Gemma Atkinson rules out the idea of having any more kids: ‘I’m going nowhere near Gorka again!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Atkison is “definitely not” having any more children.
The 38-year-old actress already has four-year-old daughter Mia and son Thiago, two, with fiancé Gorka Marquez, 33, and has ruled out the idea of having any more as she joked that she is going “nowhere near” ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional again just has to “thrust his hips” at her and she ends up pregnant.
Speaking on The Hits Radio Breakfast Show, she said: “Mia has started school and she’s just done her first full week this week. I prepared myself, thinking she’s going to cry cos we’re really close, we’re like best mates, but she walked in went ‘bye’ and didn’t even look back. I didn’t get a look back!
“Everyone said your second in some ways is a lot easier and I get that now – they just slot in your routine. I mean there’s some days when I’ve not washed my hair for days and it’s dry shampoo and then there’s days when Thiago’s doing the school run in his baby gro and hasn’t been changed yet, but it’s organised chaos and it’s fun.
“But there’s definitely no more. Two is the magic number in our house I’m not going anywhere near him [Gorka] again. I don’t dare – he thrusts his hips from across the room and I’m pregnant so no more!”
Gorka has been paired up with radio presenter Nikita Kanda on the new series of the BBC dance competition but former ‘Hollyoaks’ Gemma proclaimed her only concern when it comes to her partner dancing with another woman is where they are based so he can be back in time to do the school run.
She said: “Everyone asks if I’m bothered who he has as a partner but my first question is where are they based?! He could be doing the rhumba with Miss World for all I care as long as she’s local to the house and he can get back in time for the school run!
“Alas Nikita is lovely but she’s based in London so it’s tiring and it’s a lot of juggling but I love the fact that he gets to be doing what he wants to do and he loves it. And on a Saturday night now Mia gets to watch Strictly which makes it all worthwhile seeing her little face when she sees him in his pink glittery top. She loves it!’”
Meanwhile, Gemma has now launched ‘The Overshare with Gemma Atkinson’ podcast and described her new venture as a “safe space” where guests can share their personal stories.
She said: “Working on the radio when you have a guest on or a caller you’re limited to what you can say and what you can ask, you’re up against the time and you can’t be talking about stuff in detail so with the podcast we can ask people anything and they can overshare with us and vice versa.
“It’s kind of like a safe space and we’ve got episodes that are quite serious and heavy, dealing with grief and things like that and we’ve also got some episodes that are a bit more out there like your worst first date and some of those stories are horrendous!”

Chris Evans shares major health update after announcing cancer diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Evans is cancer-free.
The 57-year-old radio presenter announced that he was suffering from skin cancer in August but underwent his last treatment for the disease on in the middle of September and has now revealed that he is cancer-free just eight weeks on his initial diagnosis.
Speaking on his Virgin Radio show, he said: “I have forwarded the pathology report. It is excellent news. There is no residual disease. You have the all-clear. And so, at quarter-to-four last Thursday, I had cancer and at quarter-to-five, I didn’t. And I just found that out last night. And that’s because time is your biggest weapon against it, if you have an abundance of it, and its biggest weapon against you if you have a lack of it.”
The TV star went on to urge listeners to get themselves checked early as he reminded them that his journey with the disease has been such a quick turnaround even though he was once a man who was hesitant to go to the doctors in the first place.
He said: “If you’re worried about anything, just bear in mind the fact that eight weeks ago I was diagnosed with cancer and now I don’t have it at all. And that’s why you just need to attend to things. And it’s really tough, because for years I was the guy who wouldn’t go anywhere near that. But you know, times have changed, thank God.”
Chris previously explained to his listeners because he had caught the disease early, it was “completely treatable.”
He said: “We need to discuss what’s going on with this issue.
“It is a melanoma. There’s this phrase called a malignant melanoma – you know once you get something, and you find out all about it – that is a redundant phrase because if it is a melanoma it is malignant. But it’s been caught so early, just so you know, that it should be completely treatable. [Treatment] will happen on the 14th of September.”

