OHMYGOSSIP — Shailene Woodley credits Kate Winslet for helping her to remain grounded.
The 32-year-old actress worked with the Oscar-winning star on ‘Divergent’ in 2014 and ‘Insurgent’ in 2015, and Shailene still appreciates the advice she was given by Kate.
During an appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’, Shailene shared: “She’s so, not to overuse the word real, but she’s just real. She is who she is, and she’s not afraid to be who she is. And she’s done the hard work.”
Kate’s advice helped Shailene to deal with the pressures of fame and success.
She reflected: “I was 21. I had all, you know, the influx of public life and being told ‘you should look a certain way’ or ‘you should be a certain thing’ or ‘don’t eat that’ or ‘do this’ or ‘dye your hair a different colour.'”
Shailene believes that Kate’s advice ultimately changed the course of her life and her career.
The Hollywood star explained: “She gave me that moment. And I wouldn’t – I would not be who I am today without her.”
Similarly, Kate recently revealed that Dame Emma Thompson has always been “protective” of her.
The 65-year-old actress starred alongside Kate in a 1995 adaptation of ‘Sense and Sensibility’, and Kate has always paid close attention to the advice of her former co-star.
Speaking at the 92NY Center for Culture and Arts in New York City, Kate shared: “[Emma] has a groundedness and a clarity of perception about the industry as a whole.
“She was quite sort of protective of me.”
Emma actually expressed her concern for Kate after she starred in ‘Titanic’, a role that changed her life.
Kate recalled: “I think she was actually just [a] bit worried like – you know, not, ‘is Kate gonna go off the rails?’ ’cause clearly that wasn’t in my personality – but just that it [can] be very overwhelming and what was I gonna do?
“She did say to me … just remember, it’s equally as important not to work as it’s to work. And I have never forgotten that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Foo Fighters have cancelled a show after Dave Grohl recently revealed that he welcomed a baby outside of his marriage.
The chart-topping band have taken to social media to announce that they will “no longer be appearing” at Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the band said: “FOO FIGHTERS WILL NO LONGER BE APPEARING AT THIS WEEKEND’S SOUNDSIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL. PLEASE CHECK THE FESTIVAL WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION (sic)”
The Foo Fighters haven’t cited a specific reason for cancelling their planned appearance at the festival.
However, earlier this month, Dave confirmed that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage.
The 55-year-old musician vowed to “regain” the trust of his family after sharing the news via social media.
Dave – who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003 – wrote on Instagram at the time: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
The Foo Fighters star has three daughters – Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, ten – with Jordyn, and Dave previously admitted that they’ve had a huge influence on him and his songwriting.

The Oscar-winning star turned 80 on Wednesday (25.09.24), and Bono marked the occasion by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ with the help of the actor’s wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
In a video posted on Instagram, the U2 star is seen holding a birthday cake while he and Catherine – who has been married to the actor since 2000 – both sing ‘Happy Birthday’.
Alongside the video, Michael wrote on Instagram: “What a lovely gift! Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes and messages! We love you all! [heart, cake and party emojis] @catherinezetajones @u2 (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet’s son “cried a lot” when he watched ‘Titanic’ for the first time.
The 48-year-old actress starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1997 film, and Kate now has revealed that her ten-year-old son, Bear, was reduced to tears when he watched the movie in 2023.
The Oscar-winning star told E! News: “My youngest has seen ‘Titanic’, he saw it last year. He cried a lot, and he kept having to pause it, and he was very upset.”
By contrast, Kate revealed that her two oldest children – Mia and Joe – are fans of one of her movies in particular.
The actress said: “My older two, who are nearly 24 and 21 they love ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’. Yeah, that’s a big favourite for them.”

The 31-year-old rap star has claimed that she’s simply “too good” for her ex-partner.
Cardi – who has Kulture, six, Wave, three, and another child, who was born in August, with Offset – said on Instagram: “I regret you. I’m too good for you. I’ve always been too good for you.”
The chart-topping star – who married Offset in 2017 – also acknowledged that their break-up has been acrimonious.
She said: “Since you wanna f****** threaten me, talking about you wanna take my s***, you wanna take my s*** because I’m moving on? Move on. Move on. Why can’t you move on?”
Cardi also hinted that their legal battle could become very bitter in the coming weeks and months.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York thinks “we need to amplify [the] voices” of young people.
The 64-year-old duchess is the Founding Ambassador for the Youth Impact Council – a new non-profit organisation designed to amplify the voices of youth activists making an impact in climate action – and she firmly believes that young people need to be listened to.
