Daisy Ridley critical of her performance in The Force Awakens

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Ridley didn’t think her performance was very “good” in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.
The 25-year-old actress made her debut as the Force-sensitive orphan Rey in the seventh film in the sci-fi franchise and she reprises her role this December in ‘The Last Jedi’, but when she watched the movie back she was disappointed with her acting.
In an interview with the December issue of ELLE magazine, she said: “I didn’t think I was good in the first film, and I was struggling with that. I did the first one because I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into and I was having loads of fun, and suddenly I’m realising what this actually is. I realised I can’t f***ing do this. I’m highly dramatic.”
Ridley is set to reprise her role as Rey in ‘The Last Jedi’ this year alongside Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Oscar Isaac (Poe), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Andy Serkis (Snoke), Domhnall Gleeson (General Lux) and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia.
This isn’t the first time Ridley has been critical of her own acting abilities.
She recently admitted she had doubts about whether she could hold her own in the star-studded Sir Kenneth Branagh-helmed movie ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ which also features Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Michelle Pfeiffer, Derek Jacobi, Penelope Cruz and Josh Gad.
Speaking at the world premiere of the movie at The Royal Albert Hall, in London, Ridley said: “It was amazing and what was more amazing was that everyone was absolutely lovely. I did feel really part of something. There were points I was like, ‘There’s no way I was going to get this job, I’m not good enough yardy yardy ya.
“And then when you get to a point where everyone’s made you feel so welcome it’s just unbeatable.”
Ridley stars as Mary Debenham in the new movie which sees Belgian detective Hercule Poirot (Branagh) have to solve a murder on the European train trip after one passenger is stabbed to death.

Sebastian Stan says filming Avengers movies is really hard

OHMYGOSSIP — Sebastian Stan says it has been “really hard” shooting ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’ because of the schedule.
The 35-year-old actor stars as Bucky aka The Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will reprise his role in the upcoming two movies, but admitted the filming process has felt “a little bit out of sync”.
Speaking at Rhode Island Comic Con, Stan said: “It’s not something you always deal with. I feel like you always kind of have a script. But I guess, what I would say is, because we’ve done these characters for a bit now, there’s a little bit of a telepathic kind of knowledge between us and the writers. And you kind of can sometimes guess where they’re going to take it, a little bit. For example, this one was really hard, because we keep going in and out. I go back there for a week, and then I leave for a month. And then I go back there for a few more days. So it’s a little bit out of sync. But it still hopefully adds up in the end. Almost every scene is epic.”
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ will see the hero squad – Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – join forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy to save the Earth.
The two teams will have to work together to fight intergalactic tyrant Thanos, with some help from newcomers Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and the screen debut of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).
Stan isn’t the only member of the cast who finds shooting the ‘Avengers’ movies tough, after Karen Gillan – who stars as Nebula in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise – admitted that her latest on-set experience of working with directors Joe and Anthony Russo has been an exhausting process.
She shared: “So this is the longest shoot in the world. It’s been going since January, and it goes right up until December. And then it goes into re-shoots – like immediate, more additional photography – next year. So it’s like an ongoing thing, which is really cool, because it feels like a whole family now.”

Armie Hammer’s emotional journey on Call Me By Your Name

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer went on an “emotional journey” working with director Luca Guadagnino on ‘Call Me By Your Name’.
The 31-year-old actor plays the role of Oliver in the romantic coming-of-age drama and admitted the passion that Guadagnino showed on set and his openness to the cast’s ideas was a completely new experience for him.
Speaking to the New York Magazine, Hammer said: “I’ve never had such an emotional journey with a director. I’ve never even considered directors to be emotional people! I don’t even know if I’ve worked with a director who even cared if I was mad at them before. It was more like, ‘Shut up and stand on your mark and do your job.’ The feeling of operating from that place of passion is really contagious and soul-satiating. It’s the safest place I’ve ever been in my life – still to this day – when it comes to feeling complete empathy, complete understanding and complete love, no matter what.
“But then … he knows if you’re lying. He knows if you’re not being honest, whether in real life or in the performance and he will not back off.
“There are a lot of things about Oliver that resonated with me, and primarily it was that projection of ease and casualness and comfort that you might not actually be feeling all the time.
“My whole life, I’m bluffing my way through it all. And Luca was just like, ‘Nope, that doesn’t work around here’ – which was terrifying.”
‘Call Me By Your Name’ – which is based on the novel of the same name – follows the story of a young Italian man named Elio, played by Timothée Chalamet, who meets Oliver after he visits the country to stay at his parents’ villa.
The pair then develop a passionate relationship, as they bond over their shared Jewish heritage and their sexuality.

