OHMYGOSSIP — Ally Brooke has learned to embrace her vulnerabilities.
The 27-year-old singer first found fame as part of Fifth Harmony after appearing on ‘The X Factor’ in 2012, but for a long time, Ally lacked the confidence to acknowledge her vulnerabilities.
She said: “I thought that by being vulnerable, people might see me as weak, but it’s the opposite.
“Beautiful things happen when you’re open and honest with people and your fans … Just recently in my life, I’ve really honed into the vulnerability and really cherished that.”
Fifth Harmony have been on hiatus since March 2018, and the members – Ally, Normani, Dinah Jane and Lauren Jauregui – have subsequently worked on their own solo projects.
Ally loved being part of the chart-topping girl group, but she’s always wanted to become a successful solo artist.
She told Elite Daily: “I worked my whole life for a solo dream.
“But trusting, hanging on, being positive, and trying to be the best leader and example really helped to get me through each day.”
Meanwhile, Ally recently admitted she worries she’ll die a virgin.
The pop star is waiting to have sex until she’s married but she has also confessed to “praying” that she finds a husband eventually and gets a “few good years” with him.
She shared: “I pray to God like, ‘Please don’t let me die a virgin. Let me meet my husband before that happens to me and give me a few good years with him.'”
Ally uses her faith to avoid the temptations that come her way, as she encounters so many “attractive people” in her life.
She explained: “I stop the temptation by killing the mood … It’s like seeing a nice purse in the mall. You really want to buy it, but you have to save your money.”
