Lady Gaga's Winehouse tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga will record an Amy Winehouse song to raise money for her foundation.
Amy’s father Mitch Winehouse asked Gaga, 30, to support the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up on September 14, 2011, two months after her death at the age of 27, and the star was happy to help.
Mitch told The Sun: “I love Lady Gaga. I know she’s bit kooky but I’ve met her mum and dad, they’re a lovely hard working family, from New York.
“She’s like Amy, when she comes home from work she puts the tracksuit on, watches TV and kisses and cuddles her grand- parents. Lovely kid …”
“We’ve got this new YouTube channel where stars all over the world are going to do an Amy track and however many hits we get after the first two million, we start making money for the foundation.
“Leona Lewis is going to do one, Lady Gaga will do one, and a few other stars.
“Hopefully it’s going to be a source of revenue for the foundation. We need money and that’s a great way to get cash and remember Amy, go on YouTube and have fun.”
The foundation recently joined forces with Centra Care and Support to open a home for recovering female drug and alcohol addicts in East London.
Jane Winehouse, Amy’s stepmother, of the charity, said: “This project will make such a profound difference to so many young women, enabling them to have a safe environment in which to re-build their lives and put into practice all the learning they have acquired through their treatment journey.
“Fresh starts are difficult to make; full of challenges, but at Amy’s Place we will give young women the tools and support to help them make this a reality.
“There is a huge lack of support to meet the needs of women in this area and we hope Amy’s Place will show just how much more effective we can be.”

Mark Wahlberg drops pardon request

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wahlberg has dropped his bid to be pardoned for his 1988 assault conviction.
The actor – who applied for the pardon in 2014 – was 16 years old when he hit a Vietnamese man in the head with a stick while trying to steal alcohol and served 45 days of his two-year sentence in an adult prison.
However, a Massachusetts Parole Board spokesman told the New York Post’s Page Six that the 45-year-old actor “did not respond to a letter asking if he wished to keep his petition open, so the matter has been closed”.
Mark had applied to the Governor of Massachusetts for a pardon insisting he is a model citizen compared to the troubled individual he was at the time the attack took place.
Mark previously said getting the pardon was important to him because it would be proof of how he has successfully rehabilitated himself as a person.
The actor – who is married to fashion model Rhea Durham, with whom he has four children – is a devout Catholic, works with disadvantaged youngsters and is supporting old friends of his who have fallen on hard times and he wants to leave his bad boy tag in the past.
Discussing his pardon request last year, he said: “This has been my life for the past 27 years. This is what I think about every day … It does bother me a bit that people say, ‘Oh, now that he’s a successful celebrity he feels he’s entitled to a clean slate.’ This is my life … People think, well now it’s a new story, but it’s really still the same story. If you ever go back to read any profile or magazine piece I’ve done, it’s always the bad boy turned good.”

Calvin Harris and Jennifer Lopez dating?

OHMYGOSSIP — Calvin Harris and Jennifer Lopez are reportedly dating.
The 32-year-old DJ and the 47-year-old singer have grown close in Las Vegas while working on new music together and their relationship is believed to still be quite new.
A source told the National Enquirer: “Calvin and Jennifer are very careful to not be seen together.
“It’s very early days and they’re keeping things on the down-low.
“They’ve become really close. There’s epic chemistry between them.”
Calvin attended Jennifer’s birthday party in Las Vegas in July and shared a number of clips of them together at the bash on Snapchat.
He split up with Taylor Swift, 26, a few months ago, while Jennifer – who has eight-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony – and her backing dancer Casper Smart recently ended their on/off relationship.
A source previously explained: “Jennifer and Casper have split. They have not been together for a few weeks. It wasn’t anything dramatic and they were on good terms – it just came to a natural end.
“They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together. It was very amiable.”
Following his split from Taylor, after 15 months of dating, Calvin was linked to Tinashe and Mexican model Eiza González.
While insiders called Tinashe a “good distraction”, Calvin’s close pal John Newman insisted he didn’t need anyone to comfort him after his relationship with Taylor ended.
He said: “He doesn’t need anybody. His emotions are so strong, he’s so strong minded.
“He’s a one-man train who is never going to stop. The limits are literally endless for him.
“What he’s done is nothing compared to what he can do. That’s the scary thing, how far this really could go for him.”

