OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama is feeling the “pressure” ahead of her 30th birthday celebrations.
The 29-year-old beauty will celebrate her landmark birthday in August, and Maya is already thinking about how she’ll mark the occasion.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Maya – who is dating rapper Stormzy – shared: “It’s pressure. When you’ve been doing parties every year it kind of feels like when you’re 30 it needs to be the biggest ever.
“It makes me feel like I should do the opposite and go on a little boat ride and do some yoga – but I doubt it!”
Maya has already achieved most of her career ambitions.
The TV star – who hosts the UK version of ‘Love Island’ – shared: “I feel like I need to set new goals because I have been so fortunate that all my childhood goals have been achieved now before I am 30.
“I am 30 this year and that is another milestone, but focus on your job first then plan the party after!”
Meanwhile, Maya previously suggested that she’s been forced to overcome the odds in order to achieve success.
The TV star has always been very driven and career-minded – even during her teenage years.
Maya – who was was born and raised in Bristol, south-west England – told the Guardian newspaper: “When I was a teenager, I was so tunnel-vision focused.
“My upbringing was not very … I think, statistically, the things that happened to me, or the situation I was born into, I shouldn’t have been where I am now. But I think it made me more determined to prove everybody else wrong.”
Maya – who rekindled her romance with Stormzy in 2023 – also insisted that she’s earned every bit of her success.
She said: “I’ve felt like maybe some people didn’t take me seriously, or people downplay my success because of relationships or because of how I look – but I know how much I’ve worked.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Darius Rucker is convinced police “wanted to make an example” out of him when he was arrested on drug charges earlier this year.
The 58-year-old Hootie + the Blowfish frontman was taken into custody by the Williamson County Sherriff’s Office in Texas and booked on three misdemeanour charges – two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of vehicle registration law – in February and he was later released on $10,500 bond.
Now the singer has spoken out about the February 2023 incident which led to the arrest and revealed he was initially let go without charge before the case was escalated a year later. He told PEOPLE: “I mean, I looked back at that and I was like, ‘I got stopped by a police officer and I had a little bit of pot, and I think a little bit of some mushrooms or something in the car, and he let me go.’
“And a year later I got a phone call from a buddy that said” ‘I think I just saw an arrest warrant for you.’ It shocked me.”
He added: “My friends who were in the police department were like, ‘Have you p***** somebody off up here? Because this is crazy that they’re doing this a year later’.
“But I think somebody wanted to make an example out of me, and they did. And I’m handling it with my lawyers, and paying the price, and we’ll move on with our lives.”
He added: “It sucks. Fifty-seven years, never seen inside of a police car or jail, and I get busted for that.”
The charges against Darius are still pending, but he recently told the ‘TODAY’ show that his attorneys are taking care of it. He said: “I went down and we handled it. My lawyers are taking care of it. It is what it is.”
He added that he only had drugs in his car because he was helping friends move house. He explained: “It was funny because I was going to a friend’s house, they were moving and asked me to take some stuff. And I did and got pulled, got stopped. And the crazy thing was, they let me go.”
In December, Darius was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he declared being a father to his three children, Caroline, 28, Danielle, 22, and Jack, 18, was the most important thing in his life.
He said in his speech: “Carrie, Dani and Jack are my heart, they’re my soul. They’re everything to me and everything I do is for them.” The ‘Wagon Wheel’ hitmaker then turned to his kids and added: “It’s just been an amazing thing to be your father. As great as all this stuff is, it’s not as cool as being your dad, and I really mean that. I love you guys so much.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shania Twain “doesn’t hate” her ex-husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange after he cheated with her best friend.
The 58-year-old superstar was left devastated back in 2008 after it was revealed her husband of 15 years had an affair with the singer’s close pal Marie-Anne Thiébaud. The marriage collapsed and the singer went on to tie the knot with Marie-Anne’s ex-husband Frederic Thiebaud, and Shania has now insisted she holds no feelings of ill will towards her former partner.
