OHMYGOSSIP — Connor Ball has “imposter syndrome” ahead of the ‘Dancing on Ice’ semi-finals.
The Vamps bassist – who is partnered by pro ice skater Alexandra Schauman on the ITV show – is in disbelief that he has reached this stage of the competition, as he still has doubts about his skating ability.
He said: “I have imposter syndrome about being this near the end where I don’t think I can do it I think, ‘Why am I there.’ ”
But Connor hasn’t got through to the semis unscathed, admitting he has suffered from a dislocated shoulder, and has required stitches in his chin and leg.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “There’s been a lot. I split my chin open, so I had five stitches in there. I dislocated my shoulder and then I ripped my leg open in three different places and had 14 stitches down there.
“There’s quite a lot of bruising going on.”
Last month, Connor told how he needed stitches when he accidentally cut himself on one of Alexandra’s skates.
The star took to Twitter to let his fans know he was “OK” and that he was “lucky” to still be in the competition following the injury.
The 25-year-old musician wrote: “Guys I’m okay, currently getting my leg stitched up but thank you so so so much for voting me through once again, you guys are actually incredible i’m too lucky honestly. (sic)”
Following the accident, Connor was insistent about not seeing a medic before judging after hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield checked to see if he was OK.
He said: “I don’t want to look at what’s going on under here right now. A blade ran into my leg.”

OHMYGOSSIP — James Lock has “never stopped talking” to Megan Barton Hanson.
The 35-year-old ‘TOWIE’ alum enjoyed a two-month romance with ‘Love Island’ star Megan – who he met on ‘Ex on the Beach’ – last year, and despite fuelling speculation they had reunited when he gifted Megan a boob-shaped cake for her 28th birthday in a hotel room last week.
James – who is known as Lockie – has insisted the pair were “always friends” and he refuses to put a label on their relationship now.
He said: “We never stopped talking since the show. There was a lot of articles saying it was a whirlwind romance, but then they said we’d split up. We’ve always been friends and we’ve always been in contact.
“We clicked very quickly, there was a connection. I don’t connect to everyone, but I’m very sociable, the life and soul of the party – which is pretty much the same with Megan.”
Lockie – who has also been linked to fellow reality stars Yazmin Oukhellou and Ellie Mackenzie – admitted their whirlwind romance came as a surprise to them both, but their new relationship developed after a festive trip to New York.
Speaking to Mirror Online, he added: “It came out of nowhere, we didn’t think we were going to get on as much as we did. It developed when we got home. There was lots of speculation about what we were, but we’re happy not labelling it We’ve just said we’re friends. It’s not like we’re trying to hide anything. Out of respect for each other we don’t need to label it and we don’t see why we have to.”
James – who is set to star as a Hollywood A-lister in upcoming gangster movie ‘The London Game’ – also insisted he took Megan out for her birthday so she could “let her hair down”.
He said: “She wanted to let her hair down [for her birthday]. We’re both strong believers in everything in moderation. We’re not the party girl and guy we used to be – we’re not out every week.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson plays meat pranks on his vegetarian pal Pete Wicks.
The 29-year-old reality star opened up about his bromance with the 33-year-old fitness coach during the launch of Subway’s first VIP pop-up restaurant aboard a yacht in central London.
Sam said: “I‘ve tried to prank him. He’s a vegetarian and I’ve tried to prank him with meat before and he gets angry.
“I put some Peperami in his beer once and it didn’t go down well.
“Pete maintains we’re not friends, but you have to be friends first. I think we’re brothers, and he thinks we’re acquaintances.
“He actually does love me, he just says he doesn’t to maintain his cool image.
“When we speak on the phone, I make him say ‘love you’ at the end and sometimes he does.”
Sam – who is the younger brother of his ‘Made in Chelsea’ co-star Louise Thompson, 31 – also admitted if money was no object he would buy himself a safari park so he could surround himself with big cats.
He added: “I think about this every day, should I do the lottery?,
“If I won more than a million, I’d buy myself a safari park and I’d drive my jeep round and retire there. I’d drink beer and watch the lions.”
Sam was the first celebrity guest at Subway’s VIP pop-up that opens to the public for free on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th March, but tables must be booked in advance.