Prince's estate sued for 56k

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s estate has been hit with a $56,260 claim by an event planner.
Two scheduled events, due to be held at the late musician’s Paisley Park estate in Minnesota, were reportedly axed following his death in April and party planner Ricky Barron says he was left out of pocket.
In a claim filed in Carver County, Minnesota and obtained by PEOPLE, Barron is asking for $56,260 “for work performed on behalf of Paisley Park [and] also for projected profits on events the estate cancelled”.
One party was reportedly for the Make-a-Wish foundation, while the second was for Mixed Blood Theatre.
This comes after it was reported that Jack Reuler, the artistic director of Mixed Blood Theatre, is looking for $348,358 from the estate, following the cancellation of its 40th anniversary gala.
Meanwhile, Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park compound in April and it was recently revealed that a subsidiary of Graceland Holdings is to start running tours at the complex from October 6.
Fans will get the chance to look through the main floor of Paisley Park, including the recording studios where Prince recorded and produced some of his biggest hits.
Supporters will also be able to feast their eyes on some of the many awards the late star won, see his concert wardrobe, rare music and video recordings as well as several of his musical instruments.
Bremer Trust – the company overseeing Prince’s affairs – announced the deal with Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson.
She said in a statement: “Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on.
“Only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime.
“Now fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince’s world for the first time, as we open the doors to this incredible place.
“The new Paisley Park museum will offer fans a unique experience, an exhibition like no other, as Prince would have wanted it.”

Kanye West wants Will Ferrell to play him in biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West wants Will Ferrell to play him in a movie of his life.
The 39-year-old rapper is a huge fan of the 49-year-old actor and even compared himself to one of Will’s most famous characters, Buddy the Elf, in the Christmas movie ‘Elf’.
In an interview for W magazine’s first-ever his-and-hers fashion issue, Kanye said: “He is one of my personal gods. I would like Will Ferrell to play me in ‘The Kanye West Story’. Can you make that happen?”
Speaking about his Yeezy fashion label, Kanye compared himself to Buddy and said: “I’m the elf that’s Will Ferrell, that’s too big for his hands to make the toys.
“Play this s**t back in 10 years – I build things that mean things to people. I make the Christmas presents; number one requested Christmas present of 2015 Christmas, going into 2016, the f****g Yeezy.”
Kanye also insisted he is not taken seriously as a designer because he is a musician and he blasted critics of his latest collection.
He said: “Think of how it is now – [Yeezy] is one of the leading trendsetting brands now; like top four trendsetting brands. And, and that’s with little to no support on the apparel side. Meaning, I went and did a deal with Adidas and I basically still had to do the apparel in LA and build my own atelier and get consultants and build a team.
“I’m saying that to this date they do not understand who I am. They will not understand until after I’m gone. I am misunderstood and there is no one in fashion that’s on my side.”
“No one, um – very few people even knew that I have a f****g Ph.D. in art, you know? And not that that would even make the difference, but me saying that makes the difference to the exact people I’m talking to it’s, like, shut the f**k up.
“I will f*****g laser you with alien f*****g eyes and explode your f*****g head. Shut the f**k up – try to write a rap. Okay then. I made this f*****g T-shirt, now shut up. And it cost me everything I had and I gave everything I had.”

