Kym Marsh splits from boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has split from her boyfriend, two months after they bought a house together.
The ‘Coronation Street’ actress and her toyboy lover Matt Baker recently splashed out £500,000 on a lovenest for themselves but the pressure of buying the property together led to their split last week.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “They wanted this to work out and have spent weeks trying to work through the issues but, sadly, it just wasn’t to be.
“In the end, they both agreed it was for the best that they go their separate ways despite buying a house together so recently.”
Their careers are also said to be a factor in the split, with personal trainer Matt, 27, working hard on opening a new restaurant, while Kym, 41, has been putting in long hours on set.
The insider said: “Matt has been working on opening a new restaurant while Kym does very long hours on set with Coronation Street – while also being a committed mum to her children.
“The pressure of moving proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back but they’re determined to keep things civilised.
“It has just been a very upsetting period for everyone involved.”
A spokesperson Kym confirmed the split after two years of dating, saying: “Sadly, we can confirm Kym and Matt have made the decision to take some time apart but remain friends.”
Kym – who has three children from previous relationships – has said in the past that she didn’t want anymore children but she and Matt had not ruled out marriage.
She said: “I’ve finished having kids now so I feel like I’ve got a really good idea of what my life looks like for the foreseeable future and I think that’s comforting. I’m happy with work and I’m happy with my personal life, too … I’ve made the decision I don’t want to have any more children. My life feels complete in that respect. Having children is all about being selfless and, actually, I want to start having a bit of time of me soon. I think I’ve done enough for motherhood.”
Speaking of marriage, she added: “I’d never say never. We’ve spoken about our future together and we’re just seeing how it goes. We get on really well and we’re enjoying things as they are at the moment. I think in the past I’ve hurried into things and I’ve learnt from that.”
