Jamie Dornan: I feel insecure about everything

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Dornan feels “insecure about everything”.
The 34-year-old actor has admitted that despite being one of the most sought-after leading men in Hollywood, he still has his own hang-ups.
He explained: “Of course I’m insecure, I feel insecure about everything. Nothing changes when you become famous.
“I can remember making videos with a camcorder or voice recordings and you always cringe a bit when you see or hear yourself. I don’t believe there are any actors who feel totally secure and if they do, well, that’s worrying.”
Meanwhile, Jamie has insisted he never feared he would be unable to disassociate himself from his part in the ‘Fifty Shades’ series and that the role would harm his career.
Jamie told the Irish Independent newspaper: “I’m a very optimistic and positive person by nature. Some roles can be a bit all-encompassing, but I don’t see a lot of negatives when a film makes $300m at the box office.
“My involvement in films like ‘Jadotville’ is as a direct result of other films I’ve done which have done well. If I ever find myself taking on jobs for the wrong reasons I’ll just stop. I’m not one of these actors who thinks they always have to be acting.”
Jamie also claimed he does not revel in his own celebrity, although he thinks there is more focus on famous females.
He said: “If you look at people like the Kardashians, they enable it, they seek it. I am living out in the English countryside in the middle of nowhere. The only things that are following me are goats, mostly.
“I think the notion of paparazzi following you is much worse for women than it is for men. They don’t care about the guys as much. Women in the public eye definitely get more attention.”

Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell 'to be killed off in EastEnders'

OHMYGOSSIP — Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell are to be killed off during the ‘EastEnders’ New Year’s Eve special.
Actresses Rita Simons, 39, (Roxy) and Sam Womack, 43, (Ronnie) are said to be upset by the news because they’d hoped the door would be left open for them to return, while the other cast members are reported to have complained that they have not been consulted.
A source explained: “Everyone’s in shock. The cast are really upset as it’s come out of the blue.”
The planned exits of Roxy and Ronnie have been instigated by new producer Sean O’Connor, who also recently killed off characters Margaret Midhurst and Paul Coker.
The source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “People are worried who’s going to be next. The script for Roxy and Ronnie’s deaths has been written, but none of the actors know what’s going to happen.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the BBC has refused to comment on future plans, saying he does not wish to ruin the surprise element for fans of the show.
He said: “We know how much our audience hate to have any future storylines spoilt so we will not comment on speculative stories.
“At no point have we received any concerns from cast about any of our future storylines.”
Roxy and Ronnie first joined the programme in 2007, when they were introduced as the cousins of Phil and Grant Mitchell.

Daisy Lowe: I won't fall victim to the Strictly curse

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe is confident she won’t fall victim to the ‘Strictly’ curse.
The curvaceous model recently started dating male model and actor Bradley ‘Frankie’ Wade and Daisy is convinced she won’t be swapping her new man for Slovenian hunk Aljaz Skorjanec, her dance partner on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 27-year-old beauty shared: “Frankie and I have been dating for just over a month, and it’s going well. He’s fit, really fit from the inside out.
“I made a sneaky video of him the other day making me pancakes at home while topless, and it’s hard to imagine that getting much better.
“I posted the video on Snapchat with a big pink heart around it, though he’ll kill me for saying that.
“Of course I’ve been asked about the ‘Strictly’ curse, but there’s no chance.”
Daisy is full of praise for her new dance partner – but pointed out that Aljaz, 26, is madly in love with his fiancée, ‘Strictly’ dancer Janette Manrara.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “I love Aljaz with all my heart, even after a month, because he is the most gorgeous, warm, kind-hearted human being. But it’s totally platonic.
“He is like my brother. And he and Janette are so in love, they are gorgeous and engaged, and we all have so much fun together.
“Frankie loves Aljaz and he is really supportive, which is lovely.
“Whenever the curse is mentioned, I’m so happy I met him before we started.”
Despite being a world-famous model, Daisy has admitted to feeling very nervous before her debut appearance on ‘Strictly’.
She shared: “I was having a right panic. Having Aljaz has eased the pressure since then, because he is so calm and patient.
“But you do go through so many stages of panic, sheer terror and bone-shaking fear.
“I’d love to stay as long as humanly possible, so I’m going to cling on for dear life, but there are so many incredible people in this year’s cast. It really feels like a family.
“We’ve got a WhatsApp group and everyone’s like, ‘I feel sick, I’m tired, this happened, I’m crying at rehearsals.’
“But when things go better, they all message, ‘We love you’ and send sweaty selfies.”