Speaking on Jamie Laing’s ‘Great Company’ podcast, Shania explained: “Forgiveness is in the family of letting go. But forgiveness, more specifically for me anyway, is not about forgetting necessarily.
“It’s about understanding the other person, and that might mean that they’re wrong.”
She added of Lange: “So do I hate my ex -husband for making a mistake? No. It’s his mistake. Not my mistake.
“So sad for him that he made such a great mistake that he has to live with. And I don’t know what that is, but it’s not. That’s not my weight.”
It comes after Shania revealed she continued to co-parent son Eja, now 22, with Lange after the split, but they only ever communicate via text message.
During an appearance on the ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, she said: “Mutt and I parent well together – for people who don’t talk to each other. We’ll just text.
“We both love our son so much, so we don’t play any games like that. We have the same priority; we share spaces for him. No nonsense there.”
Lange is still in a relationship with Marie-Anne, while Shania remains married to Frederic Thiebaud and she during her time on ‘Armchair Expert’ she revealed the romance grew out of their shared pain over the affair.
She said: “[I saw] how gracefully and graciously he was dealing with navigating the same pain.”
Shania added of her husband: “Fred’s so smart. This is one of the smartest people I know, [and] he didn’t know [about the affair] either. That helped me feel better. I got what I deserve. I got the greatest man on the planet.”

The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star has denied being “jealous” of Ariana Madix’s recent run of success – but Scheana has confessed to wanting validation from her friends and romantic partners.
Scheana, 39, said on the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ reunion episode: “I don’t think it is jealousy. It is a feeling of being left out.
“Call me a pick-me, whatever the f*** you want to say. I do like feeling that validation – not just from men – but from my friends.
“As she was getting all this opportunity, I didn’t want her to forget about me. I wanted to be on the journey with her.”
Ariana, 38, made her Broadway debut and became the new host of ‘Love Island USA’, following her acrimonious split from Tom Sandoval in 2023.

The 58-year-old singer has insisted she’s “fine” with getting older, and Shania remains keen to keep having “fun” with her appearance.
She told ‘Extra’: “I’m embracing the ageing. I’m fine with it. I don’t have a choice. I can’t change it.
“So I decided whatever I can’t change, I need to have fun with … What I wanted to get used to was, ‘What do I look like with my hair going lighter and lighter and lighter and lighter?”
Shania recently dyed her hair pink and it actually made her feel younger.
The award-winning star explained: “The pink surprisingly made me feel younger, looking younger somehow. And it’s so light, it’s practically grey. So that was a really good surprise. And when I’m entirely grey, if I ever do want to hue my hair, I know I’m gonna look great.”
Shania’s outlook on life and her career has changed over recent times.
The ‘Any Man of Mine’ hitmaker shared: “You start realising with more experience that you waste a lot of time worrying and fearing, and fear is just in your way.
“I think there’s you learn eventually that some things are worth worrying about … So much fear is just not necessary. Fear of ageing. I’m not afraid of ageing. What a waste of my energy to worry about that and to fear that.”
What’s more, Shania has become more appreciative of her own success.
The singer said: “I’m taking it in now. All these years later.
“I’m absorbing more of the accolades than I did when I was receiving them. Because life was really going fast. The accolades were coming in really fast. That was really fabulous. I wasn’t present. And I wasn’t celebrating in the moment.

OHMYGOSSIP — Christie Brinkley’s scar from skin cancer removal surgery is “barely noticeable”.
The 70-year-old model was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma on her face earlier this year after she accompanied her daughter Alexa Ray Joel, 38, to a dermatologist appointment and asked the doctor to check out a spot that was worrying her. She subsequently had the cancerous cells removed and she is thrilled to have been left with a scar that’s barely visible.
During an appearance on the ‘TODAY’ show, Christie explained: ” They got a great surgeon, a great plastic surgeon to stitch it up and they took care of it and luckily, my hair grows in that direction, but the scar is barely noticeable.”
