Marcel Somerville wants agony uncle TV show

OHMYGOSSIP — Marcel Somerville wants his own agony uncle-style TV show.
The Blazin’ Squad singer thinks he’s a good “life coach”, and after dispensing advice to his fellow contestants on ‘Love Island’, he’d like to take things even further.
He told heat magazine: “During my time in the villa, I was giving a lot of people advice and the Dr. Marcel thing kicked off.
“Every person I’ve spoken to since the show has asked me for advice and stuff, so it’s going to follow me for the rest of my life.
“My mates have always come to me for words of wisdom in regards to relationships and life in general. I’m quite a good life coach.
“I met Jeremy Kyle, who said, ‘If you and Gabs don’t work out, come on my show’.
“I think I’m too nice to do Jeremy Kyle – maybe I could do the Marcel version of ‘Trisha’.”
Marcel – who is dating fellow ‘Love Island’ star Gabby Allen – will release his own book of relationship advice, ‘Dr. Marcel’s Little Book of Big Love’ later this week, and recently admitted he is very excited to be a “guru to the nation”.
He said: “I’ve always been the one my friends would go to for romantic advice, so being able to be a guru to the nation is an exciting prospect. ‘Dr Marcel’s Little Book of Big Love’ is gonna share all my knowledge and all the things I learned during my ‘Love Island’ experience.”
Marcel first announced the news of his book on Twitter.
He posted last month: “News!! I’m excited to announce I am releasing my own book in August with Blink Publishing, ‘Dr Marcel’s Little Book of Big Love’ #LoveIsland (sic)”

Dame Judi Dench prefers honesty

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Judi Dench likes that her mother was honest with her growing up.
The ‘Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ star is glad her mom told her she was “intolerant” as a young girl because she feels it has helped her become a better person.
She told The Sunday Times’ Culture magazine: “Oh, I don’t know. I have a happy nature. I have been very, very unhappy, like everybody, but usually I have quite a sunny nature, which is something you don’t manufacture. It’s either something you’re born with, or you’re not. And I think that comes from my parents. They had great, great senses of humour …
“Well, I remember my mother saying to me when I was at art school, ‘You are without doubt the most intolerant person I’ve ever met.’ I think I found fault with everything. And I remember not being able to say anything back, and just looking out of the window. She said it to my back. It’s very good to be told that early. I hope [I took it on board]. Because I think I am quite tolerant now. To a certain extent.”
Meanwhile, the 82-year-old actress previously criticised young actors for their apparent lack of interest in theatre greats.
She said: “What is so shocking is that young actors don’t want to find out about the legacy that we’ve been left. They don’t want to know about David Garrick and Sir Henry Irving and Peggy Ashcroft and Edith Evans, and that seems to me to be a terrible shame.
“Because although the fashion now may not be to speak the way that John and Peggy and Ralph Richardson and Sir Laurence Olivier spoke, nevertheless if you listen to Sir John you will always get what Shakespeare means.
“They’re just not curious. It’s just non-curiosity. I think it’s terribly important to know the huge history of theatre that we have, why you’re in it, what people did before, the lives of actors.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tobe Hooper has died aged 74 years old.
The American film director – who is known for creating the 1974 horror film ‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ – tragically passed away on Saturday (26.08.17) in Sherman Oaks, California, The Independent Online has reported.
And the Los Angeles county coroner believes the creative mastermind – who has sons William and Tony – died from natural causes.
Following the news of the late filmmaker’s death, stars have taken to social media to pay tribute to him.
Bill Moseley, 65, has revealed he is “so sad” to hear of the tragic news, but is grateful he met Tobe because he helped to kickstart his acting career.
Bill – who played Chop Top Sawyer in Tobe’s ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’ – tweeted: “So sad to say goodbye to TOBE Hooper, the man who took a chance on me and gave me my career in film’s greatest genre. (sic).”
And American film director William Friedkin has also taken to the micro-blogging site to share his fond memories of his unforgettable “good friend” Tobe and to praise the star for making the “most terrifying” movie franchise “ever”.
He wrote: “Tobe Hooper, a kind, warm-hearted man Who made the most terrifying film ever. A good friend I will never forget (sic).”

He tweeted: “Very few people were as generous, kind and encouraging as Tobe Hooper. I will miss him deeply and feel lucky for the time I had with him. (sic).”

