Jane Horrocks reveals OCD hindered her moviemaking experience

OHMYGOSSIP — Jane Horrocks’ OCD hindered her moviemaking experience.
The 60-year-old actress – who is best known for playing Edina Monsoon’s useless PA Bubble in the classic BBC sitcom ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ – has battled with the disorder for decades, which has meant she struggles to accept imperfections. but has now admitted she wished she wasn’t “so precious about things”.
She told the Metro newspaper’s SixtySeconds Column: “When I was young and doing a film, I’d be obsessed with which take I liked best, I suppose that is all part of my OCD condition.
“I’d have to go to the director and say, ‘I liked one, there and six please, can you make a note of that?’, and it was such a waste of time because of course he or she wasn’t going to pay attention.
“And after a day’s filming, I used to write a diary, with reams about the job I was doing.
“Now I write hardly anything about my work in my diary. When I do a show now, I just put, ‘Show went well, it was alright’.
“I wrote more about my life and going out and having fun.”
The ‘Chicken Run’ star was also quizzed about whether she felt she was being offered different roles compared to when she was younger, to which Jane emphasised that wasn’t the case.
She explained: “I’m still often very quirky, off-the-wall characters and I’m happy as long as there’s a certain level of complexity to them, that you can invest something interesting in them.
“When I was studying at Rada [drama school], I was always given then old people parts, so when I left, I didn’t really know how to play a young person, because I’d been playing 78-year-olds!
“So, I think I’ve always played those character roles – I’ve never been the pretty young thing or the love interest – and in hindsight I’m really glad for that, because I think it has given me a longer and more varied career.”

Sophie Kasaei almost died after botched Brazilian bum lift

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Kasaei almost died after a botched Brazilian bum lift led to a life-threatening abscess.
The 34-year-old ‘Geordie Shore’ star flew to Turkey 10 years ago to undergo the procedure – which transfers fat from other parts of the body into the buttocks – because she wanted to have a body “like Kim Kardashian” but the op left her with complications that landed her in hospital in need of life-saving surgery.
In a video posted on TikTok, she explained: “As someone who didn’t really have many curves, I was like this is amazing. I can look like Kim Kardashian.
“My bum wasn’t the best, but looking back now, I wish I’d just got filler or went to the gym.”
After having the BBL in Turkey, Sophie was concerned about the bruising as well as “holes” on her back and what looked like “burns marks” but she decided to give her body time to heal.
However, she started to experience pain and ended up in hospital during a holiday in Mexico. She added: “I started getting a pain in my left bum cheek. I thought, ‘This can’t be right. I am in agony.’
“I was in Mexico at the time, and I actually went to a hospital there. They put me on a drip and started panicking. Everyone was running around.”
Sophie was told she had a life-threatening abscess and decided to fly home to the UK for treatment.
She went on: “I told them to book me on a flight home because if I’m going to die, I want to die with my family around me. So off I was back to Newcastle. I went straight to hospital. I had to stay in there overnight, wake up in the morning and go straight into surgery for them to drain this abscess growing on my bum.
“They drained one litre of puss. It was so traumatic. Getting it packed was the worst pain in the world – I screamed the hospital down. It was just hell. I felt ill, I couldn’t walk, my whole leg was numb. I couldn’t even sit on it. It was just absolute agony.”
She needed months of treatment and was left with a “horrendous scar” which looked like she’d suffered a “shark attack” and Sophie insisted the BBL was just not worth it.
Sophie added that she didn’t get the results she was hoping for after the operation anyway and as well as the health scare and the scar, it also prompted her to put on weight – so she’s warned other young women to think twice before going under the knife.