She also spoke about how her diagnosis came about during her daughter’s skin appointment. Christie explained: “I was in the room, and he had this little magnifying glass out, and he’s looking at a couple of things that she was worried about.
“I thought, ‘There is that little spot right on the side of my head right here … Should I say anything? It’s not my appointment.’
“Then right at the very end, as he was putting away his little thing, I said, ‘Before you put that away, do you think you could just look at this?’
“He looked and he goes, ‘We’ve got to do a biopsy immediately. This is something.’ Then the biopsy came back (as) cancer’.”
After undergoing surgery, Christie went public with her cancer news and urged others to be extra vigilant with sun protection and skin check-ups.
In a post on Instagram, she wrote: “The good news for me is we caught the basal cell Carcinoma early. And I had great Doctors that removed the cancer and stitched me up to perfection like an haute couture Dior.
“The good news for you is that all of this can be avoided by being diligent with your sun protection! I got serious a bit late so now for this ole mermaid/gardener, I’ll be slathering on my SPF 30, reapplying as needed, wearing long sleeves and a wide brim hat. And doing regular total body check ups … that is a MUST!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ewan McGregor dreams of returning to the West End stage.
The 53-year-old actor hasn’t taken on any theatre roles since he played Iago in a production of William Shakespeare’s ‘Othello’ at London’s Donmar Warehouse alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor in the title role between 2007 and 2008 – now Ewan has admitted to Variety that he’s itching to tread the boards once again and he wants to have another shot at playing the Bard’s famous villain.
He told the outlet: “I played Iago in ‘Othello’ in London with Chiwetel Ejiofor, and I felt like I scratched the surface of that role. So I’ve often felt [that] one day, I’d like to do that again.
“That was a real mountain in terms of feeling worthy to do that one. It’s also just the pressure of, ‘Am I doing it right?’ To do it again without all that shit and just try and really dig into what’s there on the page would be amazing. I will try and do that again at some point.”
Elsewhere in the Variety interview, Ewan talked about starring in TV show ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’ and admitted it’s much more tiring than working on a movie.
He explained: “I love making movies. I always dreamed of being a movie star. Then I was in movies. Every time I would sit there at the premiere, I couldn’t believe I was up there [on screen]. I still have that, I guess, but I don’t know what it means exactly …
“[Movies] are enormously taxing. A movie, you can shoot in a couple of months, and you can throw yourself heart and soul into that. You know the light is down at the tunnel. When you’re doing something that’s six months long, at the end of your first month, you’re exhausted!”

The pair first met back in 2008 when they made superhero movie ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ together in Australia and they have been close pals ever since with Ryan, 47, admitted the “secret sauce” to their bromance is treating it like a true relationship because they can tell each other anything and he’s “genuinely rooting” for his pal to succeed.
Ryan told PEOPLE: “I think the secret sauce to a long-lasting Hollywood friendship is not too dissimilar to having a partner or a marriag.

Ryan revealed their friendship got off to a good start when they met on set and Hugh welcomed him to the cast with a hug. He added: “I was walking through the trailers, jet-lagged, disoriented, feeling really green and kind of out of my depth, and there was no script to look at. It was just like, what’s going to happen?
“And I heard my name, ‘Ryan!’ in between these trailers as I was walking. And it was you. Just the fact that you knew my name meant so much to me. And you came over, you gave me a big hug and you said, ‘Welcome aboard’.”
The pair are back in action together for a new movie featuring their superhero characters ‘Deadpool Wolverine’ and Hugh revealed Ryan welcomed him onboard in a similar way.

The 35-year-old TV star has taken to social media to defend her son from criticism, describing him as “perfect and innocent”.
