Ed Sheeran surprises fan in hospital

OHMYGOSSIP — An Ed Sheeran fan had the shock of her life when he turned up to serenade her in hospital.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ hitmaker popped in to the children’s ward of Epsom Hospital in Surrey to see nine-year-old Melody Driscoll, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Retts Syndrome.
Melody looked overjoyed to see the 25-year-old singer at her bedside and he gifted her a pink guitar which he had signed and performed his hits ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Photograph’ for her and her family.
His visit comes after the family and Croydon Police launched a campaign to bring her face to face with Ed.
PC Stewart Lawless said: “Due to Melody’s health conditions doctors told her family that she would only live until the age of five, however almost nearing her tenth birthday she is showing how much of a fighter she is.
“Despite her health condition Melody has always battled through with the help of music by Ed Sheeran and loves his songs music as they help her through her time in the hospital.
“Melody also loves Beauty and the Beast and police in Croydon ask that any residents wishing to give Melody a happy Christmas this year please donate Beauty and the Beast gifts to either New Addington or Croydon Police station addressed to ‘FIELDWAY LPT.'”
This isn’t the first time Ed – who is currently on a hiatus from music – has done his bit for charity after he previously gave his “whole wardrobe” to charity shops in his hometown of Framlingham, Suffolk.
He said: “Given my whole wardrobe to a bunch of charity shops. All stuff worn on shoots, videos and live.Stuff ranging from the Ralph hoodies, Fenchurch T-shirts and Nike trainers (sic)”

Giovanna Fletcher: McBusted will reunite

OHMYGOSSIP — Giovanna Fletcher says McBusted will reunite.
The 31-year-old author and television personality – who has two-year-old Buzz and eight-month-old Buddy with Tom Fletcher – is confident that the supergroup, which comprises of Tom’s band McFly and Busted, will make a return to the stage.
Asked if her sons’ prefer McFly or McBusted, she said: “There was a time Buzz only wanted to watch McBusted because he was obsessed with Matt [Willis]. But lately he’s turned his attention to McFly and is in total awe of the boys. We went along to soundcheck while the McFly boys were on tour actually and it was so cute to see Buzz jumping around on stage with them …
“McFly have been in my life for a long time and will always have a huge hold of my heart. McBusted was like a romantic holiday fling which you just have to embrace and run with. I’m sure all the boys will work together again in the future, but it’s been fantastic to see the four McFly guys on stage together playing their huge back catalogue!”
The ‘Dream a Little Dream’ novelist – who has teamed up with Cadbury Daily Milk Buttons to help children and their parents understand about food provenance – can’t believe how old her son is getting and says he comes out with the funniest things now he can talk.
She added: “Well Buzz is properly talking now and makes us laugh all the time with the things he says. He regularly talks through what we’re about to do, as though it’s a checklist and then has a little chuckle at the end – as though he’s chuffed with himself for being able to say it all. It’s adorable.
“We’ve recently been watching ‘The Little Mermaid’ and as a result he’s become obsessed with boobs – which always makes for a comical conversation.”
Cadbury has teamed up with Giovanna Fletcher to create a short news film showing where the milk in Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons comes from. To watch the film go to Facebook.com/CadburyUK or tweet them on @CadburyUK.

Gigi Hadid won't 'embarrass' Zayn malik at American Music Awards

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid has vowed not to “embarrass” her boyfriend Zayn Malik when she co-hosts the 2016 American Music Awards.
The 21-year-old supermodel’s boyfriend is up for the New Artist of the Year prize at the annual ceremony, held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 20, and the blonde beauty will do all she can not to make the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker blush should he win.
Asked how she will congratulate him, she said: “I don’t know yet, wow. To be the winner’s girlfriend, you don’t want to embarrass them, but you also want to be super-excited for them. I’m just going to try and not be the embarrassing girlfriend. That’s my goal.”
Gigi will co-host the awards with former ‘Saturday Night Live’ star Jay Pharoah and has admitted she is already struggling with nerves and will probably worry all through rehearsals if it doesn’t go to plan
She told Billboard magazine: “Being an American Music Awards host – I’m excited, a little nervous, but I think that’s important. If I’m nervous until rehearsal, that’s good, and if I’m nervous after rehearsal, I don’t know if that’s as good. I usually just try and have a good rehearsal and have it be positive and fun, but also get out the kinks that you’re worried about, because then you can just have fun. It also moves so quickly once the show starts that you just have to know what you’re doing.”
The ceremony – which will broadcast live on ABC – will feature performances from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Halsey, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, James Bay, Fifth Harmony, Green Day, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd and The Chainsmokers.
Sting is this year’s American Music Award of Merit honouree, while Drake leads the nominations for the ceremony with a record-breaking 13 nods.

