Prince William's baby jokes

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William joked about baby poop during an official engagement on Sunday (25.09.16).
The 34-year-old royal and his wife Duchess Catherine – who have children Prince George, three, and Princess Charlotte, 16 months, together – visited Sheway Pregnancy Outreach Program, a charity which helps mothers overcome addiction, in Vancouver, and three-month-old baby Hunter had to greet the couple in just a nappy and blanket after relieving himself just moments before he and his mother Jordanna Coleman met the special guests.
Jordanna told People magazine: “Hunter had a royal poop just as they were coming to meet us.
“Will was like, ‘Oh, they always have the best timing, don’t they?’ ”
The couple were gifted teddies with customised red and black vests for their children – who remained at Government House in Victoria – by the organisation.
Catherine said: “Thank you so much, Charlotte will love this, she loves her teddies.”
William added: “George too, he’s a big fan, thank you so much.”
He then complimented the youngsters who had taken part in the session.
He said: “You’re all such well behaved children. I’m so impressed!”
Elsewhere on a busy day of royal engagements, the Canadian women’s rugby team poked fun at the prince over their victory over England to take the bronze medal at the recent Rio Olympics.
William spoke to the sportswomen at the Telhus Garden building and couldn’t fail to spot the medals dangling from their necks.
One of the captains. Ghislaine Landry, said afterwards: “He played rugby as a younger person so he brought up that and asked how the Olympics were and our experiences…
“I think beating Great Britain in the bronze was maybe a little too much for him so that was the main joke of the conversation.
“The Prime Minister Justin Trudeau brought it up at first so [William] just had to bow his head a little bit, but it’s all in good sportsmanship of course.
“But Olympic medals are pretty hard to come by and he obviously recognised the work and the time that went into that.”

Prince George excited to sleep on plane

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George and Princess Charlotte were “super excited” about sleeping on a plane.
The young royals endured a nine-hour flight to join their parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine on their official tour of Canada, but thankfully didn’t seem to find the long journey too stressful.
Catherine told local dignitaries in Victoria: [The children were] super excited about the fact they were going to sleep on a plane.”
The family are based at Government House – the home of British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon – and William and Catherine left three-year-old George and 16-month-old Charlotte there while they greeted well-wishers in Victoria.
William told Aurora Vandall: “I hope the children aren’t tearing up the Governor’s House right now.”
And his wife was concerned that the youngsters were getting enough rest, telling 13-year-old Victoria Foster – who gave her flowers on behalf of charity Children’s Wish – she hoped the children were asleep.
However, she also admitted she thought George in particular would have had a good time if they’d brought him out with them.
Loreen Topping said: “She told me she wished she had brought Prince George down tonight because he would have loved all the lights.”
And when they returned to the residence, it seemed the couple had got their wish for the kids to sleep as William joked: “It sounds quiet!”
The family are in Canada until next weekend and are looking forward to exploring the country.
Catherine told dignitaries at the official welcome ceremony: “Both of us love mountains and there seems to be a lot of them here.
“We can’t wait to explore.
“There is a lot to do in a short period of time.”
The royal couple have already taken on a number of official engagements in the first two days of the tour.

Princess Beatrice's blind date

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Beatrice went on a blind date last week.
The 28-year-old royal split from long-term partner Dave Clark in Australia but has already “broken the ice” and got back into the dating scene.
However, things didn’t go according to plan with her mystery suitor, as he had no idea he was being set up with a member of the British royal family and was left sweating and shaking with nerves throughout their meeting.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “Bea went on a date with a man who arrived with flowers but was left pouring with sweat when he realised who his date was.
“Beatrice found it very funny – it was great to break the ice, great practice and he was a great guy, she said.”
Being single doesn’t seem to have affected Beatrice’s social life as she was supermodel Karlie Kloss’ “date” to a wedding over the weekend.
Karlie, 24, shared a picture of herself with the princess outside the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France, where they were celebrating the nuptials of art collector and dealer Alberto “Tico” Mugrabi and Colby Jordan.
She captioned the Instagram post: “My wedding date.”
It was previously claimed Beatrice and Dave had gone their separate ways because he didn’t want to get married.
A source explained: “After ten years together, Beatrice and Dave had to wonder why they were not married.
“They talked it through and decided to take time apart to reflect on the future. They remain friends and the decision to break up was mutual.”
And after the duo agreed that marriage was not a likely prospect in the near future, they decided to terminate their relationship altogether.
The source shared: “Beatrice has become a lot more assertive and confident recently. She gave Dave an ultimatum, but it backfired because he did not ask her to marry him. They both agreed that with no marriage in their future, it was time to go separate ways.”

