OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Van Outen and Eddie Boxshall have “talked about” getting engaged.
The couple have been together for seven years and though the blonde beauty admitted they are keen to make their union official, they want to wait until the coronavirus pandemic is over so they can have a big celebration.
She said: “We have talked about getting engaged, but we don’t want to be limited to celebrating with a few people. We’re not worried about having kids so there’s no rush really – we want to wait until we’re allowed one hell of a party.”
While many have struggled this year because of the restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus crisis, Denise has found a lot of positives in the situation, even though it was “challenging” at times.
She said: “It’s been challenging but I feel mentally strong and positive. And there have been some lovely, unexpected things to come out of lockdown. I’ve enjoyed long walks with friends like Fearne [Cotton] and Amanda [Byram] and we’ve got our puppy too. It’s also been nice for me and Eddie – we’ve spent more time together than ever, but we haven’t argued once.”
The 46-year-old star – who has 10-year-old daughter Betsey with ex-husband Lee Mead – watches what she eats and has cut down on dairy and alcohol since entering the perimenopause two years ago.
She said: “I felt flat and tired all the time, like I’d lost my mojo.
“I felt silly telling the doctor I didn’t feel right, because I know how lucky I am, but a blood test revealed I was low on progesterone. She prescribed hormone replacement gels and it’s the best thing I ever did – within two weeks I felt back to normal.”