The duchess – who has Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, with her ex-husband Prince Andrew – told PEOPLE: “There are young people at work who aren’t being listened to enough by people who can make change for them. And so I think we need to amplify their voices and execute their wishes.
“They have the solutions – if only grown-ups would ask them, ask Gen Z, for the solutions they have in these youth leadership positions.”
The duchess has always valued the opinions of young people, and she is really passionate about the Youth Impact Council and what the organisation can achieve.
She shared: “It’s almost, this is the university of life for me to be learning from young people that are actually out there doing the work.”
The Duchess – who has been involved with several charities over the years – has actually learned a lot from listening to her own children.
She said: “It’s like Beatrice and Eugenie are out there doing the work.
“Eugenie does a lot with The Anti-Slavery Collective, Beatrice does an enormous amount in technology and with dyslexia and really believes in humanity in the workplace, with compassion.
“I believe that all those values, I was able to help guide them into this place they are, is what I’m going to bring to the youth leaders of Gen Z.”

The 54-year-old rap star is currently awaiting trial on federal sex crime charges, and Marc Agnifilo, his attorney, has confirmed that the hip-hop mogul plans to testify during the hearing.
In a clip from the TMZ documentary ‘The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment’, Agnifilo said: “I don’t know that I could keep him off the stand. I think he is very eager to tell his story.”
Combs recently pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Agnifilo has also suggested that his client will address video footage of him appearing to assault Cassie Ventura, his ex-partner, in a hotel back in 2016.
Agnifilo said: “I think he will tell every part of his story, including what you see on the video.”
Earlier this month, Combs appeared at a court in Manhattan after being charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Asked during a court hearing how he pleaded to the charges, Combs replied: “Not guilty.”
The rapper’s lawyers subsequently requested that Combs be freed on bond, pending trial, after paying a sum of $50 million.
However, following a lengthy debate between legal teams on whether Combs represents a flight risk, Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky announced that the rap star will remain in detention until his sex trafficking trial begins.
Agnifilo said later that the music star is determined to “establish his innocence”.
Agnifilo told reporters outside the court: “He’s going to fight this. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence.
“We believe in him wholeheartedly. He didn’t do these things. There’s no coercion and no crime.”

The 59-year-old singer was left with nerve damage to her vocal cords after contracting Lyme disease in 2004 and in 2018, she underwent an operation to help her sing again and she’s admitted that being able to perform again made her ignore her fears about getting back on stage because she regained so much pleasure from being able to do it again.
She told People magazine: “It was really about my throat surgery. I lost my voice, my singing voice, for several years. Regaining that [and] having to go through open-throated surgery to get it back reset my reality.
“When you realise that you have another chance at something that you love, you take it and you put fear aside to do it — and that’s what I did.”
And the ‘You’re Still The One’ hitmaker credited “the voice” and “the desire to never give up” got her through the difficult open throat surgery.
Meanwhile, Shania loves every “creative” element of the music industry, even if fans don’t always understand or appreciate how many different aspects of her career she’s involved in.
She said: “The creative element of the industry. love new songwriting. I love design and production.
“There’s so much more that goes into being an artist than just standing on the stage and singing — even though, of course, that’s a very bug part.

The 39-year-old singer – who went public with her new romance earlier this month – is believed to have tied the knot on Thursday (26.09.24) in Des Allemandes, Louisiana where Dufrene takes visitors out on boat tours of the swamps.
Pictures obtained by DailyMail.com show the ‘Summertime Sadness’ star wearing a long white dress and holding a bouquet of flowers as she’s walked down the aisle by her father Robert Grant.
Jeremy wore a black suit and his bride added a blue ribbon to her hair before heading to the reception, which is said to have been held by the water along the public harbour with white tents and tables set up on the grass.
The publication reports Lana’s sister Caroline Grant and brother Charlie Hill-Grant were among the guests at the ceremony on Thursday.
It is Lana’s first marriage while it marks Jeremy’s second trip down the aisle.
News of the wedding comes shortly after TMZ.com reported Lana and Jeremy had obtained a marriage licence in Louisiana.
The couple were first linked in August when they were seen holding hands at the Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK, and they later went public with their love affair when they attended Karen Elson’s wedding in New York City earlier this month alongside pals including Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The 34-year-old star – whose real name is Colson Baker – revealed in August he had stopped taking drugs and hadn’t drank alcohol for a year, and explained he needed to “zoom out” and focus on the “generational curses” that he needed to address in order to get clean.
He told People magazine: “I had to zoom out and take a look at myself from a holistic perspective.
