Pippa Middleton will get married next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Pippa Middleton is reportedly set to wed next year.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister has finally put in place marital plans with her 41-year-old fiancé, and is set to tie the knot on May 20, 2017 at the Saint Mark’s Englefield in Berkshire, Surrey, according to US Weekly.
It has been reported the couple and their guests will travel seven miles to the 33 year old’s parents’ home in Bucklebury to enjoy the wedding reception, which will be held in a luxury marquee in the garden.
And Pippa’s niece Prince Charlotte – who is the youngest child of Prince William and Catherine – will be one of the flower girls on their special day.
The source said: “Princess Charlotte is going to be one of the flower girls.”
And so not to be left out Prince George is in talks to be his auntie’s page boy.
The source continued: “They’re planning for Prince George to be a page boy.”
However, the insider has claimed Catherine – who is also known as Kate Middleton – will not be a bridesmaid or Maid of honour to her sibling, although it is rumoured she may do a reading.
Although there is growing speculation fashion designer Giles Deacon will create her marital gown, it has yet to be confirmed, as Pippa wants to “explore her options” and has an entire folder filled with ideas and magazine cut outs to help her decide.
A separate source said: “Very chic, very classic. Think antique, ivory, and a twist like adding lace. She hasn’t picked the final look, but it was important to explore her options before going for bridal gown fittings. She took lots of photos on her phone and was really excited. She has a folder of magazine cuttings and pictures she has taken.”
And the star has even dwelled over her flower arrangements.
Another insider added: “She was inside looking at bridal bouquet mock-ups for an hour.”

Prince Harry's reportedly broken Buckingham Palace protocol

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has reportedly broken Buckingham Palace protocol by detouring to visit girlfriend Meghan Markle.
The 32-year-old royal – who has been dating the brunette beauty since May this year – is rumoured to have gone against the code of conduct after he took a pit-stop via Canada to see his new flame after his 15-day tour to the Caribbean, according to the Mail Online.
Harry was expected to fly home to London on Sunday (04.12.16) because he had already made prior commitments in London to attend a charity event in the capital.
A representative for Kensington Palace has failed to comment on Harry’s actions, yet it had been reported royal officers had informed the media Harry would be on board a British Airways Flight home.
This news comes after a close friend of Harry’s revealed his intentions were out of love, and he decided to board a different flight to Toronto to see Meghan because the flame-haired hunk missed his other half, having not seen one another for almost three weeks.
Speaking previously about Harry’s actions, a source said: “Harry just couldn’t wait to see her. He was due to fly back to London on a British Airways flight with the rest of his entourage.
“But he changed his mind and diverted straight to see her as they couldn’t bear to be apart.
“It’s just another sign of how head-over-heels he is about her. He is absolutely besotted. We’ve never seen him so happy – it’s great.”
However, claims Harry has gone against royal orders doesn’t bow well for him after he vowed to ditch his former image to be “good”.
Former royal reporter Tom Bradby previously said: “There is, he says, too much focus on the bad news in life. It’s great to be good, he tells us, and boring to be bad.”

Prince Andrew wants daughter's future husbands to have status

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Andrew wants to convince the Queen to give his daughter’s future husbands earldoms.
The 56-year-old royal – who is one of the Queen’s sons – has reached out to his mother and his older brother Prince Charles to help improve the status of his daughters Princess Beatrice, 28, and Princess Eugenie, 26, as well as their partners, because he doesn’t want his grandchildren to be viewed as lower class “commoners”.
Speaking about the reason behind the Duke of York’s plan in Ephraim Hardcastle’s column in the Daily Mail newspaper, a source said: “His daughters’ children will be commoners, defined as one of the ordinary or common people, as opposed to the aristocracy or to royalty.”
However, the Royal convention ensures all of the monarch’s children claim the title Her Royal Highness, which is then subsequently inherited by her grandchildren, who are born to her sons.
And if Beatrice or Eugenie marry non-aristocrats or to anyone who is not considered a royal and decide to have a family, their children will have no right to the title, which Andrew doesn’t agree with.
This news comes after a recent discussion over whether Andrew’s daughters – who are seventh and eighth in line to the throne – should be given full-time royal duties, to be funded by tax-payers and to reside in the apartments at Kensington Palace.
Although Andrew is in favour of allowing his brood more prominent roles within the Royal family, Prince Charles – who has sons Prince William and Prince Harry – reportedly disapproves of the request.
And it has been reported the 90-year-old monarch was undecided how to settle the dispute, she passed it on to her private secretary, Sir Christopher Geidt, to come up with a solution.

