Olivia Attwood would be ‘insane’ to wed Chris Hughes

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood thinks it would be “insane” to marry Chris Hughes.
The ‘Love Island’ star laughed off claims she had been pressuring her boyfriend to pop the question, insisting it is too soon, though she did admit they are always talking about their future together.
She said: “We’ve known each other for three months so it would be insane for us to get engaged. We speak about marriage and kids all the time, but it’s not on our radar right now. When I get married, I want it to be forever. I don’t want to have a shotgun wedding that falls apart in a few years.”
However, the couple are enjoying living together, though the 26-year-old beauty admitted it can be “frustrating” sharing her space with Chris because the 24-year-old hunk has never lived away from home before.
She said: “It’s lovely to get into bed with each other at the end of the night and debrief about our day, but there has been an adjustment period.
“I moved out of home when I was 18, so I’m very independent but this is Chris’ first time away from his family so I’ve had to train him in how to use the washing machine and not leave his wet towels on the floor. It’s been frustrating at times, but he’s learning.”
The couple recently took a brief break after a row at a London club, which was sparked by Chris’ jealousy over Olivia dancing on a table with her friend Amber Davies, but they had a long talk and have vowed to communicate better in the future.
Olivia – who went to stay with her parents in Germany for a few days after the argument – explained to OK! magazine: “I understand Chris is very protective of me but I told him he needs to learn I am a bit wild and nothing I do is malicious or because I want attention from other men. We promised to let each other know how we’re feeling so we can tackle things before it gets out of hand.
“I’m very different to girls Chris has dated in the past, so it’s going to take a bit of getting used to, but we’ll get there.”

Reverend Richard Coles took Strictly break to renew friend’s wedding vows on her deathbed

OHMYGOSSIP — Reverend Richard Coles took a break from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to renew a friend’s wedding vows on her deathbed.
The 55-year-old former musician – who was in pop duo The Communards between 1985 and 1988 – took time out from rehearsing for the BBC One latin and ballroom show so he could renew his friend and former neighbour Mandy Bryant’s vows before she passed away.
Mandy’s son Nathan revealed: “Mum and dad wanted to renew their wedding vows next year to mark their 25th wedding anniversary, but after being told their time together was now short, we took steps to bring the occasion forward. Mum was admitted into the hospice with days left and I asked Richard to renew their vows quickly. Richard was only too obliging, having been a family friend for over 12 years.”
Mandy – who sadly passed away on Thursday after a four year battle with breast and liver cancer – wanted to celebrate her 25th anniversary with husband Mick, which was due to be next year, but they brought it forward so they could all celebrate it together.
He added: “There was a lovely moment when Richard gave us a demonstration of his dance moves in the room for mum. He joked that he had two left feet and needed more practice, Surrounded by friends and family he renewed their vows. I’ll never forget the smile on mum’s and dad’s faces.”
Reverend Coles met the family when he was a curate in Boston and remained close to them, supporting them when firefighter Mick had a stroke in 2005.
Nathan told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Richard has always been considered a special friend of the family, and we’re so grateful for his compassion and support, finding time to come and support the family in our time of need, whilst he’s got a full schedule with ‘Strictly’ and his ministry duties.”

Joachim Ronning set to direct Maleficent 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Joachim Ronning is in talks to direct ‘Maleficent 2’.
The 45-year-old filmmaker helmed ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ this year and Deadline report Ronning is set to work with Angelina Jolie in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 Disney live action movie about the ‘Sleeping Beauty’ villain.
Although not much else is known about the upcoming sequel, Disney revealed they have hired ‘Spectre’ co-writer Jez Butterworth to rewrite the screenplay for the film.
Linda Woolverton had penned the original draft, but her effort is set to be reworked by Butterworth, who will be under pressure to deliver a commercial hit following the success of the original movie.
When the sequel was first announced, Jolie, 42, was unsure whether she would return as the iconic Disney villain, but at the Telluride Film Festival she confirmed she was returning.
She said: “We have been working on the script and this is going to be a really strong sequel.”
Jolie relished playing Maleficent, the antagonist in Walt Disney’s classic 1959 animation ‘Sleeping Beauty’, because she was obsessed with that movie when she was a child.
She previously said: “It is really funny when people say you’d be obvious for a great villain. She was just my favourite as a little girl. I was terrified of her but I was really drawn to her. I loved her. There were some discussions about it before I got the part, and I got a phone call from my brother who said, ‘You got to get your name on the list for this!'”
The first ‘Maleficent’ film also starred Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty, Brenton Thwaites as Prince Phillip and Sharlto Copley as King Stefan.

