Brie Larson wants more women directors

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson wants to see more women in the director’s chair.
The ‘Room’ star is gearing up to direct her first feature film and would love to see other women step behind the camera.
She said: “I love that we’re seeing stronger women on the screen – but I don’t think that’s the end of this conversation. Because I think that we’re more than just being strong or just being mothering. I think there’s a whole lot that goes on in between for us to explore.
“I think the best place to start would be more female film directors – more female filmmakers of every different type of race – and we need to get out of these binary ways of thinking.
“We need more intersectionality. We need more unique voices because what directing is, is saying, ‘This is how I view the world’, and I think the way we can connect and learn more is seeing the world through other people’s eyes.”
And the 27-year-old actress is proud to be portraying journalist Mason Weaver in her latest movie ‘Kong: Skull Island’ because she thinks Mason comes from “a perspective we really need”.
She added to the BBC: “She has a very specific role in this film, being the only one who doesn’t have a weapon, as the only one that’s not trying to tear this creature or any of the other creatures on this island down. And I think that’s a perspective we really need.
“Being compassionate can actually unite all of us much better than to dominate and control. I think that women innately have that in them.
“What’s interesting about playing her is that she is both things in her own way. She’s not afraid to speak up. She uses her voice and is willing to put her whole life on the line for what she believes in. But she also has that deep compassion and I think women do have that.”

Nick Cannon's 'calculated' decision

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cannon’s decision to quit ‘America’s Got Talent’ was “calculated”.
The 36-year-old star decided to stand down as host of the talent show after finding out executives had “threatened him with termination” for a joke he made on a comedy special, which they claimed could damage their brand but insists his decision was never “emotional”.
He said: “When people start to put restraints on my creativity, as an artist, I just have to stand on my square and stand for something. I’ve never operated for monetary gain. Money isn’t one of the things that moves me or inspires me.
“I love [money]. I embrace it the way everyone else does on this planet, but I don’t make decisions based off of it. [The decision wasn’t emotional;] everything I do is calculated.”
And Nick is positive about the future and wishes everyone the best.
He added to Entertainment Tonight: “I feel like change is growth. I wish everyone the best. I wish all the new people involved the best.
“I wish the brand to continue to flourish. I’ve got love for the network, I’ve got love for the production, and I feel like I’m growing as an artist, and as a human being, to bigger and better things.”
Nick announced the decision in a lengthy message on Facebook last month.
He wrote: “I write this from a deeply saddened and dolorous mindset. After days of deliberating over some extremely disappointing news that I was being threatened with termination by Executives because of a comedy special that was only intended to bring communities closer together, I was to be punished for a joke.
“This has weighed heavy on my spirit. It was brought to my attention by my “team” that NBC believed that I was in breach of contract because I had disparaged their brand. In my defence, I would ask how so? …
“I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property. There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity.”

Perrie Edwards says her boyfriend is 'cute' and 'sexy'

OHMYGOSSIP — Perrie Edwards thinks her boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is “sexy”.
The 23-year-old singer has been dating the Arsenal soccer star since late last year and despite efforts to keep their burgeoning romance low-key for the first few months, Perrie has been gushing about her beau in a new interview.
In a clip of the interview posted on the missperrieeele Instagram account, Perrie says: “I have a boyfriend. His name is Alex, he plays for Arsenal. He’s very cute, and hot, and sexy.”
Previously, it was suggested Perrie had made a conscious decision to keep her relationship with the England international away from the spotlight because she didn’t wish to be seen as a “stereotypical” soccer star’s girlfriend.
A source said previously: “Perrie wants to keep her love life private and also doesn’t want to be regarded as a stereotypical football WAG.
“It’s early days and they’re still getting to know each other so it’s unlikely her stance will change.
“Alex fully supports her as he too wants to be known as a footballer, not dating a pop star.”
Alex is Perrie’s first serious love interest since her split from former One Direction star Zayn Malik in 2015.
And while Alex, 23, remains focused on soccer, Perrie is helping him to pursue his ambition of becoming a DJ.
A source recently said: “Ox has a big passion for music and DJing has become one of his hobbies.
“He has decks and often picks tunes for the Arsenal dressing room.
“Perrie is encouraging it as their love of music is one of the main things they have in common.
“She has loads of friends in the industry who can help him out, including producers and other DJs, so she’s told him she’ll put him in touch.
“He’s not planning to be the next Calvin Harris, his priority is football, but he does love DJing and wants to see where it can go.”

