OHMYGOSSIP — Gavin Creel has been hailed as a “prince”.
The ‘American Horror Stories’ actor, 48, died on Monday (30.09.24) two months after being diagnosed with cancer, following a career that saw him carve a career as a beloved Broadway star.
Among the tributes that poured in to Gavin in the wake of news breaking of his death was one from performing arts institute the New York City Center, which posted on X: “We lost our prince. The New York City Center and ‘Encores!’ family is devastated by the death of Gavin Creel today.
“The world has less light.”
And LGBTQ support group GLAAD issued a statement in his memory that said: “We’re devastated to hear about the passing of Gavin Creel, the out actor and Broadway star who delighted audiences throughout the years.
“He was a co-founder of Broadway Impact, an advocacy group that mobilized the New York theatre community in the pursuit of marriage equality.
“In 2010, Creel accepted the Special Recognition Award for Hair at the GLAAD Media Awards. Our hearts go out to everyone who knew and loved him.”
Gavin’s death was confirmed on Monday by his partner Alex Temple Ward, and his family asked for gifts or donations in his memory be made to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids cause.
Gavin, known to TV fans for playing Troy Winslow on ‘American Horror Stories’, had Sarcoma – a cancer that which forms in connective tissue including bones and muscle.
He was diagnosed in July and had been getting treatment at New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering.
The actor landed a Tony Award nomination after his debut as a lead in the 2002 production of ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’.
He got another nomination for his performance in ‘Hair’ before he earned a Laurence Olivier Award for playing Elder Price in the West End version of ‘The Book of Mormon’.

The singer, 31, made the admission when she sat down to reveal her beauty tactics while sitting for a lie detector test with Vanity Fair – during which she also shared all the cosmetic procedures she has had to stay looking young.
When her ‘Wicked’ co-star Cynthia Erivo, 37, aske Ariana during the video chat: “Did you ever get any work done to feel more popular?”, the singer denied having any procedures.
She also rejected rumours she had got a nose and boob job – with the polygraph examiner deployed by Vanity Fair confirming she was telling the truth.
When Cynthia asked Ariana: “Did you get a face-lift?”, the pop star replied: “No, not yet. I’m open.”
Ariana also called the test the “best day” of her life as it allowed her to hit back at people spreading rumours about procedures she may have got done.
The singer then stressed she had not undergone a “fox eye lift” – saying she had never heard of it and didn’t know what it involved.
When Cynthia asked if Ariana had a chin implant, she frowned and asked: “How do they do that?”
But Ariana did admit she had had fillers and Botox in “various places” – and said she had stopped getting jabbed “like four years ago”.
She added: “That is the extent (of my work)… (I am) in full support of all people who do these things.
“Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed. Why do we care?”
When Ariana was asked if she had underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift, she laughed and responded: “Get the f*** out of here.”

The 90-year-old crooner has sparked health fears among fans as he’s been taped by crowds looking frail at his recent performances.
But he has now told People: “I know there has been a lot of stuff on the internet about me lately so I wanted to clear the air.
“I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do and as long as I am able, and audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as I always.
“I absolutely love what I do.
“And I know we put on a great show because our fans are still coming out in force and the show still rocks.”
Frankie added about his band: “How do we do the show?! The Four Seasons sound was always about layering vocals and instruments.
“We use our 60 years of experience so we sound like the records. I sing, I have singers who sing, great arrangements… everything.
“I get a chuckle from the comments wondering if someone forcing me to go on stage. Nobody has ever made me do anything I didn’t want to do.
“I plan to be doing shows as long as I can, delivering that great Four Seasons sound.

The ‘WAP’ singer, 31, who had her third child with estranged husband Offset, 32, in September, gave fans an update on her cosmetic procedures in an Instagram Live video.
She told her followers: “In January, right after I shot ‘Like What’, I went and got surgery.
“I got some more butt injections removed. Because, you know, it takes rounds to get your butt injections removed.
“I got some of my butt injections removed. And I also went to fix, like, you know, certain things (with) my fibrosis.”
Cardi revealed during an Instagram Live in 2022 she had “95 per cent” of her silicone shots removed from her buttocks earlier that year.
The rapper is reportedly heading for divorce from Offset, but the pair reunited in the delivery room in September before Cardi revealed to fans she was a mother for the third time by posting snaps of her cradling her newborn alongside her older children daughter Kulture, six, and son Wave, three.
Cardi’s baby’s name has not yet been announced, and the birth came amid reports she and Offset are not planning on saving their marriage – even though they put on a united from at Wave’s recent birthday party.

