Jake Quickenden’s £5k hair transplant

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Quickenden has splashed out £5,000 on a hair transplant because he was “terrified” he’d look like Phil Mitchell.
The former ‘X Factor’ wannabe has taken drastic action to ensure she doesn’t resemble the follically-challenged ‘EastEnders’ character – who is played by Steve McFadden – after feeling “paranoid” about his tresses every time he left the house.
He said: “I was terrified that I’d look like Phil Mitchell.
“I’ve got a hairline like Dracula with two triangles at the front. It has been in my mind for five years.
“Even when I was on ‘X Factor’ it used to take me so long to get ready because I’d think it was showing.
“I was so paranoid about it, I started buying sprays for my scalp to make it dark so you couldn’t tell.”
Jake spent hours on the treatment table in Glasgow having hair follicles from the back of his head moved to the front to improve his mop because he wants to look good on his wedding day in a few years – even though he’s not officially engaged to girlfriend Danielle Fogarty.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “Even now, getting ready can take me an hour trying to make sure it’s covered up.
“If I was going out and I didn’t have my spray on me I’d get really paranoid that someone was going to say, ‘God, you’re going bald’. This had to be done — I want to get married with hair.”
Jake admitted Danielle – who he met after appearing on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with her former superbike champion father Carl Fogarty – thinks her boyfriend is “mad” to undergo the treatment when his hair looks “absolutely fine”.

Stephanie Davis to team up with domestic abuse charities

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis is planning to team up with some domestic abuse charities after he ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell was found guilty of assaulting her earlier this week.
The former ‘Beauty School Cop Out’ star is expected to be handed his sentence later this week after a judge declared him guilty of beating the 24-year-old actress during a blazing row on March 9 at her home in Merseyside, Liverpool, earlier this week.
And, following a trying few months, the brunette beauty is ready to “rebuild” her life again and is hoping to front some campaigns to raise awareness about violence.
A representative for the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star said: “We are delighted with the decision in court and are pleased that justice has been done – we await the decision on Friday and the appropriate sentencing.
“Stephanie and her family would like to thank everyone for their support throughout this process which has been stressful and has put them all under massive pressure.
“Stephanie would like to thank her family, friends and team around her who have stuck with her and helped her to begin to rebuild her life.
“Stephanie now wishes to work with domestic violence and abuse charities to raise awareness and stop what has happened to her happening to other women in the UK.”
The former ‘Over the Rainbow’ contestant broke down in tears in court on Monday (07.08.17) as she recalled how the 27-year-old reality TV star threw her around like a rag doll” because he thought she was having an affair with her pregnant best friend.
She said: “He was convinced I was having a lesbian affair with my pregnant friend, and the fireman across the road. He gets jealous. He was calling me a s**g, that I was fat and that no-one would ever want to touch me again.
“He put his thumb into the side of my gums, and that’s when I really started to panic. He was having, what I know and what Jeremy knows as, psychotic episodes.
“He took my phone off me, and I was trying to get it off him and he was ragging me everywhere. He bit the inside of my arm.”

Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes land their own TV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes have become the first ‘Love Island’ stars to land their own reality TV show.
The duo are poised to appear in a two-part series on ITV2 later this year, which will give fans of the reality dating show an opportunity to follow their lives outside the ‘Love Island’ villa.
A source said: “Kem and Chris will begin filming for their brand new show this week.
“The series will be all about their bromance and what happened from the point of them leaving the villa until now.”
And although the broadcaster has only commissioned a two-part series for Kem and Chris, there is reportedly scope for that to be extended.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “It has been commissioned as a two-part series at the moment – with the thought to develop it into a longer running show.”
Kem and Chris’ so-called bromance was a major feature of the recent series of the programme.
And bosses at ITV have been considering ways to explore their friendship in more depth for some time.
A source said in July: “Bosses don’t want to see an end to their bromance and are already brainstorming possible TV show ideas to pitch for when Love Island is over.
“Fans won’t be seeing the end of them just yet.”
Meanwhile, during their time together in the villa, Kem floated the idea of giving a special ‘Love Island’ bracelet to his close friend.
The hunky TV star – who won the series with girlfriend Amber Davies – said: “It’s so weird we’ve only known each other six, seven weeks but we sit here and we’re inseparable.
“We should really get a bracelet as well.
“I feel like Amber would be fuming if I got another one with you. Shall we get matching anklets?”