Tom Hiddleston had 'pillow fights' in boarding school

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hiddleston took part in “pillow fights” whilst he was in boarding school.
The 36-year-old actor spent his childhood at school away from his parents, and said the experience led him to meet some of his closest friends, with whom he would often get up to mischief such as fighting with other dormitories.
He said: “Some of the friends I made there are some of my closest friends, because you’re all lumped together and you’re away from home, so you try and think of crazy things to do.
“I remember we used to – I mean I was eight or nine, right – and you’re in dormitories of 10 boys. And it’s like ‘Okay, what are we gonna do tonight? Okay, we’re gonna dorm raid.’ Which means you’re going to get your pillows after lights out, get the pillow at the end of the pillow case, make it a club, and go and start a huge pillow fight with the next door dormitory. The winner is determined by how many pillows you destroy, basically. You just want there to be feathers everywhere.
“You never forget those moments.”
And the ‘Kong: Skull Island’ star likened his time in boarding school to that of fictional wizard Harry Potter, only without the magic.
He added during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ on Thursday (09.03.17): “I always say boarding school is kind of like a mixture between ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Great Escape’. Without the magic, or the second world war. But with plenty of broomsticks.”
And Tom isn’t the only celebrity to have spoken out about their time at boarding school, as fellow actor Damian Lewis previously spoke out how his time in the strict schooling system shaped him as a person
He said: “There is a latent anger in a lot of people that went to boarding school at an early age. I was eight and I loved it over the five years. But I think the adjustments for eight-year-olds are a lot. And I think it informs who you are for a long, long time.
“But if you learn a mechanism that early to deal with situations that are foreign to you – trying to find your place within a group – you naturally suppress a lot of your own instincts. And I think exercising that amount of control is very clearly related to outbursts of anger later on.”

Ed Sheeran's Galway Girl speaks out

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran and the woman who inspired his track ‘Galway Girl’ co-wrote the song together.
Niamh Dunne from the band Beoga has revealed how she ended up writing a song about herself after becoming the inspiration for the flame-haired singer’s popular track.
She said: “I am in a band called Beoga and we actually co-wrote the song with Ed. We were over in Suffolk last year recording with him, so that was kind of when the song came together. I suppose I was in front of him so he just wrote a song about what was in front of him so that was how it came about.
“It started with a mutual friend of ours, Foy Vance. They were on tour together and they played some of Beoga’s tracks in the van together and Ed liked it so when he was making his new album he emailed us and asked if we would be up for doing some recording.”
And Niamh insists she never had an affair with Ed and recently got back from her honeymoon.
She added: “No I didn’t. I am just back from my honeymoon, so I can safely say I married an Irishman – 100 per cent.”
Meanwhile, Niamh also revealed she never realised how much of the track would be about her.
She shared: “It was just the first line of the song and I think at the time I was saying, ‘That’s enough about me Ed, come on’ and we were just kind of laughing about it but I think the story has grown legs since then.”
And despite being the star of Ed’s new song, Niamh has been getting a lot of stick back home as she is actually from Limerick rather than Galway.
Speaking on Breakfast Republic on Irish radio station RTE 2FM, she shared: “I’m from Limerick born and bred so I am getting an awful hard time at home about the whole thing.”

George Michael's boyfriend Fadi Fawaz quits Twitter

OHMYGOSSIP — George Michael’s boyfriend Fadi Fawaz has deleted his Twitter account.
The 43-year-old hairdresser has seemingly quit the microblogging site, The Sun newspaper reports.
Now when a user tries to search for the Twitter handle ‘@fadifawaz’, a message reading ‘Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!’ appears.
It comes after Fadi claimed he “doesn’t know anything” about George’s funeral.
He said: “The funeral? I can’t give you an answer, everything is being kept quiet. I can’t tell you about the funeral – it should have happened a long time ago. This has gone on and on. I was in the middle of it all. But I don’t know anything about the funeral, I really don’t know anything. Believe me. It’s all so strange.”
Earlier this week, a coroner confirmed George had died from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
And Fadi understands why some people had speculated the ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker’s death was connected to drug abuse.
He added: “Yes I know people thought that, but it’s because that’s what we do as humans – we hate each other. I know it’s quite normal, it’s natural, but it’s still upsetting. I’ve had it myself. We’re human, and in a way I understand it.
“People can die at any age – people die at three years old, five years old, it’s something we can’t control can we. This week was a relief for me, because at least I’m not doubted. And that’s incredibly important for me because can you imagine how it feels that people would doubt my love for him? It’s horrible.”
And Fadi is disappointed because none of George’s family or his management team have “looked after” him.
He said: “Nobody helps me, you know. My relationship was with George. It’s sad, and it’s not right. I haven’t been looked after, but we don’t do that do we. It’s all part of life, and anything can happen, but I’m happy to take the experience.
“You take nothing with you anyway. I am that kind of guy believe it or not, it’s all ok. I am resilient because I understand how things work. I’m grateful for everything.”
It is not the first time Fadi decided to quit Twitter; he had left the platform previously after being criticised by George’s fans.

