Adam Levine loves being a dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Levine is finding parenting a “beautiful experience”.
The Maroon 5 frontman and wife Behati Prinsloo welcomed daughter Dusty Rose into the world on September 21 and even though he doesn’t know “anything” about being a father, he is enjoying operating on instinct when it comes to caring for the baby.
Speaking on radio show ‘On Air With Ryan Seacrest’, he said: “I’ve been a parent for three weeks; what do I know? I don’t know anything, but it’s kind of part of the beauty of it, honestly.
“There are a lot of instincts, a lot of things that kind of kick in and switch on. It’s a beautiful experience.”
The 37-year-old star previously admitted he and Behati, 27, planned to parent on their own instinct and not pay too much attention to the advice they were offered.
He shared: “When you are doing this for the first time, everybody loves to tell you what you should be doing. So, we’re kind of tuning a lot of it out and we’re just going to do it how we do it.”
Before his little girl was born the ‘Voice’ coach spoke of how “ready” he felt to be a parent.
He said: “I’m ready to be a dad. You’re born to be a parent, that’s what we’re here for, really. All the other s*** is great, but it’s not what we’re here for.”
Three days after Dusty was born, the couple shared the first picture of the tot on Instagram, with the image featuring the sleeping baby cradled on her father’s bare chest.

Jon Hamm helped by therapy

OHMYGOSSIP — Jon Hamm finds therapy “very helpful”.
The former ‘Mad Men’ actor first sought counselling after his father died when he was 20, 10 years after he lost his mother to cancer, and though he admits it is a “luxury” that not everyone can afford, he urges as many people as possibly to visit the “mental gym” and seek professional help.
He said: “I find it very helpful. I know the English are a lot more sceptical about it than Americans are, but maybe after Brexit, you’ll change your minds…
“After I’d lost my dad, I had this horrible paralysing inertia – and no one in my family was capable of dealing with it. So what do you do? Go and see a professional. I preach it from the mountaintops.
“I know it’s a luxury and it’s not something everyone can afford. But if you can, do it. It’s like a mental gym.”
Last year, the 45-year-old star underwent a stint in rehab for alcoholism and thinks residential facilities are “great” for helping people to change and overhaul their lifestyles.
He told Net-a-Porter’s The Journal: “[Rehab] has all these connotations, but it’s just an extended period of talking about yourself. People go for all sorts of reasons, not all of which are chemically related. But there’s something to be said for pulling yourself out of the grind for a period of time and concentrating on recalibrating the system. And it works. It’s great.”
The ‘Keeping Up With The Joneses’ star – who split from long-term partner Jennifer Westfeldt last year – doesn’t think having children is an essential part of his future, but he won’t rule out having a family one day.
Asked if having kids is part of his agenda, he said: “I don’t know. I don’t think it’s necessarily an imperative. I’m not going to psychoanalyse myself here, but… well, never say never.
“I’ve got nieces and nephews and I’ve been a teacher. I’ve probably been around kids a lot more than all my friends. I feel if you shut that off entirely you calcify. You turn into that guy.”

Bella Thorne has crushes on Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Thorne has a crush on Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.
The ‘Blended’ actress – who is dating actor Tyler Posey – recently came out as bisexual and the two former Disney stars are her dream women.
Asked her celebrity crushes, she said: “Demi Lovato. I must say…rawrrrr. She is a pretty toasty woman. Miley Cyrus, too. She’s dope. But Demi is fire, just fire.”
And when it comes to relationships, Bella is attracted to people who “completely accept” her for who she is.
She told Maxim magazine: “Somebody who gets you, that relationship where somebody’s just completely accepted who I am as a person and is just like, ‘F**k it!’ I love that.”
The 19-year-old star admitted she was bisexual after she was quizzed by a fan when she shared a picture of herself kissing another woman and she didn’t hesitate over making the revelation.
She said: “I didn’t even think about it. A fan on Twitter asked me, and I’m super open about it. So I just said, ‘Yeah!’ ”
The ‘Midnight Sun’ star is incredibly open about her life on social media but admitted she has been advised to tone down her postings – but refuses to do so.
She said: “It is hard in this business for us. It really is. I have already had people talk s**t to me.
“And it comes from people in the industry, not even fans. I’ve had studios tell me my image is too ‘out there,’ hinting at it but not really saying it.
“People tell me all the time about my social media and my Snapchat, but I’m not going to change myself for this business, and I’m not going to change myself for anyone else.”

