OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Banjo hopes to get married next year.
The Diversity dancer got engaged to his long-term partner, Naomi Courts – the mother of his kids Cassius, two, and Mimi, 14 months – in January and they’re hoping the coronavirus crisis eases in the coming months so they can tie the knot in 2021.
Jordan told HELLO! magazine: “Fingers crossed, you never know. If we get to a better place globally and we can move forward, I’d happily get married as soon as possible.”
The 27-year-old star is a doting dad to his kids but admitted he’s much softer with them than he always expected to be.
He said: “I always used to think I’d be the same as my dad was, which is if you fall over, you get up again and brush yourself down.
“But I was like, ‘Slow down, let him catch up, please.”
Jordan loves to dance with his kids for “fun” and admitted he’s taken the same approach since he was a child himself – but his Diversity co-star brother Ashley Banjo was always much stricter about their moves.
He joked: “I’d dance around for fun. Ash, on the other hand, has been a drill sergeant since he was six. When the music came on, even though I was only three or four, he’d be like, ‘Right, no, that’s out of time.’ So not as much fun – more fear.”
Jordan previously admitted his plans to propose to Naomi had been delayed twice because of her pregnancies.
He said: “At this rate we’re going to end up with 13 kids and not going to be married. I was ready to propose when I found out she was pregnant with Cass. So I thought, ‘OK, I’ll wait until he’s a little older and then I’ll take Naomi away and surprise her with a proposal.’
“Then when I started thinking about doing it again this year I found out she was pregnant again. Now she’s convinced we’re not going to get married.”