Russell Crowe is a fan of Rag'n'Bone Man

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Crowe is a fan of Rag’n’Bone Man.
The ‘Robin Hood’ actor took to Twitter on Friday (10.03.17) to share his love for the 32-year-old musician, saying that anyone who hadn’t listened to the star’s album ‘Human’ couldn’t be having “as cool” a day as the Hollywood star himself.
He wrote on the social media site: “haven’t listened to @RagNBoneManUK album Human today ?… well, your day is just not as cool as mine. Accept that fate… or listen now. TML (sic)”
‘The Nice Guys’ star, 52, went on to share a video link to the singer’s hit single – also entitled ‘Human’ – in an attempt to entice his 2.49 million followers to check out the rising star for themselves.
The tweets come after Russell retweeted a promotional tweet from the Twitter account for late night talk show ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, which said the ‘Skin’ singer would be performing music Thursday night’s (09.03.17) episode.
Meanwhile, Rag’n’Bone Man – whose real name is Rory Graham – admitted he has no interest in becoming famous and wishes he could “erase” the celebrity aspect of his job.
Speaking previously about fame, he said: In fact, I don’t really want it. If I could erase that side of it, then that’d be cool, but … I think you can’t concern yourself with the fame thing, or with what people say about you, because there’s a lot of d***heads in the world and unfortunately social media has given those d***heads voices. I just block everybody now. I’ve got a bit of a temper and sometimes I’ll just bite, so I’ve had to learn to be like, ‘OK, instead of that I’ll just f***ing block you straightaway. I don’t want to know your b******s’.”

Geri Horner: My younger self would find me 'boring'

OHMYGOSSIP — Geri Horner thinks her younger self would find her “boring” now.
The 44-year-old singer – who is best known for being a member of 90s girl group Spice Girls – is gearing up to air her new documentary ‘Geri’s 1990s: My Drive to Freedom’ where she will reflect on her life 20 years ago on Saturday (11.03.17), and has said she believes her younger self was more “experimental” than she is now, but insists she’s still the same girl she used to be.
Speaking about how the version of herself from the Spice Girls days – when she was known as Ginger Spice – would react to the person she has become now, Geri said: “Spice Girls Geri might think my hair colour now is boring, but we’re all more experimental when we’re young. Make-up is as much about war paint and armour as self-expression, and I remember feeling more confident when I put on my ‘Batman’ costume. But there’s a Bruce Wayne side to me too.
“The person who enjoys dressing up is still in me. I went to a James Bond-themed work party of my husband’s. I decided to go as a Bond baddy in a catsuit, black leather boots and gloves. When I walked in, everyone, apart from maybe three others, was in formal wear. It was a Bridget Jones moment, but I’ve always been like that. I was watching some old footage of myself the other day and while my Watford accent was stronger, what was coming out
of my mouth was the same old ‘bla bla bla’.”
But the mum-of-two – who shares daughter Bluebell, 10, and son Montague, one month, with her husband Christian Horner – isn’t worried about what other people think of her, and has passed that self-love on to her daughter.
Asked by the Daily Telegraph what Bluebell thinks Geri has taught her, the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker said: “I asked my daughter Bluebell the other day what values she thought I’d given her and she said, ‘To love yourself and respect yourself for who you are.’ If I’ve managed to do that, then that’s something my younger self could be proud of.”
‘Geri’s 1990s: My Drive to Freedom’ airs on BBC Two at 9pm on Saturday (11.03.17)