It’s now been highlighted she was a no-show at her 34-year-old NFL star boyfriend’s past two games after spending the last year supporting him at matches.

The 74-year-old late night legend suffered burns to his face in a terrifying gasoline fire in November 2022 before breaking his collarbone and two ribs in a motorcycle crash two months later.
Reflecting on the initial incident, he jokingly told E! News: “My recovery was nine days. I missed two days of work, so it was not bad. Better than the face I had, so I’ll take it.”
The former ‘Tonight Show’ host teased that he hoped his “next chapter” doesn’t include his “next accident”, while giving a promising outlook on his life right now.
He said: “It’s good. Things are good. I can’t complain. I just write jokes, tell jokes, get checked. Very simple process.”

He said: “I drive home, I see my wife and I go to sleep, not realising this is still burning.
“When I wake up, I can’t get the pillow off my face. So, I’m sitting there with scissors trying to cut the pillow off. So, Dr. Grossman took the pillow off my face.”
After recovering from successful facial surgery, Jay soon needed more treatment after another brutal accident.
He continued: “I’m riding my motorcycle and a guy had a wire across the road, and boom, it tore my face.
“I called Dr. Grossman and I said, ‘Listen, I need another face. The other face you got was great, but I just need another.’
“So I guess I am officially a two-faced b****** now.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dannii Minogue broke down in tears as she opened up about her sister Kylie Minogue’s cancer battle, and admitted it was music that kept her sibling “going”.
The former ‘Neighbours’ actress was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 during her ‘Showgirl: Greatest Hits’ world tour, and Dannii has recalled visiting Kylie, 56, when she was “very unwell” and undergoing chemotherapy.
Speaking on Australian TV show ‘Take 5 with Zan Rowe’, she said: “My sister got sick with breast cancer in the middle of a tour.
“I remember her being carried off stage and stuff.
“When I would go and visit her when she was having chemo and very unwell, I would just jump around to music with her.
“It was music that kept us going and she was like, ‘I need to finish the tour!’ She’s so professional.
“I was like, ‘We need to keep you alive.’
“And yeah, like, we knew that was her goal. To get back and honour all of those tickets.”
When Kylie was able to resume her tour, she invited Dannii onto the stage, and the 52-year-old singer has fond memories of the “unbelievable” moment.
She said: “So cut forward to her being able to get back on stage, it was the homecoming tour, she said, ‘Will you jump on stage with me?’ I said, ‘Sure, I’d love to.’
“The joy when we came out on stage, from the audience, was unbelievable.
“You could hear the roar.
“We felt that the whole time, like getting her better, we felt their love and support was there. Waves of it.”
Dannii’s friend Laura was battling cancer around the same time as her sister, and while Kylie survived, her pal sadly died.
She explained: “My sister had cancer, recovered, it was a wild ride for our family. And then my friend Laura had cancer.
“She was staying with me and said she had a pain in her back – an hour later she was in the foetal position.
“She went into hospital and she never came out again. It was very hard to see her go through this.”

The ‘Sex Lives of College Girls’ star, whose brother is ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor Timothee Chalamet, 28, gave birth three weeks ago.
In a video captured by French publication Paris Match, Pauline can be seen telling director Greta Gerwig at Stella McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week show: “I just had a baby.”
A shocked Greta – who has worked with Timothee on multiple movies, including ‘Little Women’ and ‘Lady Bird’ – replied: “No!”
Pauline said: “Yeah,” and Greta replied: “Oh my god!”
The actress then put her arm around a man standing next to her, who she hasn’t publicly revealed the identity of, and said to Greta: “We just had a baby. Three weeks ago.”
In June, it was revealed Pauline was pregnant as she showed off her baby bump at the last Paris Fashion Week.
While Pauline doesn’t disclose much of her personal life in the public eye, she has spoken about her brother before, previously admitting he watched her raunchy TV show with one of their parents.
Speaking to E! News in November 2022, she said: “My brother loves it [‘Sex Lives of College Girls’]. You’ll have to get the story from him, because I believe he did watch it with one of my parents. So that is that.