Joanna Page almost quit acting before landing ‘Gavin and Stacey’ role

OHMYGOSSIP — Joanna Page was on the verge of giving up acting before landing her part in ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
The 46-year-old actress quickly became a household name after starring as Stacey Shipman in the beloved BBC Three comedy, but before getting the role, Joanna had not landed a part in the industry for over a year, and was on the brink of throwing the towel on her screen career.
She told BBC Radio 2’s ‘Tracks of my Years’ show: “I remember going in and saying, ‘I’m going to have to have the day off because I’ve got an audition for this show called ‘Gavin and Stacey’.
“I’d read it and I just thought, ‘This character is me. I’ve got to get this. If I don’t get this, that’s my lot’.”
Joanna also reflected on meeting Ruth Jones, 57 – who wrote ‘Gavin and Stacey’ with James Corden, 45, as well as playing Nessa in the series – and said she instantly knew she was perfect for the part of Stacey.
She said: “Apparently (Ruth) went in and went, ‘Well I’ve just met Stacey’.”
It was recently rumoured ‘Gavin and Stacey’ would be returning for another Christmas special, five years after the last festive edition.
And it was claimed that Netflix was trying to outbid the BBC for rights to the show, though Ruth has since dismissed the story as nothing but hearsay.
During an appearance on RTE Radio 1, she said: “It’s sadly a rumour… all I can say is, if there was something to say on that front, James and I would happily announce it, we would.
“Apparently there’s a bidding war going on between the BBC and Netflix and I love it because it says ‘a source says’, who is this source?”
Ruth added the story may have come after she was pictured having lunch with James following him finishing his run in the US presenting ‘The Late Late Show’.
She said: “Then the next thing is, ‘Oh my god they must be writing more ‘Gavin and Stacey’, which is lovely.
“It’s lovely that people are so desperate for it because imagine if it was the opposite and were like ‘Oh, god, you’re not bringing that back again.’”

Lord Sugar ‘leaves Apprentice co-stars wetting themselves with gags’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lord Alan Sugar is said to leave his colleagues on ‘The Apprentice’ “wetting” themselves with laughter at his jokes.
The business mogul, 76, is famed for his grouchy persona on the reality show, but his boardroom aide Tim Campbell, 46, insists he keeps everyone laughing with his gags.
He told the Daily Star: “Sometimes me and Karren are wetting ourselves about the jokes he tells in there. And we aren’t ones to be canned in laughter or laughing just to keep him happy.
“The reality is Lord Sugar’s humour is one of his traits. You have got to remember, he’s been one of the greatest UK salespeople for generations.
“And you don’t get that way if you don’t know how to crack a bit of a joke and have a bit of a laugh.”
Tim’s co-star Karren Brady, 54, added about her TV boss’ soft side: “Lord Sugar is great fun. You might not get it from the TV show, but he’s very witty.”
Some fans are convinced Lord Sugar hires writers to pen gags for him to say on the show – but Karren has insisted all his jokes are off the cuff.
She added: “Lots of people don’t realise that the show is not scripted. There’s no autocue, there’s no rehearsal, there’s no retake.
“I think that comes down to it being authentic. You are watching it as it happened.
“Nothing is set up about it, there’s no script, you really are a fly on the wall as to what happens.”
Despite Lord Sugar’s colleagues insisting they find him hilarious, critics have said his gags on the latest series of BBC One’s ‘Apprentice’ are morbidly unfunny.
One of the latest episodes saw contestants challenged to spend as little as possible on a shopping list of puzzles that included Jersey wonders – a kind of knotted doughnut, as well as shucked oysters.
Lord Sugar joked about one team walking straight past a jersey on a market stall three times: “Never mind Jersey wonders. Stevie Wonder would have noticed that.”
When he heard one of the contestants had let one of his castmates do the negotiating for the oysters during the task, Lord Sugar quipped: “That was very unshellfish of you.”

Brian Cox nearly split with wife after his career went stratospheric

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian Cox’s actress wife says they almost broke up after his career took off and hers stalled “overnight”.
The 77-year-old ‘Succession’ star’s partner Nicole Ansari, 55, who became his third wife in 2002, also said his cruel character in the HBO drama “put her off” her husband.
German mum-of-two Nicole told The Sunday Times: “I had a great career before I met Brian, but when I moved to London with him his career took off and mine stopped overnight. We almost broke up.
“Instead we got married and I conceived our son on our wedding night.”
She added the night they married she felt a “presence” and heard a “little boy’s voice saying, ‘Hi. I’m Jonathan.’
Nicole said: “I later told Brian and he said, ‘(Rubbish.) But nine months later our son Orson Jonathan was born.”
Turning to how she found his ‘Succession’ media mogul character Logan Roy “vile”, the actress added:
She added: “I fell in love with a Shakespearean actor, not a TV star. Now he is mainstream and women are flocking.
“I knew he was sexy before the rest of the world. But it worries me women find the vile toxic bully Logan Roy sexy. It totally puts me off.
“I’m not going to sugarcoat it, ‘Succession’ didn’t mean that much to me.”
Brian and Nicole git hitched in 2002 after they met in Hamburg in 1990 while he was on a world tour of ‘King Lear’.
Nicole’s comments about women “flocking” to Brian come after he admitted his fame due to ‘Succession’ has led to him losing his privacy.
He told The Guardian: “I’ve lost my anonymity, and I’ve realised that was what was important to me.
“I haven’t ever experienced anything like this. I mean, you ask for success in your work, and you get it, and then you have to deal with the consequences.
“I’ve always valued my privacy, but it’s gone. I’ve been very lucky that I’ve had it for so long.
“You know, I’ve been doing this for over 60 years. And finally it’s over.”