Kristen Stewart: Sexuality is a grey area

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Stewart wants to acknowledge the “fluidity” of sexuality.
The ‘Personal Shopper’ star – who came out as gay on ‘Saturday Night Live’ recently – doesn’t understand why bisexuals are labelled “confused” as she thinks it is, in fact, “quite the opposite”.
She said: “Oh, I think things are changing. I mean, I don’t think I would have approached my life differently if that hadn’t been the case. But who knows? Individually we are all part of that change and so I can take some credit for it, I guess – there’s no reason why I should shy away from that. But all the prejudice; it’s going for sure.
“I mean, yeah, it’s definitely still there. People still have some horrendous f***ing experiences. But it’s cool that you don’t have to nail everything down any more. That whole certainty about whether you’re straight or gay or whatever. You’re not confused if you’re bisexual. It’s not confusing at all. For me, it’s quite the opposite.”
And the 26-year-old actress is glad people feel more able to talk about sexuality in general now.
She added to The Guardian newspaper: “That’s been nothing but positive. I mean, it’s hard to talk about. I don’t want to seem presumptuous, because everyone has their own experience.
“The whole issue of sexuality is so grey. I’m just trying to acknowledge that fluidity, that greyness, which has always existed. But maybe only now are we allowed to start talking about it.”
Meanwhile, Kristen previously admitted it took her some time to realise how important it is for her to open up about her private life because it can affect others too.
She shared: “But considering I had so many eyes on me, I suddenly realised [my private life] affects a greater number of people than just me. It was an opportunity to surrender a bit of what was mine, to make even one other person feel good about themselves.
“If it didn’t seem like a relevant topic like something that needed help, I would have kept my life private for ever. But then I can’t walk outside holding somebody’s hand, as I’m followed everywhere.
“When I was dating Rob, the public were the enemy – and that is no way to live. It wasn’t this grand statement, ‘I was so confused! Now I’ve realised who I am!’ I have not been struggling. It just seemed important, and topical.”

Blac Chyna is set to launch a dolls line

OHMYGOSSIP — Blac Chyna is reportedly set to release a doll line.
The 28-year-old television personality – who has four-year-old son King Cairo, with her former partner Tyga, and four-month-old daughter Dream with her on/off fiancé Rob Kardashian – is believed to be launching a set of miniature figurines to resemble her, according to TMZ.
The American beauty is believed to have visited photo-realist statue-making company My3DNA, who create lookalike figures for their celebrity clientele, on Wednesday (08.03.17).
The star is rumoured to have made several outfit changes throughout the day to enable her to have a range of six to eight Blac Chyna dolls in various sizes.
During the model’s visit she had her face scanned by CGI equipment and the image was then developed using 3D printing technology.
This news comes eight months after it was reported the reality star had decided to collaborate with the brand, and it is now believed Blac’s toy line will be available to buy in May this year.
Meanwhile, four replicas of Blac during her pregnancy with her second child, which can be found under the Mini-Chyna collection on the site, are available to buy online with prices ranging from $99.99 for a five-inch doll up to $399.99 for an 11-inch statue.
The site has hinted the dolls of Blac clasping at her burgeoning baby bump are the first instalment of a four-part collection.
And Blac recently teased she was working on a new project on social media.
Alongside a video on her Instagram account of the ‘Rob & Chyna’ star standing still in a baby pink skin-tight catsuit with a short blonde cropped hair do, whilst photographers are captured slowly walking around her filming, she wrote: “Working on something for my Chyna Dolls (sic).”
And an image of a still shot of what appears to be a miniature model, was simply captioned with a pink bow emoji.

Pamela Anderson: Playboy was my university

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson sees Playboy as her “university”.
The model and activist has graced a number of covers for the American magazine and whilst she knows it was a huge part of her life, she feels she has “graduated with honours”.
She said: “Playboy was my university, I always say – and I graduated with honours.”
The 49-year-old star has struck up a close friendship with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who she thinks is “one of the most important people in the world”.
Speaking to John Bishop on The Nightly Show on Thursday evening (09.03.17), she added: “I met him through Vivienne Westwood, who wanted us to meet. We started seeing each other every month, and now we see each other a lot more regularly.
“I do really think he’s one of the most important people in the world, and I think what he does is historic; it’s very important. He’s very brave and he sacrificed a lot for all of us, every civilian. He’s doing this for everybody; he’s exposed corruption and everyone has a right to know … He’s passionate about what he does and he’s brilliant, so stay tuned.”
Meanwhile, Pamela previously admitted she is “flattered” by rumours she is dating Julian.
She said: “I ended up at the embassy on the wrong day but was able to meet with Julian privately. I asked him how he thought I could be more effective as an activist. We came up with tenure to support relentless activism – giving activists tenure and cover basic needs so that they continue their great work while being able to provide for themselves and their families wherever they may be in the world.
“Since then I feel a genuine closeness to Julian. I have had more stimulating conversation with this man than all my ex-husbands and lovers combined. Our intentions were not to become romantic, but to join forces. The rumours are flattering. I think I might have what it takes to be an effective First Lady. If I had to choose a World Leader to stand beside and support whole heartedly it would be Julian Assange.”

