Kristen Stewart was 'uncomfortable' with fame as a teenager

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Stewart felt “uncomfortable” having her personal life made public as a teen.
The 26-year-old actress has opened up about being catapulted to fame at the age of 17 when she starred in ‘Twilight’ as the vulnerable Bella Swan – alongside her on-screen and later real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson [Edward Cullen] – and while it was a “weird” experience for her it also taught her how to deal with the pressures of being in the spotlight.
Speaking during her first ever appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, she explained: “It was something I really invested in. It mattered to so many people. Something personal became the most personal thing, which is awesome because to share this is great, but at the same time I was 17 or 18 when it all kind of went down and that’s the most uncomfortable, terrible, weird … You’re 17-years-old and like ahh. But at the same time, it was good. It kind of forced me to stand at attention in this way.”
Kristen has been more open to talking about her personal life of late, which she says has been “beneficial” as it means she is able to explain herself and not have people “misconstrue” her.
She recently said: “I think it takes a minute to sort of acclimate to communicating with so many people at one time, with like, ‘The masses,’ you know.
“I think it’s only beneficial, like … for me to have so many pathways open, it ends up kind of not allowing people to misconstrue you.”
Kristen is currently dating musician St. Vincent – real name Annie Clark – and recently explained that she has become more willing to discuss her love life ever since she started dating women.
She shared: “I was like, ‘Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it,’ so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I’m so much happier.”

Adam Lambert dismayed by Donald Trump's election win

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Lambert says the new American President Donald Trump appealed to people who are the “very opposite” to the individuals he respects in life.
The 34-year-old singer – who tours with Queen – was and open and proud supporter if Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton and he, like many US voters, is dismayed that the former ‘Apprentice’ host has made it to the White House.
In an interview with News.com.au, he said: “Oh lord, it’s a mess. I’m not really super-educated in terms of politics but I watched the majority of the debates and it was just so obvious to me that she was the person I would rather represent my country to my country and to the rest of the world.
“What she said made sense, she was a clear communicator, she has experience, all that stuff. Any time he [Trump] spoke I just thought he didn’t make any sense. I didn’t even understand what he was saying! I think he appealed to a certain type of person that is very opposite to the type of people that I know and respect.”
Adam will be relying on the votes of Australian TV viewers when ‘The X Factor Australia’ airs on Sunday night (13.11.16) on Channel Seven.
The ‘American Idol’ runner-up has two acts, Isaiah Firebrace and Amalia, left in the race to win the talent show and he would love one of them to win which means he will have beaten his fellow judges Iggy Azalea, Mel B and Guy Sebastian.
Adam insists there is a “healthy sibling rivalry” both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes between all the judges which is good for the programme.
The ‘Ghost Town’ hitmaker said: “It’s almost like a sibling rivalry, there’s healthy competition between all four of us.
“We tease each other so much backstage and it’s funny. We try to mess with each other in all ways. We make little digs on camera and backstage and I think we all get that this is a great, fun competition.”

Miles Teller lost over 19 lbs for boxer role

OHMYGOSSIP — Miles Teller lost over 19 lbs in five weeks in preparation for his boxing film ‘Bleed For This’.
The 29-year-old American actor – who had just two weeks to learn how to drum for his role in musical movie ‘Whiplash’ – had to step inside the ring to play real-life world champion pugilist Vinny Paz in the biopic and his boxing training resulted in him slimming right down.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Teller said: “With pretty much every other boxing movie you’ve seen, they have a couple of days to shoot each fight. But because ours was bare-bones production, it was just kind of like, go, go, go! With this I only had access to Darrell Foster for five weeks. He trained with Will Smith for months!”
Teller spent six hours in the gym every day – four hours of boxing and two hours of weight training – for five weeks and as well as shifting so many pounds he got down to six per cent body fat.
And he even roped in a dialect coach to help him nail a pitch-perfect blue-collar Rhode Island accent.
Teller plays the role of local Providence boxer Vinny ‘The Pazmanian Devil’ Paz.
The film is centred on Vinny who shoots to stardom after winning two world title fights. After a near-fatal car accident leaves him with a broken neck, and the news that he may never walk again, with the help of trainer Kevin Rooney played by Aaron Eckhart, against all odds and doctors’ orders he returns to the ring 12 months later for what could be the last fight of his life.
In real-life, Teller admitted his facial scars, which he sustained in a car accident, caused him to lose auditions in the past.
He said: “I remember I had lots of scabs on my face, and at first they’d start to peel away and I was thinking, ‘Man, this is crazy! I got in this car accident and I’m going to be fine in a couple of weeks!’ But then the scabs fell off and I was left with all these prominent scars that did not heal well at all.”
He described how the scars were visible when he stood in front of the camera at school and it later affected his auditions.
He explained: “Even when I started going to auditions the feedback my agent got was, ‘Miles is really good, but it doesn’t make sense for his character to have scars.'”
It lead him to have two years of painful laser therapy but nowadays, he less worried about what he looks like on the big screen.