Prince William and Duchess Catherine's Canadian charity visit

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William and the Duchess Catherine are to visit a charity that supports pregnant women battling addiction in Vancouver on Sunday (25.09.16).
One of the royal couple’s first engagements will be a trip to Sheway, which has been looking after mothers-to-be since 1993.
The organisation’s manager, Patti Zettel, says their visit to the centre will be a “wonderful closing of the loop” of the work Princess Diana, William’s late mother, did when she was alive.
She said: “It shows a commitment to a particular group of marginalised individuals – women and addiction – for a quarter of a century now by the royal family.”
While William and Catherine, both 34, will only stay for an hour, But Patti says it will be more than beneficial to the users of the facilities at Sheway.
According to BBC News, she said: “It’s a validation that their lives and their experiences have meaning and that their stories deserve to be told.”
William and Catherine will head to Canada with Prince George, three, and 16-month-old Princess Charlotte on Saturday (24.09.16) for the start of an eight-day visit.
The trip will be Charlotte’s first foreign engagement and she is expected to get special treatment with officials at Government House planning to build her a lavish soft-toy nursery to play in.
What’s more, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire have also arranged a meal plan for the youngsters.
Nanny Maria Borrallo will look after the pair while their parents carry out royal engagements, but the kids are expected to attend a children’s party for military families in Canada.
A Kensington Palace spokesperson recently said: “This is a great opportunity for them to introduce their children to a major realm before things like schools make it difficult later on.”

Ellie Goulding enjoys Chinese with royals

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Goulding had dinner with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in London on Thursday night (22.09.16).
The ‘Still Falling For You’ singer performed an intimate concert at London’s One Marylebone for MasterCard holders and afterwards, she headed to Chinese restaurant Cjina Tang in Mayfair with the royal sisters and their mother the Duchess of York.
Eugenie, 26, was there with her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, 29, and the pair walked hand-in-hand through the streets of the capital.
The 29-year-old pop star has been a good friend of the royal family ever since she performed at Prince William and Duchess Catherine’s wedding in April 2011.
There she became close with Prince Harry, 32, and was rumoured to be dating him for a while, although she insisted they were simply good friends.
The flame-haired hunk – whose last serious relationship was with Chelsy Davy for five years until 2009 – was seen getting close to the blonde beauty at the Audi Polo Challenge months ago but insiders insist they were just “playing up” to friends and the prince loves the fact he can be “silly” with the ‘Burn’ hitmaker.
At the time, a source said: “They kissed but it was fun and flirty. They spent the whole time playing up to friends and having a giggle together there. He loves her company and always says she’s a breath of fresh air. Harry thinks Ellie is gorgeous and has admitted comparing her to Chelsy. Like her, Ellie is relaxed easy-going, keeps herself to herself and they can be silly together He finds her easy to be around.”
Though Ellie – who split from McFly bassist Dougie Poynter in March – gets along well with Harry’s brother Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine, there won’t be a serious romance between her and Harry as she isn’t “in the market” to join the royal family.
The source added: “That life isn’t for her. If she did want to step up they would still have all the laughs and banter, but she has joked that she isn’t in the market for princess-hood.
“They have fun together, but first and foremost they are good friends and that’s how they intend on keeping it. It means the world to Harry to have Ellie in his inner circle.”

