Hurricane threatens Susan Calman’s Strictly future

OHMYGOSSIP — Strictly Come Dancing’s Susan Calman only has three days to learn her new routine for this weekend’s show after Kevin Clifton’s flight was cancelled because of Hurricane Ophelia.
The 42-year-old comedienne has asked Sir Richard Branson – who founded the Virgin Group – to lend her a private plane for the day to escort her professional partner from London to Glasgow, Scotland, so that they can start rehearsing their new dance after various airlines decided to halt flights around Britain following the 80mph winds forecast.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning (16.10.17), she said: “So @ keviclifton’s flight to Glasgow has already been cancelled. I’m fine though. 3 days to learn a dance is fine. No problem. Thank goodness I’m such a natural at the Latin dances. We will have two and half days to learn the number. Hi @richardbranson. We met on the One Show last week. Can I borrow a plane or a helicopter or a train? Just for a day. Thanks. (sic)”
Fans tried to help by offering to drive Kevin – who is currently in rehearsals in London – from the capital to Glasgow but Susan suggest that she and the hunk practice via Skype.
She added: “You are all so sweet. I suspect I will be dancing with @keviclifton via Skype later on. We can do this. We must do this. We will do this. The #savekevin hashtag is a delight. You’re a delight. Strictly is the best TV show in the world and is watched by heroes.
“Kevin is rehearsing until later today. By the time he storm hits I suspect the trains will be disrupted as well. That’s why he was flying. (sic)”
The Met Office have predicted gusts of up to 80mph, which could put lives in danger, will cause travel chaos for two days and believe the west coast of Britain will be the worst hit.
