OHMYGOSSIP — Adjoa Andoh’s kids don’t care that she is famous.
The 61-year-old star – who has Liam, 28, and Jesse, 27, with her husband Howard Cunnell as well Daisy, 33, from a previous relationship – is known around the world to Netflix audiences as Lady Danbury in the hit period drama ‘Bridgerton’ but insisted that because she had always been a jobbing actress before finding global fame, everything is still just normal for her children.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, she said: “They don’t care. ‘Is there food in the fridge?’ That’s all they want to know. ‘Can you put £20 in my account?’ That’s what they want. They’re really proud of me but they’ve grown up with it.
“I got my first Equity job and found out I was pregnant with my eldest in the same week so it’s been my whole professional life I’ve had kids.
“So they’re just like ‘That’s what mum does.’ It just meant that I didn’t go to the sports day, and my packed lunches were rubbish because I didn’t have time. All that stuff. I’m just their mum.”
The actress began her career in the theatre and then appeared in numerous British television shows as well as films like ‘Adulthood’ but admitted being a part in such a worldwide hit has meant that she has found a global community with fans around the world.
She said: “It’s one of those jobs that has so much love in the room for it. It’s amazing to be in something like that. I’ve been in Warsaw, Johannesburg, I’ve been in New York. Everywhere I go, the thing I really love about it is that nothing matters other than ‘Do you like the show? All right, then we’re all here.’ That’s the focus. It’s a joyful thing.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Laga‘aia is set to star in the titular role for the live-action ‘Moana’ movie.
Disney has announced the 17-year-old actress – who has Samoan roots – “will be voyaging to Motunui and beyond as the adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people.”
She said: “I’m really excited to embrace this character because Moana is one of my favorites.
“My grandfather comes from Fa‘aala, Palauli, in Savai‘i. And my grandmother is from Leulumoega Tuai on the main island of ‘Upolu in Samoa. I’m honored to have an opportunity to celebrate Samoa and all Pacific Island peoples, and to represent young girls who look like me.”
The character was voiced by Auliʻi Cravalho, 23, in the 2016 animated movie and the upcoming sequel, which is due for release on November 27, and is separate from the live-action movie.
New Zealander John Tui will play Moana’s “no-nonsense” father, Chief Tui, Samoan-New Zealand actress Frankie Adams portrays Moana’s “playful and strong-willed” mother, Sina, and Rena Owen, who hails from Bay of Islands, NZ, was cast as the “revered” Gramma Tala.
It was previously confirmed that Dwayne Johnson, 52, who voiced the eccentric demigod Maui in the 2016 animated version of the film, will reprise his role.
A press release continues: “Moana will bring to life in a whole new way the story of a young woman eager to pave her own path. Celebrating the islands, communities and traditions of Pacific Islanders in a spectacular adventure, the production begins filming this summer. ”
Director Thomas Kail said: “I am thrilled to have met Catherine, Rena, Frankie and John through this casting process.
“I am humbled by this opportunity, and I cannot wait to all be on set together.
‘And there’s no better pair to be in a canoe with than Catherine and Dwayne – actually, trio: Heihei is ready, too.”
The flick is due to hit cinemas on July 10, 2026.

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Crowe took a decade to answer his fanmail.
The ‘Gladiator’ actor used to be overwhelmed with “sacks” of messages from his loyal audience and always did his best to reply, even if it took a long time, though now he’s much more efficient with his responses.
He told the Heroes issue of Britain’s GQ magazine: “There [was] a period of time on the farm where our mail would come once every two weeks, but it was a sack. It took years and years [to go through it].
“Every time I went home, I’d tell my niece. ‘Just put a pile that I can handle on my desk.’
“So I’d just do a little bit, she sends them off. Some of those people must be getting their s*** a decade after they sent it.
“And over time, I’ve now got back to balance. So now I’m only signing what’s just recently arrived.”
The 60-year-old actor – who has sons Charles, 20, and Tennyson, 17, with ex-wife Danielle Spencer – insisted he isn’t ready to write an autobiography just yet because he always finds the early lives of stars more interesting than when they find success, and he’s still too “young” to tell those stories.
He laughed: “To me, when I read an autobiography, once the lights start flashing, and the awards start coming in, the money’s rolling in, I’m out of the story. I want to know the early stuff.