Ralf Little wants Sheridan Smith on ‘Death in Paradise’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ralf Little wants Sheridan Smith to join ‘Death In Paradise’.
The 44-year-old actor, who plays DI Neville Parker in the programme, had worked with Sheridan, 42, on ‘The Royale Family’ and ‘Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps’. Now, Ralf has revealed he is keen to see the actress join the BBC drama.
Speaking to The Sun’s TV Showbiz column, he said: “She’s a fabulous actor, an old friend – a good friend – and it would be amazing to have her.”
‘Death In Paradise’ has featured many guest stars over the years, including Martin Compston, Neil Morrissey and Adjoa Andoh, and Ralf is hoping to “add Sheridan to the list”.
He continued: “We’ve had a lot of British actors on board over the years, to the point where my co-star Don Warrington didn’t remember me being a guest star in season two, when I first started playing Neville Parker.
“It would be great to add Sheridan to the list.”
The show’s thirteenth season debuted earlier this month, and Neville returned to Saint Marie to investigate the assassination of Commissioner Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington).
Looking at the future of his character, Ralf admitted he had “no idea” what the ultimate fate of the DI would be when a fan asked what was in store for Neville.
During an Instagram Q and A session, he said: “I don’t know. I have no idea, I’m not gonna swerve answering the question. I don’t know. I don’t know which direction they’re gonna go in. I have honestly no idea and they haven’t told me. Maybe they had no idea yet. I, like the rest of you, are going to be just sitting and asking, ‘Who’s next?’ Who knows?’ No idea. But we’ll see what happens.”
The actor also teased what fans could expect from the new series, and warned that more “challenges” stood in the way of the Saint Marie police force.
He explained: “We’re going to try and pick up with the tone of the end of last year. We really tried to push the boat out in series 12. It was not just a mystery every week and solving the mystery and moving on, but really trying find challenges for the main characters, to try and find things for them to overcome, emotional things.”

Paul King is writing script for Fred Astaire biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul King is “working on a script” for Tom Holland’s Fred Astaire biopic.
The ‘Wonka’ filmmaker is collaborating with ‘Billy Elliot’ screenwriter Lee Hall on a movie about the Hollywood film and dance icon and his tapping into the scribe’s knowledge of the era to craft the story.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Paul said: “We’re working on a script right now. I’m working on a script with Lee Hall, who’s a great, great, great writer, a great screenwriter.
“And he’s incredibly well versed in the era and he’s historically, incredibly knowledgeable as well. Clearly, he knows his dance inside and out. So, I’ve been working with him and learning a huge amount.
“But again, it’s like we’re trying to find the story in the script and hopefully something will happen. But, we’ll see.”
The film was first announced in 2021 and is said to centre on the relationship between Fred and his sister Adele Astaire.
The pair were inseparable for more than 20 years and moved from a Midwestern vaudeville act in the early part of the 20th century to Broadway and London’s West End in the 1920s.
Adele was initially the face of the act but was eventually eclipsed by Fred’s consummate stage skills. The duo parted in 1932 when she married, which came as a blow to Fred.
However, it turned his focus toward Hollywood dance musicals and subsequently set him on the path to cinematic legend.
Tom – who started his acting career in ‘Billy Elliot the Musical’ in the West End – revealed last year that he hoped to wear his “tap shoes” again but had no definitive confirmation that the biopic was going ahead.
The ‘Spider-Man’ actor said: “The movie is being developed. Scripts are being written. Meetings are being had. Like anything in the film industry, whether it happens or not is another thing, but we are working towards it as if it is happening.
“Hopefully, we can find a way to tell the story in the way it needs to be told. I’d love to put my tap shoes on again to portray that character, but we’ll have to wait and see.”