The Queen's measurements for waxwork jumper are 'top secret'

OHMYGOSSIP — The Queen’s measurements for her Madame Tussauds waxwork jumper were “top secret”.
The 90-year-old royal’s top size was kept under wraps prior to creating the festive jumper, which has a corgi dog wearing a crown embroidered on the front, for her statue, according to the knitwear designer Amber Hards.
The new waxwork figures of the Royal family adorning Christmas jumpers is in a bid to help Save the Children charity.
The creative mastermind has admitted creating the garment for the monarch’s still figure was a “surreal” experience.
She told BBC News: “I had the most surreal conversation with Madame Tussauds.
“They [Madame Tussauds] didn’t say it was top secret – but I better not say.”
The woollen garment was handmade using lambs wool and gold lurex, which took 20 hours for Amber to complete.
And Amber has revealed prior to designing the piece she scoured through the internet in search of the Queen’s precise waistline and bust size, but couldn’t find a single measurement.
She explained: “Before I got the measurements of the wax work sent to me – I tried to find out what size the Queen was on Google but it didn’t say.
“But the jumper is nice and breathable, which is always important for a waxwork.”
Not only was Amber told to keep the Queen’s dress size secret, she was also advised to come up with something “more tasteful” than most festive knitwear pieces, and not to embed “shoddy lights” to the garment.
She said: “They wanted a corgi with a crown but nothing tacky and no shoddy lights – it had got to be more tasteful.”
The royal waxworks can now be seen in the popular London attraction throughout this month.

Princess Eugenie sparks rumours she is engaged

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Eugenie has sparked rumours she is engaged after sporting a ring on her wedding finger.
The 26-year-old royal – who is the daughter of Prince Andrew and his former partner Sarah – has been dating her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, 30, for six years after the pair met in 2010, and have prompted rumours they have taken their romance to the next step after the brunette beauty was spotted leaving private members’ club LouLous with a sparkly gem on her hand.
The royal sported a black dress with a teal-coloured coat for the evening, and appeared to be very pleased with herself as she left the hotspot with her beau.
The pair have previously got tongues wagging a wedding may be on the horizon when Eugenie took James to Balmoral to meet with her grandmother The Queen.
And it was believed during their trip Jack was set to ask the monarch for her granddaughter’s hand in marriage.
However, the pair have made a conscious effort to silence these rumours.
When previously asked by the Mail on Sunday about their future together and if the pair will be tying the knot any time soon, Eugenie said: “No. I’m not engaged.”.
Whilst Jack – who manages London’s Mayfair nightclub Mahiki – recently confirmed: “Definitely not engaged.”
And the 57-year-old Duchess of York has insisted her child is not planning to wed just yet.
When asked earlier this year if they are engaged, Sarah laughed and said: “No.”
However, sources close to the royal family are full of praise for Jack.
An insider said: “He is a really lovely chap. They adore each other and are really serious.”

Speaking to PEOPLE about her holiday rituals, the brunette beauty said: “When I’m traveling, I won’t miss an opportunity to try great pasta.”
And the ‘Suits’ actress has revealed “every year” without fail she returns from her vacation with a “food baby” because she has over indulged, and the star has admitted she is so used to the growing stomach after her trips she has named it.
She explained: “I come back from vacation every year with a food baby, and I’ve named her Comida (Spanish for food). I get to the set and I’m like, ‘Hey, Comida’s here, and she’s kicking.'”
And Meghan has admitted she has two particular “vices”, which she claims have their own food group in her mind.
Meghan – who has her own lifestyle blog titled ‘The Tig’ after her all-time favourite red wine Tignanello – explained: “French fries and vino are my vices.
“It’s its own food group for me.”
Meanwhile, Meghan has been spotted wearing a 14 karat gold necklace with her and the flame-haired royals initials on whilst out in Toronto, Canada, which was made by Los Angeles-based designer Maya Brenner.
A spokesman for the company confirmed the 35-year-old actress was in fact wearing one of their pieces.