Justin Bieber sued for spitting

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber is still being sued for allegedly spitting at the neighbour whose house he egged.
The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker previously pleaded no contest to vandalism charges after throwing eggs at Jeffrey Schwarz’s home in 2014, and the auto mogul is pressing ahead with his bid for compensation for what happened during another alleged row.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, Jeffrey claims that the 22-year-old singer assaulted him and caused emotional distress after spitting at him during an argument.
The man now wants to grill Justin’s bodyguard Michael Arana about the rows and also the singer’s character and though the minder now lives in Florida, Jeffrey is willing to have his lawyers make the trip to obtain his testimony.
In July, the ‘What Do You Mean?’ singer demanded Jeffrey and his wife Suzanne underwent a mental evaluation to prove they’re still battling psychological issues as a result of the infamous egging debacle two years on from the incident.
Jeffrey and Suzanne – who claimed in their previous lawsuit Justin had subjected them to the consequences of loud parties and drug use – have claimed they’re still battling with headaches and insomnia following the infamous incident, despite the pop star moving out of the exclusive gated Calabasas community in California last year.
After pleading no contest to misdemeanour vandalism, Justin was placed on probation – which has now ended – told to carry out five days of community service at a homeless shelter and fork out an estimated $80,000 in damages to his neighbours.
He was also ordered to undergo anger management counselling.

Wonder Woman named UN girls' empowerment ambassador

OHMYGOSSIP — Wonder Woman has been named a UN ambassador.
The DC Comics superhero will be inducted as an honorary ambassador for the empowerment of women and girls by the United Nations at her 75th birthday party in New York on October 21 at the organisation’s headquarters.
Wonder Woman was created in 1971 by William Moulton Marston, whose character comes from the all-female fictional paradise of Themyscira in the Amazon.
Though she was initially written to test the reaction of fans to a female superhero in the DC comics universe, her popularity grew quickly and she got her own storyline just one year later.
Actress Lynda Carter donned her familiar red and blue bodysuit and armour in the 1970s hit TV series ‘Wonder Woman’ and Gal Gadot debuted her version of the sword-wielding warrior in ‘Batman V Superman’ earlier this year, with a standalone movie due to be released next year.
Last month, Wonder Woman writer Greg Rucka revealed the character is, in fact, bisexual and has had relationships with other women.
Asked was the character gay, he told Comicosity: “Yes. I think it’s more complicated though … when you start to think about giving the concept of Themyscira its due, the answer is, ‘How can they not all be in same-sex relationships?’ Right? It makes no logical sense otherwise. It’s supposed to be paradise. You’re supposed to be able to live happily. You’re supposed to be able … to have a fulfilling, romantic and sexual relationship. And the only options are women.
“But an Amazon doesn’t look at another Amazon and say: ‘You’re gay.’ They don’t. The concept doesn’t exist.”
Meanwhile, the US Postal Service is set to mark Wonder Woman’s 75th birthday and release four Wonder Woman stamps.

Katharine McPhee and Elyes Gabel split after nearly two years of dating

OHMYGOSSIP — Katharine McPhee has split from her boyfriend Elyes Gabel after nearly two years of dating.
The 32-year-old musician-turned-actress split from her London-born lover in September, but the duo are said to have remained on good terms since they decided to call time on their relationship.
A source told Just Jared: “Kat and Elyes broke up last month.
“It was an amicable split. They’re still friends and work together almost everyday. They still love each other but just couldn’t make things work.”
Katharine – who was the runner-up on the fifth season of ‘American Idol’ in 2006 – is currently starring alongside Elyes, 33, on the CBS drama ‘Scorpion’.
Their relationship became public in 2014 when they were spotted kissing on the set of the show, which is based on the life of a computer expert.
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Katharine’s divorce from Nicholas Cokas was officially finalised.
The actress and her ex – who married in 2008 – disagreed on the date they split, with Nicholas arguing it was May 2014, while Katherine claimed the split came in March 2013.
The judge reportedly agreed with Nicholas and as a result, he was awarded a bigger payout.
Katherine agreed to pay Nicholas spousal support, while he was also awarded 50 percent of income earned during their marriage, which included songs she worked on, her $700,000 contract with Columbia/Epic Records and income earned from her work on ‘Smash’, the musical drama series.
What’s more, Katharine was ordered to pay him half of the money she earned for the pilot episode of ‘Scorpion’.