Coronation Street actor Marc Anwar 'sacked over offensive tweets'

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ actor Marc Anwar has reportedly been sacked over a series of offensive tweets.
The Pakistan-born actor, who plays the part of Sharif Nazir on the ITV soap, called Indians “b*****ds” and “p**s-drinking c***s” in a foul-mouthed tirade, which has led to his sacking from the programme.
ITV said in a statement: “We are deeply shocked by the entirely unacceptable, racially offensive comments made on Twitter by Marc Anwar.
“We have talked to Marc and, as a consequence of his comments, he will not be returning to ‘Coronation Street’ with immediate effect.”
The broadcaster was reportedly alerted to the offensive posts by the Sunday Mirror newspaper and the actor was apparently dismissed from his role on the show within a matter of hours.
The 45-year-old actor also referred to Indians as killers and suggested people from Pakistan should refuse to work in the neighbouring country.
He wrote: “Why the F***k do #pakistaniartists want work in #f*** face #india, do you love money so much. (sic)”
Subsequently, the actor posted an image of a clenched fist and added: “Ban #india movies in #PakistanisLeaveIndia. B*****ds p**s drinking #c**ts. (sic)”
Marc also slammed Indian Prime Minster Narenda Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who have clashed over the disputed territory of Kashmir.
Earlier this month, some 17 soldiers were killed in Kashmir.
The actor wrote: “F***ing #indians killing our #Kashmir brothers and sisters, beygairth #NawazSharif still sucking #modi Lul! (sic)”

Mary Berry only planned to stay on The Great British Bake Off 'for another year'

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary Berry reportedly told ‘Great British Bake Off’ bosses she only planned to stay on the show for “another year or so” – regardless of which channel broadcasts the programme.
The 81-year-old TV star recently announced her intention to stay with the BBC rather than following the show to its new home of Channel 4, but Mary apparently told executives at Love Productions, who own the show, that she would not be making any long-term commitments before they sold it to Channel 4.
A source told the Sunday People newspaper: “Mary loves the show, but she had made it clear she wouldn’t be able to give any long-term commitments.
“Two years from now, she does not expect to be working at the rate she is currently – and the production team were aware of this.”
Despite Mary recently reaffirming her commitment to the BBC, the ‘Bake Off’ star is only interested in short-term projects with the broadcaster.
Meanwhile, Paul Hollywood is the only member of the original ‘Bake Off’ line up who is following the show to Channel 4.
However, the 50-year-old presenter is reportedly upset by accusations of greed over his decision.
A source close to Paul said: “I know Paul’s been affected by the way some people have criticised him since he said he would stay loyal to the show.
“Some of the criticism has been very personal – when all he’s trying to do is stay in the job he loves. He’s a working guy trying to do what he does best. Is it disloyal to want to carry on with the job you love?
“Paul didn’t ‘follow the dough’ – he followed his passion. Can you blame him if he’s finally also going to get paid a decent reward for something that he’s one of the best at in the world?”