Prince William fears for African elephants

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William fears the Africa elephant will be distinct within the next two decades.
The 34-year-old royal – who has been a patron of the charity Tusk since 2005, which funds conservation projects in Africa – gave a speech on Thursday (22.09.16) in which he expressed his concern that since 1982, when the Duke of Cambridge was born, there were one million of the large animals on earth, but in 2015 there are only 350,000 left.
Speaking at the Time For Change event at London landmark The Shard, William – who has three-year-old Prince George and 16-month-old Princess Charlotte with his wife Duchess Catherine, 34 – said: “By the time my daughter Charlotte was born last year, the numbers of Savannah elephants had crashed to just 350,000.
“At the current pace of illegal poaching, when Charlotte turns 25 the African elephant will be gone from the wild.
“We have the chance to say that rhino horn does not cure anything and does not need a legal market.”
William attended a Tusk event last year and urged for protection of the “natural world”
At the time, he said: “People often ask me why I am so passionate about this cause. There are many reasons, but one of the most obvious is because of the human impact.
“As the world’s population becomes more and more urbanised, an increasing number of people will grow up with little or no connection to the natural world. This will become a major challenge for conservationists. If people cannot see it, they will never learn to value it, or worse still will take little interest in looking after it.”
“The planet and our natural resources is not something we can afford to squander.”

Princess Anne back to work

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Anne undertook her first royal engagement in two weeks yesterday (21.09.16) after falling ill.
The 66-year-old royal was hospitalised earlier this month with a chest infection, but she was back to work on Wednesday when she visited Bunn Fertiliser in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, south east England, ahead of the company’s 200th anniversary this year.
The Princess Royal was seen discussing fertilisers with some of Bunn’s employees.
Fears grew for Anne after it was revealed she had been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland on September 7 and cancelled all of her upcoming engagements because she was “feeling unwell”.
It was later confirmed Anne had been battling a bad chest infection and advised by doctors to take some time off from her duties.
The royal was expected to visit HM Prison Grampian in Peterhead the day after but postponed the trip.
She has had a jam-packed schedule this summer after returning from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where she went to check out the team’s training grounds in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Anne was introduced to the Team Great Britain athletes including marathon swimmer Kerri-Anne Payne, as well as Brazilian athletes.
The mother of two – who has daughter Zara, 35, and son Peter, 38, with her former husband Mark Phillips – continued her tour and visited the Federal University of Minas Gerias, the site of the athletics and swimming training areas.

Prince Harry's Colour Sargeant praise

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has praised his former army Colour Sargeant for giving him “confidence” following the death of his mother.
The 32-year-old royal was just 12 years old when his mum, Princess Diana, tragically died in a car crash in Paris in August 1997, and he admitted his senior at Sandhurst military academy was instrumental in inspiring him to “push forward” with his life.
He said: “I was at a stage in my life when I was probably lacking a bit in guidance. I lost my mum when I was very young and suddenly I was surrounded by a huge number of men in the army.
“He was someone who teased me at the right moments and gave me the confidence to look forward, to actually have that confidence in yourself to know who you are and to push forward and try to help others.”
Harry made the comments at a youth mentor training even in Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, as part of The Diana Award, which was set up in tribute to his late mum.
The flame-haired royal met several inspirational youngsters at the event, including Jamie McIntosh, 17, who wrote a book aimed at teenagers who are trying to deal with grief following the passing of his mother to breast cancer.
Harry said: “That’s what’s it all about, it’s trying to stop other kids in your position having to go through what you had to go through and now your book is going to help everyone around you.
“If anybody around me ever has any grief, especially close family, you feel as though you can help because you’ve got the experience and that’s what mentoring is all about.”

Prince George's Canada ducks

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be able to play with rubber ducks at their base in Canada.
Prince William and Duchess Catherine will head to the north American country with their kids on the weekend and the youngsters will no doubt be delighted when they walk around the gardens of British Columbia’s Government House in Victoria to discover the plastic animals in the fountain.
A crew of 150 volunteers spruce up the house’s gardens every Tuesday and Thursday and put the ducks out while working.
While they are usually removed afterwards until the next session, the inflatables will remain in the water feature for the whole week of the royal visit, according to CBC News.
William and Catherine, both 34, will head to Canada with George, three, and 16-month-old Charlotte on Saturday (24.09.16) for the start of an eight-day visit.

