OHMYGOSSIP — Anna Kendrick thought only a “couple of nerds” would watch ‘Pitch Perfect’.
The 31-year-old actress became a Hollywood superstar when she took on the lead role in the musical movie, and says she had no idea that the movie would be as successful as it was.
Asked if she expected the flick to be successful, the brunette beauty said: “No, not at all. When I read the script I was so expecting it to be something I’d seen before. I was just hoping a couple nerds would really like it.”
‘Pitch Perfect’ went on to make Anna a cool sum of $115 million, and has since seen her reprise her role in ‘Pitch Perfect 2’, as well as an upcoming third instalment.
And it wasn’t just the movie that spelled success for the star, as she also found herself sitting at number six in the Billboard music chart for the movie’s hit song ‘Cups (When I’m Gone)’.
Speaking on American news programme ‘Sunday Today’, Anna said: “It’s so weird. I was just like, ‘How is this just happening?’ The other people on the charts were Miley Cyrus and Macklemore and they’re out promoting and they must be like, ‘What is this b******t?’
“I think it was a real testament to the nerdery that exists in the world.”
But it wasn’t always plain sailing for the movie star, as she previously admitted she used her small role as Jessica Stanley in the ‘Twilight’ saga to help “pay the bills”.
She said: “Twilight mostly paid the bills because there were four of them that I got to do. They just kept hiring me. People don’t realise that I get paid to make a movie and then a year goes by and then I promote it for six months. I’ve only got the one paycheck, and that was a year and a half ago. So ‘Twilight’ saved me in the sense that it was this thing that kept going.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards feels sexiest in the morning because she “hasn’t eaten”.
The 23-year-old Little Mix singer has said she feels happiest with her body when she’s just woken up, as she has a “flat stomach” due to not eating overnight.
Asked when she feels her sexiest, the ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmaker said: “Body-wise, definitely when I’ve just woken up, because I haven’t eaten and have a flat stomach. Morning tummies are the best.”
Meanwhile Perrie’s band mate Jesy Nelson said that doing her make-up makes her “feel sexy”.
The 25-year-old singer said: “I’d love to say being natural, but I enjoy having my make-up and hair done. That makes me feel sexy.”
Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 25, added: “When you haven’t worn make-up for ages and you put it on and you go, ‘Ooh, that’s what I look like!'”
Whilst 23-year-old Jade Thirlwall continued: “That happened today, and I thought. ‘Who is this?'”
However, the ‘Black Magic’ singers all agree that their definition of being sexy is having “confidence”, no matter how you look.
Leigh-Anne said: “One hundred percent. You can be sexy however you look, as long as you have the confidence to rock it.”
Jesy added: “There was a girl [Lateysha Grace] on ‘Big Brother’ earlier this year who was really curvy. She was so confident about her body and just so sexy. When you are confident in yourself there’s nothing sexier – especially to a guy.”
And the ‘Move’ musicians – who release their new album ‘Glory Days’ on Friday (18.11.16) – say they’ve grown up since their last album and “want to show off [their] bodies.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Fabulous magazine, Jade said: “I really feel like we’re woman now. Before this album, I still felt a bit like a little girl. Now, we’re woman and we want to show off our bodies and our assets!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jade Thirlwall has only seen her boyfriend “six times” since they started dating.
The 23-year-old singer has been in a relationship with The Struts bassist Jed Elliott since January, and although the Little Mix musician says their relationship moved “quite quick”, their schedules have put a strain on their romance.
Asked if she had told the 25-year-old musician she loves him yet, the ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmaker said: “Oh yeah, we said that even before we were together properly! We went in quite quick, but when you know, you know. It’s brutal, as I’ve only seen him about six times this year, but every time I do it’s very good.”
And the ‘Black Magic’ singer – who is joined in her band by Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – admitted life on the road can be difficult for their sex life.
She added: “I was recently in America on his tour bus and it’s not that sexy when you’re trying to get it on! But you make it work.”
The brunette beauty also opened up about her body, saying that her relationship with Jed has helped her learn to “embrace” the parts of her she never used to.