Birthday tribute to Amy Winehouse

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Winehouse’s parents were joined by a crowd of fans as they paid tribute to the late singer on her 33rd birthday on Wednesday (14.09.16).
Five years after Amy’s death, her life was celebrated in London’s Camden Market with live performances and street art.
Speaking in front of a large crowd, her father Mitch Winehouse, accompanied by Amy’s mother Janis Winehouse-Collins, said: “Happy Birthday Amy. Your mummy and daddy love you very much.”
There were a number of activities throughout the day and proceeds went to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up on September 14, 2011.
The foundation was established in Amy’s name to continue the legacy of the star and her unique musical talent.
To mark the fifth anniversary of her death, local business Market Tech collaborated with the Amy Winehouse Foundation to bring a host of activities to Camden while the foundation held a pop up stall selling exclusive merchandise as Amy’s songs played by local vendors serenaded market-goers.
Street artist Pegasus created his own tribute artwork in the entrance to Camden Market Hall, whilst Amy fans from all over the world flocked to pay their respects and support to the singer and her foundation.
A central area of focus for the Amy Winehouse Foundation is “to support the personal development of disadvantaged young people through music”.

Katie Price's children's Instagram accounts vanish

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Price’s children’s Instagram accounts have disappeared.
Just weeks after the ‘Loose Women’ star broke the age Terms and Conditions of the picture-sharing app by signing son Junior, 11, and nine-year-old daughter Princess up, their accounts have vanished, The Sun has revealed.
It is unclear if Katie, 38, deleted the accounts but Junior and Princess’ father Peter Andre previously admitted he was unhappy about her decision to set up pages for them and said that he had banned them from logging on to social media when they are at his house.
Peter – who has two-year-old daughter Amelia and another baby on the way with his wife Emily MacDonagh – said Junior and Princess are too young for Instagram and he keeps them offline because he believes the platform opens up “all sorts of issues”.
Writing in his column for New! magazine, he shared: “I have been asked how I feel about my kids having Instagram accounts. Everyone knows I don’t allow them to have phones or social media at my house. I don’t like kids having them because I think it opens them up to all sorts of issues.”
However, Peter, 43, insisted he respected Katie’s decision to allow them to use Instagram when they are with her.
Talking about the need for “compromise” when you co-parent, the TV star said: “As a parent you have to compromise with the other parent and try to work together. I can only advise and encourage them – I can’t do any more than that.”
Katie recently admitted she let her children join Instagram so they can further their own showbiz careers.
She said: “My kids have been brought up in the industry with their dad and me on TV shows, everyone knows who they are. Now they are being booked themselves for TV shows, modelling jobs and stuff like that. Social media is the future … It’s a business thing.”

Britney Spears' teaching ambition

OHMYGOSSIP — Britney Spears sometimes thinks about becoming a teacher.
The 34-year-old singer found fame on Disney’s ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ when she was just 11 years old but admitted there are times when she considers leaving the music business for a more sedate life.
In the new issue of NME magazine out on Friday (16.09.16), she said: “I try not to analyse it too much. I love what I do and I think that helps because it speaks for itself when I perform. Seeing other artists continue to do this kind of thing inspires me too. Because sometimes I’m like, ‘What am I doing? Like, I could be a teacher.’
“But then I see other people doing it too and I’m like, ‘Well, you know, it’s probably all they’ve known for so long, so it just kind of makes sense.”
Meanwhile, Britney admitted that the music on her new LP ‘Glory’ wasn’t very good to begin with.
She explained: “The beginning of the project was actually not that great. The songs that were coming in were not very good. So we got a new A&R girl, and we totally turned it around, gave it a profound new direction. I wanted to use my voice more. I did different stuff with my voice – more bluesy and urban stuff, and played around with different things.”
The star – who has sons Sean, 10, and Jayden, nine, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline – also revealed that she was “selfish” about who she worked with and what songs were included on the final tracklist.
She said: “Honestly, this is the first project where I’ve really been hands-on. I was really specific about who I worked with, and I’ve been learning to say no. I’m a people pleaser, so that’s hard for me. Even if I don’t like something, I’ll do it just to make a person happy. I made sure this album was everything I wanted it to be. I was really selfish with it.”

