OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne has inked a deal with Republic Records in North America.
The 23-year-old One Direction singer already has a huge contract in the UK with Capitol Records but has set his sights on breaking into the US as a solo artist.
The ‘History’ hitmaker’s manager, Simon Oliveira – the co-founder of Doyen Global – said of the signing: “With Republic’s track record of launching powerhouse talent in the US including superstars like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Ariana Grade, Lorde and countless others, I am more than confident we have assembled the best team alongside Capitol’s UK label to launch and shepherd Liam’s solo career.”
And Republic Records have also teased new music will be “coming soon” from the hunky pop star.
A statement made by the label – responsible for helping to launch the careers of Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and James Bay – said: “A driving force of One Direction with numerous key songwriting credits, he sold over 20 million albums worldwide as part of the group in addition to receiving six BRIT Awards, seven American Music Awards, 11 MTV Europe Music Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, and 27 Teen Choice Awards. He kicks off his solo career with new music coming soon via an alliance with Capitol UK label, led by Nick Raphael.”
Liam – who is dating Cheryl Fernandez-Versini – announced the news of his deal with Capitol in July but said One Direction would always be his “family”.
He said at the time: “I’m really happy to have signed to such a prestigious label as Capitol Records UK.
“Capitol Records has an amazing history stretching right back before even Frank Sinatra and I’m really looking forward to becoming part of their story.
“One Direction will always be my family; I’m now excited to show what I can do as a solo artist.”
It comes after Simon Cowell – who guided Liam and his One Direction bandmates to fame after discovering them on ‘The X Factor’ – admitted he was disappointed Liam, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson didn’t choose to stay with Sony’s Syco label to forge their individual careers.
He previously said: “I worked with these guys for six years, so I always hoped they would all stay within what I call the Sony family, but I think only one won’t.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Toni Braxton has resumed touring after being hospitalised due to complications related to her battle with lupus.
The ‘Breathe Again’ singer was admitted to a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday (15.10.16) and was forced to cancel her show in the city after she received further treatment for the autoimmune disease following two shows in Detroit and Kansas City.
The 49-year-old star returned to the stage at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago on Sunday night (16.10.16) and thanked her fans for their support.
She wrote on Twitter: “all TONIGHT at the Arie Crown Theater!! #TheHitsTour … I’m heeeerrreeeeee!!! #TheWindyCity … Hey guys, thanks for all of your well wishes and understanding. I am out of the hospital, and en route to CHICAGO! I can not wait to see you (sic)”
It’s the second time Toni has been taken into hospital for complications related to the disease.
The news comes after the R&B superstar expressed how “excited” she was to be able to get back on stage after her first hospitalisation earlier this month.
She said at the time: “I am so excited about going back on the road and seeing all of my wonderful fans and friends.
“Everyone’s life is complicated and this is just a condition that I live with.”
Toni first revealed she suffers with the potentially life-threatening condition in 2010.
Her uncle previously died from the disease, and her brother is also a carrier.
The ‘Unbreak My Heart’ singer previously admitted that the hardest part of living with lupus was having to perform, but until this month she prided herself on never having cancelled a show.
She said: “That’s the toughest part when I have to perform. So often, when it’s like that, it’s a lot of, ‘You sing!’ to the audience, you know. They kind of help me out a little bit without realising it.
“I’ve never [cancelled a show]. Even if I can’t perform, I still figure it out. Sometimes I look back [at] that evening [and] I go, ‘How did I get through that?'”
Toni’s next concert is at the BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Mississippi on Thursday (20.10.16).

OHMYGOSSIP — Bruce Springsteen felt like he had a “great kinship” with Prince.
The 66-year-old rocker was left devastated when the ‘Kiss’ hitmaker passed away at his Paisley Park home in April – after an accidental overdose of the drug fentanyl – because he taught him a lot about being an entertainer and he had a great affinity with the late star.
He said: “It was a terrible shame. It was a great loss and a tragedy. I felt a great kinship with Prince. And he was a guy, when I’d go to see him, I’d say, ‘Oh, man, OK, back to the drawing board.'”