Nadiya Hussain might restart watching The Great British Bake Off for Alison Hammond

OHMYGOSSIP — Nadiya Hussain might start watching ‘The Great British Bake Off’ again because of Alison Hammond.
The ‘Nadiya Bakes’ star snagged victory on the beloved baking competition during its original run on BBC and hasn’t really watched since her telly career soared to stratospheric sights but might tune into the show – which has since moved to Channel 4 and swapped out Mary Berry, 88, for Prue Leith, 83, while Paul Hollywood, 57, remained – now that the ‘This Morning’ presenter, 48, has replaced Matt Lucas, 49, hosting the show alongside Noel Fielding, 50.
The 38-year-old TV star told Metro.co.uk: “I don’t watch now but I may have a sneak peek this year because Alison Hammond is on it.
“‘I think she’s an amazing presenter. She’s got a lot to give, and she will bring something very new and fresh to the show. It’ll be lovely to watch that.”
Nadiya – who has sons Musa, 17, Dawud, 15 and daughter Maryam, 13, with her husband Abdal, 41 – “might” be up for helping Alison present the sweet treatment contest.
She said: “If there was an offer maybe I’d do it. It depends where I am in my life, if it’s something I want to do, or not want to do. I’m not saying no, but I’m not saying yes.
“I would probably have to be a judge as I’d be an awful host because I would want to taste everything and get involved in the assessing. I would struggle not to.
I am who I am because of everything that happened after Bake Off. Apart from when I’m really anxious, I’m generally quite confident.
“If I was participating now, I would be a lot louder.”
The ‘Simple Spice’ star- who endeared audiences to hear after her viral winning speech about never doubting herself and her abilities ever again – admitted seeing it again took her “right back” to 2015 win.
“It takes me right back to that moment. I get a trembling lip.
Anybody who watched my show from start to finish come on that journey with me, and it’s something that I think lots of people resonated with. I think lots of people know it was less about baking and more about me as a person.”

Dame Arlene Phillips ‘couldn’t stand” some of her Strictly Come Dancing colleagues

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Arlene Phillips “couldn’t stand” some of her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ co-stars.
The 80-year-old choreographer was a judge on the star-studded BBC One Latin and ballroom competition with the late Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, 67, and Craig Revel-Horwood, 58, from its 2004 debut until she was replaced by former winner and pop star Alesha Dixon, 44, in 2008 and admitted that not getting on with everyone was just “life” as the latest series gets underway.
Speaking on ‘BBC Breakfast, she said: “Yeah, you form a bond with some, you actually can’t stand others but you know that’s life but you do form a bond and obviously I miss being a part of that crazy, crazy life. ”
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here’ contestant made the quip while talking about the “beautiful” tribute to Len – who recently passed away aged 78 after being diagnosed with bone cancer – on the show’s debut episode, where the only remaining original judge is Craig who now sits with Motsi Mabuse, 42, Shirley Ballas, 63, and Anton Du Beke, 57.
She said: “Oh my gosh, I thought the tribute was beautiful and I’m also so pleased that on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ in America, they’re going to do a massive tribute to him too.
“It was such a loss, and it was so sudden for many of us because only a few people knew, Bruno knew, but few people actually knew. It was a real shock, particularly as Len and I, we were there at the pilot.
“We made the pilot and it was wonderfully, brilliantly chaotic, and Len and I spent many hours trying to form what the show would be and we were the bodies that were lucky enough to do that.”