Mary J. Blige's estranged husband seeking spousal support

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs is seeking spousal support.
The ‘Missing You’ singer filed to legally separate from Kendu – who was also her manager – in July after 12 years of marriage and TMZ reports he has now responded to her petition and asked for financial support, including payment of his legal fees.
However, Mary, 45, has indicated that she wants the court to block his request.
It is unclear if the pair have a prenuptial agreement.
Mary cited “irreconcilable differences” in her original filing and released a statement admitting things had not worked out between the couple.
Her representative said: “Ms. Blige is saddened to say it is true that she has filed for divorce, saying sometimes things don’t work how we hoped they would. But, there is a divine plan and a reason for everything.
“Mary will continue writing and working on her album which is due out later this year along with her world tour. She thanks and appreciates her fans for their support and love through this very difficult emotional time.”
Mary previously opened up on her relationship with her spouse, and admitted having a professional relationship with him sometimes led to complications.
She said: “He always has my back – he’s going to fight to the death for Mary J Blige. The downside is that there’s no separation – it’s on all the time.
“When you don’t feel like answering to your manager, he’s still your husband. If one of you doesn’t want to talk about something right now, you have to respect that. And you have to respect each other’s space.”

Lady Gaga to release album Joanne next month

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga will release her new album ‘Joanne’ next month’.
The 30-year-old singer revealed she has almost completed the record – which she named in memory of her father’s sister Joanne who passed away at the age of 19 – and will release it on October 21.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1 on Thursday (15.09.16), Gaga said: “It’s going to be done in the next 48 hours.
“[My father] was younger than her and she was very sick with lupus. The death of her in his family and in his life, it really left a scar and a wound that never healed.
“The experiences of our families, and our challenges and our toughness make us who we are. It’s all the toughness of the pain that happened as a result of losing her that made us all strong, and made us all who we are.”
A track on the album will also be called ‘Joanne’.
Gaga and her father, Joe Germanotta, also own a restaurant in New York named after Joanne and it was recently revealed that they have collaborated on the cookbook ‘Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes from an Italian American Restaurant’.
Travis Jones, the Executive Chef at the restaurant, tweeted: “Head on over and Get your Joanne Trattoria Cookbook full of recipes and family stories! (sic)” and shared a link to pre-order the book on Amazon, ahead of its November 2016 release.
The description on Amazon states that the book is “A collection of recipes and anecdotes, inspired by the world famous restaurant Joanne Trattoria, owned by Joe Germanotta, father of Lady Gaga.”
Meanwhile, Gaga recently revealed she feels “betrayed” by those closest to her and said that there is “a lot of rage” present in the tracks on the album.
She explained: “I’ve been betrayed by all types of people in my life and thought an illusion was put out to bait me in some kind of way. There’s a lot of rage on the album. There’s going to be a lot of personal things on that record that are written through the lyrics and the music.”

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth writing a play together

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are writing a play together.
The couple – who reconciled earlier this year after calling off their engagement in 2013 – have been working on the script for a “dramatic love story”.
A source told Us Weekly: “[Miley and Liam] have been writing a script for a play together. It’s a dramatic love story.
“Miley is always writing, drawing and making music. Liam helps out. They’re so creative.”
Meanwhile, Miley, 23 and 26-year-old Liam are reportedly planning to tie the knot soon but they are keeping the details under wraps.
An insider explained: “Miley has been trying to keep everything a secret. There are very few people who are involved in the planning and all of her closest friends have been sworn to secrecy.
“Miley and Liam do not want gifts. They’re going to ask all of their guests to donate to a charity of their choosing.”
It was recently claimed the couple had axed a planned honeymoon to Bora Bora.
The trip was all planned out but Miley decided she wants to mark their love in another location, and Liam doesn’t mind because he just wants his girl to be happy.
A source said: “They had the entire trip planned, but Miley just decided she didn’t want to go there after all. They have yet to pick a new locale.”
They did consider saying their vows at a small summer beach ceremony in the ‘Hunger Games’ star’s native Australia but that plan is now off.
The source said: “Miley is pretty adamant about having a small, private ceremony. But Liam wants a really big wedding, so I’m sure they’ll come to a compromise.”