Nicole Kidman savouring the moment

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Kidman is “savouring the moment” right now.
The ‘Lion’ star is thrilled with how her career and life is going at the moment and tries her best to “stay in a consistent place”.
She told Australia’s Stellar magazine: “I’m always just gently moving through life, so I try to not have the massive highs and the massive lows and try to stay in a consistent place. But in terms of just really savoring the moment, yes … I know when things are good and I savour them.”
Meanwhile, Nicole previously admitted she wasn’t getting the roles she wanted so she “made opportunities” for herself.
She explained: “That was the great thing about reading something like ‘Big Little Lies’ and going, ‘We can get this made.’ And I have to say for [Reese Witherspoon] and I to have taken that from nothing and all the way to here, we both said, ‘We weren’t getting the opportunities of great roles.’ I mean, sometimes every now and then, but I think now, particularly for women, we’re in a position where if it’s not happening, you’ve got to make it happen for you.
“You’ve got to make opportunities for yourself and your friends. And that’s pretty much what Big Little Lies was. It was building opportunities for ourselves and our friends, and it just happened to become what it became, but that was because there was an enormous amount of passion behind it as well and optimism, actually.”

Brie Larson’s easier life

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson admits success has made her life “easier”.
the 27-year-old actress – who is engaged to rocker Alex Greenwald – doesn’t live a particularly extravagant lifestyle but she is thankful she never has to worry about being able to pay the bills.
She said: “It makes you life much easier on a practical level. Not that I’ve changed my spending habits dramatically or live differently now from the way I used to, but at least I don’t jave to worry about money any more.
“It’s not pleasant having to live under that pressure when you’re trying to find good roles and wanting to prove yourself.”
However, the ‘Glass Castle’ star does still have some worries, as she’s always checking that her career choices are in line with her ambitions.
She said: “I guess that, on an artistic level, I still worry about the kind of work that I’m doing and whether I live up to my own ambitions.
“I don’t think that will ever change when it comes to how I approach things.”
Brie won an Oscar for her role as a kidnapped woman in ‘Room’ and she admits the experience of making the film took her back to her own childhood, where she, her sister and single mother shared a studio apartment, and led to an emotional chat with her mom.
She told Psychologies magazine: “While we were shooting it, I felt more connected to my past.
“We had a pretty tough time after my mother, my little sister and I moved to Los Angeles.
“I remember calling my mom in tears and telling her that I understood at last how many sacrifices she had made for me.
“She was crying too, during our conversation and she apologised for all the difficulties we went through. It taught me how we all need to be more forgiving of ourselves.”

Mollie King’s Strictly Come Dancing worry

OHMYGOSSIP — Mollie King is “worried” people will expect her to be a better dancer than she is.
The Saturdays singer is set to take to the dancefloor in the autumn as she has joined the line up for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ but she insists her girl band background doesn’t give her an edge over the other contestants.
She told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine: “I’m beyond excited. I’ve grown up loving watching people dance, so to have the opportunity to do that one-to-one with a professional – you can’t buy that.
“I’m not a dancer, I never went to stage school so I don’t have that background. I was kicked out of ballet when I was three – the teacher told my mum I had no grace and she was wasting her money!
“The Saturdays was more, ‘Pose here, pose there, change formation.’ This is a whole different ball game, so I’m worried that people will expect me to be a lot better than I actually am!”
Meanwhile, Mollie is “panicking” about learning the routines on the latin and ballroom show because she usually “takes a little while” to pick up things up, according to her band mate Frankie Bridge.
Frankie said: “I can’t wait. I’m not surprised at all. When I was doing it, Kevin sometimes came to work with me and she always wanted to have a go. She’ll look amazing in those costumes. She finds it a little bit harder to pick things up and that’s what she’s panicking about. I was like ‘please just enjoy it because it’ll be over so soon’. I wish I could do it every year.”