Jemma Lucy to show real her in CBB

OHMYGOSSIP — Jemma Lucy hopes ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will prove she isn’t a “fierce horrible bitch”.
The ‘Ex on the Beach’ star admits her heavily-tattooed appearance makes people think she’s “intimidating” but she is out to prove that she’s a good person underneath.
Speaking before she entered the famous abode last week, she said: “People think I’m aggressive and intimidating because of the way I look, but I’m not the fierce horrible bitch that I come across as on TV. I’ve got more issues than the average person.”
Though the housemates often struggle with being isolated away from their loved ones, it won’t be a problem with Jemma because she doesn’t have a great relationship with her family.
She admitted: “My family are old-fashioned and they associate tattoos with criminals or ‘common’ people and they just can’t accept it. My mum hates the way I look, that I haven’t been to uni and ended up modelling. I got kicked out of five schools, so studying wasn’t for me.
“She asks me when I’m going to stop but the answer is never. I love what I do and I make good money. I’m used to being on my own but I do feel lonely when I see friends with their family.
“One of my mates told me she hadn’t seen her mum for a week and was missing her, and I thought, ‘I’d love to know what that feels like’. But I accept it may not happen.”
And the 29-year-old star won’t be getting involved in any wild partying in the house as she quit alcohol in June.
She told Closer magazine: “I was losing work as I was going out so much. I don’t like the hangovers any more. You can’t get out of bed til 2pm and they leave you feeling depressed.
“I’ve replaced booze with the gym and now my whole mindset has changed. I can’t even think of one person I used to party with who is still in my life.
“I’ve learnt some lessons and I’m much more calm and positive.”

Marissa Jade evicted from Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Marissa Jade has been evicted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The former ‘Mob Wives’ star has become the first housemate to leave the infamous house during Tuesday’s (08.08.17) episode of the Channel 5 reality show.
Marissa was nominated for eviction by fellow housemate and former ‘EastEnders’ actor Shaun Williamson, and looked less than impressed as she exited the house for her interview with show host Emma Willis.
Speaking to Emma after her eviction, she said: “I wasn’t really confident with my fan base and my fan base out here.”
The brunette beauty when on to slam Shaun’s decision to hand her the killer nomination, and blamed “allies in the house” for his choice.
She added: “There wasn’t really a reason, I came to the conclusion that there were allies in the house and it was easier to target someone you didn’t know. Out of the people he didn’t know I was probably the most memorable one. I thought I handled it well but I guess it wasn’t enough.”
And the 32-year-old actress dodged questions about her relationship with ‘Ibiza Weekender’ star Jordan Davies – whom she was seen getting close to inside the house – but admitted she’d love to see him win the show.
Marissa said: “I think Jordan is going to do very well.”
However, their romance might not last long outside of the infamous house, as it was recently reported that Jordan still has feelings for his former fiancee Megan McKenna.
When asked if Jordan would take Megan back if he had the chance, ‘Ibiza Weekender’ representative Deano Baily said: “Deep down in his little Welsh heart, he’d love to as he properly loved her. But I don’t think she would.”

Judy Greer to star in Driven

OHMYGOSSIP — Judy Greer is to star in ‘Driven’.
The 42-year-old actress has signed up for the indie thriller alongside Jason Sudeikis, Lee Pace and Timothy Olyphant.
The movie follows the story of Jim Hoffman (Sudeikis), a con artist who has turned an informer for the FBI. His handler (played by Olyphant) wants to catch DeLorean (Pace) in a drug deal that became one of the craziest celebrity scandals of the 1980s. Greer is set to play Jim’s wife Ellen Hoffman, Deadline reports.
The film will be directed by Nick Hamm whilst Colin Bateman has penned the script. Tempo Productions’ Piers Tempest and Jo Bamford will produce alongside Pimienta Film Company’s Luillo Ruiz. Blue Rider Pictures’ Walter Josten is executive producing whilst Blue Rider Pictures will finance.
Hamm said previously: “All filmmakers are suckers for a good story and this is a great one – and as yet, untold. It’s about ambition, success and failure in a decade where everything began to change. It’s also an intelligent and personal drama about fighting for personal success. An edge-of-your-seat, character-driven and comic wink to the world of power suits, discos and vice. Above all, it’s damn good fun.”
Whilst Tempest shared in a statement: “Jason and Lee pair in the main roles as a charismatic and risk-taking duo. And we’re excited to expand upon a great filmmaking partnership between Colin and Nick formed on The Journey, in which they were so adept at creating an enticing and funny story of sworn enemies making peace possible.”
Filming for ‘Driven’ is set to begin in September in Puerto Rico.