Paris Jackson makes heart-breaking suicide attempt admission

OHMYGOSSIP — Paris Jackson has made a heart-breaking admission that she attempted suicide aged just 14.
The 18 year old – the daughter of late pop legend Michael Jackson – sobbed as she recalled wanting to kill herself because of online hate she received from trolls in a shocking Instagram video that’s since been deleted.
The aspiring actress cited Justin Bieber’s dramatic exit from Instagram following the abuse he and his new girlfriend Sofia Richie received from fans as proof that cyberbullies are “f***ing” people up.
Weeping uncontrollably during the two and-a-half minute clip, Paris says: “I don’t understand how there can be so much hatred in the world right now I’ve tried sticking up for myself. I’ve tried the whole blocking the haters thing, not reading the comments, I’ve tried a lot of things. Ignoring it. But it’s hard.
“It is when there’s so much of it. I don’t get why I’m such an easy target, I’m very nice to people I meet. I’m usually a very trusting person. I try to be open with you guys on a daily basis, I share a lot, I’m very public. When I was 14 I got so much hatred that I tried to kill myself and I took, like, a two-year break from social media and then people asked me to come back, to make my Instagram public again, so I did. And nothing changed!”
She added: “I know I’m not the only one, f***ing Justin Bieber went into a downward spiral because everybody that he dates gets so much hate. I have known his girlfriend, Sofia, since I was like 12 or 13. She’s one of the sweetest girls in the world and people are telling her to kill herself! I mean we’re human beings, man! We got hearts and brains and feelings, and when you say damaging things like that to people, it f***s ’em up.”
Paris – who has brothers Prince, 19, and 14-year-old Blanket – ended by apologising for her outburst and admitted she felt emotionally “exhausted”.
She said: “Really and truly it’s really exhausting. Sorry for the rant, but it’s some stuff that I’ve been holding in for a long time, years.”
Later on Wednesday (14.09.16) she took to Twitter and defended the ‘Sorry’ singer again, saying: “I don’t blame justin for deleting his instagram account. the type of harassment i see on my account daily is enough to make someone suicidal (sic)”
But seemingly after a backlash from fans for posting and deleting the video – which was uploaded by a third party to YouTube – she added: “Why does it feel like the wrong thing when you do the right thing. (sic)”

The Beatles didn't worry about ending tours

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Paul McCartney wasn’t “worried” about The Beatles losing money when they decided to retire from being a touring band.
The Fab Four gave up performing live in 1966 to focus on making studio LPs and the 74-year-old music legend admits while they did everything they could to keep going, but it was “too much” for them in the end as they could rarely even hear what they were playing due to the screaming fans as ‘Beatlemania’ took hold.
In an interview with Shaun Keaveny for UK station BBC Radio 6 Music, McCartney said: “I don’t remember being worried (about money) no.
“We tried to keep the live thing together, but it just finally became too much. So then it was like, OK, we are going to stop that, Now what can we do? We’ll get into the studio, now we can really spend some time.”
Drummer Ringo Starr insists they all felt it was necessary to get back into the studio so they could become better musicians.
He added: “We just made a decision that we were going to stop and go into the studio and get back down to playing together.”
The two surviving members of The Beatles – who were joined in the band by the late George Harrison and John Lennon – also admitted that it took them a long time to learn how to tune their instruments properly for their concerts.
Asked how they are still able to stay so in tune when thousands of girls were screaming at the top of their voices, McCartney said: “It is amazing actually. I think we just had got better. I was thinking in the early gigs we did we weren’t always in tune. It took a lot of gigs for us to suddenly go, ‘Oh, I know how to tune up.’
“Some early gigs I remember we were really out of tune and there were people throwing coins at us. We picked them up.”
And Ringo, 76, said that he is surprised how many bands nowadays have to use a different guitars for each song they perform, which was the opposite for The Beatles.
He added: “The most interesting thing is, whatever instruments the three of them walked on with they played every number.
“Now they put bands together and the guitarist has a guitar for every damn number. It is tuned this way, it’s tuned that way. When I was out there George had one bloody guitar.”
The ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ hitmakers’ live days between 1962 and 1966 are the subject of Ron Howard’s new documentary film ‘The Beatles: Eight Days a Week -The Touring Years’.