Queen Elizabeth escorted out of hotel to avoid intruder

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Elizabeth was escorted out of a London hotel yesterday (06.12.16) after an intruder ran inside.
The 90-year-old monarch was enjoying a private lunch at the Goring Hotel in London’s Belgravia when the guy reportedly waved his arms around before sprinting through the front door in the early afternoon.
The royal was ushered out of the establishment by managing director David Morgan-Hewitt.
According to Mail Online, witnesses claimed the man appeared drunk and was spotted on the Tube before the incident.
One witness quoted the guy as saying: “I’m Irish, I’m hard as f**k.”
Describing what they saw happen on the London Underground, they said: “He was crawling around on the Tube picking up empty cans and sucking out what was left.”
After the Goring Hotel incident, the intruder was stopped by a man in a suit, who was thought to be a royal protection officer, and was patted down by officers who let him go.
But it is not known why he entered the building.
It’s not the first time the queen has come close to an intruder.
In 1982, Michael Fagan broke into Buckingham Palace on two separate occasions, and the second time he ended up in the monarch’s bedroom after entering the royal household by climbing up a drainpipe.
While some reports claimed he sat on her bed, he admitted in a later interview that she ran out of the room to get help.
Speaking about the July 1982 incident in 2012, he said: “It was a double bed but a single room, definitely – she was sleeping in there on her own.
“Her nightie was one of those Liberty prints and it was down to her knees.
“She went past me and ran out of the room; her little bare feet running across the floor.”
He also claimed to have entered the Palace a month earlier, where spent 30 minutes eating cheese and crackers, drinking wine, and wandering around before leaving.

Prince Harry vows to 'be good'

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has vowed to ditch his former image to be “good”.
The 32-year-old royal – who is dating 35-year-old actress Meghan Markle – has revealed his outlook on life is “it’s great to be good”, after previously being involved in some controversial incidents.
Former royal reporter Tom Bradby said: “There is, he says, too much focus on the bad news in life. It’s great to be good, he tells us, and boring to be bad.”
Harry’s comments will be shown on a forthcoming ITV documentary which will air later this month and in which he will speak to Tom about his charity work as well as his past, present and future.
Tom added to the Radio Times magazine: “The film is also rather revealing about who he is and where he is in life.
“He talks candidly about the past, the present and his own future. But mostly he talks about how fired up he is about his position and what he can do with it.”
Harry has had several controversial moments, including being snapped wearing a bra and a wig while holding a beer during a night out, and in 2002 when he was 17 the flame-haired royal admitted he had been drinking underage and smoking cannabis.
What’s more, he was pictured wearing a Nazi uniform to a fancy dress party in 2005, and in 2012, naked photos of him playing strip billiards in Las Vegas leaked online.

Prince William presents Alan Shearer with CBE

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William presented Alan Shearer with a CBE yesterday (06.12.16).
The 34-year-old royal – who is president of the Football Association – handed over the honour to the former England football captain at Buckingham Palace, and the ‘Match of the Day’ pundit admitted he felt “proud” to have been recognised.
He tweeted afterwards: “Very honoured and proud to receive my CBE today in recognition of my charity work. Thank you to everyone who supports me.”
The former footballer retweeted the message on his Alan Shearer Foundation account, which is a fundraising arm for the Alan Shearer Centre, a free facility for disabled children and adults.
Shearer launched his foundation in 2012 with the aim of raising £250,000 a year to provide support for disabled kids and adults in his home city, Newcastle.
Queen Elizabeth announced in her birthday honours that the star would be recognised for his charity work.
He said at the time: “Footballers often get criticised these days for not giving enough back. I had my testimonial in 2006 and I used that money to set up my foundation and it has gone on from strength to strength.
“I was determined not just to hand the money over but to take an active part in it and help run it.”
William is a big fan of one of Britain’s most successful football clubs, Aston Villa, who famously relegated Shearer’s Newcastle from the Premier League on the final day of the season in May 2009 when the former England striker was caretaker manager at the club.