Oprah Winfrey loses 45 lbs in weight

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey has lost almost 45 lbs in weight.
The 63-year-old television personality is feeling “great” after shedding approximately three stone from her body mass after she signed up to be a member and advisor for the American weight loss programme Weight Watchers in 2015, and she has claimed her dieting has become a total “lifestyle change” over the past two years.
Speaking about her new shape in the April issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, the former ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ host said: “Nearing the 45-pound weight loss mark is a great feeling.
“After spending literally years on more diets than I care to count, I finally made the shift from dieting to a lifestyle change.”
And the star has revealed her eating regime has made her “more conscious” about her food intake.
She explained: “Everyone is different, but for me what’s worked is Weight Watchers. Today I’m more conscious about what I eat, balancing indulgent things with healthier options.
“I leave the table feeling satisfied – and to me, that’s far more important than any number on the scale.”
The Mississippi-born star – who reportedly weighed 238 lbs when she was at her peak – decided to embark on a healthier way of life because she felt frustrated by her constant “lose-and-gain-again routine”.
Speaking previously about her partnership with the healthy-eating and welfare brand, she said: “The folks at Weight Watchers called me in July and asked if I’d join their team – help spread the message about taking a holistic approach to health and fitness.
“For me, this was a perfect alignment. I was fed up with my lose-and-gain-again routine. I’d had enough of no-carb regimens. Some people can live without bread and pasta, but it just doesn’t make sense to me.”

Fearne Cotton didn't change her underwear for one week

OHMYGOSSIP — Fearne Cotton didn’t change her underwear for one week when she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.
The 35-year-old radio and television presenter has admitted she wore the same pair of knickers when she trekked up the dormant volcano in Tanzania for charity eight years ago with Alesha Dixon, Ronan Keating, former Girls Aloud band members Cheryl and Kimberley Walsh and Denise Van Outen.
Alongside a picture of the blonde beauty with the fellow celebrity hikers, which she shared on her Instagram account, she wrote: “8 years ago we had just climbed Kilimanjaro. Although slightly tarnished with puking behind rocks and not changing my underwear for a week (sic).”
However, the former ‘Top of the Pops’ host , who was in the first group to reach the summit in 2009 and helped to raise £3.3 million, has no regrets about the experience.
She continued: “It was the best adventure ever! (sic).”
Meanwhile Fearne, who has four-year-old son Rex and 18-month-old daughter Honey with her husband Jesse Wood, believes her marriage with her musician spouse will never be “perfect” because she thinks every relationship has minor flaws, although she has hailed the 40-year-old guitarist as her “soulmate”.
Speaking previously about marital life, she said: “Married life to your dad is gorgeous.
“I have found my soul mate and a very lovely one at that… He is kind, caring, open, honest and very funny… Yes, he leaves his pants on the bathroom floor and the cupboards open after he has made a cup of tea, but hey, that’s marriage.
“No set-up will ever be perfect because life is not supposed to be that way. Speak openly to your partner and always listen. Love them with every inch of your heart, but only if they shower you in the same. Find someone who makes your heart sing and illuminates all your best bits.”

Kit Harington is a 'big cynic'

OHMYGOSSIP — Kit Harington has described himself as a “big cynic”.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star – who is known for playing the role of Jon Snow in the popular series – has revealed he is a highly pessimistic person because he always believes he has filmed a “terrible scene” after he shoots an episode of the American fantasy drama.
The dark-haired hunk told ABC News: “I’m such a big cynic, I film a scene and [think] it’s going to be a terrible scene.”
However, the British star is left surprised when other people congratulate him on his performance and are happy with the outcome.
he continued: “Then when everyone loves it, I’m happy.”
The 30-year-old actor has teased the upcoming instalment, which is set to air on July 16 this year, is much “grander” and more ambitious than any of the previous six series because the creative team have had a bigger budget to spend on the production, although there will be three less episodes.
Speaking about the forthcoming seven-part programme, Kit – whose full name is Christopher Catesby Harington – explained: “[Season seven has] so much more ambition. More grander.
“There are less episodes this year, so they spent more money on those episodes. So, the whole scale of it is up.”
Kit believes ‘Game of Thrones’ – which is based on George R. R. Martin’s novels – has to end with an unforgettable finale, which no other television show has uncovered before.
He said: “That has to happen at the end of ‘Thrones’, this season and next season. It has to go into places TV hasn’t been.”
Meanwhile, Kit’s co-star Sophie Turner – who plays Sansa Stark in the television show – is gutted the series will end and is worried about her future career plans when filming ends because it has been her “life” for the past few years.
Speaking previously, she said: “I’m probably sadder than you guys are. It’s been my life since I was 13, so I’m pretty sad about it.
“It’s crazy when the show finishes I’ll pretty much be the same age Kit [Harington] was when he started … which is crazy. I don’t know what I’m going to do with my life.”