Les Dennis believes in reincarnation – and wants to come back as a member of his own family

OHMYGOSSIP — Les Dennis wants to be reincarnated – as a member of his own family.
The former ‘Family Fortunes’ presenter believes people “come back” after they die and though he still wants to be tied to his loved ones if he does return from the dead, he’d want to wait “a few generations” so he isn’t too closely connected to his own children.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I believe that we come back in some way in our families. I don’t want to come back too soon, because I don’t want my daughter to be my mum. But I’d like to come back a few generations from now, in my own family… in the clan.”
The 69-year-old star – who has Philip, 43, with first wife Lynne, and Eleanor, 15, and son Thomas, 12, with his third wife Claire – joked he is “obsessed” with himself so if he came back as another member of his family, he could ask questions about himself.
He explained: “I am obsessed with myself. I want to be able to look up and ask my kids, ‘What was I like? What was your grandad like?’ I want to hear about me.”
Asked if he’s bothered how he returns, he added: “I don’t know… binary or non-binary… girl, boy, I don’t mind. Just a member of the family.”
When Les was born, his family were convinced he was his late brother – who died as a baby – reincarnated.
He said: “My brother had died not long before I was born. He was eight months old. Died of pneumonia. When I was born, everyone said, ‘Winnie, you have got him back’. I had to be the good boy for my mum because I was living up to this image.”
Meanwhile, the former ‘Coronation Street’ star revealed his wife “cried” when he told her he’d signed up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
He said: “I was in the mix for Strictly, and then I heard from my agent I’d got it, and I called my wife and she cried – but in a good way. She didn’t cry going, ‘Don’t do it!’”
“The last few years, I’ve had challenges just come out of nowhere, like I did my first opera two years ago at the RSC, with no training. So this is such a massive opportunity as I approach 70. I thought yeah, why not?”

Zac Efron’s The Iron Claw lands strike exemption

OHMYGOSSIP — Zac Efron’s ‘The Iron Claw’ has been granted an exemption so the cast can promote the movie during the ongoing Hollywood strikes.
‘The Paperboy’ star appears in the film alongside ‘The Bear’ actor Jeremy Allen White playing real life wrestlers Kevin and Kerry Von Erich and it’s due for release in December – and now it’s emerged the film has been granted an interim agreement from the actors union SAG-AFTRA so the stars can continue with publicity commitments.
As well as being able to promote the movie at a premiere and give interviews, the cast will also be allowed to attend awards shows.
The movie also includes Harris Dickinson, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany, Maura Tierney and Lily James and tells the story of the pair of WWE Hall of Famers who came from a family of professional wrestlers led by patriarch Fritz Von Erich, with five of his six sons all following him into the sport.
The brothers – including David, Mike and Kris – rose to fame throughout the 1980s but their story was marred by personal tragedies which came to be known as the Von Erich curse.
It has been written and directed Sean Durkin, best known for 2011 movie ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’, and is due to hit cinemas on December 22.
Jeremy Allen White previously revealed he had to work hard to bulk up for his role as Kerry Von Erich, telling Esquire magazine: “You’re trying to consume as much as you possibly can, and, to be honest, you don’t feel great. I was training as well, but, I don’t know, trying to get that big, it’s no way to live.
“In the morning, I would have waffles, almond butter,” he said. “In the middle of the day, I was eating turkey patties and avocado all the time. It’s really just gross.”
He added of his co-star Zac: “Zac’s a maniac. He’s so focused and knowledgeable on training, diet, all that. In terms of a physical transformation, I think he kind of blew us all out of the water. He looks really amazing in this thing.”

Guillermo del Toro and David S Goyer had plans for a ‘really cool’ Star Wars film

