Davide Sanclimenti’s best friend backs different Love Island coupling for him

OHMYGOSSIP — Davide Sanclimenti’s best friend wants him to get together with Paige Thorne or Tasha Ghouri on ‘Love Island’.
The 27-year-old hunk had an explosive row with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – who he has been coupled up with – on Friday’s (17.06.22) show after it emerged she’d shared secret kisses with Jay Younger, and though his pal Fabrizio Gulino initially thought they were a “perfect match”, he hopes he recouples with someone else on Sunday (19.06.22).
Fabrizio told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “At first I thought Davide and Ekin-Su were the perfect match – he loves a fiery girl. I expected Davide not to jump straight in as he’s always been cautious with girls.
“Ekin-Su had the right to kiss Jay, but she should have been clear with Davide and broken up with him as soon as she felt something for Jay.
“Now Davide needs to move on and I hope someone new comes in for him. Paige or Tasha would be an interesting match for Davide.”
Paige, 24, is currently with Jacques O’Neill, 23, while Tasha, 23, is in a couple with Andrew Le Page, 27.
However, Fabrizio believes his friend can charm the women out of their pairings thanks to his “seductive” dance moves and his skills in the kichen.
He said: “Davide’s a good cook. If he’s given the chance he will be delighted to show his skills.
“He also has a very seductive way to dance.”
Whoever Davide ends up with, Fabrizio thinks they will be lucky to have him.
He gushed: “I would say, ‘Save your feelings for someone who appreciates them’.
“I’ve known Davide for years… I know what he’s like. Underneath that sculpted body there’s a lovely, very interesting man.
“Watching him on TV has been incredibly exciting because I put myself in his shoes and I can only imagine what he’s thinking and how he’s feeling right now.
“He’s always been so upfront and direct – he knows what he wants and he’s not shy. With Davide, you know what you’re getting into. I have a lot of respect for him.
“He’s very loyal. If he cares about you, then rest assured he will go out of his way to be there for you.”
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Jorgie Porter was ‘nervous’ about being pregnant again

OHMYGOSSIP — Jorgie Porter was “nervous to get excited” about being pregnant after previously miscarrying quads.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress revealed earlier this month she and fiance Ollie Piotrowski are expecting a baby but she admitted she found her first trimester “a bit scary” because she feared the worst could happen after her sad losses last year.
She said: “At first it was obviously a bit scary. I was nervous to get excited.”
But after going public with a social media video, the 34-year-old beauty now feels more relaxed.
She added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “Now I’m able to talk about being pregnant, it’s a relief. The reaction has been amazing.
“Sometimes when you put a post up, you’re thinking, ‘What are they going to say?’ You worry that they’re going to be nasty. But I haven’t had one single nasty comment.
“A lot of people have thanked me for speaking about what I’ve gone through, too.
“I always think you just have to be honest. The support I’ve had from fans has been simply amazing. It is times like this when you love social media.”
And the blonde beauty is thankful her castmates at ‘Hollyoaks’ have been supportive too.
She added: “It has been unreal. They just care so much. You can tell they are genuinely so lovely.”
Last week, Jorgie joked it was a pleasant change being able to relax on the red carpet for once when she showed off her bump for the first time at the British Soap Awards.
She quipped: “It’s a bit weird not having to suck in my tummy. Normally I’ll miss out on having a club sandwich. Now I’m pregnant I can have two!”

Al Pacino wants Timothee Chalamet to star in Heat 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Al Pacino wants Timothee Chalamet to star in ‘Heat 2’.
The veteran actor portrayed obsessive cop Lieutenant Vincent Hanna, who was on the hunt for master criminal Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) and his gang in writer-and-director Michael Mann’s thriller, and now the filmmaker has written a follow-up novel set before and after the events of the 1995 thriller, the 82-year-old star thinks the ‘Call Me By Your Name’ actor would be perfect for the lead if it goes on to be made into a film.
Asked who he’d like to see play the younger Vincent, he said: “Timothée Chalamet. I mean, he’s a wonderful actor. Great looks.”
Pacino and De Niro, along with producer Art Linson, attended a retrospective screening of ‘Heat’ at the Union Palace Theatre in New York on Friday (17.06.22), but were without the director because he had tested positive for COVID-19.
However, Mann had a video message for guests before the screening.
He said: “I’m incredibly disappointed not to be with all of you this evening. At the Broadway Deli in 1994, I told Art, let’s produce my screenplay and find a director, because maybe I wouldn’t direct it. He told me I was crazy — so this is all his fault.
“I tested positive for Covid two days ago. I am feeling great and will be out of isolation in a few days. I was so anticipating sitting with good friends, family and fans of the film to experience watching the 4k ultra high-def restoration of ‘Heat’.”
Those in attendance received a copy of ‘Heat 2’, a novel Mann has written with Meg Gardiner that is due for release in August.
The director previously said of ‘Heat 2’: “It’s been my intention for a long time to do the further stories of ‘Heat’.
“There was always a rich history or back-story about the events in these people’s lives before 1995 in ‘Heat’ and projection of where their lives would take them after.”