James Gunn thinking about future of Guardians of the Galaxy

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has confirmed the script for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ is already “in the works”.
Following the successful release of the first two Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, the screenwriter-and-director has been busy working on the next installment and has been in touch with Marvel boss Kevin Feige about the future of the characters.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, Gunn – who helmed the two first movies – said: “Those scripts are already in the works. Kevin and I talk about it all the time; we just had a meeting today.
“Discussing what is the next iteration of cosmic characters and where are the characters that we’ve already created going to go in the next batch of films.”
‘Avengers 4’ marks the end of Phase 4 of the current MCU and will see many actors leave the successful franchise.
At the end of the second ‘Guardians’ movie, fans were treated to a post-credit sequence which introduced a new team including Starhawk (Sylvester Stallone), Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Krugarr and Mainframe (voiced by Miley Cyrus).
And Gunn would like to develop these characters even more.
He said: “I’m definitely interested in the direction that these characters are headed and their roles in the Marvel Universe.
“These are older characters and more criminal than our Guardians. So we’re focusing on that.”
Gunn teased at E3 in June that he is planning on making a change to his own continuity because he has come up with a plot idea that requires it but he just hopes he won’t upset fans.
The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as Rocket and Vin Diesel as fan favourite Groot.
The Guardians will be joining the rest of the Avengers in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’ as they go head-to-head against intergalactic supervillain Thanos.

Ethan Hawke teases another Before film

OHMYGOSSIP — Ethan Hawke has hinted there could be a fourth instalment of the ‘Before’ film series.
The 46-year-old actor – who has played Jesse in the movie franchise since 1995 – has teased there could be one more movie about his and Celine’s journey together.
Asked if he thinks there’ll be another movie, he said: “I don’t know. I would have said after the second there was definitely going to be a third one but I do feel complete in that the first one starts with the older couple arguing on the train and by the end of the third one we’ve become that couple.
“If it were to continue it would change shape. It would be something else. Julie, Rick and I might work together again, we might revisit those characters but it’ll need a new burst of energy. I don’t know what it is.
“We’re not allowed to think about it until five years after – that’s how we’ve done it every time. Waking Life was five years after Before Sunrise. and Before Midnight we met five years after Before Sunset. So we’re gonna meet five years after the release of Before Midnight. talk about it and see where we wind up.”
And Ethan admits the movie series has been very important to him as he spent so much time of his life on it.
Speaking about what movies have stayed with him the longest, he added to The Independent newspaper: “The Before trilogy … Boyhood and the Before trilogy are deeply connected to my soul for lack of a better word. I’ve worked on Jesse, which is the main character from the Before movies, at nine-year intervals.
“I started working on that character when I was 25 and the last time when I was 41, so it’s been with me and I’ve gotten to put a lot of my own life into those movies. Boyhood is only short a couple of years – it was 12 years working on that character. So those movies are part of me in a way that other movies are one window.”

Joseph Gatt to star in live-action remake of Dumbo

OHMYGOSSIP — Joseph Gatt has been cast in Tim Burton’s live-action remake of the Disney animation ‘Dumbo’.
The 42-year-old ‘Game of Thrones’ actor will play a character named Skellig alongside Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Michael Keaton, Deadline reports.
Burton appeared in a short video at Disney’s D23 expo to announce the start of the live-action production and revealed details of the star-studded cast, which will also feature Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins. The movie will also star Roshan Seth, Sharon Rooney and Douglas Reith.
An official plot synopsis for the film revealed Colin will play a former circus star, Holt Farrier, whose life is turned upside down when he returns from the war and is enlisted by a circus owner (DeVito) to care for a newborn elephant with oversized ears.
The circus is struggling, but when Holt’s children – Parker and Hobbins – discover the elephant can fly, entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and aerial artist Colette (Green) team up to make the creature a star.
The movie – which will also include animated elements – will all be filmed in England and is currently scheduled for release in the US on March 29, 2019.
‘Dumbo’ is one of the classic Disney films, which tells the story of a ostracised baby elephant who strives to prove his worth after he is mocked for having big ears.
For the live-action adaptation, Ehren Kruger has written the script and is also producing alongside ‘Tron: Legacy’s’ Justin Springer.
This project joins Disney’s ever growing franchise of live-action reboots which has seen ‘Maleficent’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘The Jungle Book’ return to screens and most recently, box office smash ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
Among the other remakes being lined up are ‘The Lion King’, ‘Mulan’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’.

Woodard, 64, will play Simba’s mother Sarabi and Kani, 73, will be taking on the role of the wise baboon Rafiki, who advises Mufasa, the king of Pride Rock, The Wrap reports.
The two actors are best known for the roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

John Oliver, 40, will also join the cast, alongside Donald Glover who will play Simba and James Earl Jones, who will be reprising his role as Mufasa in the cartoon classic.