David Bowie's art auction takes £24.3 million in the first day

OHMYGOSSIP — David Bowie’s art auction took £24.3 million in the first day.
The late ‘Starman’ hitmaker – who died in January this year aged 69 from cancer – has had 47 pieces of artwork he owned sold for more than double the pre-sale estimate at London’s Sotheby’s on Thursday (10.11.16), according to BBC News.
The masterpiece in the collection with the most expensive price tag was Jean Michel Basquiat’s Air Power, which was initially valued at £3.5 million, was snapped up for £7.1 million, whilst the late British painter Frank Auerbach’s Head of Gerda Boehm reached £3.8 million.
David – who studied art, music and design when he was younger and began to collect pieces of art at the age of 21 – admitted he wanted his songs to sound like the portrait of Frank’s cousin.
Speaking previously about the design, he said: “I want to sound like that looks.”
Despite boasting a successful career at the helm of the music industry spanning over five decades, he has made it known art was one of his major obsessions.
Speaking previously he said: “The only thing I buy obsessively and addictively is art.”
Other pieces that went under the hammer in yesterday’s bidding bonanza included Marcel Duchamp’s With Hidden Noise structure, which is also known as A Bruit Secret, the Beautiful, hallo, space-boy painting by Damien Hirst with Bowie and Henry Moore’s Family Group portrait.
It has been reported the auction was set up by the music legend’s family, although they have vowed to keep hold of the creations they knew the ‘Labyrinth’ actor was most fond of and were of “particular significance” to Bowie.
The auction is set to add a further 309 pieces to the collection during Friday’s sale and all proceeds will go back to his estate.

DNCE'S Cole Whittle says celebrity culture can be empty

OHMYGOSSIP — DNCE’s Cole Whittle thinks there is a difference between an “artist” and a “celebrity”.
The dance/rock band’s bassist believes being a creative person making art is the equivalent of being a “beautiful garden”, whilst just being famous is comparable to being an “empty trash can”.
Asked what separates the two, he said: “I think the difference between an ‘artist’ and a ‘celebrity’ is that some people are both, some people are neither, but I think it’s an amazing yin and yang win when people find themselves being both. Being an artist that’s being recognised at a level in pop culture in the universe for their art. So I think the difference can be like an empty trash can or a beautiful garden.”
Cole and his bandmates – lead singer Joe Jonas, JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless – were being interviewed as the cover stars of the new issue of Client magazine.
In the exclusive Q&A, the ‘Cake By The Ocean’ hitmakers also revealed they complete creative control over their music and what they release.
Former Jonas Brothers star Joe said: “[We have] 1000 per cent control. We control pretty much everything we come up with and we really get to collaborate and try to come up with fun ideas. When we’re performing live, it’s really fun for us to really let loose and come up with a full show that makes DNCE the best version of ourselves whether it’s wild and crazy or it’s a song that reminds us of our childhood, we try to showcase that on stage.”
DNCE are about to release their self-titled debut album on November 18 and Joe says the writing process for the record was a collaborative one.
Joe, 27, said: “The writing process is different every time. There’s moments where I’ve written songs by myself for this upcoming album, there’s been times where we’ve all been in the same room and collaborated and it’s been just one guitar chord or a bass line and it kind of grows and grows until we have something that feels like it’s unique, and then we get into the studio and try to put it together.”

The ‘Grace Kelly’ singer lives in London with his partner Andreas Dermanis and he has a host of home helpers, including a gardener, a cleaner and his on-call cook and Andreas gets frustrated to be surrounded by people every week when he’s trying to relax. Speaking to Italian magazine Tu Style, Mika said: “I can say my home is full of books. There’s a lot of art, and there are my two dogs. There’s a gardener, a person who takes care of the home and a cook because eating is fantastic! And then there’s my partner who is always surrounded by people he doesn’t know. That makes him go crazy!”
Mika and Andreas have been together for 10 years and are as much in love now as they’ve ever been.
However, the 33-year-old musician isn’t thinking about starting a family with Andreas because he works too much to be a present and involved parent.
Speaking about the possibility of having children, Mika – who is hosting a new TV show ‘Stasera Casa Mika’ on Italian TV channel Rai 2 – said: “No, my life is too selfish. Being on tour for 15 months is a huge emotional investment. You have to be around tolerant people … With a child this would not be possible.”

