OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon’s dog ate her couch.
The 45-year-old actress was horrified to discover a large hole in the bottom corner of her furniture but quickly forgave her black Labrador puppy Major for the destructive act because “he is cute”.
Reese shared a video of the hole on her Instagram Story, which was captioned: “Wait! What is this??”
In a second video, the guilty-looking pup sat next to the couch and looked away when his famous owner asked: “Major, who ate the couch? Who did that? Did you do that?”
The ”Big Little Lies’ actress also added a poll for her followers to vote on the question “Does this guy look like the culprit?”
But they were left certain of the answer as their only voting options were “Umm… yes” and “No doubt he ate the sofa.”
Reese ended her puppy-shaming spree of posts with a final image of Major with his tongue out, branding him a “couch eater”.
But she added: “Good thing he is cute”
The ‘Cruel Intentions’ star – who has children Ava, 21, and Deacon, 17, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, and Tennessee, eight, with her spouse Jim Toth – welcomed Major into her household in January.
She shared a photo of him enjoying being outdoors on her Instagram account at the time along with the caption: “Welcome to our family, Major! #love my lab.(sic)”
Last October, Reese and her family were left devastated when their beloved French bulldog, Pepper, passed away.
She wrote at the time: “Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday.
“My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member. I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family.
“Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is.
“That’s what I believe. We will always love you, Pepper.”