“I think you’ve got to be in a certain place to do that.
“And I’m still young enough that those stories aren’t ready to be told.
“There’s still too many people alive who are quite litigious. So let’s wait a while.”
Despite his many career successes, Russell regrets passing the opportunity to play one of his favourite musicians in a biopic, but felt he’d be “cheating” in terms of his secondary path as a musician if he took on the role.
He explained: “There was an experience that I was offered – I now know the director, and I know that him and I working together, surrounded by music, would’ve been a fantastic experience.
“It was a biopic of a musician that I love.
“I kind of felt there was a cheating aspect to it, you know. It would put me in a position from a music career perspective that I wouldn’t have earned.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Alba wants her children to have “leadership” roles in showbusiness.
The 43-year-old actress – who has Honor, 16, Haven, 12, and si-year-old Hayes with husband Cash Warren – has been active in Hollywood for over 20 years and when asked if she wants her kids to follow in her footsteps, admitted that she would rather they stepped behind the camera.
She told People: “The thing is, I think if you tell your kid anything, they’re going to do the opposite, right. If they do want to be a performer, then being able to be a producer and a writer, or a director.
“I think having that leadership role is really important to the art and be part of the art in a way where they feel like they can have more autonomy and there’s more dignity.”
The ‘Trigger Warning’ got her big break when she was cast in the leading role of ‘Dark Angel’ in 2000 and felt a “desperation” in taking the job at the time, but noted that feeling stood her in good stead for the rest of her career.
She said: “You’re just so happy to be there and it’s like, ‘Did the cheque clear? And there’s a desperation like, ‘Please God, I need this job.’ It just puts you on your back foot. You’re not always taking the roles that are the best.”
The ‘Honey’ star has now served as an executive producer on a number of projects but wishes she had had that sort of skill set earlier on in her career.
She said: “You’re just taking roles to survive, which teaches grit and perseverance, but I do wish I would’ve had the skill set and the wherewithal to write and to know about writing and directing and producing earlier in my career.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie learned a lot about her youngest daughter through producing a Broadway show.
The ‘Maleficent’ star was introduced to ‘The Outsiders’ by 15-year-old Vivienne after the teenager saw its run on the West Coast last year, and she agreed to get involved with the New York production as a result of the youngster’s passion.
She told Deadline: “My daughter Viv loves theatre.
“She appreciates all theater but she certainly knows what she feels close to and what she responds to. She went to see ‘The Outsiders’ at La Jolla about five times and was telling me about it, and I had read the book, and I’d seen the film years ago.”
At the urging of her daughter, Angelina revisited the material and began “really watching the effect it was having on my young daughter and what she was telling me about herself, and I was learning what about it was important to her and why it connected so deeply to her.”
The 49-year-old star – who also has Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and Vivienne’s twin brother Knox with ex-husband Brad Pitt – then joined the production as producer, with her daughter as her assistant.
And Angelina realised doing so was “a moment to learn more about Viv.”
She explained: “It was a very different experience of understanding, of how this is having a significant effect on her as a young person right now, and she’s communicating something to me, and that is the power of this material.
“And then I had the privilege of watching everyone work over this last year to make it into what it is, and Vivienne has been there the whole way.”
The ‘Tomb Raider’ star previously admitted her youngest daughter reminds her of her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, because she doesn’t want to be the “centre of attention” though she works very hard.
She told E! News: “Viv reminds me of my mother, in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives.

The singer and actor, 55, had his son with his 25-year-old fourth wife Nadia in June 2023, and his partner has taken to Instagram to share a photo of her holding the tot at his first birthday party – alongside a message saying they have called him Marco.
She said in her caption of the image: “Today marks one year since you came into the world, to teach me so many things… one of them being the greatest love that exists… being your mother, my son.”
Nadia added that was “no way to explain” the “infinite love” she feels for her child and the “excitement” she feels witnessing him grow as she teaches him new things every day.

OHMYGOSSIP — Céline Dion’s children are worried she will be killed by her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
The 56-year-old ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer was forced to stop performing following her 2022 diagnosis of the rare condition, and she has now opened up about how her fight with the disorder has left her three kids gripped with fear about how long she will live.
She said in a preview of her upcoming interview on Australia’s ‘Sunrise’ morning show: “I don’t have my mom. I don’t have my dad. My kids are scared because they lost their dad.