Brittany – who has Cruz, three, with her estranged husband Jax Taylor – wrote on Instagram: “You guys can reel in the drama of my life I don’t care but leave my innocents sons name out of it!!! Don’t act like you know anything about him watching 30 mins of a show recorded last summer. I do everything I possibly can for him so how dare some of you!? ENOUGH he is a perfect and innocent child and I will not have strangers acting like they know what’s going on in his life. Talk about me talk about his father I don’t care but enough is enough!!!!!! OHMYGOSSIP — Khloe Kardashian can’t wait to turn 40 next month because she is “shedding” her old life and embracing a “new version” of herself.
‘The Kardashians’ star reaches the milestone on June 27 and she’s counting down the days until she starts the new decade because she sees it as a representation of a new era following a turbulent few years which included the breakdown of her relationship with boyfriend Tristan Thompson, the father of her two children.
Khloe, 39, told Grazia magazine: “I’m going to be 40 in June and I think most people are nervous or get weird about it and I am counting down the moments until that day.
“I feel like I’m shedding so much of my old life, an old version of me, and I’m so excited for this new version,’ she explains. ‘I know it’s so hugely clichéd to say it, but with age and experience comes wisdom, and that wisdom brings me more peace.”
Khloe also shared her advice on dealing with “comparison culture” – insisting it’s not healthy to measure yourself against other people because the perfect images portrayed online are often far from reality.
She added: “All of this … is smoke and mirrors. Everyone is perpetrating this ideal version of themselves – look how happy and cute we are, and this perfect family we have, and look how successful I am – no one is showing when they got into a fight with their husband or when they couldn’t pay their bills.
“We have got to stop looking at what everyone else is doing and remember how great you are doing.”
It comes after Khloe opened up about her decision to overhaul her diet and her lifestyle several years ago revealing it hasn’t been an easy process.
During an appearance on the ‘SHE MD’ podcast, Khloe explained: “I used to be overweight a lot of my life. God, I mean my weight-loss journey.
“It took years for me. I’ve always been chubby – like athletic. I’ve always played sports. I just was never in shape.”
However, Khloe has managed to transform her body and her mind through a series of “lifestyle changes”.
The reality star added: “I would, let’s say, cut out all sodas. Little by little, I would cut things out. I would do that for a week and then cut out one other thing because I realised, I did every diet under the sun when I was younger.
“I used to be a major emotional eater for sure, but then when I was done, I would always be like, ‘Wait!’ I would feel so good eating. And then … so bad after. “And then I would cry and probably do it again because I was sad so I needed the ice cream again. And it was this crazy repeat cycle, but I gave myself a lot of patience and I just took my time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Redmayne gets offered booze by drunk audience members during performances of ‘Cabaret’.
The 42-year-old Oscar-winning actor plays the Emcee opposite Gayle Rankin, 34, as Sally Bowles in a new Broadway production of the musical at the August Wilson Theater – which has been transformed into a nightspot called the Kit Kat Club to host the show – and there have been reports of boozy audience members disrupting performances.
Eddie has now admitted he enjoys interacting with the tipsy theatre-goers. Speaking on Variety’s ‘Stagecraft’ podcast, he explained: “In [the opening number] ‘Vilkommen’, I’m trying to really pull this audience to a place of ecstasy and joy, so I love someone that I can interact with.
“And what has been known to happen is I get perhaps too interactive with people who I then realise, well, part of the reason they’re so interactive is because they’ve had a glass of Champagne too many.”
He went on to reveal he’s often handed drinks by the boozed up audience members. Eddie added: “I’ve also been offered a few drinks – and I’m never one to turn down a sip of Champagne during quite a workout of a number!”
However, Gayle insisted audience interaction hasn’t been too much of an issue, adding: “It doesn’t feel like a chronic problem.”
Theatre-goers are offered a free shot of schnapps when they enter the venue and reports have suggested the boozy atmosphere has led to rows and bad behaviour, with one audience member being ejected in April for walking up to the stage and grabbing Eddie’s costume.