Jason Momoa teases that shooting is to start on The Crow Reborn

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Momoa has teased he is ready to start shooting ‘The Crow Reborn’.
The 38-year-old actor has just wrapped up shooting DC Extended Universe movie ‘Aquaman’ and is now ready to move onto his new project, a reboot of Alex Proyas’ 1994 fantasy thriller ‘The Crow’ – which starred the late Brandon Lee in the title role, who died when he was accidentally shot and killed during filming.
Last year, Momoa was revealed to be portraying the titular undead vigilante in the new version – which is to be helmed by Corin Hardy – and Momoa has now taken to Instagram to inform his fans that production is getting ready to begin.
Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a picture of the iconic black and white makeup worn by the character and wrote: “I’ve been waiting for sooooo long. @corinhardy let’s do this brother aloha j (sic)”
As with the original movie, the film will be based on the 1989 graphic novel by James O’Barr, but it was previously reported the remake will be more faithful to the original source.
Speaking about his shooting schedule, O’Barr revealed previously said: “As of right now, it’s slated to start pre-production in February with a very talented British director named Corin Hardy.
“I’m involved in every aspect of the film and working closely with the director.”
The plot focuses on rock musician Eric Draven and his fiancée Shelly who are attacked by a gang of street thugs who shoot the couple, but when Eric dies in the hospital he is resurrected by a crow and then goes on a revenge mission to punish his attackers for killing the love of his life.

Sir Kenneth Branagh wants to adapt Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Kenneth Branagh wants to make Agatha Christie’s ‘Death on the Nile’ into a new film.
The 56-year-old actor starred as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ – which he also directed – and he wants to star as the iconic detective again and is keen to bring Christie’s 1937 novel to the big screen.
Speaking to CinemaBlend, Branagh said: “It’s a great book, you know. Michael – Michael Green, our screenwriter – wanted to feel this Poirot who never gets a holiday. You could call it, instead of ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, you could say ‘Hercule Poirot Tries To Take A Holiday’.
“First in Istanbul, then on the Orient Express, then at the end he gets sent to Egypt. ‘Death on the Nile’ – if we did one, we’d love to.
“The public will decide; they come to see this in sufficient numbers we’ll be there. I’d love to play Poirot again and that’s a very, very passionate book about obsessive love. So it’s very dangerous.
“And given that we have a Poirot who has this mysterious relationship to Katherine [who is seen in a photograph].
“Who is she? What is she? And where does he sit when it comes to the world of romance – beyond the hint that it never goes unpunished? I think there’s gold in them hills if we get the chance.”
‘Death on the Nile’ was made into a film back in 1978 starring Peter Ustinov as Poirot, Mia Farrow as Jacqueline de Bellefort and Angela Lansbury as Salome Otterbourne.
The plot follows the detective as he attempts to uncover a killer on board a luxury cruise along the Nile.
But just as Poirot identifies a motley collection of would-be murderers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery of the killer’s identity.

Dame Helen Mirren wants to play Donald Trump

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren wants to portray Donald Trump in a movie biopic.
The 72-year-old movie legend thinks it would be “so funny” to play the role of the American President in a film based on him and his life, and she thinks she would be great for the position because she believes they have a similar hair style.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Collateral Beauty’ star said: “I’d be so funny as Trump. I love it. I’ve almost got the hair.
“[He’s] a fantastic, sort of slightly Shakespearean character. He may have a Shakespearean fall, I don’t know … He is an extraordinary character.”
And Mirren has revealed if a production based on the US leader was to arise, she would like to explore Trump’s upbringing, and his family life in the project.
She said: “You look at the upbringing. You look at the schooling, the father, the mother.
“I don’t know much about Mr Trump’s background, but if I was to play him I would definitely start there. You have to start with the child and the child is very much in Trump.”
Mirren has played a string of real-life personalities throughout her career including Queen Elizabeth II in ‘The Queen’.
And the star has revealed she met with the 91-year-old royal shortly after the movie was released in 2006, and acknowledged Mirren as the actress who portrayed her.
Recalling the moment she met Her Majesty, Mirren said: “I met her afterwards, which was rather a loaded moment.
“She never mentioned the film to me personally. She did introduce me to someone as: ‘This is Helen Mirren, she played me in the film.’
“Apart from that she’s never mentioned it.”