Coronation Street’s Rita Tanner to be killed off after brain tumour battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Coronation Street’s Rita Tanner will meet her death after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
The iconic character – played by Barbara Knox – is reportedly set to exit the ITV soap after 53 years when a storyline, thought to be beginning in October, sees her suffering ill health.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “It has been suggested she might have dementia, but she does not. In fact, she will be diagnosed with a tumour and her doctors will say there is a serious risk she will die if they don’t remove it.
“But Rita is terrified that she could not know who she is, or recognise her friends. All the indications are that this will end tragically.”
It comes after the show’s boss Kate Oates revealed Alison King will return to the ITV show later this year as tough-talking businesswoman Carla Connor.
Kate explained: “Ever since I got here, it’s been rumoured that Carla’s coming back. But it was never true. Even the latest indications of it. Ali has only just signed her contract and she’ll be back around Christmas. It’s time to break new ground with Carla. I didn’t want to put her on that familiar cycle of self-destruction, recovery, followed by more self-destruction … What we’ll have instead are these two strong Connor women – Carla and Michelle – on opposing sides and in conflict for a change. It’ll be a refreshing dynamic for us to see.”

Lacey Turner’s wedding dress doesn’t fit

OHMYGOSSIP — Lacey Turner’s wedding dress doesn’t fit her.
The ‘EastEnders’ star is set to tie the knot with her beau Matt Kay, 29, abroad later this year but has admitted she’s feeling slightly stressed because she’s gained weight and her frock is a little too tight.
She said: “I’ve put on a few pounds since I bought my wedding dress, it’s so tight and they can’t let it out. What I’ve done now is eaten all the chocolate in the house so there’s no more to be tempted by until my wedding. I do feel more comfortable now, but I bought the dress when I was smaller.
“My best friend told me to get it in the bigger size but the woman I bought it from said she’d never known a bride to put on weight before her wedding – I must be the exception! I’m sure it will be fine – when the nerves kick in I’ll probably lose a few pounds.”
And, although they’ve still got a little while to go before they walk down the aisle, the pair – who have been together since they were teenagers – have already planned everything.
Lacey explained: “We’re all done! Some days I get a bit nervous as it’s nearing, but I’m just excited. I’m waiting for the wedding stress to kick in but it hasn’t happened – yet! …
“I haven’t had any bridezilla moments yet, but there’s still time.”
And the 29-year-old beauty believes getting hitched abroad has actually made things easier.
She explained: “I think it’s been easier because there’s nothing you can do – you can just send an email. Also, Matt has done loads, which has been great.”
Matt said: “I’ve mainly taken control of the food and the music, but they’re quite important.”
Lacey added to OK! magazine: “I’ve just sorted out the flowers and the decor – all the girlie bits. I haven’t really got a theme or colour scheme, I just want everyone to be comfortable. It’s going to be very laid back.”

Sir Bruce Forsyth died ‘quietly and in peace’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bruce Forsyth died “quietly and in peace”.
The legendary television personality passed away last week at the age of 89 and now his widow Lady Wilnelia has broken her silence to reveal he was surrounded by his family when he passed.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Two weeks ago he asked me to stay home and be taken care of. His daughters, our son JJ and my mother Delia – who also stood by my side supporting me – were all by his side. He left quietly and in peace. Like everything he did, his departure was as organised and structured as his life.
“His departure has left a very big hole in my life and nobody will remember him more than I. We have our house full of flowers, the television has not stopped dedicating special programmes and calls of solidarity have not stopped.”
Wilnelia also shared how Bruce was a huge fan of her home island of Puerto Rico and revealed she is planning a little memorial service there too as well as one in the UK.
She said: “Bruce loved Puerto Rico. And that is why, as soon as we have all the details of what we will do in London, we will plan something on the island. want to thank my beautiful Puerto Rico for all the shows of affection and solidarity at this moment.”
Bruce had been unwell for some time and was hospitalised earlier this year with a severe chest infection.
In a statement at the time of his passing, his manager Ian Wilson said: “It is with great sadness that the Forsyth family announce that Sir Bruce passed away this afternoon, peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife Wilnelia and all his children.
“A couple of weeks ago, a friend visited him and asked him what he had been doing these last 18 months. With a twinkle in his eye, he responded ‘I’ve been very, very busy … being ill!'”