OHMYGOSSIP — Guillermo del Toro almost directed a “really cool” ‘Star Wars’ film.
The ‘Nightmare Alley’ filmmaker was set to work with ‘The Dark Knight’ screenwriter David S. Goyer on a movie in the sci-fi franchise but the project never went ahead due to “a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff going on” at the time.
Asked which major franchise he’d like to be involved with, David revealed on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast: “I wrote an unproduced ‘Star Wars’ movie that Guillermo del Toro was going to direct… That was about four years ago.
“There was just a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff going on at Lucasfilm at the time, but it’s a cool script… There’s a lot of cool artwork from it that was produced.”
And later in the interview, the writer revealed he had written a separate unproduced scriptment for an “origins of the Jedi movie”, which would have been set 25,000 years before the first ‘Star Wars’ movie.
He added: “Dabbling in ‘Star Wars’ would have been fun.”
‘Pinnochio’ filmmaker Guillermo later shared a clip from the interview and clarified the project was discussed “many, MANY moons ago”.
He wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “True. Can’t say much. Maybe two letters “J” and “BB” is that three letters?
“BTW This is MANY, MANY moons ago… about 6 years or so…(sic)”
The 58-year-old director previously revealed he had turned down the chance to direct ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’ because he was “busy enough”, with J.J. Abrams going on to helm the 2015 movie.
Speaking in 2013, Guillermo told IndieWire:”We got one phone call to my agent saying, ‘Is Guillermo interested?’ And basically I have so much stuff already of my own, and I’m pursuing stuff that I’m generating already…
“It was just a phone call, it didn’t go past that, it was very nice to be asked, but believe it or not, I’m busy enough.”

Strictly’s Amy Dowden weeps as she shaves head in cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Dowden broke down in tears as she shaved her hair off during her battle with breast cancer.
The 33-year-old Strictly Come Dancing’ star was diagnosed with the disease in May and she has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment which has caused her hair to fall out in clumps – so she took the brave step of cutting the rest of it off and she brought in her friends and family to help her.
A video posted on her Instagram page shows her loved ones taking turned to snip of locks of her hair before the rest is shaved off, and Amy insisted it was time to go. She explained: “Taking control – the hardest step so far. I tried my best to save it. I know it’s only hair but these past few months I’ve had what feels like so much taken away from me that has made me not feel like Amy. I’m missing every possible aspect of dancing. I just wanted to keep my identity with my hair and I tried telling myself it wouldn’t go. But I would dread the pain of waking up to the shredding everyday.”
She went on: “I’ve not been able to take control of this journey so far, but as you can see with some of my loved ones I took the courage and CONTROL. It’s going to take some time to get use to and learn to love and embrace but, I’m now focussing-not on the hair I’m losing but the hair I’m going to get back and the happy dancing, tea lover who talks way to fast whilst rolling every rrrrr who is still there inside with or without hair!”
Amy – who has now reached the half-way point in her chemotherapy treatment – added: “Since taking control, I feel I can now see the finish line. This for me was a hurdle I couldn’t even bring myself to think or speak about. I’ve done it and I’ve also crossed the half way chemo line!
I’m feeling empowered and positive! To everyone on their own journey, whatever that maybe, I’m sending love, power, strength and courage. I found my courage for this step and I’m proud … (There are some fun before and after vids/reels coming, but I wanted to share the truth and hopefully help others, and bring normality to a beautiful bald head).”
It comes after Amy admitted she was having “meltdowns” over her hair loss. In a previous post on Instagram, she told her followers: “So many messages asking me how I’m coping with the hair loss and I’m not gonna lie, it is really hard “I think I cry less now. To begin with, it was every day, but now I have meltdowns when I wash my hair once a week. For the last two weeks now, I haven’t brushed my hair, and that has definitely helped. “Since I came out of hospital with the blood clots, I stopped brushing it myself because I was just getting distraught seeing how much was falling out.”

‘It was an incredibly fraught experience’: David S. Goyer on making the troubled Blade: Trinity

