Denise Welch will never star Celebrity Big Brother All Stars special

OHMYGOSSIP — Denise Welch will never appear in a ‘Celebrity Big Brother All Stars’ special.
The 58-year-old actress won the popular reality show in 2012, but she has vowed not to enter into the infamous house in the future because she “didn’t enjoy” her experience and wouldn’t want to relive the “difficult time” again.
Speaking about starring in another season where the winners of previous years come together to be crowned the ultimate champion, she said: “I won it so there would be no point. And I didn’t enjoy it – it was a difficult time in my life.”
However, the ‘Waterloo Road’ star – who played the role of French teacher Steph Haydock in the BBC production – is glad she appeared in the show because it made her realise what she wanted to do with her future.
She explained: “It was a catalyst for me and gave me a lot of time to think about what I didn’t want in my life anymore, so I’m thankful to it for that.”
Although Denise has admitted she is very selective with the projects she now takes on and has turned down a lot of job opportunities, although she used to accept any role because she felt she had to “follow the money”.
The star – who has sons Matthew and Louis with her former partner and ‘Benidorm’ star Tim Healy – told the Metro newspaper: “It’s hard work [acting]. I’ve always been a hired hand and, being a producer, you have to be the boss, which doesn’t come easily to me, but I’ve enjoyed it.
“I’m at a stage where I don’t want to be on the telly just for the sake of it. I turn down a lot of stuff.
“I’ve always had to follow the money and do ‘drop your knickers and cry murder’ and all of that stuff but I don’t have to any more.”

The popular E4 reality show based in London’s Chelsea will return to our screens next month and the upcoming season is set to see the addition of Sam Prince – who previously dated Alex Mytton’s model girlfriend Lottie Moss – as well as James Sandford, Ella Willis, Mimi Bouchard and Daisy Robins join the programme.
And production company Monkey are “excited” to have the newcomers join the team as they hope they will “add fuel to a number of fires” in the forthcoming episodes.
David Granger, who is the Managing Director at Monkey, said: “We’ve got a number of new faces who are sure to add fuel to a number of fires.”
The 11-part series will also see the return of longstanding stars including Jamie Laing, Mark-Francis Vandelli, ‘The Hills’ alumni Stephanie Pratt, Francis Boulle, Ollie Locke as well as Josh ‘JP’ Patterson and his on/off girlfriend Binky Felstead who are expecting their first child together.
And David “can’t wait” to capture the 26-year-old brunette beauty during her pregnancy on ‘Made In Chelsea’ and to explore the “exciting chapter of her life” with the audience.
He continued: “We’re all so excited to have Chelsea’s first baby on the horizon. Binky has been with us since the start so we can’t wait to share another exciting chapter of her life with our viewers.”
However, Jessica Woodley won’t be making a comeback to the show, although her friends and co-stars Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo and Oliver Proudlock will be re-joining fellow cast members to film the new series.
Speaking previously about her departure, the blonde beauty said: “I’m not filming for it.
“The door’s always open, but I’m working really closely with Rimmel and taking this time to focus on myself.
“Being on a reality TV show was difficult. It takes a lot of time and is mentally challenging. It’s good to reconnect with the real world.

David Tennant feels at 'a loss' filming last ever series of Broadchurch

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant feels he’s at a “loss” with ‘Broadchurch’ coming to an end.
The 45-year-old actor, who has played the role of Detective Inspector Alec Hardy since the series started in 2013, will be “sad” to see the show come to an end after its fourth year, which will air later this month, as he has found it a “friendly, comfortable place” to work in.
Speaking about the last-ever series to Radio Times magazine, he said: “What will be sad is that we’ll never go back to it.
“It’s always been there as a sort of friendly, comfortable place that we’ll return to. But now that doesn’t exist anymore, it does feel like a loss.”
But the Scottish star has admitted filming the scenes alongside his co-star Olivia Coleman, who has been cast as Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller throughout the crime drama, made him feel the “happiest” he has ever felt on set.
He explained: “[‘Broadchurch’] is one of the happiest sets I’ve ever been on … It’s ludicrous for us to talk about how hard it is or how difficult our life is pretending to be police officers investigating a pretend sexual assault.” “You don’t take it any less seriously, but I can go home at the end of the day and not be someone who’s living that.”
And the 43-year-old actress would “die happy” if she was to work alongside the ‘Doctor Who’ star again.
She said: “If I could do every job with David Tennant I would die happy. He’s the nicest, most fun person to work with. He never complains. He’s brilliant.”
And David has reciprocated the compliment and has credited the brunette beauty as his friend.
He said: “Olivia has definitely become a part of my life and it’s lovely … and, you know, our families know each other. She’s a mate.”