The ‘Born to Run’ hitmaker says Prince – who was 57 when he died – knew “everything” about music, was one of “the greatest showman” on earth and inspired his music.
Talking about a film made about the pop culture icon, which he saw on American talk show ‘The Arsenio Hall Show’, Bruce told Rolling Stone magazine: “There was a film of him on the Arsenio Hall show, where he plays a series of songs in a row. It’s just some of the greatest showmanship I’ve ever seen.
And he knew everything. He knew all about it and then could put it to work.
“Just since the 60s and 70s and your Sam and Daves and your James Browns, he’s one of the greatest showmen to come along. I studied that stuff a lot and put as much of it to use as I can with my talents. But he just took it to another level.”
The Boss paid tribute to Prince earlier this year, when he took to the stage with his E Street Band at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, to honour the late musician with a six-minute performance of ‘Purple Rain’ whilst the stage was awash with purple light.
Speaking at the show, Springsteen said: “Prince forever. God bless!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Jonas insists he didn’t mean to “hurt” anyone when he told the story of how he lost his virginity.
The 27-year-old singer recalled during a Reddit AMA last week how he had “trashed” his friend’s room looking for condoms when he slept with then-girlfriend Ashley Greene for the first time.
And though the ‘Twilight’ actress later appeared to slam him for his comments, sharing a social media post which simply read “Class is timeless”, the DNCE frontman claims he was simply being “honest” and telling his own stories.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Life’s too short, you know?
“I mean ultimately, I think of myself as an honest guy. There are just those moments in life where you have to be true to yourself and true to the world.
“I’m not out to hurt anybody, but I think, ultimately, I’m just telling my stories and what I can say from my heart.”
During his Reddit AMA, Joe admitted the circumstances surrounding how he lost his virginity made for a “great story”.
He recounted: “I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley. You can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is.
“It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer, Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian has thanked Blac Chyna’s son for helping him fall in love with her.
The 29-year-old sock designer took to Instagram to wish four-year-old King Cairo a happy birthday on Sunday (16.10.16) and admitted one of the first things that attracted him to his fiancee – who is due to give birth to their daughter next month – was seeing how good a parent she is.
Alongside a cute picture of himself and King on a slide, he wrote: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY KING‼️ THANK YOU for letting me see what a great Mama you got ! That was the first thing I fell in love with,,, The way she Loves FOR You is something I can’t wait for ! (sic)”
And Rob also spoke of his excitement at his impending fatherhood.

The young birthday boy celebrated at the weekend with two Ferrari-themed birthday parties.

Little King was surrounded by sports car decorations, including a racing car made entirely out of balloons that rested on top of the swimming pool, a racetrack, a Ferris wheel, a trampoline, an inflatable slide, and horses at his party.
Kylie’s family, including Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Scott Disick and their three children Penelope, four, Mason, six, and 22-month-old son Reign, joined the couple and King to celebrate the special day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Girls Aloud reunited for Nicola Roberts’ 31st birthday this month.
Kimberley Walsh has revealed she and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini attended a dinner party hosted for Nicola last week to celebrate her turning 31 on October 5.
The trio and other guests dined on a “Moroccan feast” and had a great catch up, and pregnant Kimberley was happy it was at someone’s home because she currently needs to make constant toilet trips due to the weight of her baby pushing down on her bladder.
However, the evening did not see a complete Girls Aloud reunion as Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle were not present at the meal.
Writing in her blog for HelloMagazine.com, Kimberley revealed: “Last week I went to a dinner party to celebrate my friend Nicola Roberts’ birthday, it was so lovely. It was just a group of her closest friends, Cheryl was there too. One of her good friends hosted it and had put on an amazing Moroccan feast! Having dinner parties at home is the best! Long gone are the days of going to clubs and partying till the early hours. We had some great birthdays back in the Girls Aloud days but these days we’re definitely all much happier to chill in the privacy of one of our homes and enjoy a proper catch up. It was perfect for me being heavily pregnant as I’m constantly running to the loo all night and could stay in my comfy clothes!”