Camilla tells Lady Gaga they have same nickname

OHMYGOSSIP — Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, has told Lady Gaga they share the same nickname.
The 69-year-old royal met the singing sensation at the Royal Variety Performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo last night (06.12.16), and greeted her by saying her grandchildren – Prince George, three, and 19-month-old Princess Charlotte – call her the same as the ‘Bad Romance’ hitmaker.
She said: “My grandchildren call me Gaga.”
Camilla and Prince Charles met several stars at the spectacle, including singer Robbie Williams and host David Walliams, who couldn’t resist poking fun at the pair.
As he led a group of people up to the royal box he asked the couple: “Can I see your tickets please?”
He then turned back to the group and quipped: “There’s some riff-raff here sitting in your seats.”
While Charles and Camilla appeared to be enjoying themselves as they met celebs on the red carpet, the 68-year-old prince is not a big fan of the Royal Variety Performance.
Comedian Michael McIntyre recently revealed he asked the Prince of Wales about the annual entertainment bash – which was set up to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity – and the royal admitted he disliked the event.
Michael explained: “I said to Prince Charles ‘Do you like the Royal Variety’ and he just went ‘No. Sorry, I probably shouldn’t have said that.’ ”

Prince Harry's 'singing fear'

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry fears singing more than flying a helicopter in a war zone.
Gareth Malone believes the flame-haired prince isn’t a big fan of belting out a song because he is worried about looking “like an idiot”, despite the former Apache helicopter pilot having no qualms about being in hostile areas.
The choirmaster said: “I think he’s chicken. Blokes seem to fear singing like nothing else. You can send Prince Harry in an Apache helicopter into a war zone and he’d probably fear that less.
“Maybe he just doesn’t want to look like an idiot.”
Gareth recently met Harry when he was asked to form a choir for the royal’s Invictus Games – a Paralympics-style event created by Harry – but the broadcaster has admitted he was “emotionally drained” after the project.
He said: “It now ranks as my most favourite project ever, although it was my most difficult, too.
“It was just emotionally difficult. I was drained afterwards.
“The singers and I went through the wringer to create that song [‘Flesh and Blood’]. We had to bare our souls.”
Despite finding the process tough, Gareth insists Harry was a “lovely guy” and he was pleased to see just how committed he is to his charity work.
Speaking to OK! magazine, he added: “He’s a lovely, lovely guy. Very easy to talk to and incredibly committed to these charitable causes. I’m not trying to flatter him, but he was exactly as you’d hope.”

Shirley Bassey's awkward Queen chat

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Shirley Bassey once had an awkward encounter with Queen Elizabeth.
The 79-year-old singer has recalled a conversation she had with the 90-year-old monarch in which her attempts to make small talk with the royal went badly wrong and the ‘Big Spender’ hitmaker feared she’d be thrown in the Tower of London.
Speaking on upcoming BBC documentary, ‘David Walliams Celebrates Dame Shirley Bassey’, to commemorate her incredible career, she said: “As the queen left I said, ‘I think we are opening the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff together soon, Ma’am.’
“And Her Majesty turned back to me quickly and said, ‘Yes, I think we are,’ as in the royal ‘we’.
“I thought I’d go to the Tower.”
Shirley is thought to have had the awkward exchange with the queen in Cardiff in 1999 to mark the opening of the Welsh Assembly.
It isn’t the only uncomfortable moment between a singer and a member of the Royal Family, though.
In 1997 at the Spice Girls’ ‘Spice World’ movie premiere Geri Horner patted Prince Charles on the derriere, but it was widely reported she had pinched his butt.
She recently said: “I didn’t pinch Prince Charles’s bum, as was reported. I patted it,’ she explained.
“Patting him on the bottom was against royal protocol but we’re all human. It was the premiere of our film, Spice World, in the late Nineties. There was a lot of nervous energy – young women, happy antics.”