Perrie Edwards stays silent of why she split from Zayn Malik

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards will “never get into the detail” about her split from Zayn Malik.
The 23-year-old Little Mix singer split from her ex-fiancée, also 23, in August last year, and neither of them have explained in great detail what caused the break-up.
Now, the ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmaker says she will never divulge all the information to the public because it’s “personal”.
Speaking on UK TV series ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ – which airs on Saturday night (12.11.16) – the blonde beauty said: “For a normal girl to go through something like that it’s hard. I think when the whole world is looking at it and talking about it, you feel a bit [affected by it].
“Obviously I didn’t say too much about it, I briefly mentioned it. I wasn’t going to not mention it … You’re in control at the end of the day and I briefly mentioned it, kind of said what happened but I would never get into detail because it is personal.”
Despite not sharing every detail with the public, the ‘Black Magic’ singer – who is joined in her band by Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – confirmed in the band’s upcoming book ‘Our World’ that the former One Direction singer dumped her via text.
She wrote: “It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Pillowtalk’ hitmaker – who has since moved on with model Gigi Hadid – wrote in his own memoir ‘Zayn’ that his relationship with Perrie was beginning to break down months before he called time on it.
He wrote: “It was March 2015. I had been in a bad place for a while and I didn’t see myself getting out of it unless I made a change.
“My relationship with my fiancée, Perrie, was breaking down. To make matters worse, there were so many crazy stories flying around in the newspapers about us, and it felt like such an invasion of privacy, it made me just want to disappear for a while.”

Leonard Cohen was in 'deep pain' caused by cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Leonard Cohen was in “deep pain” caused by cancer before he died.
The ‘Hurricane’ hitmaker passed away at the age of 82, and although no exact date and cause of death has been confirmed, it has been claimed that the iconic musician was suffering from the disease and had been physically debilitated by the illness.
David Remnick – who interviewed Cohen in the summer for The New Yorker magazine – said during The New Yorker Radio Hour on Thursday (10.11.16): “When I visited Cohen in Los Angeles he was suffering from cancer although he was keeping that very private. He was in deep pain from compression fractures in his spine and he had to sit in a big blue medical chair to ease that pain.
“He was very thin already. Maybe 105, 110lbs. But I’ve got to say he was in an ebullient mood for a man who knew where life was taking him and he was headed there in a hurry. And at the same time, he was incredibly gracious. The most gracious host this side of my mother.”
The news comes after his passing was announced on the Facebook page of the ‘Hallelujah’ hitmaker.
The post on the social media site read: “It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away. We have lost one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries.”
Cohen – who released his final album, ‘You Want It Darker’ last month – passed away “with the knowledge that he had completed what he felt was one of his greatest records”, according to his son Adam.
Adam said: “My father passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles with the knowledge that he had completed what he felt was one of his greatest records. Unmatched in his creativity, insight and crippling candour, Leonard Cohen was a true visionary whose voice will be sorely missed. He was writing up until his last moments with his unique brand of humour.”

Jennifer Lawrence urges disappointed US voters to keep their 'hope'

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lawrence has penned a moving open letter in the wake of the US presidential election result urging disappointed voters not to lose “hope”.
The 26-year-old actress has urged people to “be loud” and stand up for what they believe in after controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump beat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House this week.
In the letter posted online by Vice Magazine’s Broadly column, the ‘Hunger Games’ star said: “Is this the stark reality? It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how qualified you are, at the end of the day, if you’re not a man? Is that what we just learned? This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognised and respected are white men.
“I want to be positive; I want to support our democracy, but what can we take away from this? It’s a genuine question that we all need to ask ourselves. We shouldn’t blame anyone; we shouldn’t riot in the streets. We should think strongly and clearly about what to do next because we cannot change the past.”
The Oscar winner also took the time to speak up for women and ethnic minorities, many of whom felt alienated by Trump’s campaign.
She continued: “If you’re worried about the health of our planet, find out everything you can about how to protect it. If you’re worried about racial violence love your neighbour more than you’ve ever tried to before – no matter what they believe or who they voted for. If you’re afraid of a wall putting us all into another recession, then organise and stand against it.
“If you’re a woman and you’re worried that no matter how hard you work or how much you learn, there will always be a glass ceiling, then I don’t really know what to say. I don’t know what I would tell my daughter if I were you. Except to have hope. To work for the future.”
The ‘Joy’ actress finished her letter by reassuring readers they are “allowed to be sad” about the result, and insisted they should be “like Hillary” and lead by example.
She wrote: “We’re all allowed to be sad that the present isn’t what we thought it was. But we mustn’t be defeated. We will keep educating ourselves and working twice as hard as the man next to us because we know now that it is not fair. It is not fair in the workplace, so you make it impossible to fail. And like Hillary, it might not work.
“But like Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done. Do not let this defeat you – let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of colour, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman – don’t be afraid, be loud!”