David Tennant felt like Derek Acorah in Fireman Sam: Alien Alert

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant felt like spiritual medium Derek Acorah in ‘Fireman Sam: Alien Alert – The Movie’.
The ‘Harry Potter’ actor portrays alien hunter Buck Douglas in the movie and he loved playing the extraterrestrial seeker and TV presenter – who is similar to Derek, former host of ‘Most Haunted’ – and bringing a “sci-fi slant” to the popular children’s TV series’ film spin-off.
He said: “I guess you could say I play the Derek Acorah of the alien hunting world in the new movie, which is a lot of fun!
“Fireman Sam is a true institution of children’s television and a series that’s much-loved by all in our household. The new movie takes us to new levels of excitement with a sci-fi slant that includes new characters, rescue vehicles, locations, and plot twists.”
The 46-year-old actor – who is known for starring in ‘Doctor Who’ as the Tenth Doctor, a time-travelling alien – finds it “tantalising” that there could be an extraterrestrial life form in existence, and loved bringing the subject matter to the movie.
He added: “We are fascinated by the idea of aliens, aren’t we, the idea that there is something out there that we don’t understand and also that there might be another world like ours but different. It’s tantalising. It’s a little bit scary too, but I think the sense that we don’t want to be alone, you know, we want to feel like there is untold mysteries out there to discover somewhere.”
The film sees the Pontypandy residents get a little over-excited at the prospect of featuring on Buck’s ‘Alien Quest’ TV show when he arrives in the town.
Fireman Sam – voiced by Steven Kynman – sets off to find out what’s behind all this sudden alien activity, but when a big stunt goes wrong and causes a forest fire, the team have to work together to get everyone to safety.
‘Fireman Sam: Alien Alert – The Movie’ is out on now on DVD.

Jenny Slate in talks to star in Venom movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenny Slate is in talks to star in the ‘Venom’ movie.
The 35-year-old actress – who has had roles in ‘Gifted’ and ‘Zootopia’ – is set to join Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed in the ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off movie.
At the time, Slate is reported to be wanted to play a scientist, Variety reports, but nothing more is known about her character.
In May, Hardy was announced to play the traditional ‘Spider-Man’ villain in Sony Picture’s upcoming film focused around Eddie Brock – the first character to become the alien symbiote in the comic books – with the script penned by ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner.
‘Zombieland’ and ‘Gangster Squad’ director Ruben Fleischer is on board to helm the project which will be part of Sony’s Marvel Universe – which exists outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
‘Venom’ marks the first time a Spider-Man villain will be getting their own standalone movie but the character did appear in Sam Raimi’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ with the character being played by Topher Grace.
The symbiote, created by David Michelinie and artists Todd McFarlane and Mick Zeck, was first introduced in the comic books back in 1988 and is still a fan favourite villain and has appeared in other Marvel Comics including Iron Man, Deadpool and The Hulk.
Sony had planned to release a ‘Sinister Six’ movie featuring Venom but made the decision to start off with a standalone Venom adventure.
Sony and Marvel Studios reached a deal in February 2015 to allow Spider-Man – a character to which Sony bought the rights to – to be introduced into the MCU, with Tom Holland cast in the role and appearing as Spidey in a cameo capacity in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
Holland, 20, then made his first feature-length outing as the wall crawler in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’, a movie which resulted in profit for Sony rather than Disney owned Marvel.

