.
He said: “Honestly, right now I feel I’m healthier than I’ve ever been. I’m in such a good place, physically and mentally. My reaction times are still quicker than the young guys. I think I’m a better driver than I was at 22.
“I was just young, energetic and ruthless, but no finesse, no balance. I didn’t know how to be a team player, how to be a leader. Being a good racing driver, it’s not just about being fast, it’s about being the most rounded. When I study the legends, they’re spread between small percentages, so it’s the whole package — what do they speak for, stand for? — that’s what I look at. I look to Ayrton Senna and Nelson Mandela, and those are the two people gelled together that I want to be.”

The 40-year-old star Taylor, 13, and son Braydon, eight, with her first husband Tarek El Moussa, as well as four-year-old Hudson with former husband Ant Antstead, but following her divorce from Josh Hall after two years of marriage, her former ‘Flip Or Flop’ co-host Tarek, 43, has shared a positive update.
He told E! News: “Christina is doing great. She has the support of her family, she has the kids and she’s working her tail off.”
The reality star split from her third husband at the onset of the summer and she recently shared how the split had left her unable to eat for weeks until she found comfort in the love of her children.
She wrote on her Instagram Stories: “One month later … I finally have my appetite back. I’m exercising again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home. ‘Those poor kids’ adore me … anyone who knows us for real knows this and that’s what matters.”

Josh “voluntarily left” their Southern California home and it’s said he “never wanted to be famous” in the first place.
A source told Us Weekly: “Josh is sad that the marriage ended this way, but he’s excited to move forward. He voluntarily moved his belongings from his and Christina’s jointly owned property. He never wanted to be famous. This was always for Christina, and he’s happy to go back to living life as he wanted to live it.”
Josh insisted that he preferred “privacy” – especially at such a “life-changing” time.
The HGTV star accused Josh of taking $35,000 of her own money, and took to Instagram to hint there had been problems in their relationship for some time.
Christina wrote on Instagram in a white font on a black screen: “Over here waiting for the typical Hired PR rep speech of ‘how I was blind-sided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch …………. Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be …..”

Riley Keough finishes mother Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir: ‘I want to reveal who she really was…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Riley Keough wants to “reveal the core” of who her mother Lisa Marie Presley was.
The late singer – who died in January 2023 at the age of 54 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest – was the daughter of music legend Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla, and now her daughter Riley, 35, has decided to finish her mother’s memoir that she never got the chance to complete.
She told People: “Because my mother was Elvis Presley’s daughter, she was constantly talked about, argued over and dissected. What she wanted to do in her memoir, and what I hope I’ve done in finishing it for her, is to go beneath the magazine headline idea of her and reveal the core of who she was.
“To turn her into a three-dimensional human being: the best mother, a wild child, a fierce friend, an underrated artist, frank, funny, traumatised, joyous, grieving, everything that she was throughout her remarkable life. I want to give voice to my mother in a way that eluded her while she was alive.
“The tapes are an incredible portrait of the force of nature that she was.
“Depending on the day and her mood, she can sound locked-in or distracted, vulnerable and open or annoyed and closed off, hopeful, angry, everything. You hear her in all her complications.”
The ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ actress – whose father is actor Danny Keough – just wants fans to be able to relate to ‘From Here To The Unknown’ and understand that, as her mother wished, that they are not alone no matter what their trials and tribulations in life.
She said: “I hope that in an extraordinary circumstance, people relate to a very human experience of love, heartbreak, loss, addiction and family. [My mom] wanted to write a book in the hopes that someone could read her story and relate to her, to know that they’re not alone in the world. Her hope with this book was just human connection. So that’s mine.”

Katy Perry tries to support new pop stars as she recalls her own struggles in early days of fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry tries to support new pop stars with their rise to fame.
The 39-year-old singer acknowledged that social media wasn’t really as prominent as it is now when she first found fame with her debut single ‘I Kissed A Girl’ in 2008 but still had a lot to “protect” herself from so she makes the effort reach out to younger stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan as they experience success on a global scale.
Speaking on Australian talk show ‘The Project’, she said: “When I see them, when we cross paths, we talk about it and I do reach out to them. I think their journey now is more unique than what I went through in 2008 when I started. There wasn’t social media, there weren’t eight billion voices speaking all at once.
“There was still a lot to see and hear and protect yourself from but I think you have to depend on your tools even more so these days and so I tell all the girls that I’m here, I love you, I’ve got you whatever. If you want a tea, I’ll be here forever.”
In her own early days on the music scene, the ‘Lifetimes ‘ hitmaker found something of a friend in Madonna after she brought her song ‘Ur So Gay’ to public attention and admitted that whenever she meets fans these days, she tries to think carefully about how she acts towards them because she could leave an impression on them forever.
She said: “Madonna was really nice to me. It took a minute because she was testing me and then she became super nice to me. She actually shouted out my song and that was really the beginning of my career, that’s kind of what started to break me. I got to meet Gwen Stefani, she was so nice. And I just remember the moments that I meet my heroes, and I really think about that when I’m meeting someone.
“That might be the only interaction that we ever have, and people might not remember what you say but people will always remember how you make them feel so that is very instilled inside of me.”