Mia Goth: Shooting for 'A Cure for Wellness' was very intense

OHMYGOSSIP — Mia Goth found shooting for ‘A Cure for Wellness’ was “very, very intense”.
The 23-year-old actress – who plays Hannah, a patient who goes missing, in the psychological thriller – spent a lot of time in Germany’s “most haunted place”, where conditions were very cold and wet.
He said: “We shot in a place called Beelitz, which used to be a hospital in World War I and World War II, and the Soviets used to send their dissidents there and it’s known as the most haunted place in Germany and we would shoot there for nights at a time and there was a lot of water work of being just wet and cold and intense, very very intense.”
Director Gore Verbinski insisted on taking his time to make the movie because he didn’t want it to look “fast and cheap” like so many modern horrors do.
Mia told Collider: “We shot this film for five months, and it wasn’t because of the visual effects, it was because he wanted to make a good quality scary movie, not many movies are made like that any more.
“A lot of films are made fast and cheap, but we really took our time to make a good quality film and I really think you see that.
“Gore has the whole film story boarded before we even get to set so he knows exactly what he wants and won’t compromise on that, you feel very safe around him.”
Mia was drawn to the movie – which also stars Celia Imrie and Dane DeHaan – because she liked the idea it would ask the audience some “uncomfortable questions” about their lives.
She explained: “He said it’s meant to be a thought provoking film, from the title on, everything is supposed to be making a conversation, where he’s trying to have a conversation in the cinema and hasn’t really had one. It’s asking you some really uncomfortable questions at times, like blunt questions, ‘Are you happy?’ ‘Are you content with your life?’ And he just wanted to make a really freaky film and I think he succeeded.”

Hugh Jackman cried on the set of 'Logan'

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman cried on the set of ‘Logan’.
The 48-year-old actor has portrayed mutant Wolverine nine times since 2000 and though he insists he won’t “miss” the character because it will always be a part of him, he admits he felt “very emotional” on the set of the final film because he thinks director James Mangold is finally telling the story fans have wanted to see.
Speaking at a press conference in Sao Paulo, in Brazil, he said: “I love Wolverine. I will not miss it, for it will always be inside me.
“It was very emotional to make this movie. I always felt that there was a deeper story about this character.
“I’m very proud of the movies of the past, but I felt I had something more. Like a man. He did not want to be just the tough Wolverine, but the difficult Logan.
“I cried a few times on the set. I hope fans will say: finally, this is the Wolverine movie I wanted to see.”
Hugh also recalled how he initially thought the character was “ridiculous” when he was first approached about ‘X-Men’ but soon realised his mutant alter ego is more defined by his humanity than his powers.
He said: “I had never heard of X-Men when they called me for the test. When I read claws came out of his hands, I thought, ‘That’s ridiculous.’
“Wolverine is a different character. For me, he is more defined by his humanity than by his powers. He’s the hard guy to have on the team, but he’s worth having around.”
And the Australian star has promised the new film focuses more on his character’s humanity than ever before.
He added: “With this film, ‘Logan’, we can delve deeper into this humanity. Logan’s biggest enemy is intimacy. Having intimacy with friends, family, reveals who you really are, shows you what you do not accept. Now he surrenders and lets a family in. ”
‘Logan’ is expected to hit cinemas in March 2018.