Molly’s Game replaces Kevin Spacey film at AFI Fest

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Sorkin’s ‘Molly’s Game’ will replace Kevin Spacey’s ‘All the Money in the World’ as the closing movie for the American Film Institute (AFI) Festival.
The AFI has confirmed the Jessica Chastain-starred motion picture will take the place of the Ridley Scott-directed film for the conclusion of the event on November 16 at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Jacqueline Lyanga, AFI Fest Director, said: “Aaron Sorkin is an American master, and we are proud to shine a proper spotlight on his directorial debut, ‘Molly’s Game’, on AFI Fest’s closing night.
“As Sorkin embarks on this next chapter of his career, his talents are timely for a tribute as he brings his gift of crafting compelling narratives and complex characters to the story of female impresario Molly Bloom.”
Sorkin’s directorial debut tells the true story of Molly Bloom – played by Chastain – who ran an underground poker ring.
TriStar Pictures recently revealed it was pulling ‘All The Money in the World’ from the AFI Fest in the wake of sexual harassment and assault allegations made against Spacey.
Spacey’s part in the movie, in which he was due to star as J Paul Getty, is set to be re-shot ahead of the film’s December 22 release.
Christopher Plummer has joined the movie as the ‘American Beauty’ star’s replacement, and it is said Sony Pictures and the cast and crew of the movie, which includes Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams, unanimously agreed to re-shoot all of Spacey’s scenes.
Following TriStar’s decision to pull ‘All the Money in the World’ from AFI Fest, they said in a statement: “‘All the Money in the World’ is a superb film and more than worthy of its place of honour in the AFI Fest.
“But given the current allegations surrounding one of its actors and out of respect for those impacted, it would be inappropriate to celebrate at a gala at this difficult time. Accordingly, the film will be withdrawn.
“However, a film is not the work of one person. There are over 800 other actors, writers, artists, craftspeople and crew who worked tirelessly and ethically on this film, some for years, including one of cinema’s master directors.
“It would be a gross injustice to punish all of them for the wrongdoings of one supporting actor in the film. Accordingly, the film will open wide as planned on December 22.”
AFI Fest added: “AFI Fest celebrates film as a collaborative art form. We support Sony’s decision to postpone the premiere in order to ensure the thousands of people who worked together on this film are honored at a proper time and in a proper light.”
Spacey, 58, is receiving treatment at an Arizona rehab centre since his sexual conduct has been called into question by a number of men, including Richard Dreyfuss’ son Harry and Star Trek: Discovery’s Anthony Rapp, who claims ‘The Usual Suspects’ actor tried to seduce him at a party in his house in 1986 when he was just 14.

Ferne McCann’s ex-boyfriend found guilty of acid attack

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann’s ex-boyfriend has been found guilty of carrying out an acid attack in London earlier this year.
Arthur Collins, 25, was convicted of five counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and nine counts of actual bodily harm at Wood Green Crown Court today (13.11.17) after 14 people were badly burnt when he sprayed the corrosive substance at a crowd on the dance floor in the nightclub Mangle E8 in Dalston on April 17.
The 25 year old admitted to throwing a bottle of liquid over the clubbers at around 1am in the busy nightclub, but he claimed he didn’t know it was acid and thought it was a date rape drug because he’d snatched the container from two men after overhearing them allegedly talking about spiking a girl’s drink.
Arthur had been out celebrating with his friend Andre Phoenix after announcing to his family just hours before at a barbecue that he and Ferne – who got together earlier this year – were expecting a baby.
After the serious attack, in which Arthur walked away from claiming he had “no idea of an incident unfolding” despite people screaming, police tracked him down at a house in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.
As they entered the property, he jumped out of the bathroom window – fracturing both of his feet – before lunging over garden fences to get away. He was eventually tasered by officers and taken to the station.
During the trial, Arthur was pressed on a bottle of liquid he had in his car because he’d previously told his sister it was “acid” but he told the jury that it was amino acid shampoo to combat his baldness.
Arthur’s friend Andre was also charged with four counts of GBH and two counts of ABH, which he denied, after he was seen holding his pal back as he threw the acid.
But the jury declared him not guilty after he told them that he had only stepped in to separate Arthur and another male when they started squaring up to one another.
He went on to say he doesn’t “roll with acid” and would just “knock them out” if someone angered him.
Andre – who suffered a burn to the face from the acid during the scuffle – wept as he was cleared.
Meanwhile, Ferne split with Arthur as soon as he was arrested and she gave birth to their daughter Sunday earlier this month.