Olly Murs: I don't want to be old and alone

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs fears becoming “grey and old” before he’s found love.
The 32-year-old singer has been single since he split from his former girlfriend Francesca Thomas over a year ago, and admits that finding love is “hard”, and he’s worried he’ll be lonely when he’s older.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, the ‘You Don’t Know Love’ hitmaker said: “For me the future is a bit uncertain, I don’t know where I’ll be, or who I’ll be with. I can’t not think about it. Finding that person, it’s hard.
“The one thing I don’t want is to be grey, old and never fall in love, and to never be with someone.”
And the ‘Grow Up’ singer says he it’s hard being the only single one in his group of friends, as his mates are never allowed out with him.
Even the former ‘X Factor’ contestant’s usual wingman Niall Horan can’t help him, as he’s too busy finishing off his debut solo record since his band One Direction went on hiatus.
Olly added: “My mates all have girlfriends, they need a visa to go on a night out with me, so I’m Billy No Mates.
“I really need Niall to stop recording his record and come out with me.”
Despite being keen to find love, the ‘Heart Skips a Beat’ singer previously said he wouldn’t resort to dating apps such as Tinder – in which users try to find their Mr or Mrs. Right using a location-based social search – as he prefers “old school methods”.
He said: “I’m not on Tinder, Jesus Christ! I was joking! When it came out and there was a craze I remember thinking this Tinder thing is kicking off. But no, I’m not on it. (I prefer to meet people using) old school methods.”

Sir Cliff Richard: Police investigation brought me closer to God

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Cliff Richard’s battle to clear his name after being investigated for sex abuse allegations brought him “closer” to God.
The ‘Roll Over Beethoven’ singer saw his life turned upside down in August 2014 when his Berkshire home in England was raided by police following an accusation made against him of historic sexual assault by a man.
The investigation continued for 22 months and in June 2016 he was cleared of all allegations made against him and informed by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) that the case would proceed no further as there was “insufficient evidence to prosecute”.
During his darkest moments, Cliff relied on his Christian faith to give him the strength to fight to clear his name.
In an interview on UK TV show ‘Lorraine’ on Friday (11.11.16), he said: “I felt closer to him (God) because I felt like, ‘Who do I turn to?’ There were certain friends, yes, of course, who I could turn to, but not at any time, I could turn to God in the middle of the night.”
Cliff’s Christian beliefs meant he was able to forgive his first accuser, despite the things that had been said about him.
He added: “In fact, I forgave my first accuser on the second night, I woke up thinking, ‘How do I survive this if I have hate and vengeance?’ I just said to God, ‘Please help me forgive him.’ So I uttered the words ‘I forgive you, whoever you are.’ And you know what? It was a lot easier the next day because I didn’t burn with hate and vengeance. So for me God became a reality much more so than he has done before, I don’t know how people manage with someone like that to lean on through really bad times in your life.”
The 76-year-old star was also staggered by the support he received from his thousands of fans during the investigation.
The ‘Summer Holiday’ hitmaker will never forget the loyalty they showed him at a time when their faith in him as a person could have been rocked.
He said: “You have to go through it yourself to know what it’s like, it’s a horrifying, traumatically, emotional situation that you find yourself in and you somehow feel like you don’t know how you’re going to get out of it. I think the best decision I made was that I didn’t say anything until it was over … The fans know me pretty well, they have met me over the years and again it’s an interesting thing because for 58 years I have been a singer, I don’t have a background of this kind of activity … The other thing that my lawyers called me and said they had never worked with anybody who has 100 per cent public support. It was greatly comforting to know that people were not believing it. That’s the main thing for me, I knew, he knew and God knew, the whole country knew that this wasn’t possible.”
Cliff released his new album ‘Just… Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll’ on Friday (11.11.16) and is heading on tour again next year and he is just looking forward to the future now.
He said: “It’s in the past, I’m looking to the future and it’s really nice. OK I may not ever get over it but I can definitely get past it and move on.”