Asked what the best and worst parts of her body are, Jade said: “I quite enjoy my back. I don’t like my whole breast area, as it doesn’t really exist, but I’ve embraced them now. My boyfriend likes them!”
Meanwhile, Jade – who’s band has recently been at the centre of controversy over their “sexy” outfits – says there’s nothing wrong with being sexy, as long as there’s “balance”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner’s new granddaughter Dream “melts [her] heart”.
Dream Kardashian – the daughter of 29-year-old Rob Kardashian and his fiancée Blac Chyna – may only have been born a few days ago, but she’s already capturing the hearts of the famous family.
The 61-year-old momager has taken to Instagram to post a picture of the tot with her grinning father, dubbing the newest addition to the family as a “dream come true”.
The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star captioned the photo: “This face says it all and melts my heart… @robkardashian … that smile ain’t nothin but a DREAM congratulations Rob and Chyna!! @blacchyna#love #family #dreamcometrue @dream (sic)”
And the cute photo isn’t the first time Kris has gushed over her youngest grandchild either, as she previously spoke about how “beautiful” it was to watch the bundle of joy be born.
She said: “I got to watch [the] delivery. It was so beautiful and I’m so excited and happy to have another grandchild! It was one of the most precious moments of my life.”
Dream – the first child for Rob and Chyna – took her first breath on earth at 9:18 am (Pacific Time) and weighed a healthy 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Rob and his 28-year-old beau have been paying $4,000-a-night to stay in a luxury maternity suite at the hospital, where Rob’s famous sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian have previously given birth to their children.
But it’s not all plain sailing for the couple, as Chyna – who has frequent arguments with her ‘Rob & Chyna’ co-star – is keen to live separately from Rob as she wants to maintain a calm environment for their baby.
A source said recently: “Rob and Chyna are going to keep their separate houses, even after their daughter is born.
“Rob can be a very hard person to live with. Chyna wants a healthy environment for both her children. If there is any chance of not having that, she will make sure to avoid it at all costs.”

The 25-year-old singer took to Instagram on Sunday (13.11.16) to share a series of pictures in which she revealed that her long term boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, 28, finally popped the question after six years together.
On a picture of her sparkly diamond ring, the ‘Mama Do’ hitmaker wrote: “so happy biggest surprise ever (sic)”
Another picture of the pair cuddled together with glasses of champagne was captioned: “I cried my [eyes] out (sic)”
The male model – who surprised his girlfriend with the romantic act outside St Paul’s Cathedral in London – also took to his photo sharing account to reveal the news, describing the ‘Cry Me Out’ singer as “the most beautiful woman in the world.”
He wrote: “What a beautiful day and the most beautiful woman in the world said yes to me. Lucky man (sic)”
Another picture taken from the Twitter account of a passerby who saw the event included the text: “Just witnessed Pixie Lott and her boyfriend jump out of a taxi and then he got down on bended knee and proposed to her right in front of us. He asked me for a tissue. I handed her a tissue!!!! x (sic)”
Oliver captioned the photo: “Caught in the act. She only bloody said yes (sic)”
An onlooker described the event as “so romantic”, and said the blonde beauty “couldn’t stop crying”.
They told The Sun newspaper: “It was so romantic – Pixie didn’t seem to have any idea he was going to ask her to marry him and started sobbing with tears of happiness.
“When she couldn’t stop crying Ollie asked a passer-by for a tissue as he said he didn’t want to give her his snotty hankie.
“They then hid behind a pillar for some privacy, but they didn’t seem to have a care in the world about who saw their special moment – it was like something from a movie.”
Meanwhile, a representative for Pixie told MailOnline: “She’s so excited and celebrating with her family – and it was the most wonderful surprise at St Paul’s Cathedral this afternoon.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur is having his tattoos removed.
The 28-year-old singer has countless inkings all over his body, but now he’s said he’s keen on getting the most visible etchings – on his neck, face, and hands – removed in a procedure that will cost him “a lot of money”.
He said: “I’m having the owl removed from my neck, the tear from my face and a crown removed from my hand. I’ve already had nine sessions. They take a while and cost a lot of money but it will be worth it.”
The decision to remove his tattoos comes as the ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker is planning on making a career shift from singing to acting, and doesn’t “want to be typecast” in roles that require his inked body parts.
