OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona wants her mum to “cut down” on alcohol.
The former Atomic Kitten singer – who has Molly, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 18, with Brian McFadden, Heidi, 14, and Max, 13, with Mark Croft, and six-year-old DJ with the late George Kay – was impressed when veteran actor Sir Michael Caine recently revealed he was drinking less because he wants to be around longer for his grandchildren and though she wishes her mother Sue would do the same, she knows it’s unlikely.
Writing in her new! magazine column, Kerry said: “Michael Caine has cut down on alcohol so that he can healthier and have as much time as possible with his young grandchildren.
“I wish my mum would cut down on the booze – but I know she never will.
“It’s impressive to be 88 like Michael and knock it on the head.
“He’s an absolute legend. I love him to bits. I want him to be around for me, never mind his grandkids!”
Meanwhile, Kerry – who is engaged to Ryan Mahoney – has laughed off claims she’s been splashing the cash lately.
She explained: “I bought some art pieces for the new house from a gallery called Castle Fine Art last week and there were stories about me paying £200k for them. Bloody hell – £200k on artwork? Don’t make me laugh.
“I’m not going to say how much they were but it was nowhere near that. I wish I had that kind of money!
“I’ve wanted these pieces for over a year now and I’m a massive fan of the artist, Domingo Zapata. I think he’s brilliant.
“There were also some reports I’ve got a new designer coat. Just for the record, I got that half-price in the sale from Marc Jacobs at Christmas. It does make me laugh, what people say!”