Prince Williams in mental health plea to businesses

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has urged businesses to “lead conversations” about mental health in the workplace.
The 34-year-old royal set up Heads Together campaign with wife Duchess Catherine and brother Prince Harry in April to raise awareness of the subject, and has now asked companies to talk to their employees more about mental health and do more to help those affected by the condition.
In a meeting of FTSE 100 company representatives for Heads Together hosted by Unilever, he said: “Your ability as employers to effect long-lasting social change on mental health by the example you set in your workplaces is something that I strongly urge you to embrace.
“And it is not so hard – there are people here to help you.
“Outside, you have seen the impressive suite of options available to employers to help address mental health in your organisations.
“There is a lot to take in but, as a first step – for those of you new to this area – may I suggest you sign up to the Time to Change Employer Pledge.
“The Time to Change Pledge commits you to change how mental health is talked about and acted upon in your workplace, and provides a good foundation on which to build.
“Over the coming months, Heads Together and our partners will be building on the excellent work already being done by many in this room to identify gaps in support, enhance existing services and develop new solutions for mental health in the workplace.
“Heads Together aims to change the conversation on mental health and, for this, we need your experience, your expertise and your advice.
“It would also help us to get people talking if business leaders like you could lead conversations about mental health within your own workplaces.
“Without employers committed to changing attitudes, we would be pushing a rock uphill – but, with you, we can and will change the way we think about mental health in this nation.”
William – who has son Prince George, three, and 19-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with Catherine – also drew on his own experiences as an air ambulance pilot, and admitted work can be an “overwhelming” place for everyone at times.
He added: “Work, as we all know, can at times be a source of great fulfilment, growth and fun, but also at times a significant source of stress – sometimes, if we are honest, to the point of its being overwhelming.
“As a pilot working with an air ambulance charity, I have seen first-hand how work can affect individuals’ mental health.
“But I have also seen how an employer can create an environment where it is as unremarkable to talk about feeling a bit ‘down’ as it is to admit to having a cold.”

Nicholas Owen: Diana's intrusion would've been worse today

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Diana’s intrusion of privacy would’ve been “10 times worse” nowadays.
The late Princess of Wales died in a car crash in 1997 aged 36, but TV presenter and former royal correspondent Nicholas Owen has questioned how she would’ve coped in today’s age of camera phones and social media, admitting people would’ve been snapping her every second.
He said: “I’ve been thinking recently about the Princess of Wales – with the 20th anniversary of her death next year I’ve been asked to do a few things.
“I mean, imagine how she’d have coped in the world today. Imagine how many selfies she’d have been asked to be in.
“Every mobile phone would have tracked her every step. It would have been five, 10 times worse.”
Nicholas, 69, clashed with Prince Philip on occasions, but admits despite their disagreements, he considers the 95-year-old royal to be an “extraordinary man”.
He said: “The Duke of Edinburgh is always … a very interesting person to meet.
“He’s famous for the occasional acid aside, and I’ve had one or two of those from him.
“But I don’t mind that: when you consider all he’s had to do over so many years – he and the queen were married just after the Second World War – the way he’s carried off his role as consort has been amazing.
“I think he’s an extraordinary man.”
What’s more, ITN’s former royal correspondent had spats with Philip’s son Prince Charles on several occasions, but insists they got on “pretty well” overall and he has since become an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust.
He added to Country Life magazine: “Then there was the Prince of Wales. He’s about a year younger than me, and I always thought to myself, well, I was divorced father of two children as well, way back; I know how difficult that can be.
“There was a quite bit of identity of interest there – of course he lived a very different life from me and we didn’t always get on. There were times when we did fall out a bit.
“But overall we got on pretty well.”

Prince Harry: palm oil needs health warning

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has called for there to be clearer warnings about the affects palm oil has on the environment.
The 32-year-old royal stopped off at the Iwokrama International Centre on Saturday (03.12.16) where he spoke of his concerns over the use of the edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp of the fruit of the oil palms, and how it’s just as bad as tobacco smoke.
According to The Daily Express newspaper, he said: ” The demand for palm oil – it’s such a sad story.
“They should put a warning on palm oil like cigarette packets – you can use it but this is the damage it’s causing.”
Harry is known for his conservation work and spent the summer months helping relocate 500 elephants in Malawi.
He was involved in one of the biggest conservation projects in history and was praised by President Peter Mutharika.
Taking to Instagram at the time, Mutharika wrote: “I was pleased to note that His Highness, who is on a private visit to Malawi, is committed just like I am, to the conservation of wildlife and conservation and protection of nature (sic).”
Harry is not the only royal to take matters about the environment seriously.
His father, Prince Charles, recently expressed his fears for the planet.
The future king is a huge environmental campaigner and is very concerned about the “depressing trajectory” of wildlife loss on Earth and the impact it will have on Princes William and Harry.
He previously said: “As a father and grandfather I worry deeply about the world we are leaving behind for our successors. We are rapidly destroying our means of survival.
“Clearly we are not living within the environmental limits of our plants. Populations of vertebrate species have declined by more than half from 1970. We are on a deeply depressing trajectory to witness the sixth global mass extinction in our planet.
“We are ushering in a new era. It’s alarming to realise that after 4.5 billion years that a change in epoch has been due to the activities of just a single species.”