He added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “I really want to do acting and I don’t want to be typecast because of my tattoos.”
And the desire to widen his career prospects comes after the former ‘X Factor’ winner recently made a comeback to the music scene after being the subject of controversy in 2013 when he found himself in a Twitter feud with Micky Worthless that saw him use derogatory homophobic language toward the rapper.
The ‘Recovery’ singer has said he “didn’t realise” the knock-on effect that his actions would have, and he has blamed his outbursts on the “pressure” of being in the spotlight.
He said: “I suffered with the pressure. I wasn’t prepared for scrutiny and attention. It felt super quick. I pressed the self-destruct button. I didn’t realise the repercussions and the devastation my behaviour would cause. My character behaviour, I was a very embarrassed by – it’s tough to look back on the adversities that followed my actions. I buckled under the pressure.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber’s fans can pay up to $40,000 for a VIP ticket to his New Year’s Eve concert.
The 22-year-old singer is headlining a party at the Fontainebleau five-star hotel in Miami Beach, Florida, on December 31, and the most expensive ticket will set a fan back a whopping $40,000.
The VIP package is available for ten fans of the ‘Sorry’ hitmaker who have the cash to spend on the event, and includes a five-night stay at the luxury hotel.
According to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, the package also includes: “Butler service, a private chef, and a party of a yacht.”
The deal also boasts “unlimited use” of a range of super-cars, including a Ferrari 488 Spider, a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Even the cheapest tickets aren’t for the light-hearted, as general admission will still set one fan back $500.
However, despite hefty price tag for the VIP package, the price doesn’t include a meet-and-greet with the ‘What Do You Mean?’ singer himself.
A spokeswoman revealed to the publication: “We hope the VIP fans enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But sadly that won’t include saying ‘Hi’ to Justin or shaking hands with him backstage.”
The news of the pricey show comes after the ‘Baby’ hitmaker recently caused controversy when he took to the stage in Manchester, England, as he hit out at fans’ “obnoxious” screaming.
He said on stage: “Just try to show me you love me, in a different way. I get it. The screaming is just so obnoxious. I get it, it’s been in our blood and it’s been grand, you go to a concert and scream and stuff. But if we could just … scream after the song, enjoy the songs … the screaming is awesome, it’s fine, and then we take a chill pill for a second and we just listen to me speak. OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding is reportedly starting up a relationship with her personal trainer.
The 29-year-old musician has been getting close to judo champion Bobby Rich – who has also worked on fitness regimes for the likes of David Beckham and Guy Ritchie – and although she is reportedly “still single”, the chance of a budding romance between the pair is “very promising”.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “[Ellie and Bobby] are getting on very well. Ellie is still single.
“They’re very close and both very keen on personal fitness and get on well with each other’s friends too, so it looks very promising.”
But Bobby will have to fight of competition from the ‘Still Falling For You’ hitmaker’s former beau Dougie Poynter, as the 28-year-old McFly bassist previously claimed that he and Ellie both still “love each other very much”, despite splitting in March this year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards finds it “harder” dating someone in the music industry.
The 23-year-old singer was previously engaged to former One Direction musician Zayn Malik for two years before their split in 2015, and believes dating a fellow singer meant the pair had a “better understanding” of each other, but found it difficult to “make time” in between their hectic schedules.
She said: “I think there’s a better understanding if they’re in the same industry. I feel like they get it a bit more. But it’s harder for you both because you have to make time.”
Fellow ‘Shout Out to My Ex’ hitmaker Jade Thirlwall – who is in a relationship with The Struts’ Jed Elliott – agreed, saying despite starting their relationship in January, their clashing schedules mean their romance still feels new.
Jade, also 23, added: “I won’t see Jed until Christmas. It means I still feel like I’m on first dates and get nervous around him.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Roger Moore thinks Aidan Turner would be “very good” as James Bond.
The 89-year-old actor has played the role of the suave spy on film seven times, and has now tipped the ‘Poldark’ actor as the next hunk to don the sharp suit and take on the iconic 007 role.
Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, the ‘Live and Let Die’ actor said: “I think Aidan would make a very good Bond.”