“They’re wondering if I’m going to die.”
Céline had her three sons – René-Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 13, with her music producer husband of 22 years René Angélil, who died from throat cancer aged 73 in 2016.
Her illness causes progressive muscle stiffness and repeated muscle spasms.
The singer was first hit symptoms in 2008, but they worsened by 2021 when she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency due to “severe” spams and she later cancelled her ‘Courage’ world tour.
She also recently admitted she did not “take the time” to understand the early symptoms of her Stiff Person Syndrome.
She told broadcaster Hoda Kotb, 59, on the ‘Today’ show: “I did not take the time I should have stopped, take the time to figure it out.”
Referring to how she was caring for ill René at the time she was suffering, she added: “My husband as well was fighting for his own life. I had to raise my kids, I had to hide. I had to try to be a hero.”
But she added about her symptoms becoming too unbearable to stop sharing with her loved ones: “Feeling my body leaving me, holding on to my own dreams… I could not do this anymore.
“Lying for me, the burden was too much. Lying to the people who got me where I am today, I could not do it anymore.”
She added her stiffness can also sometimes feel like parts of her body are locked into place, saying: “It feels like, if I point my feet, they will stay (there.)
“It’s cramping but it’s like in a position where you cannot unlock them.
“I have broken ribs at one point because sometimes when its very severe, it can break.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West allegedly sent explicit messages about his sex life to his former assistant.
The ‘Jesus Walks’ rapper, 47, is said to have sent the apparently unsolicited notes to Lauren Pisciotta, who has lodged a bombshell harassment lawsuit against the scandal-plagued entertainer.
Her suit was originally filed on 3 June, and newly obtained extracts from the legal papers state Kanye allegedly sent a message to his ex-employee that said: “One time I took Viagra and f***** (an A-list celebrity) for three hours. Not sure why that thought came to me.”
Another text from the rapper to Lauren is alleged to have read: “You got (name redacted)’s (mobile) number? I need him to start f****** some of my b******. “I love when b****** get the s*** f***** out of them and tell me about it while I f*** them.”
Kanye, whose legal name is Ye, allegedly also sent messages to Lauren claiming he liked when the women he is dating cheat on him with a “bigger d***” and would refer to his “racist” private parts.
He is said to have added to her: “I’m going to stare at pictures of white woman with black a**** and beat the s*** out of my racist d***.”
Lauren also alleges she was required to get Kanye a sexual enhancement and performance lotion several times.
The rapper is also said to told his former employee he fantasised about getting arrested for “f****** the s*** out of his assistant”.
Kanye – who was infamously dumped from a string of big-name brand deals in the wake of his 2022 anti-Semitic outbursts – has denied all the allegations in the lawsuit, saying they are “baseless” and amount to “blackmail”.
The Yeezy founder’s lawyers alleged earlier this month: “Prior to her termination as an assistant, Ms Pisciotta stole his cell phone in an attempt to destroy phone records that would contradict her claims, all of which have been preserved.
“She was terminated for being unqualified, demanding unreasonable sums of money (including a $4 million annual salary) and numerous documented incidents of her lascivious, unhinged conduct.”
The attorneys also accused Lauren of offering Kanye sex on his birthday, claiming he turned down her alleged advances,
They also say the former assistant sent the rapper “unsolicited nude images” and “sexual narratives” and was “seen twerking in the office during business hours”.
Kanye is said to be planning to file his own lawsuit against his former assistant, but it has not yet appeared.
Lauren also claims Kanye touched himself in front of her.
She says her role required her to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and was promoted to chief of staff in September 2022 with an alleged offer of a $4 million salary.
She was fired just one month later and allegedly never given her $3 million severance deal.
Lauren is also suing for breach of contract and hostile work environment.
She is one of a string of Kanye’s ex-staff who have launched legal action against him.
He is also being sued by former Donda Academy employees, including a man named Benjamin Deshon Provo, who claims the rapper “berated” him because of the colour of his skin.
Another ex-staff member, Trevor Phillips, alleged in a suit lodged in April Kanye flaunted nude photos of a female friend to other colleagues and once simulated touching himself in front of him during a meeting.

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ has been the most “exhausting” but “rewarding” run of shows of the singer’s life.