Kerry Washington gets parenting advice from therapist

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington has received parenting advice from her therapist.
The 39-year-old actress is currently expecting her second child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha and the couple and their two-year-old daughter Isabelle can’t wait to meet the tot.
Kerry often talks about parenthood with Shonda Rhimes – the creator of political TV thriller ‘Scandal’ in which she plays Olivia Pope – and her therapist and support for mothers is a regular topic of conversation.
In an interview with the new issue of InStyle magazine, she shared: “I’ve really leaned heavily on my boss’ experience. I consider myself busy, but Shonda has about four of five shows, three kids … She says, ‘If you feel like you have just the right amount of help, then you don’t have enough.’ My therapist said this too. You need a lot of support. No just logistically but emotionally and spiritually.”
At the moment Kerry is fully focused on having her baby at the moment but has been thinking about her career and her next move once her child has arrived.
And the ‘Django Unchained’ star is going to keep accepting work based on her own rules and not to please anybody else.
She said: “You arrive at a certain place of achieving and suddenly you feel like your goals are being dictated by other people…Right now, as I get ready for this second baby, it’s really about me being in touch with what I want. I didn’t get here because I was trying to be what somebody else wanted me to be… I am not interested in playing by other people’s rules. So for now, I’m leaving myself open to the adventure.”

The 45-year-old actor and his spouse Christina announced on Instagram on Wednesday (13.10.16) that they’re expecting their second child together and are thrilled that it’s another little boy.
Taking to his Instagram account, the ‘Scream’ star – who also has 12-year-old daughter Coco with his ex-wife Courteney Cox – uploaded a sweet video of their two-year-old son Charlie holding a picture of the brunette beauty’s scan.
He accompanied the adorable clip with the caption: “So incredibly blessed and honored that my wife @christinaarquette is pregnant with a baby boy! Thank you Christina and humbled gratitude to G-D for this tremendous gift! Charlie and Coco are so excited and I am over the moon!!! (sic)”
And the news couldn’t have come at a better time as David was left heartbroken last month after his sister Alexis, who had been battling with HIV for 29 years, tragically died aged just 47.
He said at the time: “Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity.”
David – who has battled with alcohol addiction – and Christina first started dating in 2011 but their romance was very much on and off until they fell pregnant with Charlie in 2013.
They got engaged just three months after the now-toddler was born and tied the knot just under a year later on April 12, 2015 in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, California.
Meanwhile, David recently admitted that becoming a father has changed him drastically and he’s learnt from his mistakes.
He said: “Since Charlie has come into my life, I love Coco more than ever,” he adds. “Having a son has brought back memories and made me realise how much I miss enjoying her as a baby.

Taking to her Twitter account, Charli posted: “i’m so OVER wearing underwear. what’s the point? (sic)”
And Charli recently admitted she only works out to look good in her skimpy outfits.
She said: “I mean I like curves, and I don’t really watch my weight too much. I’m into the gym but more for the outfits. When I say ‘into the gym’ … I went to the gym for the first time last night, and I was way more into what I was wearing than what I was actually doing.”
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty – who is known for her eccentric fashion sense and wacky make-up – has admitted her style is something she’s carved out herself over the years.
She said: “It’s really just how I feel. I don’t really follow trends or anything like that, it’s always just been about dressing for my mood and what I feel like.