And Roger wouldn’t be the only acting veteran to give Aidan the seal of approval, as Robin Ellis – who played the role of Ross Poldark in the original 1970s version of the BBC series – previously branded him as “quite capable” of playing James Bond.
He said: “I like Aidan. I think he’s doing a wonderful job as Ross. He looks great and has a brooding presence. He’s registered enormously with the public, and that’s terrific.
“I think he’d be an excellent Bond. Aidan is a good actor, and the first 007, Sean Connery, was a very good actor. Aidan is quite capable of doing that part. Good luck to him if he gets it. I’ll be very pleased for him.”
The stars’ backing comes after it was announced earlier this year that ‘The Hobbit’ actor had made it onto a shortlist of names that MGM bosses were looking at to cast as the fictional spy if Daniel Craig continues with his threat to quit the franchise.
Other names that made the cut include ‘Luther’ star Idris Elba, ‘Fast and Furious’ actor Luke Evans, and ‘Thor’s Tom Hiddleston.
Speaking at the time, a source said: “To get anyone to take over from Daniel will be a tough job. MGM are confident that they are in a pretty strong place with a raft of talent available.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Elton John admits Britain is “horrible” at the moment.
The music icon thinks his home country has become noticeably less tolerant in recent years – and Sir John believes Britain finds itself in an unhealthy state of mind.
The 69-year-old star – who married his long-term partner David Furnish in 2014 – said: “You know, I don’t like it here at the moment, to be honest. I don’t like the hatred here.
“It’s like David said recently, it’s like a boil has been lanced that was there for a long time and suddenly all this hatred has come to the surface.
“People have been OK about gay marriage and things like that and suddenly they’re not. I have never, ever thought this of this country until now.
“I was always proud to come from here and to live here, because there are different opposing views about everything but it’s a pretty civilised place. At the moment, though, it’s not, and I don’t like it. It’s horrible.”
Sir Elton also admitted to feeling pessimistic about the apparent rise in anti-gay rhetoric around the world.
He told the Observer newspaper: “I remember going to Moscow when the gay scene was rampant and you’d go to this club in Moscow where nude boys would be swimming though a tank and stuff like that.
“Then the mayor of St Petersburg started taking books out of libraries and clamping down. It’s just extraordinary. We live in very strange times, but there are voices of reason and they need to be heard.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B has reportedly been moaning to pals about Geri Horner’s pregnancy announcement.
The 41-year-old star was initially annoyed that she was kept in the dark about Geri’s pregnancy and feared it might unhinge her plans to make a music comeback with GEM, which features Geri and their Spice Girls bandmate Emma Bunton.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Of course Mel is thrilled personally for Geri but she’s very fiery and in the moment she found out her temper flared and she said a few choice words to pals she probably shouldn’t have. Within minutes of Geri gushing about her good news on Instagram, Mel unfollowed her.
“It’s a good job Geri is so zen nowadays, because if she’d heard about Mel’s moanings things could have escalated.
“However, Mel’s desperate for the reunion to go ahead so when she realised Geri was still totally on board with doing Spice stuff next year everything seemed to be smoothed over.”
Geri, 44 – who has a 10-year-old daughter called Bluebell from a past relationship – revealed recently she is expecting her first child with husband Christian Horner.
It was reported that Geri and the Formula One boss are doing their best to involve her older offspring as much as possible with her sibling.
A source said: “Geri wants to include Bluebell in the pregnancy as much as possible to ensure she doesn’t feel left out – especially after being an only child for so long.
“She’s taken Bluebell along to scans and has given her the role of helping her and Christian choose a name for her new sibling, as well as picking out accessories for the nursery. Bluebell is really excited about having a sister or brother to play with.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sting has played the first concert at the Bataclan since last year’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
The British singer paid tribute to the 89 people who were killed at the iconic music venue in November 2015, saying his performance would “honour and remember those who lost their lives in the attack”.
Speaking in French before the start of his set, Sting said: “We will not forget them.”
Sting began with a performance of the song ‘Fragile’, singing: “Nothing comes from violence and nothing will.”