“I was born on the 22nd. Twenty-two is a master number. What am I here to master? I had to ask myself that question.
“What were my generational curses and problems that were passed down on to me and to my father? Rest in peace.”
The ‘Emo Girl’ hitmaker – who has 13-year-old daughter Casie with former partner Emma Cannon and is in a relationship with Megan Fox – found clarity by understanding it is his “job to be a good man”.
He added: “I find solace in knowing that I can, you know, punish myself today so that I can forgive myself tomorrow.
“I have a daughter who I love with all of my heart and would die for. And I have a beautiful family and a beautiful group of friends and a beautiful life to live for. And I’m not in a haze anymore to not realise that.”
The ‘Lonely Road’ singer previously explained he went to rehab following his European tour in 2023 but kept it secret at the time.
He said on the ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast: “I didn’t tell anybody outside of the [people] closest to me.
“That was my first time I ever went to rehab. They just gave me so many ways to operate the body and show where this anger is coming from and methods to quell it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Marie Presley “always worried” about her dad Elvis Presley and was plagued by fears about him dying.
The singer lost her famous father in 1977 when she was just nine years old and now her posthumous memoir ‘From Here to the Great Unknown’ has revealed she spent much of her childhood worrying about her dad.
In an excerpt from the book – published by PEOPLE – Lisa wrote: “I was always worried about my dad dying. Sometimes I’d see him and he was out of it. Sometimes I would find him passed out. I wrote a poem with the line, ‘I hope my daddy doesn’t die’.”
In the book – due to be published in October less than two years since Lisa’s death in January 2023 – she also wrote about the joy she felt seeing her father perform on stage.
Lisa wrote: “Going to his shows was my favourite thing in the world. I was so proud of him. He would take me by the hand and bring me out onstage, then get walked to wherever his place was on the stage, and I would be taken from him and brought to wherever I was going to be sitting in the audience. Usually with [Elvis’ father] Vernon.
“The electricity of those shows. There’s nothing I’ve felt that’s been even close to that feeling, ever. Electrifying is such a generic word, but it really is what it felt like. I loved watching him perform.
“I had certain songs that I liked – ‘Hurt,’ and ‘How Great Thou Art.’ I would ask him to sing those songs for me and he would always say yes.”
Lisa had been working on ‘From Here To The Unknown’ when she died in January 2023 and it was finished by her daughter Riley Keough, who used her mother’s audio recordings to piece together the rest of the book.
She has admitted she was initially “afraid” to listen to the recordings the singer had made of her memories from over the years.
In an extract from the book’s introduction published by People magazine, she wrote: “Days and weeks and months of grief drifted by. Then I got the tapes of the memoir interviews she’d done. I was in my house, sitting on the couch. My daughter was sleeping.
“I was so afraid to hear my mother’s voice – the physical connection we have to the voices of our loved ones is profound. I decided to lie in my bed because I know how heavy grief makes my body feel.
“I began listening to her speak. It was incredibly painful but I couldn’t stop. It was like she was in the room, talking to me. I instantly felt like a child again and I burst into tears. My mommy. The tone of her voice.”
‘From Here to the Great Unknown’ is released on October 8.

OHMYGOSSIP — Rupert Everett wanted to wear a tracksuit to his wedding but he “wasn’t allowed”.
The 65-year-old actor married his long-term boyfriend, Henrique, a Brazilian accountant, in May at a ceremony at Camden Town Hall in London and he’s now revealed he struggled to find something to wear for their big day because most of his suits no longer fit him but his idea to wear a tracksuit was quickly dismissed.
Rupert told The Times newspaper: “I have a big tummy. [I wanted to wear a tracksuit] because none of my suits fit me any more. But I wasn’t allowed. So I wore a suit with my tummy pulled in but also overflowing.”
The couple have been together for 14 years and Rupert revealed they met at the gym and it took two years of “smouldering” glances before they actually got together.
He said: “It took a long time of being nearby and the smouldering looks you are not allowed to do any more, because people would find it upsetting. I’m quite blind, so my smouldering looks tend to be overdone. It took at least two years of smouldering looks. He required a lot of persuading.”
The couple split their time between a home in London and a house in Wiltshire which they share with his mother, who suffers from dementia.
Rupert added to the publication: “After my dad died, I came back to England [from America] and she wanted to stay where she was living but couldn’t figure it out financially. So we moved in but not together. We divided it. She lives in one bit and I live in the other.
“This way, you can keep things going and make sure everything is all right. She’s got dementia. She doesn’t move very much. We have lunch every day. But it’s worked out really well.