Zayn Malik feels relieved to sing about sex

OHMYGOSSIP — Zayn Malik felt relieved to sing about sex after leaving One Direction.
The 23-year-old star quit the chart-topping boyband in March 2015 and has subsequently adopted a more mature sound with the launch of his debut album ‘Pillowtalk’.
In an excerpt from his eponymous autobiography, he said: “Every lyric I’ve ever written has a story behind it. All the hard work that went into the creation of ‘Pillowtalk’ was worthwhile because, as soon as it was finished, I intuitively felt I was on the right path.
“It was a sick cut, nailing the exact sound I wanted to capture in my music. I was also able to sing about a subject that I hadn’t really been able to go near while I was in One Direction: sex.”
Zayn also revealed he hopes his autobiography will help to clarify some of the misconceptions that surround him.
He said: “I’m going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says.”
In recent months, Zayn has cancelled a number of scheduled appearances because he was suffering from anxiety.
In June, for instance, Zayn was due to perform his first UK gig since leaving One Direction at the Capital FM Summertime Ball in London but pulled out at the last minute.
He said at the time: “I flew into the UK last night to appear in my home country in front of my family, friends, and most importantly my UK fans.
“Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me… with the magnitude of the event I have suffered the worst anxiety of my career. I cannot apologise enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me, I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today
“I know those who suffer anxiety will understand and I hope those who don’t can empathises with my situation.”
More recently, he pulled out of a planned appearance at the Autism Rocks Arena in Dubai on October 7, saying he didn’t feel “sufficiently confident” to take to the stage.

Patient Kelly Clarkson

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Clarkson is glad she waited to get married.
The ‘Heartbeat Song’ hitmaker is glad she didn’t tie the knot with Brandon Blackstock until 2013 because she changed “so much” in her 20s.
She said: “I think the biggest thing is just getting married later in life … You change so much in your 20s.
“I mean, my husband got married at 21 in his first marriage, and they both went, ‘What?!’ It can be very hard to grow in the same way. Your 20s are all about growth, and giant mistakes.”
And there was a time when the 34-year-old singer – who has River Rose, two, and Remington Alexander, six months, with Brandon – was plagued by questions about her sexuality because she wasn’t married with kids.
She added: “I’m from a small town in the South. Everyone thought I was gay ’cause I wasn’t married with kids already! And I was like, ‘That’s kind of insulting to the gay community!’ But, especially in this day and age, I had a very high bar.”
Kelly prefers to be independent, something which she learned from her mother.
Speaking at a Good Housekeeping luncheon, she shared: “I have an awesome life, and I can hold this down on my own. I learned that from my mother. She depended a lot, financially, on a man. I don’t depend on Brandon, and he doesn’t depend on me. We made our own way in our own right, and I think that’s what really helps, too.”
Meanwhile, the mother-of-two previously revealed she feels “way more empowered” since she became a mom.
She said: “Having kids cuts out all the bulls**t in the sense that I don’t have time to do stuff I don’t want to do anymore. I don’t have time to make you feel like it was your idea. I just don’t have time for it anymore, so it definitely cuts through the bulls**t and you just go straight for what you want.”

Nicole Kidman felt lonely

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman realised how “lonely” she was following her Oscar win.
The ‘Genius’ star was inspired to find a man to spend her life with when she realised she didn’t have “anyone to share” her Academy Award with.
Speaking at a Q&A session at the BFI London Film Festival, she said: “Winning the Oscar was a turning point, but not in terms of my life as an actor, because it was incredibly validating, but it actually symbolised loneliness to me because I didn’t have anyone to share it with at that stage in my life. I was like, ‘Wow, this means I need to get my act together and I want to fall in love’ so it was weird.”
Meanwhile, the 49-year-old actress – who has Sunday, eight, and Faith, five, with her husband Keith Urban, and Connor, 21, and Isabella, 23, with her ex-spouse Tom Cruise – previously opened up about her parenting skills, admitting she is trying hard not to be “intensely emotional”.
She said: “It’s not necessarily great for a child to have an intensely emotional mother. And I don’t want to be a helicopter parent so I’m trying to…balance the intensity of the love. It’s really hard.”
Nicole and Keith have just celebrated their 10 year anniversary and she feels their marriage is stronger than ever.
She added: “That’s really big for us. It was really up and down for the first three months. We’ve been through a lot for ten years. And we’re stronger than ever. I say that while touching wood, and no way in a boastful way. I just say it with wonder. Absolute wonder …
“When you’re older, you’ve been through things, you’ve made mistakes. So you come into [a second marriage], still giddy, but wanting it to last. We always consider the ‘us’. We say, ‘Is this going to be good for us?’ It’s the simplest phrase, but it works.”