Kelly Brook’s ex stopped her from going to a party thrown by Diddy: ‘He was looking out for me…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook’s ex-boyfriend stopped her from going to a party thrown by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The 54-year-old rap mogul – who was arrested earlier this month on sex trafficking charges and is facing a number of separate civil suits – has been accused by prosecutors of arranging so-called “freak off” parties, and now supermodel Kelly, 44, has claimed that a former boyfriend forbade her from attending one several years ago.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, Kelly – who is now married to 39-year-old Jeremy Parisi – said: “In my younger years, I was pursued by older men and ended up in relationships with older men.
“There was a particular actor that I dated many, many years ago that was very protective of me.
“I’ve spoken to Jeremy about this a lot because it’s still relevant now. I got invited to one of those Sean Combs – Puff Daddy – parties many, many years ago and my boyfriend at that time said ‘You’re not going to that’.
“He was a very well-known actor who had been in the industry for a very long time.”
The ‘One Big Happy’ star actually thought that her former boyfriend was being “controlling” at the time with his actions but has since come to realise that
he was acting in her best interest.
She said: “I took it as him being very possessive, and controlling and not wanting me to have fun and I was like ‘Why can’t I go? Everyone goes to these parties!’ and he said I wasn’t going to go. Nothing more was said about it, and I didn’t go. Years later, I found the invite in his drawer. He was looking after me.”
Meanwhile, Diddy is currently behind bars in Brooklyn and will likely remain there until he stands trial in his sex trafficking case after being denied bail twice.
He pleaded not guilty to allegations of sex trafficking last Tuesday (17.09.24).
The rapper appeared at a court in Manhattan after being charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Asked during a court hearing how he pleaded to the charges, Combs replied: “Not guilty.”

Good mental health is a necessity, says Prince Harry

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry believes good mental health is a “necessity” – not a “luxury”.
The 40-year-old royal – who has been candid about his own mental health issues over the years – believes it’s important to “talk openly about our mental health without fear of judgement”.
Speaking at the United Nations in New York City, Harry explained: “Good mental health, mental fitness, is not a luxury – it is a necessity for every single one of us. More so, perhaps, for our decision makers and those sitting in positions of power and influence.
“Addressing this issue requires not only global action, but also the courage to break the stigma, to talk openly about our mental health without fear of judgement.”
Harry recently urged politicians to take a hands-on approach to tackling the mental health crisis.
The prince said: “Surely one of the solutions here is for governments to implement, or at least find people – young people like yourselves – and bring them into decision making, policy-making situations, before the problems exist.
“We’re very good at creating problems for ourselves to try and solve, but surely by bringing young people in at the early stages … surely that is where the difference is going to be made.
“Why is that not happening?”
Harry also observed that courage is needed to tackle the mental health crisis.
He said: “Every single one of us needs courage in order to really move the dial and create positive change in today’s world, probably more so now than ever.
“Now we need to listen, constantly listen, and then act on the advice and the vision that you have because otherwise it’s your future that’s being stolen from you and that is unacceptable.”

Micaela Diamond loved working with Travis Kelce

OHMYGOSSIP — Micaela Diamond had a “great time” working with Travis Kelce on ‘Grotesquerie’.
The 34-year-old sports star appears alongside Micaela in the horror series, and the 25-year-old actress has revealed that she relished the experience of working with Travis.
She told E! News: “I had a great time working with Travis. I think he’s such a dear.”
Micaela noted that ‘Grotesquerie’ represents a landmark moment for both of them.
Micaela – who has already enjoyed significant success on Broadway – explained: “This my first big TV show and it’s also his. So we were just the newbies on set, trying to soak in all of the information from these veteran actors.”
‘Grotesquerie’ was co-created by Ryan Murphy and the acclaimed producer recently admitted that he’s been “moved” by Travis’ ambition.
Ryan, 58 – who previously created shows such as ‘Glee’ and ‘American Horror Story’ – told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I was just moved by him and his ambition and he wanted to try it and he’s a guy who likes to do new things.”
Ryan didn’t really know Travis before casting him in the series. However, he didn’t have any hesitations about working with the Super Bowl-winning sports star.
Ryan shared: “It was very unexpected.
“I did not know Travis, and I thought we were just having a general meeting.”
Ryan ultimately wrote a part specifically for Travis and he loved working with the NFL star.
Ryan said: “We had a ball, and he’s just the most delightful person.”
Travis was initially nervous about acting – but he was thoroughly professional in his approach.
Ryan explained: “He showed up off-book. He knew all his lines, he knew all Niecy [Nash-Betts]’s lines. And he was a little nervous at first – as, I mean, I would be too.”

Lainey Wilson: I needed a thick skin to cope with fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Lainey Wilson has become “thicker-skinned” since finding fame.
The 32-year-old singer has admitted that she’s been forced to adapt to the pressures of fame and success.
She told Us Weekly: “I’ve definitely become thicker-skinned, which I’m proud of, because for a minute, I did let it get to me.
“I’m human and I’m a songwriter. I think words are powerful – that’s why I started writing songs to begin with.”
Lainey has had to learn how to cope with external criticism of herself and her music.
She shared: “You’ll read something negative and it kind of pings your heart for a minute. You have to pull yourself up by the bootstraps and keep on going.”
Lainey has more than 2.7 million followers on Instagram and she’s “learned [her] lesson” about reading the comments on her social media posts.
The ‘Things a Man Oughta Know’ hitmaker explained: “You’ll look at a hundred positive [ones] and then you see that one negative, and that’s the one that you’re gonna hold onto.”
Meanwhile, Lainey previously claimed that country music has become “cool” once again.
The singer believes country music is on the rise and she was thrilled that Beyonce decided to follow the trend by releasing her own country-influenced album, ‘Cowboy Carter’, earlier this year.
Lainey told ‘Extra’: “It’s really exciting to see how the country genre is growing so much.
“It’s not just that, it’s honestly the Western way of life. I feel like everybody wants to feel at home, everybody wants to feel grounded.
“When you get on the back of a horse or when you’re out with your feet in the dirt or when you’re listening to a country song, the truth is you feel at home.”