Vicky Pattison wants little son

OHMYGOSSIP — Vicky Pattison is desperate to have a little son
The reality TV star would like to have a baby of her own with her fiance John Noble after meeting her best friend Ferne McCann’s one-week-old daughter Sunday recently, but she’s hoping their first child is a boy and is the spitting image of her handsome beau.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “I would love a little boy.
“I’m so open to the idea of having kids now. John is the one. I want a little boy that looks like him. Everyone around me is having kids so I’m really thinking about it now.”
The couple got together earlier this year after previously dating when they were in their early 20s and, although they didn’t work out the first time around, the 29-year-old beauty is convinced they’re perfect for one another now because they’re older and mature.
She explained: “He is so supportive, he has changed my life. He has made me feel body confident and I’m finally embracing my curves. I’ll never be a size 6, I’m a size 10 and I love my boobs and bum. As long as John loves it, then so do I. The relationship is different this time around because we have both grown up so much.”
Vicky’s drastic change of mind regarding children comes just months after she said she didn’t have any desire to become a mother.
She said previously: “Kids are for me are still a big question mark. I’ve always been dead vocal about the fact I’ve never really seen them in my future and John is the same. But I think as our relationship has progressed, I’ve softened a lot.”

Coleen Nolan slams Strictly Come Dancing judges for ‘cruel’ remarks

OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Nolan thought the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judges were “cruel and nasty” to Ruth Langsford last weekend.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist was given the boot from the ballroom and latin competition in Sunday (12.11.17) night’s show after her Foxtrot failed to impress the panel and the public, but her co-star has jumped to her defence and slammed Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas for their harsh criticism.
Speaking on the chat show on Monday (13.11.17), Coleen said: “I thought they were really, really, really particularly cruel to you this week, some of the comments. I thought they were out of order. I didn’t think a lot of them were constructive criticism, I just thought some of them, especially Bruno’s, came across as nasty.”
However, Jane Moore tried to play down the comments and claimed it was all for entertainment.
She said: “It is an entertainment show at the end of the day.”
Although she was given the axe just before the nine-week special at Blackpool Tower, Ruth has admitted she had a great time taking part in the competition and is glad she agreed to do it when the BBC first approached her.
The 57-year-old presenter said: “It was just such an experience. I’m so glad I said yes when they asked me. I was like, ‘Can I fit this in with work?’ and I’m so glad that I said yes. It was everything I thought it would be with bells on. It’s exciting, it’s terrifying, I made a great friend in Anton. He was the best, best partner I could have had – he was so patient, kind and funny. We laughed and laughed. I wanted it to be funny. I wasn’t a dancer, I’ve got no experience, I know I’m not going to be brilliant, but I think I did improve and I loved it.”

The ‘Love Island’ couple are set to tie the knot next year but, although they’re still making arrangements for their big day, they’ve already started preparations for their appearance as they both decided to go under the knife to correct their eyesight.
Alex, 25, said: “So we’re getting married, have a business and we definitely don’t do things by halves. I’m excited to start swimming, without having to wear contacts. It sounds like such a cliché, but it really does change your life.”
Olivia, 23, was nervous ahead of the surgery but she can’t praise Optical Express – who performed the op – enough for settling her nerves and giving her fab results.
She said: “I had butterflies before the surgery but it went really quick and straight after it I could already start to see things clearly.
“We’ve got the wedding coming up and we’re really excited for the next year. More holidays I think. We’ll be able to see the beach in HD!”
The pair got engaged abroad t the end of last year – just months after they met on the dating show – and Alex has admitted it was the most “nerve wracking time” of his life
because he had to try and sneak the engagement ring through customs.
He explained: “It was the most nerve wracking time of my life. I had to get the ring through customs; then they swapped my bag with Olivia’s and she’d gone to open it! I was shaking. We went for a little drink first – I’d hired out a rooftop for the occasion. Went outside onto the deck Olivia actually thought it was all for her birthday.”
Oliva chimed: “I cried straight away!”
And Alex added: “Then as I got the ring out, she just said YES, YES, YES, YES!”
Optical Express has treated a number of high-profile media personalities, including Katie Price, Jodie Marsh and Demi-Rose Mawby.

