Joey Essex buys Stephanie Pratt a puppy

OHMYGOSSIP — Joey Essex has bought Stephanie Pratt a puppy.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star refused to divulge whether him and the blonde bombshell are now an official item but, despite his silence, proved that he’s very serious about her after he let slip that he has given her a fluffy friend.
The reality TV hunk couldn’t stop squirming on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (08.09.16) when hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby grilled him and Stephanie on their romance.
He said: “Well, we have been on a date … I have bought her a puppy. It is a little puppy called Charlie. I don’t know [why I did it] I just thought I’d buy her one. We do go on a date.”
The giddy pair sparked rumours they were dating three months ago after they were spotted getting cosy at a party in London.
A source said at the time: “At one point they crept away to the back of the bar’s terrace together and were being very tactful. He was telling everyone how much he fancies her and was following her around like a puppy.”
The stars initially hit it off while filming the new E4 show ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and have been in contact ever since.
The insider said: “They started chatting as a result of the show and have got quite flirty. They’ve been in constant contact by text ever since.”
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old beauty – who found fame on the US TV show ‘The Hills’ – is no stranger to English men as she previously dated Spencer Matthews before she was dumped in 2013 because the heartthrob felt “trapped” after she moved into his lavish home in Chelsea, London.

Ross Kemp to leave EastEnders… again?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Kemp thinks his days on ‘EastEnders’ could be over.
The 52-year-old actor – who reprised his role as bad boy Grant Mitchell in the BBC One Soap earlier this year – has admitted that he thinks the producers of the show are “done with him” now and he doesn’t think he’ll return.
He said: “I think they [the bosses] are done with me. When they invited me back, it was under an old producer – they’ve not mentioned to me that they want me to go back again.”
However, the legendary star – who has been on the show on and off for 26 years – isn’t too bothered if bosses have pulled the plug on him as doesn’t see himself playing Grant forever.
He told Digital Spy: “It was in the back of my mind that when I went back the second time, everyone said I’d suddenly become some kind of worthy individual, so I went back to try to play him from the old psychopathic Mitchell that he was and hopefully that will entertain. But it’s not long haul for me.”
And while he’d love to continue acting he wouldn’t want to take on anything that gets in the way of his real life documentary projects.
The ‘Ross Kemp: The Fight Against ISIS’ producer said: “If someone offered me a lovely part in a nice drama, I’d do it without a shadow of a doubt. As long as it didn’t interrupt my documentary work.”

Keith Lemon: Katie Price was 'worst' guest on Celebrity Juice

OHMYGOSSIP — Keith Lemon thinks Katie Price was the “worst guest” he’s ever had on his hit show ‘Celebrity Juice’.
The 43-year-old comedian – who is played by Leigh Francis – believes the loud-mouth former glamour model let him down when she was invited on the panel show in 2008 because she refused to let loose with her lips and was fed up of him mocking her on screen in front of the nation.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “She was so quiet. She was like, ‘Go on then, keeping taking the p**s out of me’ – but we were only having a laugh. I’m not saying she was horrible but we want people on the show to have fun!”
However, the flame-haired funnyman is desperate to get the 38-year-old star back on the panel after watching her let rip with her opinions on lunchtime show ‘Loose Women’.
He said: “She’s definitely not quiet on there [‘Loose Women’], is she? Katie was on ‘Celebrity Juice’ ages ago but I think she’s more relaxed now. She’s let her guard down.
“I enjoy watching her on ‘Loose Women’ so it would be nice if she could come back… and hopefully be a little more fun!”
‘Celebrity Juice’ is set to hit screens on Thursday (08.09.16) night but Keith doesn’t know who producers have got lined-up as guests for the forthcoming series.
He said: “I’m only messing around when I joke with people. I’m not vindictive.
“They tend to give as good as they get so I don’t think anybody would ever walk off of my show. It’s all in jest.”

Danny Dyer's mother returned from wedding to find house on fire

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer’s mother returned from his wedding to find her house on fire.
Christina Dyer got back home after the ‘EastEnders’ star’s nuptials in Hampshire last weekend to find 21 fire fighters battling the blaze at her two-storey abode in Canning Town, East London, after a heat lamp used to grow cannabis in her loft malfunctioned and started the destructive inferno.
The 59-year-old English teacher reportedly screeched, “Oh my God, what’s happened?” when she realised her home had gone up in smoke.
A 29-year-old man – who was with Christina – has been held on suspicion of cultivation after police removed 120 plants, worth an estimated £30,000, from the loft.
A spokesman for London’s Metropolitan Police told The Sun newspaper: “A man aged 29 was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and was bailed to appear at a police station in late November.”
Firefighters spent 50 minutes battling the blaze, which saw smoke bellowing out of the damaged roof, as panicked neighbours watched on.
An onlooker told the publication: “We saw no flames, but an awful lot of smoke was coming through the roof. Christina came back around 2pm, dressed all in black. A scruffy guy in his 20s in a hoodie and cut-down shorts was with her.
“She ran round the corner shouting, ‘Oh my God, what’s happened? The snakes, the snakes.’ I don’t know if she keeps reptiles or was referring to someone’s actions.
“She went inside as the police recovered the plants. I counted 120, all about 3ft tall and sticking out the top of brown paper bags. Then the guy was handcuffed and taken away.”
It’s believed Christina had spent the weekend with her son as she watched him finally tie the knot with his long-term partner Joanne Mas in the countryside.