Scarlett Moffatt 'gutted' by parents' Gogglebox axe

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffat is “gutted” that her parents have been axed from ‘Googlebox’.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner has taken to Twitter to share her dismay at the fact her mother Betty and father Mark have been dropped from the Channel 4 reality show because she’s decided to pursue other ventures.
In response to a fan on Twitter with the handle @DaniRx , the brunette beauty wrote: “we are gutted to, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it but we will still be watching #gogglebox (sic)”
Scarlett decided to take time out from the show to focus on her TV presenting career following her successful stint in the Australian jungle late last year.
A source previously said: “The whole premise of ‘Gogglebox’ is normal people commenting on the TV. Scarlett is now a celebrity in her own right so it made sense she wouldn’t continue. She and her parents came as a package. It wouldn’t work so well without all three of them.”
Scarlett is keeping busy with a new role on ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and presenting duties on ‘Streetmate’ and a new show with Alan Carr.
An insider said: “Channel 4 bosses are keen to make Scarlett one of their stand-out stars, and these two massive gigs are very much a part of that plan.
“‘Streetmate’ is an already- established show, so they are showing real confidence in her by signing her up when she has no presenting experience.
“Meanwhile, Alan is seen by many as the face of Channel 4’s entertainment so by positioning Scarlett alongside him, they are presenting her as one of their brightest stars. Both projects will be challenging, but the chiefs think Scarlett is more than capable of making them runaway successes.”

Vicky McClure phones her mum when she loses out on acting roles

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky McClure phones her mother when she gets rejected for acting roles.
The 33-year-old actress – who starred in BBC police TV series ‘Line of Duty’ and Indie film ‘This Is England’ – still struggles to come to terms with getting snubbed from parts she’s set her heart on and finds it easier to get over the rejection by speaking to her mother over the phone as soon as she hears back from bosses.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she explained: “What I do is, I ring my mum and say, ‘that was my part’ and I am really annoyed. The reality is, of course, I am gutted. If I have gone to the audition it is because I wanted it and got some attachment to it. I have spent time at home preparing for it and then you don’t get it. And it hurts. That will continue to my dying day.”
However, she hasn’t been rejected for every role, and will return to TV screens later this month in the three-part psychological thriller ‘The Replacement’.
The series is based in Glasgow and follows a woman who sees her identity being dismantled and can’t work out whether she’s just being paranoid.
Pregnant career woman Ellen, played by Morven Christie, hires some maternity cover in the form of Vicky’s character Paula and, although at first she appears to be the perfect candidate, it soon becomes apparent that something is wrong.
Speaking about the new show, director Joe Ahearne said: “Everyone can identify with the anxiety of seeing someone do their job as good or better than you can.
“Most of us have the secret fear that we’re not good enough and feel envy when we see others navigating professional and social situations more suavely than we think we can manage. Someone going on maternity leave and having to deal with a temporary replacement seemed like a great way to explore this.”
‘The Replacement’ will hit television screens on February 28.

Lucy Watson aims to raise £10k for PETA

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Watson has launched a new online campaign to raise £10,000 for PETA.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has thrown herself into helping animals since she turned her back on the E4 programme last year but, as well as protecting species from abuse single-handily, she’s now keen to help People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) get the money they urgently need so that they can continue the amazing work they do in saving innocent lives around the world.
Announcing her new fundraising mission in a YouTube video on her online account, the brunette beauty said: “I know that I do a bit of animal charities and I talk about it a lot but I feel like the charities themselves actually need so much money to function and to do all the good that they do and I just felt like i should set up a fundraising page. I wanted to set up a fundraising page for PETA because I think they’ve done so much for animals over the years and I think they truly are going to be a part of the journey of the future for people becoming more aware of animal cruelty and putting a stop to so many things.”
The 26-year-old beauty, who has been a vegan for a year, has set up her page on Leetchi.com and has asked her fans – as well as those who want to tackle animal cruelty – to donate as much as they can towards her ambitious target.
She wrote on her page: “Thank you for showing interest in my fundraising campaign. As you know I’m vegan and I’ve been campaigning for animal rights and working with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for a while now. I wanted get more “hands-on” in the fight against animal cruelty, hence the launch of this campaign. I’m caunting on your support! (sic).”
Leetchi.com is an easy, fast and secure online fundraising platform that allows anyone to create a ‘money pot’ in less than a minute and invite others to help finance creative projects, raise funds for charities and individuals in need, as well as buy group gifts (for birthdays, baby showers and co-workers leaving dos).
Mimi Bekhechi, Director of International Programmes, PETA said: “Lucy is a true friend to animals. She doesn’t just talk the talk but also walks the walk by refusing to buy into industries that hurt animals – whether it’s taking a stand against fur because she knows that minks go crazy inside tiny cages on fur farms, ditching down so that geese’s feathers aren’t ripped out by the fistful for a coat or duvet, choosing make-up that hasn’t been dripped into the eyes of terrified rabbits, or eating vegan meals to prevent cows, pigs, chickens, and other animals from suffering and dying for her dinner.”