John Cleese: Selfies are strange

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cleese finds it “strange” that people ask him for photographs.
The 77-year-old comedian – who is currently on his ‘Together Again at Last… For the Very First Time’ tour in North America with Eric Idle – has said he doesn’t understand why “a complete stranger” would want a selfie with the star.
He said: “I just find it so strange that a complete stranger would walk up to you and say, ‘Can I have a photograph with you?’ And I often say, ‘No, but why don’t you ask the chap over there?’ ”
And John’s long-term friend Eric, 73, has even written a song about selfies, which the pair have called ‘F**k Selfies’.
Speaking on US chat show ‘Conan’ on Thursday (10.11.16), Cleese said of the song: “[Eric] has written a very good song, and at the beginning of the tour he played it to me and I said ‘We should open the show with that’. And we’re going to sing it now, because it’s a joint experience.”
Eric added: “It’s about being on the road, and what we’ve learnt.”
The pair performed the song on the show, which they say is “one from the heart”.
The lyrics to the song are: “Here’s a little song, it won’t take very long.
“It’s about the world today, and it’s something we have to say.
“F**k selfies, all those gits who take selfies, they just get on my tits.
“When you’re grinning like a lunatic for people you don’t know, it takes them half an hour to get the bloody cameras go.
“And then another 14 bloody other people show, selfies are a waste of bloody time.
“So tell all those selfies, selfie pricks, next time they ask.
“To take their bloody selfie sticks, and shove them up their a**e.”

Rob Kardashian thinks Dream has Kris Jenner's 'haircut'

OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian thinks his daughter Dream has her grandmother Kris Jenner’s “haircut”.
The 29-year-old ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star and his fiancée Blac Chyna welcomed the tiny tot – whose full name is Dream Renée Kardashian – into the world on Thursday (10.11.16), and the Arthur George sock designer has likened the newborn’s dark locks to his 61-year-old mother’s short crop.
The television personality took to social media to share his views with a video of Dream in her mother’s arms.
In the clip Rob said: “Look at your Kris Jenner haircut.”
And the footage, which was posted on Blac’s Instagram account, was captioned: “Dream Renee Kardashian (sic).”
And Rob has since taken to his own Instagram account to praise his partner – who also has four-year-old son King Cairo with her former partner Tyga – for being “so strong”.
He wrote: “Today was amazing I am so lucky!! Thank you @blacchyna for having our baby and being so strong ! I love you so much and can’t wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy! I love you and Dream so much and Appreciate both of you I know everyone saying that’s my twin but that’s def your nose Chy lol (sic).”
Dream was born in a luxury maternity suite, which costs an estimated $4,000-a-night, at the Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where Rob’s sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to their children.
Although the couple couldn’t wait to give the world a glimpse of their precious little girl, the Kardashian/Jenner matriarch – who witnessed the birth – reportedly hired bodyguards to ensure no photographs were taken without their consent on the premises.
Rob’s older sister Khloé Kardashian, 32, was the first to confirm the news of the birth as she gushed about her “miracle” niece on the photo-sharing site.
She wrote: “My new niece is absolutely stunning!!! So thankful I was able to land in time to witness this miracle happen! Praise God! (sic).”

Sting: David Bowie and Prince were gods

OHMYGOSSIP — Sting believes David Bowie and Prince had “god-like qualities”.
The 65-year-old musician has said he often forgets that the two musical icons – who both tragically passed away this year – aren’t immortal, dubbing their passing as a “huge loss to the world of music”.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the former Police frontman said: “All of us suffer from the delusion that cultural icons like Prince and David Bowie are somehow immortal. There’s a god-like quality about them.
“They were extraordinary artists and a huge loss to the world of music.”
And the ‘Shape of My Heart’ hitmaker also reflected on his personal connection to both artists, claiming he “greatly admires” Bowie – who died in January from liver cancer – and branding Prince, who suffered an accidental overdose of fentanyl in April, as “unique”.
He added: “[Bowie] wrote his own elegy which was an astonishing act of courage. I greatly admire him for that.
“I briefly played bass with [Prince] one night at Wembley. What a unique artist!”
The string of recent deaths in the world of musical legends – most recently including ‘Hallelujah’ hitmaker Leonard Cohen – has forced the musician to look at mortality in a new light, something which he does in the song ‘50,000’ which features on his new album ’57th & 9th’.
Sting – real name Gordon Sumner – said of the track: “I wrote it from the point of view of someone like me, not necessarily entirely me, who’s probably lived most of his life.
“He’s been the centre of attention. He’s had everyone listening to his songs and he’s experienced the hubris and feeling of intoxication that comes with it.
“Yet in later life he can admit to himself, ‘I really am mortal,’ without being morbid.”