Danniella Westbrook: I won’t ever shake off my past

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook says she will always be known as the “cokehead girl” off ‘EastEnders’.
The 43-year-old actress – who has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her fiancé Alan Thomason – is putting her past behind her but she knows it won’t ever totally go away.
She said: “It doesn’t matter what happens in the future when this little one arrives. I could win 12 Oscars and I would still be known as the cokehead girl off ‘EastEnders’ … I’ll tell you why [I’ve changed this time]. I went into rehab for nine weeks earlier this year and got to the root of my problems. I suffered abuse as a child. It led to me starting on drugs at 15.
“If you get everything dealt with and put away as far back as you can, you stand more of a chance. I’m a cocaine addict. If I’m going to find coke, I’m gonna climb a mountain to find it. But I can’t worry about that. My life is different now. My demons have been put to bed. Now I can move forward.”
And Danniella is incredibly happy with Alan and they are planning to get married next year.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Alan is a hundred, million per cent the reason for my current happiness. I’ve been lost a lot in my life. Now I’m centred. People can say what they like. Alan is not a user. It took him five days to realise I even work in TV. He looks after me …
“He’s a man for a start. He’s open, honest and loyal. I was honest with him about everything. He doesn’t give a monkey’s about my past … We’re getting married in Spain some time next year. We’ll put it together in two weeks – as long as my kids, his mum and our close friends are there. We’d like a secret beach, we’ll just throw a stage and fairy lights down, put some music on and eat Spanish food. It will be gorgeous.”

Noel Fielding pinches Paul Hollywood’s butt

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Fielding “pinched” Paul Hollywood’s butt.
The new ‘Great British Bake Off’ host is good friends with former presenter Mel Giedroyc and, because she misses the judge and the crew on the show, he was only too happy to pick up where she left off and flirt with the bread expert.
Noel said: “I was doing ‘Taskmaster’ with Mel and I’m good friends with her. She kept saying, ‘What are you doing next? And I wasn’t allowed to say anything.’
“Mel was very supportive [when she found out] and said, ‘Oooh I feel I should pass you some sort of baton or baguette.’ She said it’s a lovely job – there’s lots of cake, lots of time to sit int he sun in a deckchair, I’ll have a blast.
“Yesterday she sent me a text and said, ‘Ah I miss everyone. Pinch Paul on the bum for me.’ [Did I?] Yeah, obviously.”
The 44-year-old comic – who is fronting the show with Sandi Toksvig – was delighted to discover Paul is not as “scary” as he seems on screen, but can’t help getting “hypnotised” by his striking blue eyes.
He said: “Paul is so welcoming. Considering he’s the only original member, he’s been so open.
“I’ve only known him from watching the show and you think he might be a bit scary but he’s the absolute opposite, he’s so lovely.
“You get hypnotised by his beautiful eyes. I sort of drift off, wake up, and I’m ironing his shirt.”
And he and Sandi are pleased Paul has done all he can to help them and new judge Prue Leith to settle in.
Noel said: “The thing about Paul is he knows the show so well, it’s a brilliant balance. And he hasn’t once told us what to do. He’s always there if you’re feeling a bit stressed and you don’t know how to do something.
“He’ll give advice, which is amazing, as it’s his show He could just say, ‘No, you’re not doing that’.
Sandi added to heat magazine: “It’s been so wonderful.”

Matt Dillon praises ‘fun’ There’s Something About Mary

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Dillon wishes all movies were as fun to make as ‘There’s Something About Mary’.
The 53-year-old actor co-starred with Cameron Diaz in the 1998 comedy directed by the Farrelly brothers and has praised both the process and the movie’s endurance.
Speaking at the SANFIC Santiago International Film Festival, he said: “If they all were like that it would be so great. We all had fun making it.
“I was getting on the airplane and someone said to me ‘To Santiago?’ and I remembered that I had a line in that movie about Santiago!”
Matt also spoke about his upcoming Lars von Trier’s thriller ‘The House That Jack Built’, which he admitted is quite dark.
He said: “The content of the movie is quite dark. That was something that I had to take a leap of faith in. [Lars told me], you couldn’t play anybody worse. At dinner before we started Lars asked me to trust him and I said OK. The experience was really good for me from a creative standpoint.”
And Dillon explained that he has seen many changes in the movie industry in his 30-year career.
He said: “I’ve watched the business side of the industry change a lot. I’ve never been all that comfortable with the business side, I’m more into the creative processes.”