Amazon acquires rights for Lucy and Desi

OHMYGOSSIP — Amazon has bought the rights to the Lucille Ball biopic ‘Lucy and Desi’.
Cate Blanchett has been cast in the lead role in the movie, which has been written by Aaron Sorkin, but producers Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch are still seeking to recruit an actor to play Ball’s husband Desi Arnaz, according to Deadline Hollywood.
The film, which attracted Blanchett and Sorkin in 2015, will tell the story of Ball’s 20-year marriage to Desi Arnaz.
Their relationship led to the creation of the hugely successful sitcom ‘I Love Lucy’, with Ball winning four Emmy Awards for her performance.
‘Lucy and Desi’ will also feature the two children from their marriage, Lucie Luckinbill and Desi Arnaz Jr., while it has also secured the rights to use memoirs written by Ball and Arnaz.
Meanwhile, Blanchett recently admitted she can’t believe she’s playing Marvel’s first female on-screen villain.
The Academy Award-winning actress conceded she is amazed she has been given the chance to portray Hela, the studio’s first female villain, in ‘Thor: Ragnarok’.
She said: “I didn’t realise I was inhabiting the first female Marvel villain onscreen. I thought, ‘Surely not … well, no actually that’s true.’
“There’s been many, many, many [female villains] in the comic books, but they’ve been a little tardy in bringing them to the screen, so hopefully there will be a lot more villainesses.”
Blanchett, 48, was convinced she should take the role after she found out her character was responsible for destroying Thor’s favourite weapon, his iconic hammer.
She said: “That had me at ‘hello’ actually. I thought that was really exciting that they were prepared to destroy Thor’s power in the first few minutes. It’s a nice entrance.”

Ruth Negga joins Ad Astra

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Negga has joined ‘Ad Astra’.
The 35-year-old actress will appear alongside the likes of Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones in the sci-fi adventure movie about a guy who tries to find his missing scientist father who poses a threat to mankind.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Negga’s part in the motion picture is being kept under wraps.
James Gray will direct the film from a script he wrote with Ethan Gross, and Pitt is among the producers.
Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Rodrigo Teixeira, Anthony Katagas and Gray will also co-produce the project.
Marc Butan, Lourenco Sant’Anna, Sophie Mas, Yu Dong, Jeffrey Chan, Anthony Mosawi and Paul Conway will executive produce the movie.
Negga – who has appeared in films such as ‘Capital Letters’, ‘Isolation’ and ‘Breakfast on Pluto’ – recently admitted she always dreamed of becoming an actress but didn’t even appear in a school play during her younger years.
She said: “I didn’t act as a child. I just knew I wanted to do it.
“No, I just watched movies. I don’t know how to explain it.”
The star – who has been in a relationship with Dominic Cooper for seven years – has insisted she is really “lucky” to have become an actress.
She added: “I feel very lucky to be doing what I’m doing, like all art, there’s an unquantifiable aspect to this job, and there is a huge amount of luck involved.
“But luck is a funny thing; good or bad, it plays an important part in everything.”

Doctor Who to be vegan?

OHMYGOSSIP — Doctor Who may become a vegan.
Jodie Whittaker has made history after she was cast as the first female to become the time-travelling alien in the sci-fi series and now PETA – an animal rights organisation – has urged the new show runner Chris Chibnall to make her an animal activist too.
In an open letter, PETA’s UK director Elisa Allen said: “We at PETA – like so many devoted ‘Doctor Who’ fans worldwide – are excited to see Jodie Whittaker step into the Doctor’s shoes. But before she begins to navigate her way through space and time, we have a request we hope you’ll consider: make the character vegan.”
The organisation believe a meat-eating Time Lord goes against the show’s “central message of love for life in all its forms” and listed a umber of “tasty alternatives” on offer for the iconic character to eat that will benefit her health and the environment.
Ms. Allen explained: “Vegan foods have really come a long way since the nut cutlets of the Sixth Doctor’s time – there are tasty options readily available to suit every appetite (even if that’s faux-fish fingers dunked in soya custard).
“We hope the new Doctor will join us in taking a stand for animals and inspire others to switch to a healthy, Earth-friendly, life-saving diet.”
Meanwhile, Jodie, 35, was overcome with nerves when she found out that Chibnall – who she worked with on ‘Broadchurch’ – had chosen her to play the titular character in the forthcoming series of the sci-fi drama because she was worried she’d let the cat out of the bag before they’d made their big announcement in July.
She said: “I didn’t know details but I knew there was going to be an attempt at a really brilliant reveal. And I did not, I have got super bad paranoia, so I was like, ‘Did I tell you that? Sorry. Was I supposed to tell you that?’ You know that awful thing of ‘Was I supposed to tell you that?’ Obviously I’ve had five years of ‘Broadchurch’ to know, ‘OK, I’m not sure if I told you that, but if I did, don’t tell anyone…’ I also had a massive panic about it as I was a bit like I can’t remember what I was told I’m not allowed to say…”