Prince Charles 'devastated' by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson's shock death

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles was “devastated” by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson’s death last month.
Dame Joan Collins has revealed the 68-year-old royal – who was thought to be the socialite’s godfather – appeared visibly “sad” when she passed on her condolences to him at an event for his charity The Prince’s Trust shortly after the model’s passing.
She said: “It was terrible, terrible news. A lot of people were broken up. Prince Charles, too. Shortly afterwards, I went to a thing for The Prince’s Trust and said to him: ‘I’m so sorry, Sir, about your friend Tara’. And he looked very sad. She was his godchild.”
The 83-year-old legendary actress was equally distraught when she found out that Tara had passed away at the age of just 45 because she remembers vividly how happy and healthy she looked when she attended the star’s book launch just last year.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I saw her [Tara] last year. She came to my book launch. She was full of life and talking about what she was going to be doing.
“She said: ‘I’ve been off the radar because I haven’t been well. I’m happy now I’m back’. It’s very sad. She was quite young.”
It was initially thought Tara had passed away as a result of a relapse but tests carried out on her body last month revealed she had died from a perforated stomach ulcer.
Her sister Santa Montefiore said at the time: “Today the Coroner’s report states that Tara died of natural causes – a perforated ulcer. She did not have a brain tumour. (sic).”
The brunette beauty had told the world last year that she was convinced she had just “weeks to live” after she was told she had a brain tumour and was suffering from a rare auto-immune condition which saw abnormal antibodies attack the cells and tissues.
However, it’s not known whether Tara had the tumour, which she said was on pituitary gland, removed prior to her death or whether she never actually had one.
Tara was laid to rest at the parish church in Dummer, Hampshire, just over a week ago.

James Blunt: 'People stop me, thinking I'm a taxi driver'

OHMYGOSSIP — James Blunt is regularly asked if he’s a taxi driver by the public.
The 43-year-old musician bought a Tuk-Tuk in Thailand, which he has since shipped to Ibiza, and when he drives around in the three-wheeled motorised vehicle he is often stopped by people and is requested to take them to certain destinations.
Speaking about his purchase and the reaction to it to ES Magazine, the ‘Goodbye My Lover’ hitmaker said: “I bought a Tuk-Tuk in Thailand. It cost a bit to get it back to Ibiza, but it’s amazing. People stop me, thinking I’m a taxi driver, and then when they recognise me say things, like, ‘Oh, my God! You’re that guy who sang that song! What happened to you?'”
And the dark-haired vocalist’s unusual possessions doesn’t stop there, as he has admitted he has a burgeoning collection of hotel room key cards, which he has collected over the years in the hope his artistic friend will have a use for them.
Speaking about the additional pieces of memorabilia he has amassed, he said: “Hotel room key cards. I amassed a pile of them thinking that an artist friend of mine could use them — but actually, no matter how many you pull out, they still don’t look nearly as colourful or as fun as credit cards”
Although James’ pal has no use for the collectibles, he has still kept hold of the plastic pieces.
He continued: “I really should just throw them away”.
And the next item on the British star’s must-have list is the army barracks in London’s Hyde Park, which he used to live in, because he wants to refurbish them.
He explained: “I used to live in Hyde Park Barracks. I’d love to buy it and knock it down. It’s hideous. There used to be a beautiful old building there until Basil Spence built his monstrosity.”
Meanwhile, the artist – who has eight-month-old son with his wife Sofia Wellesley – claims the best place to take someone on a first date is Nandos, because he believes you can “only improve” from dining in the popular restaurant chain.
He said: “Nando’s on High Street Kensington. It’s important to keep expectations low on a first date. That way, things can only improve.”