The ‘Bad Blood’ performer, 34, made the emotional admission at the 100th gig of her epic world tour in Liverpool on Thursday (13.06.24) night – which she said was one of the windiest she had also ever played.
She told a crowd of thousands of fans at the Anfield Stadium during her three hour-plus show: “This is actually the 100th show. That blows my mind – it doesn’t feel like a statistic to me… because this has genuinely been the most exhausting, all-encompassing but most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life, this tour.”
While standing in a flowing red sequinned gown, Taylor added she had become so consumed with planning each of her ‘Eras Tour’ gigs she has forgotten her hobbies.
She added: “I think that this tour has really became my entire life. It’s really taken over everything.
“I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t knew what they are anymore because all I do when I’m not on stage is, like, sit at home and try to think about clever acoustic song mash-ups and think about being here.
“When I’m not on this stage I’m dreaming about being back on the stage with you guys.”
Taylor also said she was struggling with the idea the 100th show meant her epic tour would end later this year.
She added: “I think, ‘How do you celebrate the 100th show?’ And for me the celebration of the 100thshow means to me… this is the first time I’ve been able to acknowledge this tour is going to end in December, and, like, that’s it, and it feels so far away from now.”
At least 150,000 ‘Swifties’ are said to have descended on Liverpool for her three-night run in the city – many of them dressed in Taylor-style outfits and kitted out in the merchandise being sold around Anfield.
Taylor told her fans on Thursday: “You’ve done so much to be with us. You’ve made plans so far in advance.
“You planned what you were going to wear, you memorised the lyrics.
“You got yourselves here, you figured out transportation.
“And I’m thinking about that, and being in this moment and being here with you.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jesse Plemons is denying using Ozempic to lose weight.
The ‘Civil War’ actor, 36, who has been married to Kirsten Dunst, 42, since 2022, sparked speculation in March he had been on the diabetes drug when the couple walked the Oscars red carpet and he showed off a dramatically slimmed-down frame.
But he has now told the Los Angeles Times: “It’s really unfortunate that I decided to get healthy when everyone decided to take Ozempic. It doesn’t matter. Everyone’s going to think I took Ozempic anyways.”
Jesse instead claims he shed his weight with the help of intermittent fasting after the practice was recommended by “several people”.
He added: “I just gave it a shot and (was) surprised at how quickly it was effective.
“(Then I) felt like I was in the rhythm, I was feeling better, and something shifted in my head. I just sort of got a handle on it.”
Jesse also opened up about why he decided to overhaul his physique, saying his role as a gun-toting killer in ‘Civil War’ – which depicted a conflict-ravaged US – made him think the character would not be the size he was in reality.
He added: “There was a part that I did that in my mind I could not imagine him as the size that I was. I lost a little bit before I did that part.”
Jesse said his choice was also down to him “getting older”.
But he added about his hatred of discussing weight loss techniques: “I hate even getting specific because then it turns into a whole thing.”
Jesse and Kirsten, who starred alongside him in ‘Civil War’ as a war photographer, had been dating her since 2016 before they got hitched.
The couple had their first child, a son whose name they have yet to share, two years later.

The ‘CBS Mornings’ co-host, 69, used a custom-made T-shirt to give an update on the chat show queen’s condition after her 70-year-old friend was treated for a violent stomach bug that was so severe she was hooked to an IV drip.
Gayle posed in her shirt for snaps posted to Instagram, with the front of the top emblazoned with the message: “OPRAH is FINE! Thank you for asking.”
Another image of Gayle showed her displaying the back of the T-shirt, which carried the message to fans: “She appreciates your concern!”
Gayle said in a caption alongside the shots she had decided to wear the top as “10 people” in the office had asked her the “same question” about Oprah’s condition.
Gayle told earlier this week how Oprah was unable to appear on her CBS show this week because she was suffering from a virus.
She said on Tuesday (11.06.24): “She had some kind of stomach thing – stomach flu – stuff was coming out of both ends. I won’t get too graphic. “Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital, dehydration, had to get an IV – it was a very serious thing.”
The news anchor added Oprah was trying to “rally” but couldn’t manage to make it to the show.
A spokesperson for Oprah said the presenter-turned media mogul was “recovering following a stomach flu” and had “received an IV due to dehydration at the recommendation of her doctor”.