Bradley Cooper's grocery bond with Lady Gaga

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper is insisting on going grocery shopping with Lady Gaga to “get in the zone” for their upcoming movie.
The 41-year-old actor will make his directorial debut with the upcoming ‘A Star Is Born’ remake and is already bonding with his co-star by doing everyday tasks together.
A source said: “It’s a huge project for Bradley and he wants to build momentum.
“He’s hanging out with Gaga a lot to get in the zone.
“He’s been at her house and they’ve been doing bonding exercises, such as having brunch and going shopping. They share a love of vintage cars too and they’re getting on like a house on fire.”
However, their pair’s new friendship hasn’t gone down well with Bradley’s girlfriend Irina Shayk, who is said to be feeling frustrated at the amount of time the hunky actor is spending with the ‘Poker Face’ singer, who recently split from fiancé Taylor Kinney.
The source added to Britain’s Grazia magazine: “Bradley and Gaga have become so inseparable that his girlfriend is feeling quite left out.
“It’s causing tension in the relationship – especially because they’re not even scheduled to start shooting until next year – but Bradley is refusing to compromise.
“Irina already feels Gaga has become the third person in their relationship so she’s dreading once filming starts and Bradley and Gaga are spending every day together.”

Meat Loaf: I'm the most boring person alive

OHMYGOSSIP — Meat Loaf is “the most boring human being on the face of the earth”.
The 68-year-old star recently raised concern among his fans after a slurry appearance on a BBC radio show – but the singer and actor has insisted it was simply the result of a swollen tongue and admitted to living a much more sedate lifestyle than the average entertainer.
He shared: “I don’t drink, don’t do drugs, don’t go to clubs, I don’t do any of that rock and roll stuff. I’m the most boring human being on the face of the earth.”
The singer has, however, been dealing with severe pain in his back after pinching a nerve around his spine nine months ago.
Meat Loaf – whose real name is Michael Aday – admitted he is in agony whenever he stands up.
He told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: “It’s OK when I’m sitting but standing up’s like being stabbed by Norman Bates in ‘Psycho’. It’s no fun.”
Meat Loaf describes himself as “a cat with 48 lives” and is surprised that he hasn’t been fatally injured given the number of near misses he has had through the years, which has included being hit by a shot putt thrown 62 feet.
He said: “Didn’t even knock me out. Weird. I’ve fallen three stories, been in car wrecks, near misses, emergency landings so many times I should have died.”
In June, he collapsed on stage while performing in Edmonton, Canada, because he was ill.
But Meat Loaf shrugs off the incident which attracted worldwide attention.
He explained: “I’d had the flu, I was dehydrated, I just needed to drink more water. I can’t believe that story went around the world.
“I mean, I’d understand if it was like a small item in the Edmonton local paper. But you’d think people would have better things to do in England than writing about me falling over.”

Daisy Lowe tops Strictly leaderboard

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe has topped the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard for the first week.
The 27-year-old model and professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec scored 32 points for their waltz, which was described by head judge Len Goodman as the best dance he’d ever seen in week one of the contest.
Awarding them a nine, he said: “I was looking for a daisy and I found an English rose.
“I don’t think I’ve seen a dance better than that for week one, ever.”
Darcy Bussell agreed and said: “You instantly set the romantic feel to the atmosphere, it sent shivers down my back.”
Bruno Tonioli added: “You are dazzling, it had the radiant quality of old school glamour. You made it look very easy.”
However, Craig Revel Horwood wasn’t as convinced and admitted: “I found it a bit sickly sweet, over the top but you danced it beautifully.”
Elsewhere on the show, politician Ed Balls and his partner Katya Jones failed to impress, scoring just 21 points to take the bottom slot on the leader board, two behind Friday (23.09.16) night’s lowest-scoring contestant Lesley Joseph.
Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp tied for second place with 31, one point ahead of bookies’ favourite Will Young, who picked up a respectable 30.
Also dancing on Saturday’s (24.09.16) show were olympic gymnast Claudia Fragipane and actress Tameka Empson, who were both awarded 26 by the judges and singer Anastacia, who got 28.
None of the 15 couples who danced on Friday and Saturday will be eliminated this week.

Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger choose final six

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell took Soheila Clifford, Kayleigh Marie Morgan, Caitlyn Vanbeck, Gifty Louise, Emily Middlemas and Olivia Garcia through to the Judges Houses stage of ‘The X Factor’ on Saturday (24.09.16).
The music mogul told his six finalists they will be off to Malibu following an intense six-chair challenge at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, that saw 10 out of the 11 remaining performers in the category invited to take a seat at varying stages of the contest.
Sohelia bagged the first chair, and was quickly joined by Kayleigh Marie, before Luena Martinez earned the third seat with her “heart, determination and talent.”
Faye Horne then made it through, but after Caitlyn took the final seat, Faye lost her space to Jordina Miller – who then gave up her place to make room for Emily.
Samantha Lavery was also invited into Simon’s finalist group but lost her seat to Gifty, much to Nicole Scherzinger’s outrage.
Olivia was the final performer to sing, and took Luena’s space at Judges’ Houses.
Eleventh hopeful Ellie Rose was rejected outright.
Simon told her: “I like you but I think you are capable of better than that. Ellie, I’m not going to give you a chair.”
Meanwhile, Nicole opted to take James Hughes, Niall Sexton, Matt Terry, Freddy Parker, Nate Simpson, and Christian Burrows through to France for her Judges’ Houses after witnessing the boys’ performances on Saturday’s show.
Mike Hough had landed the first seat, but only after his mentor made him sing twice, with James and Niall taking the second and third spots.
Connor McGinty got the fourth seat, and was quickly followed over by Matt and Luca Valenti.
Freddy then got Connor’s chair, while Mike was forced to vacate after Nate gave what Simon described as the best performance of the night.
Christian’s impressive performance saw Nicole order a sing off between him and Matt, before she eventually made Luca give up his seat so she could take Christian through.
Will Rush wasn’t offered a seat after singing one of his own compositions.
Nicole told him: “I respect you, you’re a songwriter, you know what you want to do.
“I’ve made my decision, I’m sorry, it’s not going to be enough.”

Vicky Pattison 'buzzing' for I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison is “buzzing” for her ‘I’m A Celebrity’ return.
Vicky – who was crowned Queen of the Jungle on the show last year last year -will join Joe Swash, Stacey Solomon and Chris Ramsey on the new spin-off ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’ and cannot wait to get back to the jungle.
She told The Sun: “Winning the jungle last year was the most incredible experience of my life.
“I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to my jungle experience just yet and luckily, after getting my dream job, I don’t have to.”
Vicky had been the hot favourite to take over as host since Laura Whitmore, who fronted the spin-off for five years, quit as presenter a few months ago.
A source previously said: “Vicky made no secret of the fact that she would love to replace Laura. But while she was always the front- runner, ITV took their time with the decision.
“It’s only very recently that they have said they want her.”
The foursome will head Down Under later this year to host the newly named ‘I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp’ as they’re joined by famous guests and dish the dirt on the stars fighting for survival in the jungle.
Joe – who has presented the original spin-off ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! NOW!’ since 2009 – said of the new line up: “‘I’m A Celebrity…’ is always my most favourite time of the year.
“I cannot wait to be back at my second home with a new gang of people. As always I’m sure this series will be the best one yet.”
And this year will no doubt be one to remember as the former ‘EastEnders’ star will be joined on the panel by his girlfriend Stacey, whom he’s been dating since early January.
And they’ve both got plenty of experience when it comes to jungle life as Joe won the show in 2008, while Stacey took the title in 2010.
Chris, on the other hand, has never stepped foot in the jungle before and is thrilled bosses have decided to put him on the spin-off rather than the main show where he’ll have to take part in gruelling trials.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan to star in Wildlife

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan will co-star in ‘Wildlife’.
The pair – who previously worked together on the movie ‘Brothers’ – have signed up to star in Paul Dano’s directorial debut, which is based on the Richard Ford novel and tells the story of a teenage boy who watches his parents’ marriage fall apart after the family moves to Montana.
Paul told Variety: “In Richard’s book I saw myself and many others. I have always wanted to make films – and have always known I would make films about family. I couldn’t be happier to have such beautiful collaborators like Carey and Jake leading the way.”
Andrew Duncan and Alex Saks from June Pictures added: “Paul is a natural born storyteller — a force. We are thrilled to collaborate with him and these phenomenal actors to bring his exquisite vision for this film to life.”
Paul and his long-term partner Zoe Kazan co-wrote the script for the indie movie.
The couple – who have been in a relationship together since 2007 – first worked together on 2012’s ‘Ruby Sparks’ which was directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris from a script by Kazan, and followed a nervous novelist (Dano) whose fictional character, Ruby Sparks, (Kazan) is brought to life.
Jake is currently working on the movie ‘Life’ for Skydance while Carey recently wrapped production on ‘Mudbound’.

