OHMYGOSSIP — Marvin Humes hopes he can watch more football now he’s got a son.
The JLS singer and wife Rochelle welcomed baby Blake – a brother for Alaia-Mai, seven, and three-year-old Valentina – into the world in October and he joked he’s pleased to have some “male back-up” that will hopefully lead to him getting his own way in front of the TV in the years to come.
He said: “I’ve been lucky with the girls to have a daddy-daughter relationship, so it’s nice for Roch to have the mummy-son relationship. It’s also nice for me to have a bit of male back-up. I constantly lose the TV control wars when the football’s on, but as Blake gets older, I think we’ll win a bit more.”
The couple are pleased their daughters have taken well to the new addition to the household and want to help out with their brother as often as they can.
Marvin said in a recent interview: “They don’t leave him alone for a second. From the minute they’re up, they’re straight in our room, wanting to give Blake loads of kisses and hold his hand.
“They’d been practising with their dolls before he arrived, so as soon as he arrived they wanted to do that for real. They’ve been feeding him bottles and helping out in the nappy department.”
And the 35-year-old singer thinks its “nice” he can introduce his son to fashion too.
He said: “I’ve got used to dressing girls but it’s nice now we’ve got Blake to dress him in boys’ stuff. Aston [Merrygold] gave him his first Adidas tracksuit the other day and I can’t wait to dress him in it.
“I’d like to think when he gets older he’ll take after me and have an interest in fashion.”