The actor later opened up about the incident, telling The Hollywood Reporter: “I was so in the scene that I actually don’t remember that. There was definitely someone who was a bit too eager who was clapping along to the rhythm of ‘Mein Herr’, and singing along a bit too vocally.
“We love a vocal and passionate audience, but there’s a line.”
The show runs until the end of August.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel B’s ex-husband is suing her for defamation.
The Spice Girls singer split from Stephen Belafonte in March 2017 and claimed he had been abusive during their 10-year marriage, but now the producer is looking to obtain $5 million damages from the ‘Stop’ hitmaker after claiming she “engaged in a deliberate and wide-ranging campaign to cause him severe emotional distress and destroy his reputation.”
According to documents filed in Florida on Wednesday (29.05.24) and obtained by PageSix.com, Stephen alleged Mel began her “long-brewing harassment” in 2017 with her allegations of domestic violence, which she “dismissed” before he was able to have his “day in court”.
The documents added: “Nevertheless, the damage had been done. As a result of Ms. Brown’s false allegations of rape, illegal gun possession, sex trafficking, production of illegal pornography, domestic battery and child endangerment, Mr. Belafonte lost access to his home and children.”
The 49-year-old producer alleged their marriage was tainted by Mel’s “serious substance abuse problem, which included the abuse of cocaine, alcohol and prescription drugs”, and noted how he had had primary custody of their 12-year-old daughter Madison since 2019, despite being portrayed as an “abuser” and a “monster”. Stephen went on to allege the ‘Wannabe’ hitmaker has visited their child “only once” over the last four years, despite travelling to the US for work.
Stephen went on to accuse Mel of “enriching herself through her charity ambassadorship at Women’s Aid.”
The bombshell lawsuit also includes text messages supposedly between Mel and her bandmate Geri Horner, which he claimed showed the former ‘X Factor’ judge’s “true intentions are to leverage her charitable appeal for further sales, celebrity and opportunity.”
Mel allegedly wrote: “Charity doesn’t pay the bills.”
The reply supposedly from Geri read: “I hope nobody ever hacks your texts!!!!! I believe we should do something good and kicking off with a charity gig would be hugely positive. The power of our brand is enormous and all of our work is off the back of it including Vikki [Victoria Beckham]!!!!!! (sic)”
In response, Mel responded: “Why? My texts are fine to me anyways so no need to worry. Like I said charity doesn’t pay the bills everyone no’s that.(sic)”
The ‘Thank You For Smoking’ producer is seeking $5 million in compensatory damages, as well as punitive damages and a gagging order against his ex-wife. He is also seeking a trial by jury.
Sources told PageSix Stephen is “not looking to settle” and plans to split any money he is given from the lawsuit with an abuse programme for women.
A spokesperson for Mel – who also has Phoenix, 25, and 17-year-old Angel from previous relationships – has yet to comment.

“But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him.

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Watts had a “very awkward” audition when she had to “make-out” with a “very well-known” actor.
The 55-year-old star didn’t name the project or her potential co-star, but she told how the pair had a “mortifying” experience when they didn’t hear “cut” being called and kept kissing for too long, leaving her “rattled”.
Speaking with Jodie Foster, Brie Larson, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Ana Sawai and Sofía Vergara for The Hollywood Reporter’s Drama Actresses round table, she recalled: “It was very awkward. I was auditioning and I didn’t get the job, so clearly I did not do a good make-out. It was with a very well-known actor. It was mortifying because we didn’t hear a ‘cut’, and it just kept going.
“Then they were like, ‘OK, OK.’ And we both were like, ‘Oh, sorry, we didn’t hear …’ I did feel a bit rattled.”
The ‘Feud’ actress thinks she has always been “shockingly bad” at auditions, but found her ‘Mulholland Drive’ director David Lynch’s approach to casting very refreshing.
She explained: “Some people are really good at auditioning, but I was shockingly bad too. I could feel the energy in the room where people were like, ‘Hurry this along.’