Adele dedicates song to Amy Winehouse on late star's birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele dedicated ‘Make You Feel My Love’ to her idol Amy Winehouse as she performed in Boston on Wednesday night (14.09.16) on what would have been the late star’s 33rd birthday.
The 28-year-old singer was performing at the TD Garden arena in the US city and took a moment to remember the jazz and soul musician who tragically died in July 2011 when she was just 27.
Adele described Amy as a “genius” and the artist who inspired her to write her own songs before performing an emotional rendition of the ballad.
Speaking to fans, the ‘Hello’ hitmaker said: “I feel like I owe so much of my career to her. Her first album ‘Frank’, that album really changed my life. I used to think she’s the coolest motherf***er.
“Because of her I write my own songs, if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be happening. I’m also completely happy with all of the music that she left behind because it’s genius, but every day I wish I could hear a new song from her. So I tonight I want to dedicate this song to Amy Winehouse. This is ‘Make You Feel My Love’. We love you, we always will.”
Earlier in the day, Adele has taken to her Twitter account to remember the ‘Rehab’ singer posting a photo of Amy smiling for the camera along with the caption “Happy Birthday Amy X”.
The ‘Rolling in the Deep’ songwriter has always lavished praise on Amy’s music and also been honest that her death from accidental alcohol poisoning and well-documented drug problems have served to be a cautionary tale for her to avoid the pitfalls of fame.
Adele – who has three-year-old son Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki – said: “Watching Amy deteriorate is one of the reasons I’m a bit frightened. Seeing that I see that fame (can be) really toxic, and I think it’s really easy to be dragged into it.”
The British chart-topper is to play a second show at the TD Garden arena in Boston on Thursday evening (15.09.16).

The reality TV star was on her way to meet friends for a night of food, fun and frolics when she noticed the car accident.
Rather than drive on by, big-hearted Kendra pulled over to make sure everyone involved was OK and was rewarded for being a good citizen when some hunky firemen arrived at the scene.
Taking to her Twitter account, she revealed: “Just helped out some people who crashed. I totally could’ve left early but the hot firefighters came so I stayed a lil longer. (sic)”

Bethenny Frankel's 'bad' divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Bethenny Frankel is still battling the “bad effects” of her divorce.
The 45-year-old reality TV star cut ties with her ex-husband Jason Hoppy once and for all in July when their marriage was dissolved in the eyes of the law, but she has admitted she’s still fighting the consequences of their bitter split and hates that their six-year-old daughter Bryn is struggling.
Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, she said: “There are still some bad parts that I definitely thought would be gone.
“But the hardest parts have been anything that seems negative for my daughter. Anything that is unnecessarily negative for my daughter is really challenging for me.
“You know, you kind of have to look inside, find your strength.”
The brunette beauty – who was married to Jason for six years – is now dating her new man Dennis Shields but believes her sour split from her former spouse has changed her opinion of men.
She explained: “Integrity and kindness now are so much more important than I ever even realised, because I didn’t realise how many people don’t have it. I think I’ve been pretty sheltered in my emotional estimation of people. I’ve gotten pretty surprised.”
And, although she’s very loved up with Dennis, whom she’s been dating for almost a year, Bethenny doesn’t know if she wants to get married again because it’ll be her third time down the aisle.
She said: “I finally got to the place where everything is settled. Why start to, like, throw it up in the air again? I’m not looking for helicopters to fly over my house while I wear some big, white poufy dress. I don’t feel ready for that right now.”
Bethenny – who separated from Jason in 2012 – has been banned from speaking about the terms of her divorce but first requested for their marriage to be terminated in January 2013.
A custody agreement was finalised in June 2014 but they were battling over their properties and businesses for over two years until they finally came to an agreement in July 2016.
Bethenny was also married to Peter Sussman for a year between 1996 and 1997.