Kate Winslet joins Avatar universe

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Winslet has joined the cast of the ‘Avatar’ sequels.
The 41-year-old British actress first collaborated with director James Cameron on the 1997 multi-Oscar winning disaster movie ‘Titanic’, and now Winslet is reuniting with Cameron to be part of his sci-fi universe, which is getting four sequels to the 2009 original.
Winslet will play a character called Ronal, but it isn’t yet clear whether her alter ego will be a Na’vi or a human.
Cameron told Variety: “Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on ‘Titanic’, which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can’t wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life.”
Winslet will be working alongside a host of returning cast members, such as Zoe Saldana, 38, Sam Worthington, 40, and Sigourney Weaver, 67.
Cliff Curtis will also star in the movie as Tonowari, the leader of the Metkayina, the reef people clan, in the Cameron-directed movies – all of which are poised to take place under water.
Cameron recently revealed, the first movie will be released in 2020, followed by the other three in 20121, 2024 and 2025.
He wrote: “Great to be working with the best team in the business! Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels. The journey continues December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025!”
Cameron also defended the 11 year gap since the first movie claiming the delay was due to creating the “overall vision.”
He said in May: “It was a seven year gap between ‘The Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’, seven year gap between ‘Alien’ and ‘Aliens’. It’s going to be obviously more like a ten year gap between ‘Avatar’ and ‘Avatar 2’. But ‘Avatar 2’ you are going to with not the promise but the certainty of three more films beyond that, and that’s a very different concept with the audience. And a lot of the delay has been around creating that overall vision.”
The first ‘Avatar’ film, released in 2009, still remains the highest grossing movie at the worldwide box office, raking in as much as $2.79 billion.

Jim Carrey lifts lid on beef with Tommy Lee Jones

OHMYGOSSIP — Jim Carrey believes Tommy Lee Jones hated him when they filmed ‘Batman Forever’ together because he was “the star”.
The 55-year-old comic actor starred as The Riddler in third film in the original Warner Bros. Pictures big screen series about The Caped Crusader alongside Jones as fellow villain Two-Face and Val Kilmer as the DC Comics superhero.
The antagonists never saw eye-to-eye and Jones’ disdain towards Carrey was an open Hollywood secret.
In a recent online interview with ‘Norm MacDonald Live’, Carrey revealed an awkward encounter between the pair at a restaurant: “I was the star, and that was the problem. I went over and said, ‘Hey, Tommy, how you doing?’ And the blood just drained from his face like he had been thinking about me 24 hours a day. It was before the biggest scene we have together in the movie. The blood just drained from his face. He started shaking and he got up and he must have been in mid-kill-me fantasy or something. He went to hug me and said, ‘I hate you. I really don’t like you.’ I said, ‘Gee man, what’s the problem?’ I pulled up a chair, which probably wasn’t smart. And he said, ‘I cannot sanction your buffoonery.’
“He might have just been uncomfortable with that type of work which isn’t really his style of stuff.”
Carrey’s comedy performances in a number of hit films such as ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’, ‘The Mask’, ‘Liar Liar’, ‘The Grinch’ and ‘Dumb and Dumber’ cemented his status as one of Tinseltown’s most bankable stars.
However, Carrey insists it wasn’t all plain sailing on his way to success.
He said: “It’s a series of little explosions of excitement and really, really hard times. Some nights I’d go to the [Comedy] Store and I’d be a king and everybody would revere what I did on stage, and the next night I would be experimenting and bomb so badly that I would have to crawl under the piano for the next four acts and close the lid on myself. It was insane.”

Vin Diesel is recording music with his Furious co-star Ludacris

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel is making music with his ‘Fast and Furious’ co-star Ludacris.
The 50-year-old actor has revealed in a new Instagram video that he and the rap star have been busily recording music that will send a “positive” message to their fans.
In the clip, Vin explains: “As you know, we always get together and pow wow.
“Tonight was a little different, we got inspired by our angels to go to the music side of our brain.”
Ludacris, 40 – whose real name is Christopher Bridges – then reveals that the Hollywood stars have taken to the recording studio in a bid to help “make the world a better place”.
He shared: “Creative minds come together, always thinking about how to make the world a better place.
“Always inspired by our children, the next generation. What we can leave them, how we can make positive change and impact. We have the power to move mountains.”
Ludacris then turned his focus to Vin, admitting to being inspired by the action movie star.
He told him: “You inspire me, we inspire each other.
“Let’s make a change, man, each and every person. Let’s stop talking about it and make it happen.”
Meanwhile, in August, Vin announced plans for a live-action ‘Fast and Furious’ show.
The popular actor has starred as Dominic Toretto in all eight movies in the blockbuster franchise and he confirmed that the live-action show is set to start touring arenas around the world in January.
Speaking on Facebook Live, Diesel said: “As you know, my work with ‘Fast and Furious’ never ends.
“Now, I am in New York City, believe it or not. Filming something that is going to be state of the art. A live show.
“It will be, I think, first going to be in the O2 Arena in London and the all over the world. I am really excited about it.”