Benedict Cumberbatch's close shave

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch nearly missed out on the role of ‘Doctor Strange’.
The 40-year-old actor thought he would have to turn down the role of the Marvel superhero as filming clashed with his ‘Hamlet’ shows in London but was amazed when the studios decided to push back the release date to fit in with him.
He told Empire magazine: “I really did think I had to kiss it goodbye. If you can’t jump on board when the ride’s going past, that’s usually it so the hugest compliment they paid me was to come back to me. It motivated me to try to fulfil their faith in me.”
The film’s director Scott Derrickson revealed that Cumberbatch – who has 15-month-old son Christopher with his wife Sophie Hunter – was “the only actor we seriously considered” but did admit they looked at the likes of Jared Leto and Ryan Gosling aswell.
Meanwhile, Cumberbatch previously admitted the role was “psychologically and physically” demanding.
He said: “He goes through so much psychologically and physically, which I can testify to as an actor. Kevin Feige went, ‘I don’t think we have put an actor through quite as much as this.’ I said, ‘I’ll wear that badge with pride.’
“It was a tough shoot from that point of view. It was very, very physically demanding. Not just getting all hench, as they say in Wales, the buffness you need for the superhero stuff. But also just day-to-day fitness and the stamina to do 14-15 hour days with very little turnaround and very little sleep and a baby at home and all the rest of it. So I did go through quite a lot. No pain, no gain. But for the character, hopefully it’ll show.”

Nick Knowles rules out Gemma Oaten romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Knowles has ruled out a romance with Gemma Oaten in order to focus on his marriage.
The 53-year-old presenter split from his wife Jessica, 28, in January but says the pair have become close again while co-parenting their two-year-old son Eddie.
He told the Daily Mirror: “Gemma and I are not dating. We went on a date. The nature of my work means it’s very difficult to go on a date without everybody making a much bigger deal of it.
“She’s a lovely girl but I’m not in a place at the moment where I am looking to date anybody.
“I have a relationship with Jessica and we are best friends. We are working through things.
“We treat our relationship and parenting as the most important thing in our lives.
“We’ve had a really difficult year, but through all of the difficulties Jessica stayed my best friend and we’re still deeply close.”
Nick’s comments come after he and former ‘Emmerdale’ star Gemma were spotted cuddling outside the TV Choice Awards bash at London’s Dorchester hotel earlier this month.
Gemma, 32, rested her head on Nick’s chest as they looked at his phone, while the pair were also spotted smoking cigarettes together and chatting in the street.
Speaking previously about her split from Nick, Jessica said: “If Nick met someone and was happy, I’d be happy. I have so much respect and time for him.”
What’s more, Jessica – who revealed in July she had cervical cancer – credited Nick with saving her life after he made her visit her doctor.
She said, too, that despite their split, Nick has remained a supportive influence in her life.
Jessica shared: “He’s still there for me but it’s hard. I’m really sad we split.”

Geri Horner to present Bake Off?