The floating pop-up restaurant offers diners the chance to experience life on a luxury yacht like a VIP in St Tropez and Cannes.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Brand is to become the new host of ‘Tonight’.
The current ITV News UK Editor will take the reins of the current affairs programme in a presenting role previously filled by Julie Etchingham and Sir Trevor McDonald.
In a statement, Paul said: “To present a show previously fronted by two titans of broadcasting – Julie Etchingham and Sir Trevor McDonald – is a huge honour. Having reported for the Tonight programme in the past, I have already had the pleasure of working with many of the enormously talented team behind Britain’s most-watched weekly current affairs programme.”
The journalist – who is set to make his debut on the programme in April 2022 as Julie continues to focus on presenting ‘ITV News at Ten’ as well as fronting other documentaries for the broadcaster – vowed that when he takes over, the show will continue to “play a vital role” in current events, especially at a time when the word is in “perpetual crisis”.
He added: “I am delighted to be making this a weekly commitment, alongside my role as UK Editor for ITV News. At a time when the world often feels as if it is in a perpetual state of crisis, Tonight will continue to play a vital role in exploring and explaining the events around us.”
Paul started his career as a production journalist at ITV Wales, before becoming a reporter and later covered politics for ‘Good Morning Britain.’
Michael Jermey, Director of News and Current Affairs at ITV, thinks Paul will be a “great asset” to the programme because of of his “natural empathy” with people.
He said: “Paul is an excellent journalist with an impressive track record of finding and reporting exclusive stories. He cares about people and how their lives are affected, for good or ill, by decisions taken by those in authority. Paul’s forensic reporting and his natural empathy will both be great assets for the Tonight programme.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Walliams and Matt Lucas will reunite for a ‘Rock Profile’ skit for Red Nose Day.
The cult sketch show previously aired from 1999 to 2009 and saw the comedy duo play musicians in spoof interviews, and in the new Comic Relief segment the pair are to play the likes of Adele, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Lewis Capaldi and many more.
Matt said: “It’s been really fun giving the ‘Rock Profile’ treatment to a host of stars who weren’t even twinkles in our eyes when we first did the show nearly 25 years ago.”
David added: “It has been a blast working with Matt on ‘Rock Profile’ again. I can’t wait for everyone to see our brand-new characters.”
Jamie Theakston previously played the part of the interviewer in the first two seasons, before Dermot O’Leary took over for the third series.
But Vernon Kay has landed the gig for the upcoming charity skit.
He said: “I have been watching David and Matt’s sketches for as long as I can remember, so I am super excited to get to be part of one myself.
“Thankfully I will be playing myself in Rock Profile, so I’ll be saving David or Matt the embarrassment of attempting my accent!
“To be taking part all in the name of Comic Relief, makes this even better, as the work they do is super important.
“If we can make a few people laugh and raise some money, then we have done our job! I can’t wait to see what David and Matt have in store for me.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Minchin was on a “high state of alert” at all times during her stalking ordeal.
A man who admitted stalking the former ‘BBC Breakfast’ star was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison in December and he was handed an indefinite restraining order, and Louise has now told how it “doesn’t really touch the surface” to say she was “frightened” during the experience.
She said: “It was very clear from the messages that this person knew exactly where we lived and had stood outside our front door.
“To say I was frightened, just doesn’t really touch the surface.
“You are kind of on this high state of alert all the time. You don’t know who they are. So, you don’t know that that person standing next to you isn’t them.”
Louise’s daughter Mia has spoken for the first time about the ordeal, admitting she couldn’t sleep and was in “floods of tears” after seeing a number of messages on her mum’s Instagram account.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Tonight’ programme, she said: “I’m logged into mum’s Instagram account and suddenly loads of messages started coming.
“They were all kind of just really offensive, calling us not very nice names and then they got much more graphic. It was the kind of actions that he wanted to do against me and mum, which got really personal and they weren’t nice to read at all.
“I was kind of terrified, all kind of shaking. I think my heart was beating really fast. I didn’t sleep all night. The entirety of the next day I was in floods of tears.”
Mia also admitted the ordeal has made her more conscious when she is out and about.
She added: “When I’m walking, I’m very conscious of who is behind me, especially not to have my headphones in if it’s dark and there’s no one else around.”