James Cameron teases Avatar plot

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Avatar’ sequels will be “more of a family saga”.
James Cameron is currently working on hotly anticipated sequels to the 2009 fantasy film and has revealed a few details about what fans can expect in the upcoming movies.
He said: “The storyline in the sequels really follows Jake and Neytiri and their children. It’s more of a family saga about the struggle with the humans.”
The sequels are set to be released one after the other and the 62-year-old filmmaker insists they are still on schedule to have ‘Avatar 2’ out by 2018.
He added to Variety: “We haven’t moved that target yet, but we will if we need to. The important thing for me is not when the first one comes out but the cadence of the release pattern.
“I want them to be released as close together as possible. If it’s an annual appointment to show up at Christmas, I want to make sure that we’re able to fulfill on that promise.”
Meanwhile, James previously revealed he is to shoot all four ‘Avatar’ sequels together.
He shared: “It’s not back-to-back. It’s really all one big production. It’s more the way you would shoot a miniseries. So we’ll be shooting across all [‘Avatar’ scripts] simultaneously. So Monday I might be doing a scene from movie four, and Tuesday I’m doing a scene from movie one.
“We’re working across, essentially, eight hours of story. It’s going to be a big challenge to keep it all fixed in our minds, exactly where we are, across that story arc at any given point. It’s going to be probably the most challenging thing I’ve ever done.
“I’m sure the actors will be challenged by that as well. It’s like, ‘No, no, no, no, this person hasn’t died yet, so you’re still in this phase of your life.’ It’s a saga. It’s like doing all three ‘Godfather’ films at the same time.”

Johnny Depp to star in Labyrinth

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp will star in ‘Labyrinth’.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actor has been cast in the role of Russell Poole, the detective who headed the investigation into the murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Poole, a Los Angeles detective, was given the tricky task to find out who murdered the ‘Juicy’ hitmaker. He later became convinced that the rapper’s death was caused by “gangsta cops” in his force.
However, his theory has been shelved by others, including fellow Los Angeles police detective Greg Kading, who believes it was more likely to be gang members who were responsible for the rapper’s untimely death.
‘Labyrinth’ – which is directed by Brad Furman – has been adapted from the book ‘Labyrinth: A Detective Investigates the Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., the Implications of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, and the Origins of the Los Angeles Police Scandal’, which is journalist Randall Sullivan’s account of the series of the events leading up to and after the murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.

Scarlett Moffatt signs up for I'm a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt has signed up for ‘I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here’.
The 25-year-old reality star first made a name for herself on ‘Gogglebox’ but she is set to swap her parent’s sofa for the Australian jungle as she signs up for the ITV reality television show.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Scarlett has gone down really well on ‘Gogglebox’ and ‘I’m A Celeb’ producers think she’s a perfect fit for them. Her hilarious one-liners and frank views make great telly for Channel 4 so they want a bit of the action.
“They think she can be a better version of Vicky Pattison, who unexpectedly won last year’s show. Also it’s win-win as she’ll look great in a bikini so will give them the much sought-after waterfall shot they want every year. And Scarlett can promote her DVD.”
The news of Scarlett’s decision to join the jungle comes after she previously stated she wouldn’t do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because she didn’t want to give up ‘Gogglebox’. She claimed she was worried she would lose her spot on the show if she went to a rival broadcaster and said that if she “had” to do a reality show, she would choose ‘I’m A Celeb’.
She shared: “I was asked to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ which was pretty cool but I love ‘Gogglebox’ too much. It’s the best and easiest job in the world to sit and watch telly. I would have had to choose between the two and it was a no brainer for me.
“I couldn’t take the risk. Knowing my luck, I would never be allowed to rejoin. I wouldn’t leave ‘Gogglebox’ for any show but if I could do one and stay on it, I would choose the jungle. I think it would be really cool to do the challenges and face your fears.”