‘We’re definitely trying to find the next thing’: Glen Powell eyes new movie with Sydney Sweeney

OHMYGOSSIP — Glen Powell is planning to work on another movie with Sydney Sweeney.
The pair starred together in the hit romantic comedy ‘Anyone But You’ and are looking to keep their partnership going by collaborating on a new picture.
Glen told Variety at the SAG Awards on Saturday (24.02.24): “When you find somebody that you really jive with, Sydney is so easy to work with and so fun. We’re definitely trying to find the next thing. Please send us all the scripts you got. It’s been really wonderful to read a lot.”
The 35-year-old actor added: “Sydney reads everything, by the way, and in record time. She’s the fastest reader I think I’ve ever met. It takes me a little longer, but we’re reading everything and just trying to see what makes sense, what we can turn into something that audiences are going to respond to.”
Powell’s next big role is in the tornado disaster film ‘Twisters’ – a sequel to the 1996 picture ‘Twister’ – and he is looking forward to the public being able to see the movie, which is being directed by Lee Isaac Chung and also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, when it is released this summer.
He said: “(I) met with Lee Isaac Chung and met with Daisy Edgar-Jones and had a great chemistry with Daisy and she’s sensational and we just have such a great vibe in this movie. The movie, just the texture of it, the fun of it, the world, it’s going to be a ride. It’s really good. It’s nuts.
“We have (Steven) Spielberg’s and Chris Nolan’s visual effects and special effects team, we have the best of the best in terms of department heads on this thing. And everybody has to work together and we’re out in the middle of Oklahoma with big jet engines and wind machines and destroying towns. The movie is going to be spectacular.”

Lee Mack brags ‘brilliant’ gags helped make ‘The 1% Club’ a hit

OHMYGOSSIP — Lee Mack has boasted his “brilliant” jokes helped make ‘The 1% Club’ a hit.
The comic, 55, is hosting a third series of the show on STV and said even though he can’t take credit for the popular format on the IQ-testing series he thinks his gags while making it were top quality.
He tells Richard Herring, 56, on the comic’s ‘RHLSTP’ podcast: “I can’t take any credit for it because it’s not my format.
“On the pilot episode I said, ‘There is no way these 100 contestants are going to laugh at my jokes, they will be too busy trying to win the £100,000.
“I didn’t get any laughs, but I did think, ‘This is a good format as my jokes are so brilliant.’
“They have cast people who are bright and fun and, even though you think about serious quizzers doing it, no same person will get it right every time.”
Despite fronting family-friendly shows such as ‘The 1% Club’ and his ‘Not Going Out’ sitcom, Lee has hit out at cancel culture by saying too many jokes are being judged for their content instead of their context.
He told Gabby Logan’s ‘Mid Point’ podcast: “In principle, there isn’t anything that you can’t do a joke about, nothing.
“But for me, the joke has to be funnier than it is shocking.
“So the more shocking the subject matter the better the joke has to be.
“And there are some subject matters that are so shocking no one is good enough to think of a joke that is funnier than it is shocking.
“So in principle you can do a joke about anything, but in practice you can’t because no-one’s that good.
“You could go, ‘What about this horrific event, would you be able to do a joke?’ In principle, yes.
“But I could spend two years trying to write a magic joke about it that was more funny than shocking, and I’d never achieve it.
“And that’s the problem. Sometimes comedians are doing jokes that just aren’t funny enough, because they have to be even funnier when it’s that shocking… intention seems to have gone out the window now. It doesn’t matter what someone’s intention was, it’s what you did that matters.
“I think that’s a shame. I think the intention of why you said something is the most important thing.”

Boyzone set to turn buy-up of ‘humble’ football club into TV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Boyzone are set to turn their purchase of a “humble” football club into a TV series.
Shane Lynch, 47, Ronan Keating, 46, and Keith Duffy, 49, from the group are involved in the project – as well as 43-year-old former Westlife member Brian McFadden – after they purchased National League North club Chorley FC in Lancashire.
Shane told The Sun: “We’ve just bought Chorley Football Club. We start filming a documentary on that pretty much next week.
“It’s about getting the club into a financially successful place, to get the players paid well and to get the whole kind of town back in love with one of the oldest football clubs in the world.”
The project will see the Irish singers follow in the footsteps of ‘Deadpool’ star Ryan Reynolds, 46, and his actor friend Rob McElhenney, 46, whose ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ show is coming to Disney+ for a third series, which charts their story of buying League Two football team Wrexham.
Shane added about how Boyzone would love to replicate the pair’s success with Wrexham: “They have a big stadium – they have awesome stuff. We’re nowhere near that.
“We’re way down in the leagues. We’re a humble, hand-to-mouth club.
“The boys, all the players, have got jobs, they’re not full-time. We’re trying to get them out of that and get them full-time.
“It’s all to do with fitness levels, really, because some of the teams we’ve played over the last couple of weeks, the only thing that’s let us down is fitness. “But they’re great players, a great team. We’re third in the league at the moment.
“We were eighth I think just before Christmas so we’re popping up there and it’s looking good.”