Sarah Jessica Parker: Divorce is scary

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Jessica Parker thinks divorce is “scary”.
The 51-year-old actress – who is married to actor and singer Matthew Broderick – stars in the new black comedy ‘Divorce’ and has revealed she sees plenty of parallels between the struggles of her on-screen character Frances and those of one of her real-life friends.
She shared: “Someone I am very close to is living right now in the same house as the person she is getting divorced from.
“That’s economic circumstances right now. To separate is so costly and scary and, in this case, she has given up her career for her family, and now she is going back to work, but can she really support the children on her own? It must be devastating.”
The former ‘Sex And The City’ star – who has a son, James, 13, and seven-year-old twin girls, Tabitha and Marion, with her husband – revealed she regularly discusses the challenges of long-term relationships with her friends.
She told the Metro newspaper: “I was saying to someone recently: I can’t counsel you. You can only make these decisions for yourself. But it’s really important to think what you want for the future. Who do you want to be with and travel with and sit in that chair with?
“Sometimes, just asking yourself that can help you stop for a second, and perhaps not step outside the boundaries of your relationship.”
‘Divorce’ was Sarah’s idea and the acclaimed writer explained she was keen to star in a TV show that explores the troubles of separation.
She said: “I wanted to tell the story of a marriage. There’s not a lot that’s been portrayed on television about an ordinary middle-class family living at a particular time, economically and emotionally.
“There’s so much to say about this period in a life, this attempt at divorce. There are things that are hilarious and devastating and disappointing, and people make bad choices and listen to bad counsel. Friendships shift and change. Children are hurt, ruined. People behave in ways that are surprising and awful.”

Fraggle Rock returns to TV

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Fraggle Rock’ is returning to TV – 33 years after it premiered.
Jim Henson’s children’s show about a group of carefree creatures known as Fraggles who live in caves beneath a lighthouse was a huge hit in the 1980s and ran for 96 episodes and aired in 98 countries, winning five international Emmy Awards.
The original series has now been remastered and will return to its original home of HBO for a full run, the Jim Henson Company has announced.
A statement from the company revealed: “In remastering the series illuminate has created a contemporary look for the series with meticulous attention paid to every detail – sharpening the images, cleaning up the contrast, increasing the vibrancy of the colours and re-formatting for wide-screen – all under the careful supervision of Brian Henson (Jim’s son).”
The Fraggles share their world with the tiny industrious Doozers who make buildings out of candy that the Fraggles eat and a family of Gorgs, fat furry creatures who hate the Fraggles because they ‘steal’ the radishes they grow.
The puppet programme was also famous for its musical elements, often featuring folk, blues, gospel, country and rock songs, while the show was popular with parents for promoting themes of friendship and tolerance and environmental respect.
A ‘Fraggle Rock’ movie is also in development with Joseph Gordon-Levitt starring as the lead character.
Joseph previously admitted the show ‘Fraggle Rock’ was one of his favourite ever shows and he is confident he and producer Lisa Henson – the CEO of The Jim Henson Company and the late puppeteer’s daughter – can do the series and Jim proud.
In a statement, Joseph said: “The first screen personas I ever loved were Henson creations, first on ‘Sesame Street’, and then on ‘Fraggle Rock’. Jim Henson’s characters make you laugh and sing, but they’re also layered, surprising, and wise. From Oscar the Grouch, to Yoda, to the Fraggles. I’ve never stopped loving his work, even as a young frisky man, and on into adulthood. Collaborating with Lisa Henson makes me confident we can do something that Jim would have loved.”