Kacey Ainsworth was groomed as a child

OHMYGOSSIP — Kacey Ainsworth was groomed as a child.
The 48-year-old actress – who is best known for playing Little Mo in ‘EastEnders’ between 2000 and 2006 – has thrown her support behind the Never Too Late To Tell campaign after she was a victim of sexual grooming by an older actor.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (08.08.17), Kacey said: “I started work in the 1970s, I was eight at the time when I started working. What I realise now is that paedophiles work in plain sight. Maybe tickle you, single you out. And this is kind of what happened to me. It was in a production and it was very inappropriate what he was doing. I felt it was inappropriate at the time but because it was in front of everybody it kind of normalised it. The tickling was inappropriate and then he would take me to more and more private places. And that’s what happens. It’s predatory, it’s incremental.
“You kind of don’t understand what they’re doing and when things start moving forward you then freeze. You don’t know what to do, you don’t know who to tell and you don’t know what to say. I was starting puberty. They were touching areas that were growing. That felt odd and weird.”
The actress admitted the grooming and sexual touching didn’t stop until a member of the production crew got involved.
In June, the actress appeared on the panel show and revealed she was joining the campaign but that was before she openly admitted to being a victim.
For her role as Little Mo in the BBC soap the actress won three awards all in 2002.

Sam Thompson wants to take Amelia Lily on date after CBB

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Thompson wants to take Amelia Lily on a date when they leave the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ hunk has only just split from his long-term girlfriend Tiffany Watson and, although the pair were adamant their separation was purely a “break”, he’s already started moving on as he’s hoping to treat his fellow housemate to a romantic dinner when they both leave the infamous abode.
Speaking in the diary room after giving Amelia a massage, he said: “I think she’s flirting with me. It would be nice if she did flirt with me. We’ve got such a good friendship and she is so cool. Maybe [I will] keep things on a level in here and on the outside take her for a drink or something.”
He then quipped: “Maybe ask her father for her hand in marriage!”
Sam has made no secret of the fact he’s developed a soft spot for the former ‘X Factor’ contestant but has stopped himself from making a move on her because he’s only just split with Tiffany.
He explained to Jordan Davies recently: “It’s really complicated for me.
“This is on the back of a three-year relationship. I would almost love to rebound with someone and say, ‘I’m done now, we are ex girlfriend and ex boyfriend’ but Amelia is better than a rebound. Amelia is the kind of girl I would actually date and like.”
However, the fact that the 25-year-old hunk has developed feelings for Amelia hasn’t gone down too well with Chad Johnson as he too has started to fall for the blonde beauty’s charm.
He said: “I feel like you like Sam, so why the f**k did we go on a date? You like Sam. That’s fine.”
Amelia hit back: “I don’t like anybody in that way! I didn’t come in here looking for love or anything.”

Candice Brown’s grandmother inspired cookbook

OHMYGOSSIP — Candice Brown’s grandmother has inspired her new recipe book.
The former ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner – who walked away with the crown in 2016 – has just launched her new tome ‘Comfort: Delicious Bakes And Family Treats’ and has admitted her elderly relative would be so “embarrassed” by the fact she’s incorporated some of her “perfect” recipes into it.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, she said: “She’d be so embarrassed to be in there. I haven’t changed her recipes because they’re perfect.
“I’m very proud and quite emotional to see those in there.”
The glamorous chef has a distinctive trademark that comes from her love of comfort food and insists there’s no gluten-free, sugar-free, or clean living, pumped into the book as this goes against the principles of what she has grown up knowing.
She explained: “Comfort is what I love. It’s what I love to eat; it’s what my family love to eat and it’s what I’ve been taught to do. The recipes have memories attached to them, and I’d eat every single one of them. I put everything into this. I tested and wrote everything myself. It’s my voice, it’s me down the market in my own clothes walking my dog, having done my own make-up.”
Meanwhile, since winning the show, Candice’s career has rocketed and she can’t believe the success she’s had off the back of the culinary series.
She added: “I’m having the time of my life at the moment.
“It’s crazy, but amazing and makes cry a little bit. I did not expect any of this. And it was all because of ‘Bake Off’. It was the most amazing time.”