Chris Hemsworth feels responsible if his movie bombs

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Hemsworth “feels responsible” if his movie bombs.
The ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ star admits it is tough when a film he has worked on isn’t well received by the fans as he always puts “blood, sweat and tears” into every project.
He said: “You have blood, sweat, and tears in a project, and then in an hour and a half or an opening weekend, people decide if it’s a pile of s**t or not.
“It’s gutting if a movie bombs. And I do feel responsible, but you have to develop a thick skin. You want people to enjoy it, so if it does occur, it’s a great feeling.”
And the 34-year-old actor – who has twins Tristan and Sasha, three, and India, five, with his wife Elsa Pataky – loved trying his hand at comedies such as ‘Ghostbusters’ as it allowed him to be “loose” and feel a little “dangerous”.
Speaking in the November issue of GQ Australia, he shared: “It was like, ‘God, I love being this loose. I love being able to go there and not quite know what’s gonna happen.’ It’s gotta feel dangerous, you know? You gotta be walking that line of, ‘This is gonna be great or this is gonna be awful.'”
Meanwhile, Chris previously revealed his children are “not impressed” by his job.
He said: “I come home from work and one of my boys in particular is like, ‘Did you fight the monsters, Papa? Did you hear the monsters?’ He knows Thor, and the other two, they’re just not impressed. They’re like, ‘Yeah, my dad’s Thor, whatever!’ And it’s … the line between the fantasy of what’s on TV and how it relates to real life. At least one of them likes me. One out of three’s pretty good.”

Lucy Watson slams the Kardashians for wearing fur

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Watson has hit out at the Kardashian clan for promoting the use of fur for fashion.
The former ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has lashed out at the famous family – including Kim Kardashian West, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner – for wearing animal skin in their reality TV show ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashian’ and has told fans that their style doesn’t represent “luxury” and, instead, just proves that they’re happy to support the “death and torture of innocent” beings.
Taking to her Twitter account, the brunette beauty said: “watched the new kuwtk last night… so disappointed to see so much fur in just one episode. fur does not represent luxury or fashion. it represents the death & torture of innocent animals. #FurKills (sic).”
Lucy – who works closely with PETA and the RSCPA – has been an animal activist since a very young age and went vegetarian at six years old after she realised that her childhood friend Maisie – a gorgeous little lamb – was about to go off to slaughter.
She then decided to go vegan two years ago and has just dropped her new cookbook ‘Feed Me Vegan’, in which all of her recipes are made from animal-free ingredients.
She’s also released a cruelty-free make-up range called Basic Bitch and is an advocate for animal rescue and tries to encourage people to adopt rather than shop.
The 26-year-old reality TV star was left heartbroken two weeks ago when her rescue kitty Drogo – who she welcomed into her family just four months ago after she saw him at the RSPCA – sadly passed away after he fell unwell at the end of last month.
Taking to her Twitter account, the brunette beauty uploaded a photo of her furry friend and wrote: “last night we lost an angel that was too pure for this earth. the house feels empty. our hearts are broken… life isn’t fair. (sic)”
Lucy – who also has a dog called Digby and a cat called Darcy – hasn’t yet told fans why or how Drogo passed away but she revealed just before his death that she was taking him to the vets because he wasn’t feeling very well.

Lethal Bizzle ‘needs a conversation’ with Chris and Kem over rap

OHMYGOSSIP — Lethal Bizzle “needs to have a conversation” with Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay after they used his phrase without his permission in their new rap single ‘Little Bit Leave It’.
The 33-year-old grime legend – who has been associated with the famous line “leave it” after he dropped his single ‘Leave It Yeah’ in 2011 – is furious with the ‘Love Island’ stars after they weaved his catchphrase into their track without crediting him.
Bizzle – whose real name is Maxwell Owusu Ansah – released a video on his Twitter account on Tuesday (03.10.17) expressing how annoyed he was over the rap.
He said: “You couldn’t leave me alone init. Kem and his other brother – I dunno what his name is – Ross, you took my phrase fam. Cool, I want everyone to use my phrase.
“Everyone knows I make up words but when you want to go and do a song and make money from them then I have a problem with that.
“So we need to have a conversation. Shabs – the guy who signed the record – I know him very well. I’m a very reasonable person so let’s just get this sorted out before it goes anywhere else because it doesn’t need to go anywhere else.
“I wasn’t even f***ing bothered about it to be honest, it was the people that made me realise: ‘Yo, Biz, are you getting a percentage out of that?’ And I sat down and I thought: ‘Hang on a minute, I should be getting a percentage out of this, shouldn’t I?’ ”
The ‘Go Hard’ hitmaker insists he doesn’t “need the money” but it’s the “principle.”
He explained: “I don’t need the money but the principle is you’re taking the piss. And you’re not even crediting where you got the phrase from. You’re using it like you made it popular. So listen, we need to have a conversation. Shabs, call me!”
Bizzle then followed it up by claiming that he was asked to jump on the track but he declined and wasn’t aware of the lyrics or the title when he was first approached.
He said: “The label asked me if I wanna jump on the Kemp & Ross new single, I declined. I didn’t hear it or know the tilte was #LittleBitLeaveIt (sic).”