James Nesbitt wants another Cold Feet series

OHMYGOSSIP — James Nesbitt wants another series of ‘Cold Feet’.
The popular television series made a triumphant return to ITV earlier this week after a 13-year hiatus and the show’s star is keen to see another series commissioned.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I think we were all very anxious, secretly. It went very well. Another series would be great. The funny thing about being in ‘Cold Feet’ originally was that I couldn’t really enjoy it, because I was in it. But when I watched it this week I loved watching the other characters. It was good.”
Meanwhile, the show’s writer Mike Bullen previously revealed he asked Helen Baxendale – who played the late Rachel Bradley in the show – to return to her role but she declined.
Mike explained: “I’m quite sentimental. I wanted to find a way of doing ‘Cold Feet’ with the original six … I sent that script to Helen to say, ‘Do you want to do it?’ She was very sweet about the script but she said, no, it wasn’t for her.
“I’m pleased she did because it was the right decision both for her and the show. I was clinging to something that we needed to let go of. But Rachel was such a key part of the show and to all those characters.”
And James – who plays her on-screen husband Adam Williams – would have liked Helen to return too.
He added: “I think that was the right decision for Helen to make. I’ve missed her terribly. She was such an important part of ‘Cold Feet’ and my professional life. I loved my time working with her. But it would have been stretching it a bit too far to bring her back. Adam talks about Rachel a lot in this series and there’s a little tribute to her as well. So her presence is felt throughout.”

Michael Georgiou kicked off The Great British Bake Off'

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Georgiou has been booted off ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The politics student was kicked off the BBC One baking show after he failed to impress in bread week.
After his exit, he said: “The bake I went on is a bake that meant a lot to me so it is quite sad that I went based on that.
“I’m going to let my mum know first. She’s been the one that’s been with me from the start. I know she’s still going to be proud of me that I got this far but I wasn’t up to the standard.”
Whilst Michael failed to impress Paul Hollywood with his creations during this week, Paul is keen for the student to carry on baking.
He added: “I’d like to see Michael carry on doing what he’s doing. He’s a great baker and a nice lad. I’ll keep in touch with him and we’ll go to Cyprus and have a nice beer.”
Elsewhere on the show, Tom Gillford was awarded the Star Baker title.
Speaking about being named the best of the bunch, Tom said: “I was really shocked. I did not expect that at all in any way. I was looking around thinking, ‘Did they make a pun about Thor’s hammer?'”
Tom managed to impress throughout the three challenges. His chocolate bread wowed Paul, who dubbed it as “excellent”, whilst Mary Berry revealed she was impressed with his clever thinking – choosing a shallower bake so it could cook quicker and within the allotted time.
For the technical challenge, the bakers were asked to produce 12 dampfnudels, a type of steamed sweet dumpling, and serve it with two sauces.
Val Stones placed first in that challenge whilst Andrew Smyth came a close second and was pipped to the post for Star Baker.
‘The Great British Bake Off’ continues next Wednesday (14.09.16), where contestants will be faced with a first on the show – batter.

Jeff Bridges wants to act less

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Bridges is “trying not to act” any more.
The 66-year-old actor doesn’t want to make movies because they take up so much of his time and stop him from pursuing other things.
He said: “I really try my best not to do movies. I try not to act because I have so many other things I like to do, like playing guitar.
“Once you commit you are busy so I really try not to engage.”
However, the Oscar-winning actor admits it is tough to turn down good scripts, such as his latest movie ‘Hell or High Water’, a crime drama in which he plays a sheriff.
He told BBC News: “You get a script like this one, and this cast, and you end up doing [another film]. That seems to be my modus operandi.”
The movie sees Chris Pine and Ben Foster rob branches of a bank in order to pay the mortgage they owe to the same institution.
A shoot-out occurs after one robbery, with many gun-carrying members of the public involved, and the banks are desperate to obtain foreclosed property.
While Jeff admits the subject matter “makes you root for the bad guys”, he doesn’t think the bankers are the villains.
He insisted: “The enemy is us. I am the villain in my own life. We are all in it together, and we’re a funky bunch – violent and greedy, but that’s us.
“We really are in a dilemma – on gun control, what do we do? The barn doors opened long ago, and the horses are out. I belong to organisations to improve gun safety and it’s a problem to know how to control them. They are prolific and it’s too late. The right to bear arms was set in motion a long time ago – now how do we navigate the things of history?
“It’s the same with nuclear weapons – and look what we did with slavery, and the native Americans. We have never ‘fessed up and taken responsibility for these wrongs and it all piles up. Finally the chickens have come home to roost.”
Jeff thinks the film is a “modern-day western”.
He said: “Take away the cars and you’d be left with a pure old-fashioned western. That genre will never be killed off – it’s too fascinating.”