Kimberley and her husband Justin Scott are expecting their second child together, a younger sibling for their two-year-old son Bobby.
The ‘Biology’ hitmaker has overhauled her diet to ensure her tot is getting all the required vitamins and nutrients and her new dishes are being enjoyed by all the family – even Bobby.
She shared: “Over the last few months I’ve really got into cooking from scratch … Once I became pregnant again I started thinking about what I was eating and started to become more wary of the things added to pre-packaged food … I wanted to make sure that I knew exactly what I was feeding Bobby and my new baby … My hard work paid off recently when Bobby started eating the food I had made from scratch. Up until then most of the food I cooked from scratch for Bobby didn’t get eaten at all which is a bit of a thankless task when you go to the effort and it ends up in the bin … I’ve started making my own chicken dippers and homemade pizzas and he likes things like cottage pie and lasagna which is great. He loves getting involved with the cooking too which is great because it actually keeps him in one place for more than ten minutes!”

OHMYGOSSIP — The Rolling Stones praised Bob Dylan for his Nobel Prize win at the weekend.
The two artists headlined Desert Trip festival in California on Friday (14.10.16) and the ‘Brown Sugar’ group’s singer Sir Mick Jagger took time out from their set to congratulate the 75-year-old songwriter – who had opened the night’s bill – on being the first musician to be given the Novel Prize for Literature.
Mick said: “I want to thank Bob Dylan for an amazing set.
“We have never shared the stage with a Nobel Prize winner before. Bob is like our own Walt Whitman.”
Guitarist Keith Richards added: “I can’t think of anybody that deserved it better.”
It was announced last week the ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ hitmaker had won the Nobel Prize for Literature, having been chosen “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition”, according to Sara Danius, permanent Secretary of the Nobel Foundation.
Dylan – who changed his real name from Robert Zimmerman to his stage name because he was inspired by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas – is also the first American to win the accolade since novelist Toni Morrison in 1993.
Danius has described the folk rock legend as a master of reinvention and a worthy recipient among his Nobel Prize peers because like their work has, his songs will undoubtedly stand the test of time.
She said he is: “A great poet in the English speaking tradition. A great sampler … and for 54 years he has been at it, reinventing himself. If you look far back, 5000 years, you discover Homer and Sappho. They wrote poetic texts which were meant to be performed, and it’s the same way for Bob Dylan. We still read Homer and Sappho, and we enjoy it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard is to get an hour-long special episode of ‘Loose Women’ dedicated to him.
The 76-year-old music legend is going to be talking about his new album ‘Just… Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll’ – which will incredibly be his 101st LP – performing tracks from it and chatting openly with the panel which will include his dear friend and regular ‘Loose Women’ panellist Gloria Hunniford.
In a video message broadcast to viewers on the programme that aired on ITV on Monday (17.10.16), Cliff said: “I am so excited because I’ve just heard that ‘Loose Women’ are going to do a Cliff Richard special, I’m thrilled! ‘Loose Women’ I’m sure you’ve got a lot of things planned for me, should I be worried? I hope not! I can’t wait to be there.”
Gloria, 76, can’t wait for her pal to come on the show and revealed the show is looking for the UK’s biggest Cliff fan to be part of the programme which airs on Tuesday November 15.
She said: “It’s going to be terrific because the audience will be full of Cliff fans, he’s going to be singing live, he’s going to be talking about the new album and we’re looking for probably the best Cliff fan ever, so if you think you’re that person do get in touch … It’s going to be live of course, and he’s looking forward to it and so are we.”
Cliff is a friend of ‘Loose Women’ and he decided to give his first interview to Gloria on the show after historic sex abuse charges brought against him were dropped by the police in June.
The ‘Devil Woman’ hitmaker was subject to a 22-month long investigation after four sex abuse claims – said to have taken place between 1958 and 1983 – were made against him and he broke his two-year silence to discuss his ordeal on the daytime talk show.