In a study of 176,923 Optical Express patients with the most common prescriptions, 99.2 per cent achieved 20/20 vision or better following treatment.

Charlotte Crosby is ‘strong and single’

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Crosby is feeling “strong” following her split from Stephen Bear.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star insists she is still single after there were rumours she had reunited with her former flame.
Speaking to the Mail Online on the red carpet at the MTV EMAs held at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, she said: “I’m very strong and very single.”
Charlotte and Stephen most recently split in late October and just a couple of days later, she accused him of kissing someone else “48 hours” after they broke up.
Taking to Twitter a couple of weeks ago, Charlotte alleged that the 27-year-old reality star “necked on” with another girl in a nightclub “in front of everyone” just two days after they decided to go their separate ways.
In a series of tweets which have now been deleted, she wrote: “I can’t believe stuck by someone for so long…for it to take 48 hours for them to be necking on with someone in a club In front of everyone [applause emoji] …
“When you try and tell every1 some1 is different and you have there back thru and thru. And they go and prove you wrong (sic)”
And fans had speculated about Charlotte’s claims, with one writing: “Yeah he was going around telling people they hadn’t been together for 2 weeks (sic)”
Whilst Charlotte replied: “A day and a half (sic)”
However, Stephen’s representative said the former couple had called it quits and did so “on good terms”.
They said: “I can confirm that sadly Stephen and Charlotte ended their relationship last week. The pair ended on good terms, and no one else was involved whatsoever.”

Luke Pasqualino could’ve stayed on Our Girl for longer

OHMYGOSSIP — Luke Pasqualino could’ve filmed more episodes for ‘Our Girl’.
Fans of the army drama were left devastated earlier this month when hunky Special Forces solider Elvis Harte – played by the 27-year-old actor – was unexpectedly killed after he was blown up by a bomb – just moments after he proposed to his on/off girlfriend Georgie Lane (Michelle Keegan) – while on a mission.
But, although he had no choice but to bow out of the show because he’s tied to ‘Snatch’ for five years, Luke thinks he probably could’ve stayed for a little longer because the hurricanes in Puerto Rico delayed filming for the crime drama.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: “Sony would only release me for four episodes initially. Obviously, ‘Snatch’ got pushed [with season two being delayed by hurricanes in Puerto Rico] so I probably could’ve done more, but that was initially what it was.”
After his handsome alter-ego was killed off, fans threatened to boycott the show, but Luke thinks they will forget all about it by the time series four rolls around.
He explained: “The Elvis / Georgie relationship is gone now and that’s a frustration for them. I don’t want Elvis to be forgotten about, but I think they’ll be able to put it to one side and get used to the fact that he’s not gonna be there.
“I think it’s the initial knee-jerk reaction to say ‘I’m never gonna watch it again!’ but I think when the next series comes out, then people will be craving it. I think by the time season four comes around, they’ll be ready for their next ‘Our Girl’ fix. Hopefully, fingers crossed, they’ll tune back in.”
But if viewers don’t tune back in, it’ll all be his fault because he was the one who suggested killing off Elvis in a dramatic explosive.
He said: “Tony and I sat down and we spoke about potential avenues which we could explore for Elvis’s exit. I think I was the one who first came up with the idea of killing him off and giving him this big exit, and Tony liked the idea.
“Then we came up with the idea of Elvis and Georgie getting back together – they’re gonna get married and they’re gonna live that happy life that everybody wanted to see. But it wouldn’t be good drama if everything was sunshine and rainbows, so we had to snatch it away from the audience.”