OHMYGOSSIP — Geri Horner is being lined up to host ‘Great British Bake Off’.
Hosts Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc recently announced they would no longer front the show after Channel 4 bought the rights to the series as part of a mega deal and Geri has been tipped to replace them.
A source told The Sun: “Geri is a bit of a curveball idea, but an intriguing one all the same.
“She has always been a huge supporter of ‘Bake Off’ but bosses face a tough ask to get her on board.
“She’s got relatively little presenting experience and has big music commitments.
“But it’s the only show that might tempt her to host.”
Geri appeared on the Sport Relief special of the show in February.
Meanwhile, Paul Hollywood has signed a three-year deal with the ‘Great British Bake Off’.
The 50-year-old star will appear as a judge on the cooking show for at least another three series after he penned a contract with bosses at Channel 4 for a mystery lump sum.
Jay Hunt, Chief Creative Officer of Channel 4, said: “Paul really is the star baker – an exceptional talent with a twinkle in his eye. His wit, warmth and wisdom are vital ingredients in ‘…Bake Off’s success. I’m so delighted he’s coming to Channel 4.”
Richard McKerrow, Creative Director of Love Productions – the creators of the show – said: “We are delighted to confirm that Paul is coming with the tent ready to encourage, inspire and raise the occasional, quizzical eyebrow. Paul’s presence will ensure the culture of ‘…Bake Off’ continues in the tent as it makes its move to Channel 4.”
The announcement that Paul has decided to stay on ‘GBBO’ when it moves from the BBC – which has screened the show since 2010 – to its rival Channel 4 came just minutes after his co-judge Mary Berry decided to turn her back on the series out of “loyalty” to the BBC.
Mary, 81, said: “My decision to stay with the BBC is out of loyalty to them, as they have nurtured me, and the show, that was a unique and brilliant format from day one.
“What a privilege and honour it has been to be part of seven years of magic in a tent. I am just sad for the audience who may not be ready for change.”
The future of the programme has been hanging in the balance since it was revealed Channel 4 had bought the rights to the show for an estimated £75 million last week.

Angelina Jolie pulls out of new movie with Brad Pitt

OHMYGOSSIP — Angelina Jolie has pulled out of directing Brad Pitt in ‘Africa’.
The 52-year-old actor was set to star in his 41-year-old wife’s new big budget movie but Angelina has reportedly left the project after filing for divorce from Brad this week.
A source told Heat Street: “This movie has been a nightmare to get off the ground from the beginning. Until the last few weeks Angelina was resolute in her intent to get it made but now she doesn’t want to direct it at all.
“Brad was still interested in acting in the movie – for him it was ‘Seven Years in Tibet’ set in Africa and he wasn’t ready to give up on it. But Angelina now doesn’t want to have any kind of relationship with him, personal or professional.”
‘Africa’ is a true story about paleoanthropologist Richard Leakey and his battle with the ivory poachers who threatened the African elephant population in the 1980s and Angelina – who raises six children with Brad – was working from a script written by Eric Roth.
The brunette beauty has previously said: “I’ve felt a deep connection to Africa and its culture for much of my life, and was taken with Eric’s beautiful script about a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers who emerged with a deeper understanding of man’s footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him.”
However, last year the movie’s future was put into doubt over finance issues after Skydance Productions reportedly slashed their financial commitment from 50 per cent to 25.
Sources told Deadline the production company and director Angelina were involved in a dispute, with Skydance wanting a love story to be the main focus of the film, but the star only wanted it to be one part.
As a result of the dispute, Skydance dropped their financial offer, though sources close to the production company insisted they never intended to put in more than the 25 per cent commitment that Paramount Pictures also made to the project.
The movie had a reported budget of $110 million.

Friday the 13th reboot delayed

OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘Friday the 13th’ movie has been delayed.
The reboot of the iconic horror movie franchise was slated for release early next year but has now been pushed back to October 13, 2017, Paramount Pictures have announced.
‘Friday the 13th’ follows the story of fictional killer Jason Voorhees, who drowned as a boy. His death has cursed the lake and the watery landscape becomes the setting of a series of brutal murders.
Whilst the movie has seen a setback, the ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ – which has been funded by a Kickstarter campaign – is now in full development.
After Gun Media released prototype footage of the game, they explained it was still in the developmental stage.
They said: “This is a rare glimpse into a game development prototype build that we’re using to test and prove out gameplay design concept.
“All of the assets, character models, animations, etc … are temporary assets, put in place so we can test in a reasonable context. The art, sound effects, music and gameplay are not final by any means. (sic)”
‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ easily reached its target of $823,704, beating the $700,000 it had initially hoped for.