‘I’ve never said I was done with it’: Doug Bradley open to Pinhead comeback

OHMYGOSSIP — Doug Bradley would consider a return as Pinhead in the ‘Hellraiser’ franchise.
The 69-year-old actor has starred as the iconic antagonist in eight movies in the horror series and explained that he has never “retired” from the part despite being replaced by Jamie Clayton in the 2022 reboot.
In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Doug said: “I certainly never say never. I’ve never said I was done with it. I’ve never said I’m retired from it.
“I’m sensible about these things, too. I was in my mid-30s when I first played the character, and I was just turning 50 when I played him the last time. I ain’t in that age range anymore. I’m now in my 70th year, and to some extent I think special effects makeup is a younger man’s game.”
Doug explained that his dream return would be as “an older, darker Pinhead” in an adaptation of Clive Barker’s 2015 novel ‘The Scarlet Gospels’, which focused on the end of the demonic Cenobite.
He said: “If we did that, we could maybe present an older Pinhead to be aware of the fact that I am the age that I am, that time and gravity does what time and gravity does.
“An older, darker Pinhead would intrigue me, one not so much in love with the flippant one-liners and the witty comebacks and so forth.”
Doug revealed that he had mixed emotions about Clayton’s portrayal of Pinhead in the reboot but he refused to place any blame on the actress.
He explained: “She wasn’t really asked to do very much. There were some wonderful shots. There’s the distance shot where she’s standing on water outside the house; beautiful, beautiful shot. But I felt she wasn’t asked to be terribly proactive thereafter.
“So I was excited, intrigued, and ultimately a little bit disappointed – but not by Jamie’s performance at all.”

Florence Pugh was overjoyed to work with Zendaya on Dune: Part Two

OHMYGOSSIP — Florence Pugh says it was “heavenly” having the opportunity to work with Zendaya on ‘Dune: Part Two’.
The 28-year-old actress portrays Princess Irulan in Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi sequel and was delighted to be able to work alongside the ‘Spider-Man’ actress, who reprises the role of Chani in the film.
Florence told Digital Spy: “It was heavenly. We’ve admired each other for a while. By the time we got to meet, it was well due time. Yes, we didn’t get to act with each other a lot, but it doesn’t matter. When you work with people that you admire, people that you look up to and wanna see how they work, it’s always a wonderful experience. You hope it’s wonderful, and in this case it was.”
The ‘Oppenheimer’ star added: “And it made us excited for the next bit, potentially, whether that’s in this storyline or outside of the storyline. When you get to do press with someone, it just makes you even more eager to watch them work again and understand what it would be like to work with them again. So we definitely built quite the appetite after this press tour because we’re just desperate. Somebody, write us something!”
Florence has joined a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson and Austin Butler and explained that her biggest task in the role was “not to muck it up”.
She said: “My biggest challenge? Not to muck it up! No pressure. There isn’t a biggest challenge when you’re given the best gift, which is to work with people that are brilliant.
“The biggest challenge is making sure that you are up to speed with their brilliance, that you match exactly what enticed you about the first movie. Which, for any actor that admires at least one person on set is always a big ask to make sure that you keep your cool, but when everybody on set is amazing, not only you’re trying to keep your own cool, but you’re making sure that it was the right decision that you were cast.”

‘Dancing on Ice’ may face axe as show’s ratings continue to plunge

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dancing on Ice’ is said to be facing the axe as its ratings continue to plummet.
The ITV series, presented by Holly Willoughby, 43, and Stephen Mulhern, 46, had its smallest ever audience on 28 January, with 2.9 million people tuning in – a fraction of the 12 million viewers watching during the programme’s heyday.
As well as the poor viewing figures, judges Jayne Torvill, 66, and Christopher Dean, 65, announced their planned retirement from the show earlier this month, with ITV reportedly now weighing up whether the next ‘DoI’ series could be the last.
A TV source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “‘Dancing on Ice’ faces an uncertain future.
“The ratings are low for a big weekend show and without Torvill and Dean putting in their performances, this could be the end of the show.”
‘DoI’ is also incredibly costly for ITV, with the network having to shell out for the 12 celebrity contestants as well as the professional skaters and hosts.
The source added to the Mirror: “It is an incredibly expensive show to make. It only works if it gets a big audience.”
However, a show spokesperson has insisted that the programme “remains a popular format”.
They said: “‘Dancing on Ice’ remains a popular format for us, having launched with 4.2 million viewers”.
The show recently saw former Olympic ski jumper Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards leave after judge Christopher Dean opted to send him home.
Previously, Eddie dismissed claims that his skiing experience would translate into skating skills.
He told MailOnline: “I’m a really, really bad skater at the moment. It’s a completely different sport.
“When I ski I automatically get myself into a certain stance. That stance is not a good stance for skating, which is why I keep falling on my face, because I’m used to arching my back and going forwards.”
Despite this, Eddie insisted he only took party in the programme because he wanted to “have fun”.
He explained: “I used to be very competitive but, probably over the last 20 years, I’m just not competitive anymore – nowhere near like I used to be. I just go out and enjoy it and have fun doing things.”