Faye Brookes wants family with Gareth Gates

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes and Gareth Gates are “definitely” going to get married and having babies.
The couple have been dating for five years after they met while working on the theatre production of ‘Legally Blonde’ in 2012 and, although they’re not ready to take their relationship to the next level just yet, they’re adamant they will start a family together in the near future.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the brunette beauty said: “We’re both broody as Gareth’s sisters have both just had babies and we’ve been holding them!
“We’re definitely going to get married and have babies, we’re just not quite there yet.”
And the 32-year-old singer has already started thinking about how he’ll pop the question.
He explained: “When I do ask Faye to marry me, it’ll be a huge surprise to her. I know Faye likes surprises, so I probably wouldn’t do it at a time she’s expecting it!”
Faye’s busy career on ‘Coronation Street’, in which she portrays lesbian Kate Connor, means the pair are often separated for long periods of times and that means they have developed somewhat of a “fiery” relationship because there’s so much “passion” involved.
The 29-year-old beauty explained: “Our relationship’s always fiery because there’s so much love there and so much passion. And because we have limited time with each other each week, there’s an added pressure as we want it to be perfect. When you love each other so much, things get heightened. It’s amazing.”
But that means there’s quite a lot of “jealousy” involved in their relationship.
Gareth said: “We’re both quite needy, sensitive people and, as we don’t spend every second together, we thrive on needing each other’s attention.”
Faye added: “I think that happens within every relationship. Jealousy finds its way. We get jealous of the time we spend with other people; it’s not because we don’t trust each other. But I imagine even if we were together all day every day, we’d still have that passion.”

Julie Hesmondhalgh: Broadchurch will prove I haven't retired

OHMYGOSSIP — Julie Hesmondhalgh is sick of people asking her if she’s retired.
The 46-year-old actress is constantly asked if she is enjoying retirement since she quit ‘Coronation Street’, in which she played factory worker Hayley Cropper until her tragic death in 2014, three years ago – despite continuing to work on shows such as ‘Happy Valley’, ‘Cucumber’, ‘Banana’ and ‘Moving On’ – and is hoping her next big role in ‘Broadchurch’ will prove she’s still very much working.
She said: “Every time I go to the local supermarket, somebody says to me ‘Are you enjoying retirement?’ ‘Are you still doing your acting or have you stopped now?’ I’m hoping this might change it, I hope it makes me more profile enough for the people of Tesco Hattersley.”
And the TV star claimed she is “nervous” to watch her new role on the screens when the forthcoming series comes out on Monday (27.02.17) as she portrays a rape victim, which highlights the reality of sexual abuse.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ on Tuesday (21.02.17) she said: “I am quite nervous about it. I’m quite nervous because of the subject matter, This series of ‘Broadchurch’ isn’t about murder, it’s a series about sexual assaults so a lot of work went in to it with rape crisis and a few other sexual assaults charities to make sure we got it right, we tried to be true to women in particular who have been through this experience and so I’m quite nervous for the responsibility of that and the portrayal of that. It’s very often sexualised so very often it’s a beautiful young woman being pursued through the woods and doesn’t have any agency of their own, what I think they wanted to do with this is be very clear and show it’s an act of violence and it can happen to anybody.
“So for me to be doing it and being a middle aged woman, I think is different and an important thing to get a crossed.”