Colin Trevorrow can’t watch any of his films.

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Trevorrow can’t watch any of his films.
The ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ helmer has admitted it’s impossible to feel “truly satisfied” with his own movies so he avoids watching them back because, otherwise, he would be picking out the parts he wishes he could go back and change.
Speaking to Collider in a joint interview with the stars of the film – including Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas Howard – he said: “I can’t watch any of the movies … change everything all of the time.
“If you have ever directed anything it’s very hard to be truly satisfied with your own work but you’re constantly trying to do something that feels absolutely the most honourable to the source material and yet truly new and different and fresh and bold, all at the same time.”
Meanwhile, Trevorrow previously admitted missing out on directing ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ was “traumatic”.
The 45-year-old director was attached to helm the final instalment of the sequel trilogy in the iconic sci-fi series, but stepped back from the project over creative differences and now accepts that there will be “heartbreaks” in the film industry.
Trevorrow explained: “I have been very fortunate in the films that I’ve directed.
“The path that I wanted to follow and the path that everyone involved wanted to follow was the same. It’s totally possible for people to see two totally different paths through the woods.”
He added: “Obviously, as you can imagine with all of these things, it can get to the point of being traumatic when there’s something that you care about that much in it.
“But that’s one of the things you accept when you take on any role in film, especially when you become a storyteller – that there are going to be heartbreaks. There is going to be crushing disappointments, and then there’s going to be victories.
“Hopefully, they’ll balance out in the end.”

At the end of the recoupling, Remi was left single and he was dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa.
After his fate was sealed, Remi said: “Love Island 2022! My sight is set on finding love … I’ve had a great time.”

She said: “I am definitely going to go in there and step on a few toes, and I am more than happy to go after what I want.

Gemma Owen and Luca Bish have furious bust-up after she mistakenly called him by name of her ex-boyfriend Jacques O’Neill

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Owen and Luca Bish had a furious bust-up on ‘Love Island’ after she mistakenly called him by the name of her ex-boyfriend.
The dressage rider – daughter of 42-year-old ex-footballer Michael Owen – and fishmonger Luca, 23, are seen going head-to-head in Tuesday night’s (14.06.22) episode of the show.
Gemma suffers a slip of the tongue as she accidentally calls Luca by ex Jacques O’Neill’s name, after her former lover entered the villa as a bombshell contestant on Sunday. (12.06.22)
The rugby player, 23, is also seen sitting directly next to the pair while the other Islanders comment on the awkward situation.
Amber laughs: “Did you just call him something else?”
Luca says: “I know what she said,” prompting Amber to respond: “Jacques?”
Dami joins the conversation, adding: “Oh my God, there is no way that happened, there is no way that happened!”
Having just coupled up with Jacques, Paige says: “Easy mistake to make, hun.”
Not long after Luca leaves the kitchen and walks into the garden, Gemma asks her castmates: “That was bad wasn’t it?”
Paige answers: “That was bad, I am not gonna lie, he was stood there, you had your guy rubbing your shoulders, he’s stood there and you’re like… ‘Oh Jacques’.”
Gemma then pulls Luca for a chat to discuss what just happened, leaving viewers wondering if he will be able to forgive and forget.
A preview of the awkward row on Monday night (13.06.22) showed Gemma and Luca fighting after they had their first kiss.
Gemma was seen reaching up and quickly kissing Luca on the lips, before a clip showed them embroiled in a blazing row.