OHMYGOSSIP — David S. Goyer was “very depressed” after making ‘Blade: Trinity’.
The 57-year-old filmmaker helmed the troubled 2004 superhero movie – where it was alleged that lead star Wesley Snipes refused to come out of his trailer and communicate with cast and crew – and has given an insight into the traumatic experience of making the film that was met with poor reviews from critics.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, David said: “It was an incredibly fraught experience, it was personally very difficult. I was very depressed afterwards.”
The ‘Man of Steel’ writer did praise Wesley as “one of the greatest actors of the current generation” and felt that his tax troubles played a part in his conduct on set.
Goyer said: “Despite all of that I still think Wesley is one of the greatest actors of the current generation and it’s a tragedy that he’s not acting as much as – I mean the guy is brilliant but he was going through a lot of trouble at the time.
“All that tax stuff was happening right as we started and in fact on our first day of filming there was this whole kerfuffle because the IRS had withheld a bunch of his money and this was all going on in the background and it was… that’s kind of all I’ll say about it for now but it was a mess.”
Goyer – who had written the screenplays for the previous two ‘Blade’ movies – previously described the third picture as a “tortured production”.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I don’t think anyone involved in that film had a good experience on that film, certainly I didn’t. I don’t think anybody involved with that film is happy with the results. It was a very tortured production.”

‘I always want to make one pretty quickly’: Robert Rodriguez plans Spy Kids: Armageddon sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Rodriguez already wants to make a sequel to ‘Spy Kids: Armageddon’.
The 55-year-old director has helmed the fifth movie in the popular franchise that has been entertaining audiences for over 20 years and has plans to make another flick –although he is constrained by the amount of time that the younger cast members are available for filming.
Robert told Collider: “I always want to make one pretty quickly, but you really can’t film them until the summertime because the kids have to do schooling no matter what, but they have more school that age during the non-summer break.
“You would only get them for an hour or two on set. You get them for about four or five hours on summer break, so it’s a little easier to film them. That would be great.”
The ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ director added: “The first ‘Spy Kids’ series we had a movie in the theatre every year for three years straight for ‘Spy Kids’ 1, 2, and 3. They were consecutive.”
Robert co-wrote the script for the film with his son Racer Rodriguez and says that family is at the heart of the series.
He said: “Over the years, on the other ‘Spy Kids’ films, my siblings worked on them. So it was always a family franchise. It’s the only film series in existence that’s actually made by a family for other families, and we wanted to keep that going.
“My kids, though, they started off doing stunts and acting in the first films because they were little. Now they’re the age I was when I made ‘Mariachi’ and ‘Desperado’.
“One’s a composer, one’s a co-writer, one designs the video game within it, one sings the end titles and designs the emojis on the thought bubble, (and) one co-edits.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lesley Joseph feels as though she was young when she competed on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ now that Angela Rippon is taking to the dancefloor.
The ‘Birds of a Feather’ star was 70 when she competed on the BBC One ballroom show and she has got nothing but admiration for the former news reader for taking part at the ripe age of 78.
Lesley says Angela – who hosted ‘Come Dancing’, the programme that gave birth to ‘Strictly’ – is going to surprise the judges, Anton Du Beke, 57, Shirley Ballas, 63, Motsi Mabuse, 42, and Craig Revel Horwood, 57, and viewers at home with her flexibility.

Al Murray believes humans are for the ‘chop’ when it comes to artificial intelligence

OHMYGOSSIP — Al Murray says his next stand-up show will be about the way artificial intelligence is going to replace humans.
The 55-year-old comedian is taking his know-it-all persona on tour in 2024 and Murray says that a big focus will be on the rise of AI and who is going to be for the chop as technology advances.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “AI is going to be the big thing in the next tour. There’s going to be a lot of AI chat, basically who is going to be replaced. I’ll do my crowd work and it’s going to be, ‘You’re for the chop mate.’ I’ll be working my way through who AI is going to spare.“
Murray is confident his profession as a comic will survive the advancements in technology because AI has no sense of humour, and also the type of jobs that regularly used to feature in vintage adult movies, such as plumbers and delivery drivers.
He added: “In the end we’re going to need flesh and blood comedians.
“My conclusion is essentially that any job like plumber, electrician, pizza delivery boy, all those sort of jobs that are essentially jobs in 1970s porn films will remain safe from AI. That’s the Pub Landlord bar.
“Those are the things that are safe from AI in Pub Landlord logic. Accountants don’t turn up in porn films.”