Tim Healy was in coma 'for days'

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Healy was in a coma “for days” when he fell unwell while shooting ‘Benidorm’ last year.
The 65-year-old actor – who is known for playing cross-dresser Lesley in the ITV sitcom – was left fighting for his life in a Spanish hospital last spring when he contracted a illness while filming the show but, although it was touch and go at first, his wife Joan Anderton managed to coax him out of the unconscious state by playing his son Matthew’s band The 1975’s music on loop.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper “I was in a coma for days, so obviously I don’t remember any of it. She [Jo] was in bits, as you can imagine. She said that while I was in a coma she kept playing my son’s music to me, she had his album on a loop. After a few days I started smiling and then I came round – so my son’s music brought me back to the land of the living.”
Although he’s a major character in the sitcom, Tim’s hospital dash has meant he wasn’t able to finish shooting the forthcoming series and he was subsequently written out temporarily.
He explained: “I came off set that day and then went to hospital, that was it. I don’t know how Derren [scriptwriter Derren Litten] wrote me out. I’m going to have to wait and see it like viewers. There were complications at the hospital and I ended up in intensive care.”
He may have had a brush with death less than a year ago but Tim is feeling “better now” and has already told bosses that he’s willing to return to the Spanish resort this year to shoot series 10 – providing it gets re-commissioned.
He said: “I’m feeling so much better, I’m on the mend now. It’s been a long few months and we’ve really been through the wringer as a family, but we’ve come out the other side and I’m starting to work again. There’s no holding me back. I lost about three stone, which is good but I wouldn’t recommend losing it the way I did. I’ve put a stone back on, but where I was a pit bull terrier, I’m now a sparrow. I’m a lightweight now …
“ITV and everyone at ‘Benidorm’ have been so amazing to me this last year with all my health problems. We’re a family on that show, there’s a loyalty there, so if they want me, and a 10th series is commissioned then I want to be there. I’ve got my bags packed already, I’m itching to be back there! I love that job and I love ‘Benidorm’.”
As well as Matthew, 27, Tim also has 16-year-old son Louis with his ex-wife Denise Welch.

Keanu Reeves is bursting with ideas for John Wick 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Keanu Reeves has come up with ideas for a third ‘John Wick’.
The 52-year-old Canadian actor-and-producer has reprised his role as the titular ex-hitman in ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ and its success at the box office means another sequel is on the cards.
In an interview with Empire magazine, Reeves revealed he is keen to bring the character back for another outing and has already been coming up with plot ideas.
He said: “I think the opening of the film should be Wick just trying to escape from New York. Literally trying to get off the island. Maybe he asks [Lawrence Fisburne’s character] the Bowery King for help. Maybe John Leguizamo comes and helps me out, like, ‘John, I can’t do it, you’re excommunicado!’
“Maybe the High Table shows up. And then the High Table starts firing guns. And then maybe this kind of thing starts to happen between the High Table and Continental? Maybe John is the activator of this confrontation, and perhaps there’s a war? Wouldn’t that be awesome?!”
The second instalment is produced by Thunder Road Pictures and Lionsgate studios and sees Ian McShane, Ruby Rose and Tobias Segal star alongside ‘The Matrix’ actor.
Meanwhile Reeves’ stunt-coordinator-turned-director Chad Stahelski teased the expansion of the shady assassin’s underworld.
He said: “I’d say, if we were so lucky to continue the series, I’d like to expand the world maybe another 25 per cent. But then I’d like to go deeper into the world that people already know – another 50 per cent.”
‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ is based around retired super-assassin John Wick whose quiet life gets turned upside down when Italian gangster Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio) tracks him down to claim the favour that he owes him.
Wick accepts the assignment to travel to Rome to kill D’Antonio’s sister Gianna D’Antonio (Claudia Gerini).

