OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Beresford has hinted at quitting TV to pursue a career in the West End.
The 41-year-old weather presenter won ‘All Star Musicals’ on Sunday (03.04.22), and Alex has now suggested he could make a full-time move into London’s West End.
Asked about the possibility on ‘Good Morning Britain’, Alex replied: “One thing I will say is doing ‘All Star Musicals’, I loved so much – it’s one night, isn’t it? And it left me wanting more. So who knows.”
Alex also revealed he struggled to contain his emotions after being crowned the winner for his ‘Hamilton’ performance.
He said: “It felt absolutely amazing. It was surreal.
“We were all standing there on stage and waiting for them to call a name and when I heard Al … I was like ‘oh my God, it’s me’ and it was just the best feeling in the world. I’ve never won anything like that before.
“After my performance when I was listening to the judge’s comments, they were saying such lovely things and it just really touched me and my eyes welled up. I was holding my tears back – I didn’t want to blub on national television!”
Meanwhile, Alex also took to Twitter after lifting the ‘All Star Musicals’ crown.
The TV star described his time on the show as an “incredible experience”, and he also praised the other contestants.
He wrote on the micro-blogging platform: “Wow! What an incredible experience! I did not throw away my shot. So glad you guys enjoyed watching as much as I did performing that huge song. Shout out to all of the stars that took part in tonight’s show. You were all amazing. #AllStarMusicals #Hamilton (sic)”