Amy Adams: Motherhood opened my eyes

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Adams says motherhood “opened her eyes”.
The ‘Arrival’ star welcomed daughter Aviana into the world six years ago and admits she would have taken a completely different approach to playing a grieving mother in the science fiction film if she was childless.
She said: “It would have been a very different performance. I just have a different relationship with compassion since becoming a parent, and compassion for other people – not just my daughter.
“It opened up my eyes and got me outside of myself. I hate to think that I was so wrapped up in my own stuff before I had her but I was, so now I’m able to look at things from a different lens. It took me out of myself.”
And her co-star Jeremy Renner – who has three-year-old Ava with his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco – agreed with Amy, admitting having a child “essentially personalises selflessness”.
He told Sky News: “It personalises selflessness essentially. You’re already built with compassion and empathy as a woman I think, but then you have your own child, it makes it very personal understanding that selflessness.”
Meanwhile, the 42-year-old actress previously admitted her daughter – who she has with husband Darren Le Gallo – doesn’t think she’s very “rock ‘n’ roll”.
She said: “She defines herself differently to me and I like that. She said, ‘Mum, I’m more rock ‘n’ roll than you. You’re not very rock ‘n’ roll.’ And I said, ‘You’re right.’ …
“I don’t know if I feel more powerful as an actress but I feel powerful as a mother and more powerful than I did in my 20s. I dont know what that means for my career – that’s yet to be seen. But as a woman, if I lose something because of the honesty of who I am, then I don’t care.”

Zendaya Coleman: Hollywood's 'controlling'

OHMYGOSSIP — Zendaya Coleman finds Hollywood “controlling, weird and manipulative”.
The 20-year-old star – who rose to fame starring in Disney’s ‘Shake It Up’ – can’t believe how many people lie in the film industry.
Asked what surprised her most about working in Hollywood, she said: “It’s very controlling and weird and manipulative. People want to take from you.
“People lie. To people in Hollywood, [lying] is like drinking coffee, it’s crazy.”
And whilst Zendaya likes to use her social media channels to share selfies and updates on her work, she sees the importance of using it to raise awareness too.
She added: “I like to post selfies and fun things that I’m working on. But recently my Snapchat has become like a history class … I feel like if you have a platform, it’s your obligation to talk about how you feel. To me there’s no excuse to be ignorant anymore. Everything is at your fingertips.
“You can’t pretend like you’re not seeing innocent black men being killed. We have videos, and they’re circulating all over the internet. Or you can’t pretend you’re not understanding things about politics or hearing what people are saying who are our presidential candidates. It’s an interesting time. And I feel like it’s allowing us millennials to really take over.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ star admits it is difficult growing up in the spotlight and being constantly judged before you’ve even discovered who you are yourself.
She added to The Hollywood Reporter magazine: “Everybody’s normal. The only difference is they’re living out what would happen to a normal teenager in front of everybody, which is hard because you have people judging you before you even know who you are yet.”

