OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Rowland’s son is “over the moon” about becoming a big brother.
The former ‘Destiny’s Child’ singer is currently expecting her second child with her husband Tim Weatherspoon, and has said the couple’s first child, five-year-old Titan, can’t wait to welcome his new sibling into the world.
She said: “He said that he wants a boy, but he’s recently said he’s wanted a girl. He is over the moon about being a big brother. He has already named the baby.”
Kelly and Tim are equally as excited to be expanding their brood, although the ‘COFFEE’ hitmaker does find the prospect of having two children “a little daunting”.
She added to E! News: “Tim and I are excited to be parents of two. A little daunting between two kids and how crazy that is and trying to balance everything off, but I’m really, really excited, for sure.”
Meanwhile, Kelly recently said she’s enjoying “every moment” of her pregnancy, as she admitted she can’t believe how “fast” the first six months have flown by.
She wrote on social media: “6 MONTHS ALREADY!! … This time passed SO FAST!!! …
“I’m enjoying every moment! … #2021 … #babymoon (sic)”
Kelly previously admitted the couple decided to “see what happens” during the coronavirus pandemic before she fell pregnant.
She said: “We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like, ‘Let’s see what happens’ … But you want to remind people that life is important. And being able to have a child … I’m knocking at 40s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot.”
Kelly also opened up about raising two black children during such a volatile time in the US.
Commenting on the death of George Floyd, she said: “I’d just put Titan to bed. I got into the show, and I had this real hard, ugly, deep cry. Because I promised to protect my kid. That was the main thing I was thinking about: protecting this little innocence.”