Viggo Mortensen ‘spent weeks’ learning to rock climb

OHMYGOSSIP — Viggo Mortensen “spent weeks” learning to rock climb in preparation for his role in ‘Captain Fantastic’.
The 57-year-old actor plays Ben Cash in the new drama movie and has revealed the extensive preparation he undertook in order to star as a bagpipe-playing father of six.
He shared: “We spent weeks developing the skills: rock-climbing, martial arts, yoga, things we had to do in the forest.
“Two girls had to learn how to go and skin an animal. I had to work on seeming like I could play the bagpipes and I had to learn to play the guitar so I could compose and improvise a little bit in the scenes where we play music as a family.”
Of all the skills Viggo developed in preparation for the role, he admitted to being most proud of learning to rock climb.
Viggo told the Metro newspaper: “Managing to get through the rock climbing was something. I tried it a little bit before but it’s something I’m not comfortable with.
“But it’s worthwhile getting over your reticence or your fear of an activity. You feel better having got through it.
“Making any movie feels like a victory, especially one as complex as that with all of those kids.”
Viggo stars in the Matt Ross-directed movie alongside George MacKay and Samantha Isler, and admitted he formed some strong friendships on the set of the film.
He shared: “We were like a family and we still are – I’ve spent time with them at Cannes and that’s been great. You can’t fake that if, a year later, you’re still happy to see each other and you’re sad to part ways again.”

The Crow to start filming in January

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Crow’ reboot will start filming in January.
Multiple sources confirmed to The Wrap that production on the hotly-anticipated motion picture will get underway in four months time.
Jason Momoa, 37, was confirmed to be starring in the movie last month, and posted a picture of himself and Colin Hardy – who is directing the project – on Instagram, confirming his role.
The caption read: “The only way to officially seal the deal as men Is a pint of black beauty. @guinness #sealthedeal #wearemarriednowf***er. #greatnewstocome. #dreamjob #cantwaittotelltheworld ALOHA ED ???????? (sic)”
The reboot of the 1994 fantasy film will be a new adaptation of James O’Barr’s classic comic book, which follows the story of Eric Draven, a murder victim who returns from the dead and seeks vengeance on those who murdered him.
The original version of the film starred the late Brandon Lee, who was accidentally shot during filming.
The former ‘Game of Thrones’ actor will step into the role after filming wraps on his current project ‘Justice League’, in which he plays Aquaman.
Audiences were first introduced to Jason in the role in ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, and he is set to reprise his role for a third time in a standalone film in 2018.
Whilst filming is confirmed to be taking place in January, no release date has yet been finalised for the project.

Anthony Joshua working on movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Anthony Joshua has been secretly shooting a movie documenting his life.
The IBF heavyweight champion, 26, has been working on the forthcoming film for the past year with cameras following him everywhere, including at the Rio 2016 Olympics where he worked as a pundit, and the motion picture is scheduled to be released in the “next couple of years”.
A source said: “He has been recording footage for the past year or so, including behind-the-scenes stuff of his fights and him in training.
“The cameras have also captured him with his family and followed him to Rio, where he was an Olympics pundit.
“The aim is for the documentary to be released in the next couple of years.”
Joshua is keen to follow in the footsteps of Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who had a movie about his life, ‘Ronaldo’, released last year.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Anthony wants to be up there with the best in world sport.
“This film will cement his place as a British boxing legend. He saw what Ronaldo did with his documentary and is keen to replicate that feel, showing just what it takes to reach that level of success but also revealing a personal, more intimate side to him.”
Joshua was at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night (06.09.16), where he was presented with the Sportsman of the Year prize after a successful 12 months.
His next fight is to be on November 26 in Manchester when he takes on the second challenger for his world title.
The British boxer retained his belt in June with a spectacular seventh round demolition of Dominic Breazeale at London’s The O2.

Jamie Dornan won’t do anymore Fifty Shades of Grey films

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan won’t do another ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film.
The 34-year-old hunk has just finished shooting the second and third flick ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ in the franchise and he’s adamant he won’t reprise his role as sexy protagonist Christian Grey for the fourth installment.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “We have done two movies back to back now, and I’m actually finished with it. I’ve done ‘Fifty Shades…’ forever.
“I move on very fast in my mind. As much as from the outside people think you are synonymous with one character, but I’m very much like, ‘Right, that’s done’ and move on to the next project and worry about that character.”
The first blockbuster – which hit the big screen last year and pulled in $571 million (£425.85 million) worldwide – was struck a number of blows shortly after its release as it was slammed by film critics and then a feud broke out between writer E.L. James and director Sam Taylor-Johnson.
The 49-year-old filmmaker quit the franchise and has been replaced by James Foley as a result of the bitter war of words but Jamie can understand why the author – whose real name is Erika Mitchell – wanted to have input into the movies.
He explained: “There are pressures involved with everyone making a movie of this scale. Not just Sam and Erika, everyone is feeling the pressure. Everyone is trying to complete their role as best they can. For Erika these are her babies, these mean more than her to anyone else.
“There is pressure making these movies. Sometimes you need a bit of angst and pressure to make things happen.”