Chelsea Handler wouldn't date herself

OHMYGOSSIP — Chelsea Handler wouldn’t date herself.
The 41-year-old star understands why people may be put off from dating her because she is “loud” and agrees that she probably wouldn’t go on a date with herself if she had the choice.
She said: “I don’t think loud women are that attractive, I get it. If I wasn’t me, I wouldn’t be into me either, I get that, but it’s necessary. We’ve come a long way and we have a long way to go and so do a million other people.
“It’s not just about being a woman, it’s about being a million things. It’s also about everybody being equal, and so I think that’s a really important issue for me and it’s about getting that messaging out and just being fun and cool and informative and doing what you can in your little way to contribute.”
Chelsea is now hosting her own eponymous Netflix show and feels “more adult” as she is able to speak out about the important issues.
She told Australia’s Fairfax Media: “I feel free, I feel more adult. I feel like I just got my s**t together a little bit more. People come to me for information that they normally wouldn’t come to [me for]. I definitely command a different level of respect from people, so that’s good …
“I don’t think I’m that important, but I do think that I have an opportunity and I don’t want to squander it. I do think it’s important to look around and notice that just because something doesn’t affect you maybe in your small life, it does definitely affect people around you and you’ve got to do what you can. You’ve got to do something. I don’t have a family to raise. I don’t have kids to worry about. I have no excuse not to get involved, so that’s my reasoning.”

John Legend: We need more love in the world

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend thinks”we need more love” in the wake of the US Presidential election result.
The 37-year-old singer took to Instagram on Wednesday (09.11.16) to share a heartfelt message reflecting on the results of Tuesday’s (08.11.16) election which saw controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump take the majority over Democratic representative Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House.
Sharing a picture of himself with his wife Chrissy Teigen and their six-month-old daughter Luna, the ‘All of Me’ hitmaker wrote: “In this time of conflict and uncertainty, it’s clear that we all need more love. I find it in my family and in my music.
“Embracing my family has made today full of love and light despite the bad news. But it’s also important that we show love and empathy to people who may not look like us or live like us. Those who are marginalised and rejected, feared and left behind.”
The musician also used the post to promote the video for his new single ‘Love Me Now’, which he revealed would be released on Friday (11.11.16) in order to promote the idea that “love is universal” in the wake of the election.
He continued: “We didn’t think about the election when we planned the release date for this song and video.
“The video premieres Friday and features a diverse group of people from all over the world. From Standing Rock to Iraq, from Orlando to the DR.
“Love is universal. We all need it. We all can give it. And it will ultimately win over hate. I have to believe that.”
And the ‘Ordinary People’ singer made sure to point out that the election result was not one he “wanted and expected”, as he said he backed “unity and inclusion” instead of “hate and suspicion”
He said: “You all know how I wanted and expected the election to go. I wanted us to choose unity and inclusion over building walls and singling out ethnic and religious groups for hate and suspicion. I wanted us to choose progress over yearning for some long-lost mythical era when America was supposedly greatest. I wanted us to destroy the highest glass ceiling instead of electing an admitted sexual assaulter. But we did not.”

Kylie Jenner has a 'boys' room'

OHMYGOSSIP — Kylie Jenner has a “boys’ room” in her house.
The 19-year-old beauty – who is dating Tyga – has been treating fans to a tour of her luxury Californian abode on Snapchat, and among one of the unusual features in her mansion is a dedicated mancave.
While it is unclear exactly what the room looks like, a Snapchatted image revealed a coffee table boasting multiple copies of adult publication Playboy and a glass ashtray.
Kylie also showed off her vast art collection, and also the bedroom reserved just for her dogs Norman and Bambi.
The room boasts a plush bed, fancy fireplace and even statues of the pooches.
It’s not known if her other puppy Penny, who was given to her by her best friend Jordyn Woods for her recent birthday in August, has a separate room or whether she shares with Kylie’s little sausage dog Ernie in a different area of the expensive house.
The dogs also have their own Instagram profile, which features photos of them, and they regularly feature on Kylie’s Snapchat.