Speaking about how he felt when the investigation began, Cliff said: “That first day when I got back from the visit to my winemaker was probably the deepest and darkest hole I’ve ever been in. I came back to my farm, it was surrounded by press and photographers. I lived in that one section of the house, fortunately it’s a big house, for two weeks before I ever went out again. I just hid away, and that first day when I came back, I had friends staying with me. And a very good friend of mine came in and I was actually on my knees, and I was inconsolable. I was weeping and crying and all I heard was footsteps and he said, ‘Get up! You’ve got to get up. Get up, hold your head up, you have nothing to be guilty of. You have nothing to weep about.’ And I said, ‘OK,’ and I got up.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Azealia Banks’ mother is really disappointed in her.
The 25-year-old rapper – who was banned from Twitter over her racial outbursts and controversial comments – has realised she needs to stop being a “crazy girl” after her mum gave her a wake up call following her clash with Zayn Malik earlier this year.
Speaking to London’s Evening Standard newspaper, she explained: “My mother has never reprimanded me but she reprimanded me after the thing with Zayn happened. She was like, ‘Azealia, you hurt a lot of people’. I was like, ‘f**k’. ”
The brunette star came under fire in May this year when she accused the former One Direction star of “stealing” her ideas because of apparent similarities between her music videos and the stills in his ‘Like I Would’, which he dropped in March.
She said at the time: “Damn Zayn be moodboarding the f*** out of me (sic)”
When the 23-year-old singer challenged her, Azealia seemingly lost her temper and said: “U.S.A IS ABOUT TO TEACH YOU WHO NOT TO F–K WITH!! (sic)”
She then referred to Zayn – who is British-Pakistani – as a “sand n*****r” and a “curry-scented bitch,” which ultimately led to her being banned from Twitter.
She said: “It finally reconciled these two conflicting thoughts I had about being real and being professional.
“I realised you’re not keeping it real by being a crazy girl. You don’t lose anything by keeping your mouth shut. So maybe it’s time to stop being a crazy girl. You know sometimes you get carried away when you’re joking. There’s this crude, ignorant, mixed-up New York City humour where people call each other all kinds of f**ked-up s**t. I use the N-word all the time. I was being stupid, not trying to be hurtful.”
However, it seems the ‘Gimme A Chance’ hitmaker hasn’t learnt from her mistakes as she’s landed herself in hot water once again after she was thrown out of Russell Crowe’s hotel suite when she allegedly threatened to “stab” his guests in the throat.
The incident, which took place over the weekend, reportedly unravelled when Azealia mocked the 52-year-old actor’s music selection and called him a “boring white” man.
A female friend then jumped to their host’s defence and suggested the rapper be quiet, prompting an astonishing tirade from the hot-headed rapper.
She allegedly said: “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s**t.”
She is also reported to have used the n-word a number of times, but her host remained “surprisingly calm”.
When Azealia reached for her glass and raised it as if she were about to throw it, the ‘Gladiator’ star grabbed her in a bear hug and carried her out of the suite, before carrying hotel security to remove her from the grounds.
Though four guests have given statements claiming Azealia was behaving “erratically” and confirming she was the one using racist terms, she took to her Facebook account to accuse Russell of choking her and spitting on her.
In a now-deleted post, she wrote: “To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me a n****r, choked me, threw me out and spat at me.
“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time.
“The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today.”
Another deleted post read: “Just feel so low and mishandled and alone and f*****g depressed right now. I wish I had someone to beat him up for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Hemsworth was too “scared” to have breakfast with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
The 35-year-old hunk – who is the older brother of actors Chris and Liam Hemsworth – thinks his legendary ‘Westworld’ co-star is “lovely”, but has been too nervous to spend time with him off set.
He said: “I get to do a few things with Anthony, and I wouldn’t say I was hanging out with him, but yeah, he’s a lovely, lovely gentlemen.
“He’s quite happy to have a chat. I’ve met him before, so it definitely makes it a little bit easier and helped me calm down my nerves a little bit that’s for sure. The first thing he says to me is, ‘How’s Chris?’
“He actually invited me to have breakfast with him and I just couldn’t do it because … I just … it’s too scary! It’s exactly that reaction of like, ‘I can’t go and have breakfast — you’re Tony Hopkins! What am I going to talk about?’ ”
However, Luke is confident he’ll “work up to” their breakfast meeting eventually.