A Freedom of Information inquiry by the ‘Tonight’ programme, which was sent to all 43 police forces across England and Wales, showed 70,385 stalking offences were recorded in 2021, but only 237 Stalking Protection Orders or Interim Orders were issued.
The Home Office have told ITV ‘Tonight’ that rather than bringing in a national register they’re improving current systems “to better identify the risk perpetrators pose, and enabling more effective data sharing between the police and other frontline agencies”.
On Stalking Protection Orders, they said: “Expect all police forces to make full use of them and the Safeguarding Minister has written to Chief Constables whose forces haven’t applied for many of them to make that clear.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness has revealed his heartbreak at seeing his children snubbed by other kids.
The 48-year-old TV star and his wife Christine’s three children – Felicity, six, and twins Leo and Penelope, eight – have all been diagnosed with autism and Paddy admitted he finds it hard to watch how other kids react to them.
Speaking on the ‘Table Talk with Paddy Christine McGuinness’ podcast, Paddy said: “It’s upsetting as a parent when your child goes up to another child in that lovely way and introduces themselves, which is the most normal, nice thing to do ever.
“But most kids will look at that as: ‘What the hell is going on here?’ They don’t understand it. As a parent, it’s heartbreaking.”
Paddy previously revealed that while Christine, 33, who has also been diagnosed with autism, coped with their children’s condition, he struggled at first and eventually started seeing a therapist to help him come to terms with it.
He said: “I got that down that I had to see a therapist and he diagnosed me with clinical depression. I used to think I was the last person in the world who would have depression because I earn a few quid.
“I didn’t instantly go, ‘oh I’m depressed’ because it was a very slow process. It chipped away at me, with all of the things you have to do, things you have to deal with as a parent of children with autism.
“It dawned on me that, that’s it, that’s it forever. There’s no ‘they’ll get better as the years go on.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby broke down in tears while filming her new show.
The bubbly presenter has teamed up with comedian Lee Mack to present ‘Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof’, which sees a number of celebrities embark on challenges which test them physically and mentally, and Holly admitted she found it tough.
Speaking on ‘The One Show’, she explained: “This is not something they get voted off or a popularity contest, they are really challenging their minds and bodies.
“All I can tell you is it was intense for everybody, medics were involved, and I was in tears at many many points throughout it.
“It was kind of life changing, it is amazing, it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
Holly, 41, was granted a three-week leave of absence from ITV’s ‘This Morning’ to film the new BBC show with Mack, 53.
Holly – who took over on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ for Ant McPartlin when he took time off for rehab – flew out to Southern Europe on January 17 to work on the show but returned at weekends to co-present ‘Dancing On Ice’ with Phillip Schofield.
A source previously told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Holly loved ‘I’m a Celeb’ so much it gave her the confidence to strike out on her own and do more mainstream solo TV projects.
“Holly did an excellent job filling in for Ant and was one of the highlights of the show that year.
“She has high career ambitions and is starting the year as she means to go on.
“However, she absolutely loves ‘This Morning’ and her on-screen partnership with Phillip, so isn’t going anywhere long-term. She’s just grateful ITV bosses are giving her the freedom to do her own projects.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Whittaker’s ‘Doctor Who’ regeneration episode will be “massive”.
Executive producer Matt Strevens has revealed that the episode will form part of the BBC’s centenary celebrations later this year and he promised fans that they are in for a treat before Jodie leaves the show.
Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, he said: “When they approached Chris [Chibnall], saying: ‘We’d love you to do one more – we know the production schedule’s really tight, but what do you think about doing a special for the centenary of the BBC?’, it was a no-brainer.’
“”The final story is a massive, feature-length epic – it was huge to shoot – with lots of surprises for fans of all ages. Jodie gets a really good send-off. I think it will push everybody’s buttons.”
And he revealed that current Doctor Who Jodie is excited about passing on the baton to a new actor.
He said: “Jodie’s also very excited about who the next incumbent of the TARDIS is. There’s that great thing, I think, of being able to hand the baton on. That’s lovely for each actor who plays the part – you’re a custodian and, like all of us who make the show, you want to make sure you’ve left it in a good enough place to continue.
“It meant a lot to Jodie to know that she would regenerate – it’s lovely to pass that on.”