Elsa Pataky worked ‘really hard’ on Interceptor’ fitness

OHMYGOSSIP — Elsa Pataky “worked really hard” to get in shape for ‘Interceptor’.
The 45-year-old actress has always been “really into fitness” but has upped her workouts in recent months after pushing herself hard to be in peak physical condition for her role as soldier JJ Collins in the new action film.
She said: “I’ve been always been really into fitness. I like doing gym or yoga, either the gym or just at home, whatever I have.
“ I’ve been doing more lately, because I worked really hard for the movie to just get really strong. I really felt all the changes in my body. The weights really tone your muscles and your body to keep everything strong.”
Elsa admitted getting older has taken a toll on her body.
She told Australia’s Marie Claire magazine: “With age, everything feels like [shrugs]… it’s gravity. Turn that gravity off!”
And the Spanish star knows hitting the gym will always make her feel good.
She added: “I love the endorphins [you get from working out]. Even when I’m in a low energy, working out gives me that power to just go through the day. It makes me feel really good. It makes me happy. I do that at least three times a week if I can. It’s just finding the moments, even though sometimes we get busy, it’s just like, ‘Okay, just half an hour.’ “
Elsa was able to turn to her husband, ‘Thor’ actor Chris Hemsworth – the father of her kids India, nine, and seven-year-old twins Sasha and Tristan – for tips and advice on building muscle for the role.
She previously said: “He gives good tips, especially about nutrition.
“He was shooting the latest ‘Thor’ movie while I was doing ‘Interceptor’, so we took turns training and looking after the kids.”

Maura Higgins’ new man

OHMYGOSSIP — Maura Higgins has a new boyfriend.
The ‘Love Island’ star is reportedly smitten with footballer Connor Wickham, 29 – who plays for Milton Keynes Dons – after the pair were introduced by friends.
A source told The Sun: “Maura keeps her cards close to her chest but she seems totally mad on Connor.
“A good friend of hers put them in touch and they have been talking for some time.
“Connor and Maura went to Paris last month and it ended up being so romantic.
“They made it official then and have now gone off on their first holiday together as a couple.”
Maura, 31, has had a number of high-profile relationships previously.
She dated her ‘Love Island’ co-star Curtis Pritchard after leaving the villa and later struck up a romance with Chris Taylor.
Her last serious relationship was with ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Giovanni Pernice in 2021 but he reportedly ended the romance in order to focus on the dance show.
Maura did not directly address the split, but when asked for advice by a fan on Instagram about break-ups, she wrote: “Allow yourself to grieve! Spend time with the people you love always remind yourself that everything happens for a reason!! The people who are meant to be in your life will be in your life!!”
Giovanni said: “Great relationships with great people can come to a natural end. This has been the case for me recently. There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation.”

Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer’s ’emotional’ reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Filming Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ reunion was “an emotional day on set”.
The pair previously worked together on the 1986 original and bringing their characters – Tom’s Maverick and Val’s Iceman – back together for the sequel, was a huge moment for director Joseph Kosinski.
Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Behind the Screen’ podcast, Kosinski said: “To see how much respect they had for each other as actors, and to see a friendship that has evolved over 36 years – it really mirrored what you see on screen in the scene. They are just two actors at the top of their game doing this really beautiful scene for the film that’s so important. It was a very emotional day on set.”
Val has previously opened up about the damage to his voice after a tracheostomy in 2014 during his throat cancer battle and Kosinski revealed how they overcame those issues.
He said: “Val and Tom performed the scene, and then we enhanced Val’s voice by blending it with another one, mostly for clarity, more than anything else.”
And, after previously working with Cruise on 2013’s ‘Oblivion’, Kosinski jumped at the chance to collaborate with him again.
He said: “He’s not just an actor in your film. Obviously he’s a producer on this, but it’s really a partnership. He’s involved with every aspect of the filmmaking and that collaboration is what he really feeds off of and enjoys. … He’s just got this energy that is infectious.”

Love Island’s Liam Llewellyn comforted by dad after shock exit

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Llewellyn’s father flew to Majorca to comfort his son after his dramatic ‘Love Island’ exit.
Viewers on Friday’s (10.06.22) show saw Liam, 22, explain to his fellow contestants why he was leaving the villa and Liam’s dad David got straight on a flight to provide support for his son.
A source told The Sun: “Liam’s confidence was totally knocked when he lost Gemma [Owen] so when he then also didn’t manage to catch Ekin-Su [Cülcüloğlu] or Afia’s [Tonkmor] eye he started to totally overthink everything he did.
“He just began to worry about everything and then felt guilty that he wasn’t enjoying the whole experience like he felt he was meant to, so called it quits.
“At this point Liam feels really upset. His dad David flew straight out to Majorca to be with him.”
Liam previously admitted his greatest fear on the show was being rejected.
He said: “Something I am most nervous about is probably the feeling of not being wanted , in a recoupling or something, not being picked.
“Everyone wants to be wanted, and wants to be picked.
“So it’s the feeling of not being picked that is a nerve-wracking thought for me.
“It puts you in a vulnerable position and that’s in front of the whole world.
“I think that’s a position I don’t think anyone would want to find themselves in.”