Prince Harry impresses with Dab dance move

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry impressed a group of girls when he showed off a “Dab” dance move on Tuesday (20.09.16).
The 31-year-old royal was attending a youth mentor training event in Aberdeen, Scotland, when he put on some shapes and one in particular, known as The Dab, seemed to impress onlookers who were seen with open-mouthed expressions on their faces.
The move was originally made famous by NFL star Cam Newton, who plays for the Carolina Panthers and performs it as his celebration when he scores a touchdown.
One standout performance was in November 15, 2015 when the Panthers were facing the Tennessee Titans and Newton celebrated with the move in the faces of some of the opposing players.
To perform The Dab, a dancer drops his head while raising his arm and elbow at the same time.
Some have compared the move to sneezing.
Manchester United footballer Paul Pogba has also been known to perform the dance when he scores a goal.
Harry’s shapes come less than a week after his elder brother, Prince William, 34, tried his hand at dancing at a youth centre in London.
William attempted a “shoulder shiver” with some of the young visitors to Caius House Youth Centre in Battersea, but, unlike Harry, he failed to impress.
As he tried to copy the moves of the Scariofunk Dance Collective, a street dance crew from the English capital, he said: “I can never get the shoulder shiver right. There is no pressure, because I will look ridiculous.”

Prince Charles and Camilla to visit Oman

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla will travel to Oman, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in November.
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall will head to the three nations to help “strengthen” the UK’s “bilateral relations” in the area.
Clarence House said in a statement: “On behalf of the British Government, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will undertake official visits to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates in November 2016.
“The tour will help to strengthen the United Kingdom’s warm bilateral relations with key partners in the region.”
But it’s not the first time Charles and Camilla have visited the area.
Just last year, Charles spent time in the UAE and did so beforehand in 2014 along with Bahrain.
He was accompanied by Camilla for a visit to Oman in 2013, and the pair both went to Bahrain and the UAE in February 2007.
Before then, Charles, 67, carried out several solo trips to the region, including visiting Oman and UAE in November 2003 and 2004 respectively.
He first visited Oman in December 1980 and later returned in 1986 when he also went to Bahrain, and three years later the UAE.

Prince Harry is Britain's favourite runner up

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has been crowned Britain’s favourite runner up.
The 32-year-old royal – who was Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana’s second born child after Prince William – has been voted the nation’s most loved underdog after 30 per cent of the vote put him above the likes of retired tennis player Tim Henman and former England soccer star Steven Gerrard.
Harry was a favourite among 40 per cent of the ladies taking part in the recent survey of 2,000 Brits, which was conducted to celebrate the return of PizzaExpress’ much-loved Etna pizza, which is available exclusively on Deliveroo from today (20.09.16).
It was the battle of the flame-haired beings at the summit of the poll as Harry took the top spot followed by the red squirrel, which was runner up in life once again with 29 per cent of the vote.
Former British ski jumper Eddie the Eagle finished third with 24 per cent, while Tim Henman missed out on a place in the top two once again, much like his tennis career, with a fourth placed finish after 13 per cent of the vote.
Buzz Aldrin – the second man to ever walk on the moon – was fifth with 12 per cent, followed by a pre-2016 Leonardo DiCaprio, before he won an Oscar, with 11 per cent, and former ‘X Factor’ runner-up Olly Murs with 10 per cent.
Others to make the top 10 were Gerrard, who missed out on winning the Premier League with his beloved Liverpool, Susan Boyle, who was second in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, and ‘Harry Potter’ character Neville Longbottom.
Deliveroo spokesperson Kate Thomas said: “Brits love an underdog – and so do we! At Deliveroo we’re all about awesome food – whether it’s the obvious favourite or something new that surprises people.
“The battle between the Etna and the Rustichella was fierce – and even though the Etna just lost out, there was so much love for it, we’re delighted to announce that it is back and available exclusively on our platform!”
The Etna pizza is available exclusively on Deliveroo.co.uk from today.

Prince William nicknamed will.i.am

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William is nicknamed “will.i.am” by his air ambulance colleagues.
The 34-year-old royal – who has kids Prince George, three, and 16-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with wife Duchess Catherine – has the moniker etched onto his coffee mug at the East Anglian Air Ambulance base.
William admitted he loves being part of the crew because he gets to be a team player much more so than when he is working at royal engagements.
He said: “When I put my air ambulance hat on, and I come here and I fly, I’m one of the team.
“I really look forward to coming here every day.
“And I love working as a team: that’s something that my other job doesn’t necessarily do: you are more out there on your own a little bit.”
The air ambulance pilot also admitted one of the reasons he enjoys going to work is because he feels he can make a “difference”.
Speaking to the BBC Future website, he added: “I want to be a valuable member of the team … at the end of the day [I want to] feel like I have made a difference and a contribution to whatever it is I’ve done that day.”