They added: “She is resting and feeling better every day.”
Despite Gayle’s initial message about Oprah being hospitalised, the presenter then took to Instagram to clarify she had not been treated on a ward.
She added in a caption alongside a video of her talking to Oprah on FaceTime: “She was sidelined with a stomach virus that caused such dehydration that she went to the hospital to get an IV drip.
“I thought I made that clear but next thing I know I’m surprised to see headlines that scream ‘Oprah’s hospitalised!’ (She was NOT!)

“I made an album that we would connect over. I felt so far apart (from you) – we had to cancel shows because of the pandemic and I was really missing you guys so I started making music.
“I made music that was a little different than what I made before. But it was just really fun and I don’t think I’ll really every stop doing that… I love creating fictional characters.”
‘Folklore’ was a surprise release when it came out on 25 July, 2020.
Taylor had cancelled the concert tour for her seventh studio album ‘Lover’ in the wake of the Covid outbreak and described the new record as “a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness”.
The singer also told fans in Liverpool on Thursday the winds were so high during the gig her ear pieces had sounds like “wind tunnels”.

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham says a Spice Girls reunion is “not happening”.
The retired football hero, 49, shut down growing speculation the Nineties girl group, which included his wife Victoria Beckham as Posh Spice, was planning to go on tour again after they reunited for a surprise song at the singer-turned fashion designer’s 50th birthday party in April.
He told Variety about the chances of them going back on the road together: “Unfortunately, that’s not happening.”
David added about the Spice Girls’ birthday singalong: “Victoria was so pleased to see the girls, and it was a massive part of her life, the girls, but obviously, all the girls have got their own things going on.
“They will do certain things together at certain times.”
David also stressed his wife’s schedule is packed, adding: “If anyone’s busier than me, it’s her.”
Victoria and her former bandmates Geri Halliwell, 51, Mel C, 50, Mel B, 49, and Emma Bunton, 48, were filmed by David at her 50th party in London singing their 1998 single ‘Stop’.
David added about the clip sparking fans’ hopes of a tour reunion: “I know it’s what people want, but in all honesty, I think I was the most excited of anyone.”
He said he was blown away seeing “all of the girls in one room” again, adding: “All of the girls haven’t been on a stage together for over 15 years. So, to have them all there, to have them all up on stage, to have our youngest son playing guitar?”
Mel B stoked hopes of a Spice Girls reunion when she posted David’s clip with the message: “#tourdatescomingsoon”.
She had also recently hinted at a potential reunion tour in honour of the group’s 30th anniversary.
After shooting to fame in the Nineties, the Spice Girls became one of the biggest-selling female pop groups of all time.
They disbanded in 2000, and the last time all five of them performed together was in 2012 at the London Olympics, with the group then touring without Victoria in 2019.

The ‘We Found Love’ singer, 36, has sons RZA, two, and 10-month-old Riot with her rapper partner A$AP Rocky, 35, and admitted being hit with the condition was “not on the pamphlet” when she started her journey to motherhood.
She said in an interview shared by Refinery29 to mark the launch of her Fenty Hair products: “I did not expect it to happen in waves, either. I thought it would just happen and grow back.”
Rihanna said clumps of her hair fell off in different places on her head, leaving her thinking: “Enough is enough.”
She added about how it forced her to change her style: “I learned to embrace that in itself. That just actually made me get a little more creative and clever with my hair stuff.”
Rihanna wore her hair in closely cropped curls for her launch event, with fans said they found her admission “relatable”.
Her new Fenty haircare line features $29 shampoo and a heat-protecting styling cream for $28.
Rihanna started dating A$AP in 2020 after the pair were linked professionally as early as 2013.
Their boy RZA’s name is a tribute to producer and rapper RZA, 54, leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs – as well as being a nod to A$AP’s middle name.
Along with telling how her hair loss sparked a change in her style, Rihanna recently said her revealing old outfits are her biggest fashion “ick”.
She said when asked by British to name her greatest turn-off when it comes to clothes: “I did so much (rubbish) in my life. I had my nipples out, I had my panties out.
“But now those are the things, I guess, as a mom, as an evolved young lady… it’s just things that I just feel like I would never do.
“And I’m just like, ‘Oh my god, I really did that? nips out?’”