Bobby Davro’s closeness to ex-wife causes problems

OHMYGOSSIP — Bobby Davro’s girlfriend doesn’t understand his relationship with his ex-wife.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor – who briefly split from long-term partner Vicky Wright earlier this year – has tried to maintain a friendship with his former spouse Trudi Jameson for the sake of their three daughters because his family will always come first, but he admitted that hasn’t been easy for his girlfriend.
He said: “I have a co-dependence problem.
“When I got divorced, I made a promise, as did my ex-wife, that we’d try and be friends and we thought that was good for our children and that’s what I’ve done.
“However, it causes great problems with me because I’m close to my ex-wife, it caused problems with my girlfriend, Vicky.
“It’s difficult for her to understand I need something else in my life, and that’s my family. It’s about including my children in my life, which is my priority…
“The way I’m living my life is I wanted to live it as a family, it comes before anything, and its difficult for the woman in my life to understand that. Maybe my mistake [was] to include my ex-wife as part of my family.”
The 59-year-old comic discussed his heavy alcohol consumption on an upcoming episode of ‘In Therapy’, but he insists he doesn’t have a drink problem, even though he agreed to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (04.10.17), he said: “I haven’t got a drink problem, what I have is I drink too many units.
“In my eyes I’m not an alcoholic, but I thought I’d go along and see where I stand in the grand scheme of things.
“There’s people who don’t drink at all, people like me in the middle, functional alcoholics, and people at the other end who cannot function without alcohol.
“I’ve been drinking 14 units a day, I don’t drink til the evenings but I’ll have a glass of wine if I go out for lunch, but I won’t drink and drive.”

Doctor Foster almost had different ending

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Bartlett had planned a different ending for the second series of ‘Doctor Foster’.
The recent instalment of the gripping drama came to an end last night (03.10.17) after weeks of cliff hangers, but many fans were left disappointed when it concluded with adulterer Simon Foster (Bertie Carvel) being talked out of suicide by his ex-wife Gemma Foster (Suranne Jones) following two years of fighting and their son Tom (Tom Taylor) running away because he couldn’t deal with his parents’ toxic relationship.
However, the show’s writer has admitted the series wasn’t meant to wrap like that as he had initially planned to have Gemma and Tom return home and Simon flee the country.
Speaking to the Radio Times magazine, he said: “The ending of the show unfolded as I was writing it. In the plan, he’s [Tom] in the car at the end. They go back to her house and get a new kitchen and try to build a life.
“It was only when I went to write it that she goes back to the car and he’s not there. But that happened very organically from what he has been through, I think.
“Tom’s not a little child any more, he’s going to make his own choices. And so hopefully it’s one of those ones which you don’t see coming but when it happens you look over the whole series and realise this has been coming the whole time.
“I was so involved in Gemma and Simon’s story that’s all I was thinking about when writing it. It sounds mad, this. But she comes out of the hotel and he’s not there.
“That’s the moment you look for as a writer, when the characters start telling you what they are doing rather than you telling them.”
Despite divided opinions, Mike has admitted there’s “potential” for a third series.
He explained: “You can see the ending. Tom’s gone. So there’s a question mark. In a way that is a question mark at the end. And I think it works as an end to this series and all the things that have been going on. Clearly there’s potential there. But obviously there would have to be lots of conversations.
“We need to talk – Suranne and I and lots of other people need to have lots of conversations and we’ll see.”