Chelsea Handler cried at US election result

OHMYGOSSIP — Chelsea Handler was left in tears after finding out Donald Trump would become the 45th President of the United States.
The 41-year-old star broke down as she filmed her Netflix show on Wednesday evening (09.11.16) and discussed the result of the election – which saw Trump take the White House over Democratic party candidate Hillary Clinton – with Senator Barbara Boxer.
She told the audience: “Oh God, I really hate f***ing crying.”
And later, she admitted she really wanted to move to “f****ing Spain” as she tried to regain her composure and continue filming, The Sun newspaper reports.
Earlier in the day, Chelsea’s warm up act had warned the audience, who had gathered to see the show being filmed, that the mood would be slightly different than usual.
And Chelsea found herself getting teary-eyed again when her guest urged Democrat supporters to continue the work Clinton had done on the campaign trial.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has also been vocal of her dismay at Trump’s win on her social media accounts.
Taking to Twitter, she wrote: “My condolences to the President and First Lady. We will keep aiming high. We may not have you honored you this time, but we will honor you …
“I didn’t think I would be able to do my show today, but then I saw [Hillary Clinton] give her concession speech, and I thought, let’s really honor her. (sic)”
On Instagram, she showed her support for Clinton by posting a picture of a part of a speech made by the 69-year-old politician.

Olly Murs suprises school children with guest appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs returned to his old school ahead of this year’s Children in Need fundraiser.
The 32-year-old singer treated the pupils of Notley High School in Essex, England – where Olly himself was educated – to a performance of his new single ‘Grow Up’ before stopping to talk to them about ways they can help raise money for the BBC fundraising event.
Children in Need aims to make a positive change change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, with a vision that every child should have a safe, secure, childhood and a chance to reach their potential.
This year, the charity has launched the Big Spotacular, which aims to get school children involved with the fundraising campaigns.
Speaking at the school, Olly said: “It was such a fun day, I absolutely loved being back at my old secondary school and it definitely brought back a lot of memories. Unfortunately, most of them weren’t born when I left Notley High, but it was brilliant to be able to surprise the kids in their assembly! It sounds like they’ve got some brilliant spotty fundraising ideas in store. I hope other schools across the UK are encouraged to get involved with the Big Spotacular and help raise money for BBC Children in Need, it’s such a great cause!”
And the ‘You Don’t Know Love’ hitmaker also took to Instagram to share a picture taken after his performance.
He captioned the photo: “Just took a trip down memory lane this morning at my old school Notley High in Braintree!! Loved it… (sic)”
BBC’s Children in Need televised appeal night – which hosts a number of special television programmes aimed to encourage people to donate to the cause – will be broadcast live on BBC One on November 18.

Ryan Phillippe: I get mistaken for my daughter's brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Phillippe gets mistaken for his daughter’s brother.
The 42-year-old actor has three children – Ava Elizabeth, 17, and Deacon Reese, 13, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, as well as five-year-old Kai with former partner Alexis Knapp – and says his baby-faced appearance embarrasses his eldest daughter because he regularly gets “mistaken for her brother”.
Asked by ‘The Late Late Show’ host James Corden if he was an embarrassing dad, Ryan said: “If you asked them, they might have a list [of things that embarrass them].
“One thing I know my daughter gets embarrassed by is that I do look so young and I get mistaken for her brother at times. It repulses her, like absolutely repulses her that anyone could mistake me for being her brother.”
And the ‘Cruel Intentions’ actor – who entered fatherhood at the young age of 25 – says living at home prepared him for being a young father as his mother ran a daycare centre where he helped to teach the children.
He added: “My mum had a daycare centre in our house, so when I would get up to get ready for school, there would already be 10 children who were not part of our family in the house.
“But then it made me ready to be a young father because I grew up raising kids. I grew up working in the daycare. I would teach the kids to swim, I would do magic shows for them, all that kind of stuff.”
Whilst Ryan and his former wife Reese split in 2007, their view toward raising their children is the same as the 40-year-old actress recently admitted she wanted her kids to be passionate individuals.
She said: “My mom worked, and I think it’s good for kids to see women working and being successful. I think it’s going to make them hard workers because they see that I don’t get much sleep.
“I’m just trying to hold on, trying to make it through. My older kids help with the little one. It’s nice to have a big family … I want them to grow up with passion. This is the one life you get, and you have to live it to the very end.”