“I’d even go, ‘Yeah, don’t worry, I’m out of your way in one second. You don’t even have to look me in the eye and shake my hand.’
“It took meeting David Lynch, who’s a master of filmmaking, and he just sat and talked to me. He said, ‘Tell me about yourself.’ And I fell into it, this conversation. I was like, ‘Wait, really? You want to take time with me? You want to know [stuff] about me and how I was raised and all of that?’ And then I got the job. I didn’t even have to audition.”
Meanwhile, Naomi – who has sons Sasha, 17, and 15-year-old Kai with former partner Liev Schreiber – admitted she initially worried it would be “career suicide” if she spoke about being menopausal, before ultimately realising it is more important to share stories and support other women.
She said: “I felt like if I ever dared to mention that word, I would be branded as redundant, finished, off to pasture. It’d be career suicide to bring that into the room.
“But then I was like, ‘This makes no sense. We’re half the population. Everybody’s going to go into menopause at some point, so why shouldn’t we be talking about it?’
“When you learn about the symptoms and how long they can go on for, it’s like, ‘Why can’t we find the support?’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison have got married.
The ‘Yellowstone’ co-stars tied the knot at the 34-year-old actress’ family home in Dallas, and their “heartfelt” ceremony and reception had a Western influence to pay homage to their characters in the drama series.
Hassie told Vogue magazine: “From the start, Ryan and I just really wanted to create a day that wasn’t just a series of events—but a heartfelt experience that centered around emotions, comfort, intimacy and genuine moments with the people we love the most.
“Every choice was a reflection of us, and getting to witness it all come to life was incredible.
“I knew I wanted Western, but it had to be elegant Western, with tones of worn leather, delicate lace and a soft, blush colour palette.”
In keeping with the “cowboy black tie” dress code, the actress opted for two wedding dresses, a corseted and beaded gown by Galia Lahav for the ceremony and a short short Netta BenShabu outfit, teamed with long lace gloves, for the reception, while her new husband donned a tailored tuxedo by Kiton with custom-made boots by Republic Boots, and a hat by American Hat Co.
The wedding weekend kicked off with a “cowboy cocktail welcome night” at the Crescent Club in Dallas, which saw guests enjoy an “old-time Western bar complete with a mariachi band, Texas wildflowers and a great DJ” for the event.
The couple had sought to mimic Gruene Hall, Texas’ oldest dance hall for their ceremony, with communal tables and a living greenery wall, while guests were served a Texan menu including cornbread, caviar, smoked ribs and corn on the cob.
Although the pair met on the set of the drama series, Hassie credits her mother for her and Ryan getting together over a year ago.
She explained: “Our story is thanks to my mom.
“She and Ryan met by chance through a mutual friend at a charity event in Dallas during a production break.
“I wasn’t there, but it just happened to be during a time when both Ryan and I were transitioning into new chapters of our lives.
“They got to talking and discovered just how many Texas-based friends and acquaintances we had in common—so sensing an opportunity, she encouraged Ryan to give me a call.
“It truly was one of those serendipitous moments that make you realise life has a way of bringing people together at precisely the right time and place.”

The ‘Luther’ actor’s gravelly tones won him the top spot in a new survey, placing narrowly ahead of fellow actor Tom Hardy and James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, in third.
According to the Bingo Association’s study, TV chef Nigella Lawson has the sexiest female voice, polling slightly ahead of ‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson.
Sir David Attenborough scooped 37% of the vote when it came to the most calming British voice, almost double that of the 20% who voted Dame Joanna Lumley into second place.
And when it comes to controversial figures, the survey found Jeremy Clarkson has the most favourite voice, taking 25% of the vote, triumphing over the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Piers Morgan.
The survey highlighted the importance of voice, with 69% of those taking part stating they believe a celebrity’s voice plays a significant role in their fame and success, and 68% believing they can always or often identify a celebrity based on their voice alone, with a further 69% stating that a celeb’s voice is what plays a significant role in their fame and success.