“She has a carer and it hasn’t worried her at all to lose her memory. She just watches television all day long. She had a fall a couple of years ago that set her back and that’s it – she just sits there.”
Rupert added that his mum is still able to remember her loved ones but struggles to retain the names of new people she meets.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blac Chyna’s ex-boyfriend has accused her of abusing him multiple times during their three-year relationship.
Twin Hector has filed a domestic violence lawsuit against the 36-year-old model, in which he alleged she physically and verbally attacked him, and claimed she was prone to violent outbursts, particularly when drunk.
In documents obtained by People magazine, the 27-year-old rapper – who dated Chyna from August 2020 until March 2023 – accused his former partner of “often” threatening to kill him and subjecting him to a “vicious attack” while he slept in September 2021, leaving him with multiple injuries after he sustained “multiple closed-fisted punches, elbow blows, and knee kicks to his body and face.”
Twin declared he was “virtually blinded by the blows to his eyes,” and had blood dripping down his face, and when Chyna saw his injuries, she called her personal doctor.
He stated the doctor recommended he see a plastic surgeon, an ophthalmological surgeon, a neurologist and a psychiatrist to tend to his wounds.
Twin moved in with Chyna and her children King, 11, and seven-year-old Dream shortly after they started dating but according to court documents, he soon found she “would regularly drink alcohol and use other drugs, to excess,” and that when she was under the influence, she would become “physically violent and verbally threatening and abusive” towards him “for no apparent reason.”
He accused her of punching shoving, slapping and kicking him but he “would always do his best to avoid the blows” and restrain Chyna, as he cared for her and wanted her to get help.
The rapper claimed the ‘Rob + Chyna’ star often wouldn’t remember her attacks after she had sobered up the morning after or would offer an apology.
The suit added: “At no point did [Chyna] ever show sincere remorse to [Twin] or, on his suggestion, seek medical and/or psychological treatment for her propensity for violence.”
Twin alleged Chyna “has had violence and anger issues resulting from her abuse of alcohol for many years, and that the primary victims of such violence and abuse are the partners with whom she is in intimate relationships”, and while he urged her to seek help, she refused and blamed him for “not mechanically abiding by her every instruction or demand.”
The rapper claimed the alleged abuse left him with PTSD and severe insomnia and his injuries during their relationship included a broken nose, nerve damage, daily headaches, whiplash and deep cuts on his face.
The lawsuit added: “Hopefully, this lawsuit will convince [Chyna] to get help and that no man (or woman) is above the law, especially when it comes to domestic violence.
“[Twin] sincerely hopes that [Chyna’s] damaging acts or omissions as alleged in this complaint never occur, to anyone, ever again.”
Dream’s father, Rob Kardashian, previously testified in court that Chyna – who celebrated two years of sobriety earlier this month – had tried to strangle him with an iPhone cord, hit him with a six-foot metal rod and pointed an unloaded gun at him.
His former fiancee later claimed in court she was just “being funny.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lance Bass has disliked Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs ever since the music mogul told Justin Timberlake to ditch NSYNC and go solo.
The pop star has opened up about his encounters with the rapper – who is currently behind bars awaiting trial on federal sex crime charges – revealing he has distrusted him ever since he took his bandmate Justin to one side and urged him to launch a solo career.
During an appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live’, Lance told host Andy Cohen: “It’s kinda horrible, but never kinda liked him because the very last [NSYNC] show in Orlando, I overheard him talking to Justin being like, ‘You need to drop these f******! You need to go solo!’
“I was like, ‘I don’t like you anymore Diddy.’ I’m like, ‘At my own show? What the hell?'”
After concluding NSYNC’s ‘PopOdyssey Tour’ in 2001, the band went on hiatus and Justin recorded his first solo album ‘Justified’ which was released in 2002.
The band recently got back together to record a new song called ‘”Better Place’ for the ‘Trolls Band Together’ movie and their 2000 track ‘Bye Bye Bye’ surged back up the charts after it was featured in this summer’s blockbuster ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ while they also performed together at a chairty show in Los Angeles in March.
When asked about the prospect of a full reunion, Lance told Cohen their plans are finally starting to come together but fans will have to wait a little longer until anything is confirmed.
He explained: “I can finally say we’re in talks now … With the ‘Trolls’ and the ‘Deadpool’ movie, it’s really a fever pitch right now.
“We’d be stupid not to do something. Just hold your breath just a little longer. It’s gonna take a little time, but I think something’s coming.”