Miley Cyrus: Hillary Clinton deserves to be the first female president

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus believes Hillary Clinton “deserves to be the first female president” of the United States.
The 23-year-old singer – who was a vocal supporter of the Democratic candidate – has taken to Twitter to share an emotional video in which she reflects on the results of the recent presidential election, which saw Republican candidate Donald Trump take the White House.
In the video, the ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker said: “I’ve been very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump. Heavily supported Bernie [Sanders]. Heavily supported Hillary. And I still think that in her lifetime she deserves to be the first female president. That’s what makes me so sad.
“I just wish that she had that opportunity, because she’s fought for so long and because I believe her when she says that she loves this country. This is all she’s ever done. She’s given her life to make it better.”
The ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer then reached out to the 70-year-old businessman, insisting she “accepts” him as the president.
She continued: “Happy hippies, we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are. And so Donald Trump, I accept you.
“And this hurts to say, but I even accept you as the President of the United States, and that’s fine, that’s fine because I think now I want to be a hopeful hippie. But please just treat people with love and treat people compassion and treat people with respect and I will do the same for you.”

Marilyn Monroe's estate sues lingerie company

OHMYGOSSIP — Marilyn Monroe’s estate are suing a lingerie company for misusing the starlet’s face.
The estate for the late actress – who died aged 36 in 1962 from an overdose of barbiturates – claims that the unnamed lingerie company is using the blonde beauty’s face on their line of underwear without the consent of those who own the copyright to her image.
According to TMZ, the estate of the ‘Some Like It Hot’ star is alleging the company is “blatantly trying to make a profit” from the use of Marilyn’s brand and fame, and in doing so is “confusing customers into thinking the underwear is an officially licensed product”.
In documents obtained by the publication, the estate says that the lingerie company branded their products with pictures of Marilyn on the packaging and the tags for its line of racy underwear.
The estate also claims it sent off several warnings to the lingerie company but no action to cease the misuse of ‘The Seven Year Itch’ actress’ image has been made.
Marilyn’s estate is now suing the company to stop future sales, collect profits from previous sales, and to destroy all existing merchandise that bears the image of the starlet.
Whilst the lingerie line might not be official merchandise, a whopping 1,200 items belonging to the ‘Bus Stop’ star – including jewellery, make-up, and shoes – will be heading to an auction house in Los Angeles this month to be auctioned off to collectors and fans of the Hollywood beauty.
It was previously revealed that the mink stole Marilyn wore for her appearance in ‘Love Happy’ was to be auctioned off, with a starting bid of $20,000. And the dress she wore in hit film ‘Some Like It Hot’, as well as handwritten notes and letters belonging to the pop culture icon, have also been sent to auction.

Gigi Hadid throws shade at One Direction

OHMYGOSSIP — Gigi Hadid has taken a swipe at One Direction saying she prefers Zayn Malik’s solo music.
The 21-year-old supermodel – who is dating Zayn – has admitted she wasn’t much of a fan of the ‘History’ hitmakers’ songs growing up and she would much rather listen to the former One Direction star’s songs, whilst admitting she “maybe” can’t name one track by the boy band that she likes.
During her first appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Wednesday night (09.11.16), she said: “I grew up in a household where my stepdad was a classical musical producer – Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban – that was the music I was into. I think we can all name a One Direction song that we like. Or maybe not. I love Zayn Malik solo a lot more!”
Zayn, 23, quit the biggest boy band in the world – also comprised of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne – in March 2015 and has made it very clear he didn’t like their “generic” sound, which was one of the things that spurred on his decision to quit the band because of the vocal restrictions he was forced to comply with.
He previously explained: “There was never any room for me to experiment creatively in the band. If I would sing a hook or a verse slightly R&B, or slightly myself, it would always be recorded 50 times until there was a straight version that was pop, generic as f**k, so they could use that version.
“Whenever I would suggest something, it was like it didn’t fit us. There was just a general conception that the management already had of what they want for the band, and I just wasn’t convinced with what we were selling.”
The ‘Perfect’ hitmakers are now on an extended hiatus – a decision they announced shortly after Zayn’s departure – so they can focus on solo projects and take a much needed break.