Sir David Jason is considering retiring

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir David Jason is considering retiring.
The ‘Only Fools and Horses’ star – who turned 77 this year – admits there are times when he thinks about packing in his job, especially after long days on set.
He said: “I sometimes feel that it’s time to retire, especially when I work such long hours. Production teams are always pushing to get a quart into a pint pot.
“If I’ve been rehearsing, I shut down when I get home. I put my feet up and don’t want anyone to speak to me. I just want a glass of Rioja. Of an evening, I like to watch informative programmes, such as ‘Horizon’, or wildlife programmes with David Attenborough.”
But for the mean time at least, David wants to carry on and tries his best to keep a good work/life balance by “enjoying both in equal measure”.
He added: “We try to keep our evenings quiet and tranquil – I don’t use social media at all and any phone calls are kept to the daytime or early evening. The last thing I do before bedtime at around 10.30pm, or a little earlier if I’m working the next day, is take my script and put it next to the bed, ready for my morning’s revision.
“My motto for a work/life balance is to enjoy both in equal measure. I do realise that I am lucky in my chosen career. I wouldn’t swap it for the world.”
And David enjoys being able to pick and choose his work so he can spend time with his daughter Sophie, 16.
Speaking to The Sunday Times magazine, he added: “When I became a dad for the first time at the age of 61, I had mixed feelings due to fear, but because I was in the fortunate position of being able to pick and choose my work, I could give more time to Sophie.”

Tony Audenshaw’s wife’s battle with cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Audenshaw’s wife battled pancreatic cancer whilst his on-screen spouse fought a brain tumour.
The ‘Emmerdale’ star – who plays Bob Hope in the ITV soap – has revealed how his wife Ruth battled with the disease until her untimely death at the age of 43 in April this year.
Ruth was hoping to get life-saving surgery in Germany after doctors here in the UK said they were unable to operate as the tumour was wrapped around an artery.
However, Ruth was dealt another blow when she found out the cancer had spread to her liver.
Tony said: “The surgeon said, ‘Yes, I can do it, this is your chance’. The operation sounded horrendous to me, but Ruth said, ‘I want it done’. She might die on the table, but from her point of view it was worth it because it gave her a chance …
“They told us the cancer had spread to her liver and she had multiple tumours. It was terminal. But Ruth was incredible. She said, ‘I’ve not got long left. I’m going to enjoy my life while I can’. We treated those last months like our retirement.”
And whilst Ruth “knew it was too late” for her, she did all she could to help others and donated some of her cells to be used in research ahead of her untimely passing.
He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She knew it was too late for her, but she wanted to help others. Two weeks before she died she had some of her cells harvested to be used in research trials. They might be pivotal in some kind of breakthrough. I have to hope so.
“That’s what Ruth was all about. She was a brilliant person. She was so brave. It’s really unfair that she’s gone, but my life was enriched so much by spending 24 years with her.”

Ant McPartlin ‘excirted’ to be back on I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant McPartlin is “excited to be back” hosting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The creepy-crawly show is set to return to screens next weekend – two weeks later than usual – but it wasn’t known whether the 41-year-old presenter would be well enough to host alongside his partner Declan Donnelly after he checked into rehab over the summer for addiction to prescription pills and alcohol following his knee surgery.
But he has admitted he’s feeling “great” following his treatment and has now touched down in Brisbane, Australia, ready for the new series with his 42-year-old co-host.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Ant said: “I’m excited to be back, I can’t wait.
“It’s going to be a good show. I’m feeling great. The flight [to Australia] was all right, I had a lot of sleep and me and Dec had a good catch-up.”
And the feeling is mutual for Dec as he’s glad he has his partner back by his side and has teased that the new series will be full of “little added twists.”
He explained: “I’m looking forward to spending more time with him.
“It’s brilliant to be back together, it’s perfect. Everything just slotted back into place. We can’t wait and we’re raring to go. We are really excited. We’ll have the same old shenanigans, but with a few little added twists. We just can’t wait to get in and get going now. We’ve been waiting for ages, it’s been a long summer break so we can’t wait.”
Not much else is known about the forthcoming series, but it’s believed The Saturdays’ Vanessa White, Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, Boris Johnson’s father Stanley Johnson, boxer Amir Khan, Hollyoaks’ Jamie Lomas, YouTube star Jack Maynard, former Chelsea footballer Dennis Wise and Coronation Street’s Jennie McAlpine will take part int he show after they were spotted touching down in Brisbane.