Netflix ‘looking to adapt One Day sequel’

OHMYGOSSIP — Netflix is reportedly in talks to adapt a ‘One Day’ follow-up.
The romantic drama series, based on 57-year-old writer David Nicholls’ 2009 novel of the same name, has been a smash-hit for Netflix, watched by 15.2 million people since its release on 8 February – and the streamer is now said to be looking to adapt the author’s new book, ‘You Are Here’, which is set for release on 23 April.
An industry insider told the Daily Mirror: “Netflix bosses knew they were on to a winner with ‘One Day’.
“They are in the process of signing a new deal for David’s next release, which promises to be just as much of a tear jerker.”
‘One Day’ stars Ambika Mod, 28, and Leo Woodall, 27, as Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew, and follows the pair as their relationship develops after meeting for the first time on their final day at the University of Edinburgh in 1988.
Despite the show being incredibly successful, Ambika admitted she was initially reluctant agreeing to play Emma, as the ‘This Is Going To Hurt’ actress “didn’t see” herself in the role.
She told Netflix: “I just didn’t see myself in that role, to be honest. It took well into the shoot for me to convince myself that it was the right call for me to be there doing that.”
However, Ambika emphasised that she had a “change of heart happened very suddenly” about appearing in the project once Leo was cast as Dexter.
She added: “I was waiting for a while to find out who my Dexter would be, and was very happy when it was Leo.”

Bridget Jones 4 to start filming in May

OHMYGOSSIP — The fourth ‘Bridget Jones’ movie will begin filming in May.
Renee Zellweger is set to reprise her leading role in the franchise, 23 years after the first movie based on Helen Fielding’s book was released, while Colin Firth and Hugh Grant (love rivals Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver) are also expected to return in some capacity.
A source told the Mail On Sunday newspaper: “Bridget is back and is about to take over London. Filming is being mapped out already and all of the pre- production is in place.
“There was some uncertainty about whether it would get off the ground, but the movie is coming.
“Renee is excited about bringing Bridget back. She adores the character so much. Bridget Jones fever is expected to sweep across London this spring.”
Renee is said to already be looking for a UK base for herself and her boyfriend Ant Anstead.
Meanwhile, it is unclear if the movie will be based on Fielding’s ‘Mad About The Boy’, released in 2013, which sees Bridget as a widow following the death of Mark.
The author previously told Radio Times: “Every film that gets made is a miracle. I think it’s really difficult to make films and to make them happen and to make them good and we want it to be really good. But I really hope so. I’d love to see it on the screen.”

Fantastic Four cast already bonding

OHMYGOSSIP — The new ‘Fantastic Four’ cast have started bonding via group chat.
Ebon Moss Bachrach revealed he and co-stars Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn and Vanessa Kirby are already getting to know each other before they start shooting the movie.
He told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel: “Pedro started a group text a couple days ago. I have his number, so it says Pedro Pascal, and then there’s two +44 [the U.K. country code] numbers. I don’t know which one’s Vanessa and which one is Joseph. But everybody said something! Everyone’s put a little image or a sticker or a gif or something out there, so people are invested, I guess? No one’s being coy! Everyone showed up. It’s nice, it’s nice.”
Ebon, 46, will play Ben Grimm/The Thing, Pedro is set to portray Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch.
‘The Bear’ star also revealed how he first heard he had landed a part in the Marvel movie.
He said: “I got a call from my agent — and I wasn’t thinking about work at all because writers were striking and then actors were probably going to strike — and he said, ‘Yeah, they asked you to play The Thing’.
“And I remember, because I was right on Fifth Avenue and 21st Street [in New York City], and I was so shocked, and I was walking, and the next thing I was right in front of Astor Wines. So, I went in and bought a bunch of mezcal.”