Claude Littner snubbed Strictly Come Dancing offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Claude Littner has been asked to do ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Apprentice’ star – who is Lord Sugar’s trusted aide alongside Baroness Karren Brady – has been approached by bosses of the ballroom and latin show in the past, but has turned them down because she doesn’t think his fancy footwork is very impressive.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (04.10.17), he said: “‘Strictly…’ asked me, but I can’t dance. ‘Masterchef’, but I can’t cook, and ‘Mastermind’, I don’t know anything.”
The business advisor will return to screens this evening when the new series of the reality TV show hits televisions but, although he comes across as caring on screen, he has admitted he actually ignores the contestants so he’s not accused of favouritism.
Asked if he gives advice to the contestants, he said recently: “Never, ever, ever. In fact, I never even speak to the candidates. They might say hello to me, but actually I ignore them. The reason I ignore them is probably because I’m quite unfriendly. But mainly because I don’t want to show favouritism.”
However, Claude isn’t so rude to fans who stop him for a picture.
He said: “It gives me great satisfaction to be part of a show that’s successful.
“I really enjoy it and it’s quite nice to be recognised. If people come up and ask me for a selfie, I oblige … I’m much scarier [than I seem on the show]…
“On the show I have to develop a persona. In the interviews, I have to be direct and very firm with people because I need to find out whether they are up to the job or their business plan is one that is worth the investment.”

Joe Swash plays down Stacey Solomon I’m A Celeb spin-off axe

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Swash thinks his girlfriend Stacey Solomon’s shock axe from the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off show is just the “nature of the beast.”
The 35-year-old actor has been fronting the side show ‘Extra Camp’ since 2009 and has been asked to return when the main series makes a return next month but, this time, he’ll be presenting without his beautiful partner after she was dropped in favour of last year’s queen of the jungle Scarlett Moffatt and runner-up Joel Dommett.
But, although they’re devastated they won’t be working together this time around, Joe and Stacey appreciate that it’s all part and parcel of the television industry.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Joe said: “It’s the nature of the beast. It’s the job we’re doing. We dust ourselves off, don’t we?”
Stacey, 28, added: “Aw, I know, it’s a shame, but Joe’s so good at it. I’ll be excited to watch him. I’ll definitely miss him loads, but I love watching from the comfort of my own home. I’m working on loads of different pilots. Nothing is signed off yet but hopefully.”
Fans are no doubt devastated to see the couple – who have been dating for two years – separated but bosses were keen to shake up the panel with some new fresh blood.
A source said recently: “Stacey and Joe are lovely people and great presenters, and everyone involved was really happy with what they did. But the thinking this time around is to have a complete revamp in the format and Stacey unfortunately don’t quite fit into that. Joe may still have a role but that hasn’t been decided, but everyone involved will miss working with Stacey, and Joe if he leaves, because they’re great fun.”
Last year saw Vicky Pattison – who won the main show in 2015 – Chris Ramsey, Stacey and Joe front the spin-off but they regularly came under fire for on-screen gaffes.

Matt Lucas: Little Britain would ‘upset people’ now

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Lucas wouldn’t make ‘Little Britain’ again because it would “upset people”.
The 43-year-old comedian no longer wants to joke about transvestites or portray black characters because “society has moved on a lot” and he has changed his own opinions, but insists he and the show’s co-creator David Walliams were merely trying to “show off” when they made the programme.
He said: “If I could go back and do ‘Little Britain’ again, I wouldn’t make those jokes about transvestites.
“I wouldn’t play black characters. Basically, I wouldn’t make that show now. It would upset people.
“We made a more cruel kind of comedy than I’d do now.
“Society has moved on a lot since then, and my own views have evolved. There was no bad intent there – the only thing you could accuse us of was greed. We just wanted to show off about what a diverse bunch of people we could play.”
Matt and David also created ‘Rock Profile’, a comedy show which featured Jamie Theakston interviewing the pair, who starred as famous musicians, such as Take That’s Gary Barlow and Howard Donald – and the ‘Doctor Who’ star has since said sorry to the ‘Back For Good’ hitamker.
Speaking to The Big Issue, he added: “Now I think it’s lazy for white people to get a laugh just by playing black characters. My aim is to entertain, I don’t have any other agenda. And as I’ve got older, I’ve become more empathetic, I care more about hurting people.
“I’ve only met Gary Barlow a few times, but I’ve apologised every time.”
‘Little Britain’ featured sketches of the likes of fictional teenage delinquent Vicky Pollard, played by Matt, and he and David also portrayed transvestites Florence and Emily Howard, whose catchphrase was: “I’m a lady!”