Emilia Clarke ‘burned’ by Terminator Genisys

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke and Alan Taylor were both “burned” by ‘Terminator Genisys’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress starred in the 2015 flop, directed by Taylor and he says that the experience was “rough” and not something they would like to repeat.
He told Newsweek: “That was a rough one. It was tough, it was tough on [Clarke] and me. I think we came away feeling a little bit burned by the process. It was hard for her in ways that I didn’t have to experience, because it was her face up on the screen and facing the [criticism] we had to face. I’m not surprised she’s more content to carry on with her other fantastic projects than re-enter that world.”
And he insisted that even if a sequel was suggested, neither of them would be back.
He said: “Well, it hasn’t come up…but you won’t see either of us back in that world, I think it’s safe to say.”
However, Taylor acknowledged that there were some great moments on set and he was full of praise for Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reprised his most famous role for the flick.
He said: “There were so many great things about it. I think she and I loved some of the same things. Arnold was a delight, in every way, to work with; the crew were a delight; being on location in New Orleans was a delight.”

Lady Gaga doc to premiere at TIFF

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga’s documentary will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.
‘Gaga: Five Foot Two’ will debut at the Canadian festival on September 8 at the Princess of Wales Theatre, and will be followed by an intimate performance from the singer songwriter.
The Netflix documentary – directed by Chris Moukarbel – follows the star over an eight-month period as she records and releases her 2016 album, ‘Joanne’.
TIFF artistic director Cameron Bailey said: “Moukarbel’s documentary offers an unprecedented look at Lady Gaga in full creative mode: the ideas, the emotion, the sheer work it takes to do what she does.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing this film to audiences in Toronto, and even more excited that Lady Gaga will follow the screening with a performance. This one is for all her fans, Little Monsters, and movie lovers alike.”
Moukarbel added: “I had a rare opportunity to create a portrait of an artist with such an open heart and mind. I feel really lucky that Gaga trusted me and my vision.”
Gaga, 31, has shared some footage of the documentary on Instagram, including discussing her fear of being alone.
The star – who has been single since splitting from fiance Taylor Kinney in July 2016 – finds her life can go from an extreme of constantly being surrounded by people to be left in “total silence”.
She said: “I’m alone, every night. And all these people will leave, right? They will leave, and then I’ll be alone. And I go from everyone touching me all day and talking at me all day to total silence.”
In another clip, she discussed her ongoing feud with Madonna, and insisted she doesn’t have a problem with the ‘4 Minutes’ singer, but the video then ended on a cliffhanger.
She teased: “The only thing that really bothers me about her…”
The documentary, will also show the ‘Bad Romance’ rehearsing for her Super Bowl Halftime Show earlier this year.

Brie Larson thinks Hollywood needs positive female roles

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson thinks it is “vital” for movies to have positive roles for women.
The 27-year-old actress is taking the lead role in a standalone ‘Captain Marvel’ movie and she hopes her character will be every bit as inspirational as male superheroes have proven to be in the past.
She said: “I think it’s vital women are presented in a more positive and serious way.
“Society has changed dramatically and women are finding their way into all levels of business, and becoming leaders in so many fields.
“Movies need to reflect this, as well as the skills we have that set us apart from men.
“Playing Captain Marvel gave me a chance to portray a dynamic and powerful woman, who will inspire people in the same way that male superheroes have done in the past.”
The ‘Kong: Skull Island’ star thinks the key to a truly great female role is to show what makes them so powerful in their own right, rather than just rewriting a male part for a woman.
She explained to Psychologies magazine: “It goes beyond being tough, it’s about relating to women in an unusual way and not simply replacing a male character with a female one.
“You need to get into the sensibility and sensitivity that women bring with their way of seeing the world, and that’s one of the things I loved about Mason [in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ and what I’d like to bring to Captain Marvel.”
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently revealed ‘Captain Marvel’ will be set in the early 1990s.
He said: “There is an unexplored period of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we wanted to showcase. Almost anything else is a spoiler other than to say that the 90s would be a fun period to make a superhero movie in. I graduated high school in 1991 and the thought that I’m now making a period piece is unbelievable. How old am I now? It’s just gonna be a lot of fun.”

Just days after the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant dumped the ‘Geordie Shore’ star on Twitter, Stephen took to Instagram to hint that the relationship is back on.
He wrote: “No relationships perfect but I wanna do my best to keep this girl with me forever. She’s my best friend.”
