OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez “felt so bad” when Matt Damon was asked about her romance with Ben Affleck.
The 52-year-old pop star – who got back together with Ben Affleck in 2021 after dating him in the early 2000s – called out hosts of ‘The Today Show’ for questioning the ‘Bourne’ actor about her rekindled romance with his friend Ben when he appeared on the show last year.
Speaking during her own interview on ‘The Today Show’, she told hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie: “You guys really gave him a hard time. I felt so bad for him. I was like, ‘Oh my god.'”
At the time, Matt insisted that he doesn’t talk to his ‘Last Duel’ co-star about private matters, quipping that there is “not enough liquor in the world” to get him to open up about Ben and Jennifer’s relationship.
He said: “I talk to him every day, but we don’t talk about personal stuff, we just talk about the movie. There’s not enough liquor in the world for you to get me to say something about that.”
Later during her appearance on the talk show, the ‘Marry Me’ actress explained that she is hesitant to reveal too much about her renewed relationship with her fellow star, but insisted that they are “very happy”
She said: “I think what we learned from the last time is that love, when you are lucky enough to find it, is so sacred and special and you have to hold a little bit of that privately, and that’s what we’ve learned. But we’re very happy, if that’s what you’re wondering about.”