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Willis’ daughter Tallulah is “so grateful” for her emotions despite her dad’s “tough” health battle.
The 30-year-old star has shared a tribute to her famous father – who is battling frontotemporal dementia – and admitted while it’s difficult, she would rather be struggling than “disconnecting”.
Alongside photos of them together, she wrote: “Hey I love this guy so much and feeling feelings is tough stuff, but I’m so grateful to let them flow through me now instead of disconnecting from it!”
She didn’t reveal when the pictures were taken, but simply said they were “from the forever archives”.
Tallulah recently opened up on her own autism diagnoses as an adult, having struggled with sensory issues for years.
Appearing on the ‘TODAY’ show, she said: “I was misdiagnosed for many years. So only at 29, got my diagnosis, which is very common, specifically for adult women.”
She found it a “relief” when she got her diagnosis, having spent a long time feeling like she was “broken”.
She explained: “I thought I was very broken.
“So to learn that the elements of myself that I felt were maladies or wrong, or just too much for this world, are actually okay and they just require maybe a little bit more tools, you know?”
Finding out she is autistic has given her “more grace” for herself and her loved ones.
She added: “As well as, I think, my family and other people, hopefully, who learn about this, you know? Just to be a little more gentle and compassionate with themselves.”
Meanwhile, Tallulah’s mother Demi Moore has admitted she tries not to be “attached” to the old Bruce when she visits her ex husband, whom she was married to from 1987 to 2000.
She told ‘CBS Sunday Morning’: “The important thing is just to meet him where he’s at, as opposed to being attached to who he was, how he was.

The 62-year-old actress was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2018 and has been in remission since the following year but admitted that it can be difficult to “keep up” with things like appointments in the time that has followed and makes a concerted effort to use sunscreen to protect herself now.
I just have to [use sunscreen] — I don’t want skin cancer. That just has to be for every person on the planet now. It’s kind of a no-brainer. Protect your skin. “It’s so hard, but you just have to keep up with all your appointments. It’s hard to stay on top of all that, but you know, it’s lifesaving.”
The former ‘Desperate Housewives’ star was made aware of her cancer when her gynecologist found a malignant mass during a routine digital rectal exam, and she later admitted that she had never even thought that anything would be wrong because she hadn’t noticed any symptoms at all.
Speaking on ‘CBS This Morning’, she said: “I was so not thinking anything was wrong because I didn’t have any symptoms. [My doctor] gave me an exam and she came around and said, ‘Well, I just want you to know whatever it is, it’s curable.”
The ‘Everwood’ actress underwent 28 radiation appointments and a couple of rounds of chemotherapy to combat the disease, and then took to her social media early 2020 to give her fans and followers the good news that she had beaten cancer.

The 39-year-old singer has amassed great success as part of McFly alongside Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd over the last 20 years but admitted that the pop star life was never one he envisioned for himself after “growing up” in theatre, although he finds it “really nice” to have had the chance to write a musical that is heading to London for Christmas.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’, he said: “I’ve written all of the songs, I wrote the songs when I wrote the book. It helps me write the story, I’ve done it with a few of my books.

She told Britain’s Closer magazine: “She’s only ever known Ryan. DJ was only around three when her own dad passed away and four when Ryan came into our lives, so she’s only ever known him.
“I love him and he wants to officially adopt her. He’s had her name tattooed on his back, not mine! Let’s think about the amount of guys who have had me tattooed on their back.”
And while the 44-year-old star is happy taking her time with wedding plans, she admitted the bond between Ryan and DJ is one reason she wants them to tie the knot sooner rather than later.
She added: “Everyone’s still talking about the wedding! We’ve been engaged for four years and together for six. I’m not fussed about when we get married.
“My only worry is that if anything happens to me, Ryan’s got no legal representation over DJ.”
Meanwhile, Kerry confirmed her and Ryan – who is planning to legally adopt DJ – have no plans of having children of their own.
She said: “There’s no way we’re having kids. I’m enough and my kids are enough and he’s accepted that. We’re happy just as we are.”
Kerry – who also has Molly, 22, Lilly, 21, Heidi, 17, and 16-year-old Max from her previous marriages – previously revealed she started to make plans for her death after a cancer scare.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “I was terrified and said to Ryan, ‘We need to get married right now and you need to adopt DJ’.
“If I die, she doesn’t have a legal guardian so I was forced to have those conversations.
“Ryan has basically raised DJ but we need to work out a plan if the worst happens and get all our ducks in a row.”