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington would love to play Domino in ‘Deadpool 2’.
The 40-year-old actress has been rumoured to be taking on the role of the X-Men mutant in the sequel to the 2016 smash hit movie ‘Deadpool’, and whilst nothing has been confirmed the brunette beauty has said she would love to take on the role, but understands that the production team need to cast the “right person”.
Speaking to American television programme ‘Extra’, the star said: “I don’t have anything to say about that! [The Deadpool 2 writers] know more than I do. Of course I would [want the part]! But you have to get the right person for whatever role.”
Previously, it was announced that Wade Wilson and his Lycra-clad alter ego – played by Ryan Reynolds – would be joined in the movie by two new mutants from the ‘X-Men’ universe, Domino and Cable.

Sterling K. Brown signs deal with The Predator

OHMYGOSSIP — Sterling K. Brown has signed a contract with ‘The Predator’.
The 40-year-old actor first sparked rumours he was joining the reboot of the popular 1987 sci-fi movie last month after negotiations got underway with Twentieth Century Fox but, after weeks of discussions, his agent has now confirmed to Variety that the deal has been closed and he’ll star in the movie.
Details on his character are being kept tightly under wraps for the time being but the remake is certainly set to be explosive as Thomas Jane, Keegan-Michael Key and Trevante Rhodes have also agreed to take part in the forthcoming film.
Boyd Holbrook will star alongside Olivia Munn in the movie’s lead role, which is said to involve an array of the alien hunters first made famous in the 1987 movie, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The casting of Boyd comes after the movie’s original lead actor, Benicio Del Toro, reportedly fell out with the studio over scheduling disagreements and dropped out of the production.
The actor was wanted by Fox for months and they had overcome an initial issue over his scheduling before pushing back the start date of filming to February so the star – who is to portray a villain in ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ later this year – could appear in the movie.
Black has already revealed the main character’s name in his ‘Predator’ movie will be Quinn McKenna.
He said: “The hero of the film, the name I’ve given the guy, is Quinn McKenna. Quinn McKenna. Rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?”
Joel Silver, John Davis and Lawrence Gordon will produce the film.
Much of the plot details are also being kept under lock and key by the studio and its production team but filming is expected to kick off in Vancouver this month.

Chelsee Healey 'cried' when she found out she was pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Chelsee Healey “cried” when she found out she was pregnant.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star has confirmed she and her boyfriend Jack Malloy, whom she’s been dating for three years, are expecting their first child together and, although the news came as a shock to them as they weren’t trying for a baby, she was overwhelmed with emotion when the test came back positive.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “When I saw the test was positive I started crying, but they were happy tears. It wasn’t something we’d planned but now we are having a baby we couldn’t be happier.”
Jack added: “It was definitely a shock but I was over the moon when she told me. I think it’s still sinking in, I can’t wait to be a dad.”
Although the couple are thrilled with their news, things haven’t exactly been plain sailing as they split in 2015 when Jack was jailed for 12 months for dangerous driving, using a vehicle without insurance and driving while disqualified.
The 28-year-old actress said: “It can be a bit upsetting because he’s really not [a bad boy]. Jack has been tarnished because of the mistakes he made in the past, but everyone makes mistakes. It’s a shame that people jump to conclusions about him because he’s a great guy, we’re very happy together. Jack is the only man who has ever felt like my best friend as well as my boyfriend.”
Jack received early release in March last year for good behaviour but, although they gave it their best shot, him and Chelsee broke up again a few months later.
Although she’s only just joined ‘Hollyoaks’ as Goldie McQueen, her pregnancy and impending arrival won’t affect her future on the Channel 4 soap.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This does not mean she will be leaving ‘Hollyoaks’. In fact, it signals a much more mature Chelsee, in a stable acting job in a long-running soap.
“Exec producer Bryan Kirkwood knew about her pregnancy very early on and plans are in place in terms of storylines and writing her in and out.”
Chelsee first sparked rumours she was with child in January when she was spotted sporting a baby bump at the National Television Awards in London.