He added to Vulture: “It just hasn’t come to fruition yet. I’m still working myself up to it.”
Luke’s admission comes shortly after fellow ‘Westworld’ star Evan Rachel Wood admitted she burst into tears after filming her first scenes for the show with the ‘Silence of the Lambs’ actor.
She said: “He really is the greatest actor I’ve ever worked with. I did a couple scenes and afterwards just had to go into a corner and weep.
“And someone found me and said, ‘Oh my God, are you OK? Did the scene go badly?’ I was crying. And I went ‘No, it went really well. I’m just crying because I’ve hit a milestone as an actor. That’s a little overwhelming and I’m taking a moment.’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Gibson claims he’s been sober for 10 years.
The 60-year-old was the subject of controversy in 2006 when he was arrested by a policeman in Malibu for drunk driving, and was subsequently filmed giving an anti-Semitic rant.
He then landed himself in trouble again in 2010 when his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva claimed the ‘What Women Want’ actor had punched her and broke her teeth. She then released secretly recorded audio in which Mel allegedly went on another racially-charged tirade.
Now, the ‘Braveheart’ star has credited Alcoholics Anonymous for helping him clean up his life, and insists he’s a changed man.
Speaking to Australia’s Sunday Night Channel 7, he said: “I am a member of (the) 12-step program and I achieved sobriety like that. I’ve got 10 years of sobriety under my belt.
“I had other lengths before that like eight years one time, fall off, four years, it’s like that, like through a revolving door.”
And the star now describes his past outbursts as the “worst moment” of his life, and says what he did “wasn’t meant to be public”.
He said: “Imagine the worst moment you have even had being recorded and broadcast to the world and it wasn’t meant to be public. You didn’t stand on a soapbox and do it, but that’s what happens, you know.”
Despite still being affected by his previous actions, Mel doesn’t want to have a “pity party” but hates false reports claiming he has been drinking.
He said: “It is disheartening when you have been like 10 years dry on the wagon, sober and you have to read every year or so that you’re loaded so that’s disappointing because it is like a public notice that you’re loaded but you’re not.
“[But] We can all get into to feeling sorry for ourselves, having a pity party about the past or what has happened, it is not worth it because it affects the present and it affects the future.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards has confirmed her former fiancé Zayn Malik broke up with her via a text message.
The 23-year-old former One Direction member called time on his relationship with his then-fiancée in 2015, and it was speculated at the time that he had done so via text, rather than face to face.
Now, the Little Mix singer, also 23, has confirmed that the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker did in fact break things off with a “simple text message”, and describes the experience as the “worst time in [her] life”.
Writing in the girl group’s upcoming book ‘Our World’, the blonde beauty said: “It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.
“Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
Meanwhile, the ‘It’s You’ singer – who is now in a relationship with model Gigi Hadid – previously denied claims he’d broken up with the ‘Black Magic’ hitmaker by text, saying he had “more respect” for her than that.
He said: “If you could word it exactly this way, I’d be very appreciative. I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.
“I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that.
“She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that.”
Little Mix’s new song, ‘Shout Out to My Ex’, is said to be about Zayn and contains lyrics including: “Hope she gettin’ better sex, Hope she ain’t fakin’ it like I did, babe. Took four long to call it quits, forget that boy I’m over it.

OHMYGOSSIP — Phil Collins’ third wife Orianne Cevey didn’t give him a penny of the £25 million he paid her during their divorce battle when they got back together.

Speaking at a press conference at the Royal Albert Hall today (17.10.16) hosted by Jools Holland to announce his ‘Not Dead Yet: Live 2017 Tour’, Phil said: “I’m back with my third wife so I’ve only really been divorced twice you could say, if you were being generous.
“And she didn’t give me the money back.”
Phil and Orianne – who was left partially paralysed with spinal disorder Brown-Séquard syndrome following an operation in 2014 – have two kids together, Nicholas, 15, and Matthew, 11.
They married in Switzerland in 1999 but split in 2006 and divorced two years later and he started drinking heavily.