David Arquette: We need to keep the Scream franchise alive

OHMYGOSSIP — David Arquette wants to keep the ‘Scream’ franchise “alive”.
The 50-year-old actor returned to the role of Deputy Dewey Riley in the comedy horror franchise earlier this year and was “thrilled” to see the fifth installment was received really well.
He said: “I was really thrilled it was really great and they did a wonderful job, and I was really excited for the fans to see it. Keep this franchise alive I think, Ghostface is such an exciting character.”
Meanwhile, David – who stars in the franchise alongside his ex-wife Courteney Cox – has also taken part in video game ‘The Quarry’, which he thinks is similar to the ‘Scream’ movies.
He told HeyUGuys: “I was really thrilled that the fans loved it and I’m excited for this video game. It has similar qualities to ‘Scream,’. As this sort of horror element that really understands the fans that are playing it and they sort of plays to them, so hopefully we can create more sort of or I can be part of projects like that because if you go to horror conventions, meeting the fans is one of my favourite things.
David also went on to pay tribute to the fans of the ‘Scream’ movies, noting that the new game can be an “escape” for them and feels honoured to be able to entertain people as a job.
“You understand how much you have been a part of their life as far as ‘Scream’ goes or if somebody fell in love with this game, it provides them entertainment, it’s an escape for them they can have fun with it. That’s sort of my job in a way to help entertain people I feel honoured to be able to do that.”
He added: “I love when they know their audience, you know. ‘The Quarry’ knows its audience they are really creating this world that horror fans or just cinema fan, in general, can have fun with whilst referencing Evil Dead or whatever.”

Adam Woodyatt didn’t agree with EastEnders’ bosses

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Woodyatt has no plans to return to ‘EastEnders’ after becoming unhappy with the direction his character was taking.
The 53-year-old actor quit the BBC soap last year after playing businessman Ian Beale since the show’s first episode in 1985 and while he loved the character, he didn’t agree with all of the decisions by show bosses, including having Ian split with his wife Jane Beale (Laurie Brett).
He told the ‘White Wine Question Time’ podcast: “I’m quite happy doing what I’m doing. I haven’t got a clue what’s going to happen.
“The character evolved. If you think back in the 80s, he was a spotty, teenage kid. He was getting bullied at school, his dad wanted him to do boxing.
“It’s been a very, very long journey. But don’t get me wrong, I don’t always think that some of the changes were right.
“Maybe they should’ve chosen other directions to go but they weren’t my decisions. They were stuff the bosses chose.
“Did it make Ian unpopular? Yeah, at times. He was quite forthright and quite rude to everyone, even people he loved.
“He claimed to be a great father but actually he wasn’t. He was an absolute narcissist. Some would say a sociopath. But he was very misunderstood. Mostly, his heart was in the right place. He just got things wrong.”
And Adam was particularly unhappy with how Ian changed following his split from Jane.
He said: “It made him very unpopular because all the stuff he’d learnt over the years he forgot and reverted to a previous version of him. Which is why the storyline ended up where it was, because there was nowhere else to go.”

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s Strictly wish

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, want to host ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ at Buckingham Palace.
The royals are huge fans of the dance show and are in talks with the BBC about airing a live episode of ‘Strictly’ from the palace to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ““Charles and Camilla are very much driving this and the BBC couldn’t quite believe what was being offered.
“‘Strictly’ at Buckingham Palace is just TV dreamland. It should be a wonderful spectacle.”
And, Charles’ mother Queen Elizabeth, has reportedly given her approval for the quarter or semi-finals to be broadcast from the palace.
Charles, 73, and Camilla, 74, are even considering taking to the dancefloor for the special episode.
Another source added: “The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are, like millions of others, huge fans of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – and so is the Queen.
“So there is a real desire and energy to make this happen. Holding the show at Buckingham Palace’s ballroom would be a wonderful treat as we celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year. A lot of work needs to be done to get it over the line.
“But there is a commitment and sense of goodwill to achieve what would be an unmissable occasion to cap a very special year for the Queen and the nation.
“Camilla and Charles would be delighted and honoured to host ‘Strictly’. The ballroom already has a gallery where musicians play during state banquets. It could be perfect for Dave Arch and his live band.”