The singer has already confirmed that the proceeds of his hour-long show will be awarded to two survivors’ charities.
All of the 1,000 tickets made available for the concert sold out within 30 minutes and hundreds of tickets were held for survivors of the attacks last year.
What’s more, psychologists and counsellors were on stand-by at the legendary music venue – which has been completely renovated since the attack – for concert-goers.
Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes was turned away from Sting’s gig, with the venue’s management saying he was not welcome after making disparaging remarks about the Bataclan in the aftermath of the attacks.
The band were playing on the night of the murders and Jesse suggested Bataclan security staff were complicit in the attack, although he later apologised.
Today (13.11.16), the Bataclan is closed on the actual anniversary of the attack and a plaque is set to be unveiled in memory of the victims.
The venue will open again on Wednesday, when there will be a number of concerts by British singer Pete Doherty and Senegalese star Youssou N’Dour, as well as Marianne Faithfull.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Smith made off with a cardboard cut-out of Katy Perry during a recent house party in east London.
The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter turned up uninvited after a night on the booze and eventually left with a rather unusual souvenir from the party.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Sam was never invited to the party but he heard about it through his pal MNEK, who was also there. Everyone was a bit surprised when he turned up wasted, out of the blue.
“After about an hour or so he made his exit with a Katy Perry cut-out that the house’s owner had used as a decoration. The whole thing was very odd.”
Meanwhile, Sam revealed earlier this year that living a healthier lifestyle led to his dramatic weightloss in 2015.
He previously shared: “I’ve just not eaten like a pig anymore – that’s what I’m doing, basically.
“It’s very very difficult. I love food so much so it’s a constant battle. It’s always going to be a battle but I’m trying my best.”
Sam was recently spotted enjoying a picnic with some pals in Hampstead Heath, where he was seen enjoying a bottle of Prosecco with his friends.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift has turned to Drake as she looks to master a new hip-hop sound.
The chart-topping singer has reportedly turned to the rap star as she is keen to explore a new sound on her upcoming album, having previously enjoyed success working with Kendrick Lamar.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Taylor is always looking at ways to grow as an artist and really wants to try something different and unexpected for the next album.
“She’s not afraid of experimenting so is working with a lot of different faces to see if she suits a new sound.
“The remix of her song ‘Bad Blood’ had a less pop vibe – especially once Kendrick Lamar featured on it – and was a big hit, so she thinks her fans will like her going in this direction.
“Drake has been her friend for a while and it seemed a no-brainer that she would spend time in the studio with him.”
The rap star has even helped produce a few songs that could appear on Taylor’s new album, as she seeks to take her music in a different direction.
The source explained: “As well as writing with Taylor, he’s producing a few tracks and even lent his vocals to one song.
“It’s a real mix of edgier hip-hop and R&B sounds.”
In recent weeks, there have been rumours that Taylor and Drake have started dating. However, a source close to the situation has insisted that is not the case, saying they are simply good friends.
The source said: “They share a real connection over their love of music and studio time and get on very well.
“Taylor met his parents at a recent birthday party and invited him to drop in any time he’s in her neck of the woods to meet her folks. In turn he’s told her to party with him at New Year in Las Vegas.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss has reportedly reconciled with her boyfriend Nikolai Von Bismark.
The 42-year-old model has got back together with her party-loving boyfriend after she is said to have kicked him out in September, telling him to get his lifestyle under control.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Kate has missed Nikolai but she wanted to be sure if he came back he’d be calmer.
“Before he moved out he was turning the place upside down and frightening her daughter Lila Grace. But she has visited him at his mum’s house and seems reassured. She also invited him over to her house.
“In the past week she has said he can come back permanently. They’ve been talking about spending Christmas in Thailand.”
In September, it was reported that Kate dumped Nikolai after he refused to curb his party lifestyle, with insiders saying she grew frustrated by his wild behaviour and could no longer tolerate it.
A source previously said: “Nik refused to curb his wild lifestyle.
“Everyone knows that Kate loves to party, but Nik struggled to keep up without going overboard.”
Another factor that is reported to have influenced their split was Nikolai’s strained relationship with the British beauty’s teenage daughter Lila, who she has with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack.