Phil – who has son Simon, 40, from his first marriage to Andrea Bertorelli from 1975 to 1980, during which he adopted her daughter Joely, 44, and daughter Lily from his 12-year marriage to Jill Tavelman which ended in 1996 – has been having therapy recently to deal with his medical issues.
He added: “I had back surgery because 60 years of drumming messed my back and hips up. It’s left me as of now, a year on, with a dropped foot, my right foot doesn’t have any feeling.
“I’m hoping in time that will get better as nerves regenerate. So getting some physical stuff done is at the top of my to do list.
“I’m doing a lot of therapy which is very good. Divorces and drinking don’t really get in the way of this.”
Phil’s son Nicholas has followed in his footsteps and become a drummer, as did his eldest son Simon, and the teenager is set to play alongside his father on the ‘Easy Lover’ hitmaker’s upcoming European tour.
He added: “Nicholas who is 15 is a fantastic drummer, my oldest son Simon is too but he has his own career and very firm views about what he wants to do.
“Nicholas is in the learning stage. We did three shows in Europe and he played and all the band were very impressed.
“He’ll go out with me and he’ll be 16.”
Phil has come out of retirement after 10 years to announce his next run of gigs, including a five-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall next June.
He will then head to Cologne, Germany, and Paris, France, for two dates apiece before having “a lie down”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss has reportedly ended her relationship with Nikolai von Bismarck.
The 42-year-old supermodel has called time on her romance with 29-year-old Nikolai after one particularly “heated argument” which was the final straw in a long string of rows for the couple.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kate and Nikolai have been arguing a lot in the last few months but they had one row recently which was the final straw. It sounds like it was a really heated argument and Kate has said she is done with him after that.
“She was really in love with him but has said she can’t take any more and that she now has to move on.”
On top of the arguments with Kate, Nikolai is also reported to have been at loggerheads with Kate’s 14-year-old daughter Lila, who “didn’t approve” of their relationship.
The source added: “Nikolai and Lila used to argue sometimes and it was always over petty stuff. He once switched the Wi-Fi off to annoy Lila after an argument so she couldn’t use her phone and go on Snapchat and Instagram. Towards the end Lila did not approve of Nikolai and did not really like it when he was around.”
For Kate, she had no hesitation in prioritising her daughter Lila over Nikolai.
The source said: “[Lila] is the most important person in Kate’s life and Kate picked up on that. She has told her friends that she was aware that Nikolai was having an adverse effect on her relationship with her daughter and that was a massive factor in her decision to end it.”
Kate and Nikolai first started dating last year, following the breakdown of Kate’s four-year marriage to The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince – who she is in the process of divorcing.

OHMYGOSSIP — Natalie Portman says her children are her “good luck charms”.
The 35-year-old actress is currently expecting her second child with husband Benjamin Millepied and she won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in ‘Black Swan’ in 2011 when she was pregnant with their son Aleph, now five, and whilst she admits she doesn’t think her pregnancy won her the award, she does think her children are “miracles” who make her so happy.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I think [children are] good luck charms in life. They’re the best things. The best main miracles. I don’t necessarily connect it [to winning an Oscar], but it is certainly a joy.”
The Hollywood star first showed off her baby bump back in August, when she sported a pink one-shoulder dress on the red carpet at the premiere of her film ‘Planetarium’ at the Venice Film Festival.
‘Planetarium’ is due out in November and biopic ‘Jackie’ – in which she plays Jacqueline Kennedy, the wife of assassinated President John F. Kennedy – is coming in December.
Once Portman has baby number two she may have to re-think what acting jobs she takes on as she has previously admitted she finds it tough to juggle work and her home life.
She said: “I will never have the boredom or repetitiveness of an office.
“But every job takes me to a new place with a new schedule, and it requires a reinvention of ritual each time, even more so with a family.
“Every time I go on location, I have to figure out where to live, what activities are available for my son, how and when we will travel from our home base.
“When I’m not working. I’m pretty much exclusively with my family, so my rituals have to do with school, meal preparation, play dates, bedtime.”
