OHMYGOSSIP — Kristin Cavallari is teaching her sons to respect their sibling “bond”.
The 33-year-old reality star has two sons – Camden, eight, Jaxon, six – and has said she wants to make sure they understand how “special” the “unconditional love” between them is, so that they don’t let anything come between them.
She said: “I had this conversation with my boys the other day because Jaxon told Camden’s crush at school that he had a crush on her or something, and I was like, ‘You guys, you’re brothers! You need to have each other’s backs!’
“At the end of the day, this is who we can count on, you know? That means something. That’s really special. I just love having that bond, that unconditional love that’s unexplainable to anyone else.”
Kristin – who has her sons, as well as four-year-old daughter Saylor, with her estranged husband Jay Cutler – says her brood all have a “very sweet side”, and are each a combination of her and her former partner.
She added: “They also all have really good senses of humour. They can take a joke. They all have a really sensitive side too, and I think all of those things are a combination of Jay and I.”
The ‘Very Cavallari’ star also opened up on co-parenting with Jay since the couple announced their split in April, as she said they’re doing their best to “make the most” of the situation.
She told Us Weekly magazine: “There’s a way to do this. Obviously, it’s not what either of us wanted, but let’s make the most of it for them. I hope that they know that it’s because we love them so much.”
Kristin and the former professional footballer player reached a custody agreement in May, giving each parent 182.5 days a year with their little ones.
