OHMYGOSSIP — Edith Bowman says she and Cat Deeley are “in love”.
The 48-year-old presenter has been close pals with Cat, 45, for years and she revealed that their close friendship has led to speculation they are in a lesbian relationship.
However, Edith – who is married to Editors frontman Tom Smith – laughed off the rumours, telling Angela Scanlon on her ‘Thanks A Million’ podcast: “Photographs of us kind of holding each other up, coming out of the Met bar or whatever was because we were p***** it wasn’t because we were like, licking each other’s faces off!
“And it was like, ‘Oh, Cat and Edith are in a lesbian relationship’.
“We were really good mates, and we are really good mates still. We are in love, but as friends kind of thing, It’s so bizarre.”
Edith and Tom have been together since 2005 and have children, Rudy and Spike together, while Cat married Patrick Kielty in 2012 and the couple have kids Milo and James.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Edith and Cat will be working on a new podcast ‘Friends Will Be Friends’, together.
Cat wrote on Instagram: “The secret’s out… We’ve got a brand new @bbcradio2 podcast @edibow!!
“Each week we’ll be chatting to a celebrity and their best mate to find out the stories behind their friendship.
“I’m so excited for you to hear it: listen now on @bbcsounds!”
