Princess Beatrice is married

OHMYGOSSIP — Princess Beatrice is married.
The 31-year-old British royal tied the knot with Italian property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in secret at Windsor Castle on Friday (17.07.20), two months after their May nuptials were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to The Sun newspaper.
Under current government guidelines, weddings with up to 30 guests can still take place amid the lockdown restrictions and it is understood that Beatrice’s grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, both attended the ceremony.
The pair have been quarantining at Windsor Castle during the global health crisis.
It is reported that 20 guests attended the secret ceremony between Beatrice and Edoardo, 37, at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.
Meanwhile, Beatrice’s mother Sarah Ferguson recently insisted her daughter is happier than ever thanks to her romance with Edoardo.
Fergie – who also has 30-year-old daughter Princess Eugenie with ex-husband Prince Andrew – said: “Beatrice is the happiest I have ever seen her in my life. She and Edo have a great love for each other and passion for life. For them to be getting married fills my heart with joy.”
When the couple announced their engagement in September 2019, they admitted they “couldn’t wait” to get married.
The happy couple said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”

Mike Tindall’s father battling Parkinson’s

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Tindall’s father has been battling Parkinson’s for 17 years.
The rugby star – who has Mia Grace, six, and Lena Elizabeth, two, with his wife – Zara Tindall has revealed it has been tough to see his father really “deteriorate” due to his diagnosis.
He said: “My dad has had Parkinson’s for the past 17 years. Over the last few years, I’ve really seen him deteriorate.”
Mike is a patron of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust and he hopes the trust’s work will mean others won’t have to go through what he has.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper’s Shakespeare column, he added: “It’s about other sons and daughters not having to see their dad go through what I’ve seen mine go through.”
Mike hasn’t been able to see his father in lockdown, but he did recently open up about homeschooling his two daughters, which he admits has been nice but also very “frustrating”.
He shared: “Zara still has hopes that the horses will get back, they still need training and working on, so I get to be a teacher in the mornings which is sometimes really nice, sometimes really frustrating.”
The former sportsmen admits it has been tough because they are having to not only tell her off but also tell her what to do.
Speaking about his homeschooling experiences, he said: “I don’t think any child is a great homeschooler because they definitely listen to other people better than they listen to their parents. Mia can be brilliant one minute and then something you’ve seen her do a thousand times she’ll just go, ‘I don’t know how to do that’ and then you go, ‘Well I know you do’, and she’ll just say, ‘No I don’t’ and then you get frustrated, and you’re trying not to get frustrated. She enjoyed it the first week because it was different being around Mum and Dad all the time. But then, ultimately, it’s the same people who are telling her off or telling her what to do and I think then she gets bored of that.”

Duchess Meghan hasn’t ‘ruled out’ a career in politics

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan hasn’t “ruled out” a career in politics.
The ‘Suits’ star – who, alongside her husband Prince Harry, stepped down as senior royals earlier this year – believes she has a “mission” to end systemic racism in the United States and wants to make her voice heard.
A source told the DailyMail.com: “Meghan said her work as a leader is more important than ever right now and that she’s been speaking with Oprah and other community leaders on how she can be part of the solution. Meghan feels like her mission goes far beyond acting. She said she wants to use her voice for change and hasn’t ruled out a career in politics.”
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex previously admitted she felt it would be “wrong” not to speak out in the wake of George Floyd’s death.
Referencing the deaths of black people at the hands of police, she said in a video message to the graduating class of her old Los Angeles school, Immaculate Heart High: “What is happening in our country and in our state and in our hometown of LA has been absolutely devastating. I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing and I was really nervous that it would get picked apart. I realised the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing because George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered … and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know.”
Meghan – who has 13-month-old son Archie with Harry – apologised to the students for having to grow up in a world where racism is still prevalent and reflected on some advice she was given as a teenager.
She added: “I was thinking about this moment when I was a sophomore, I was 15 … it’s the year we do volunteer work. And I remember one teachers, Ms Pollia, said to me, ‘Always remember to put other’s needs above your own fears.’ That has stuck with me throughout my entire life and I have thought about it more in the last week than ever before. So the first thing I want to say to you is that I’m sorry. I’m so sorry that you have to grow up in a world where this is still present.”

Prince William announces FA Cup Final name change

OHMYGOSSIP — The 2020 FA Cup final has been renamed as the Heads Up FA Cup final to promote mental health awareness.
Title sponsor Emirates has allowed the name change for the showpiece, which will take place on August 1 at Wembley Stadium.
FA President Prince William believes that the final can be “a moment to promote good, positive mental health for everyone”.
The Duke of Cambridge added that the name change is “timely” with the concern caused by the global coronavirus pandemic.
He said: It’s quite timely bearing in mind what we’ve all been through with this pandemic (Covid-19).
“I think there’s going to be, sadly, a lot of repercussions from this in society, not just in football, in terms of people’s mental health.
“Hopefully the FA Cup can be a bit of a pivot that people can rally around.”
The 37-year-old prince has led a campaign about mental health with the FA and the Heads Together Charity thought this season, as matches earlier in the competition kicked off a minute late to give fans the chance to talk about their mental health.
Godric Smith, chairman of the Heads Up campaign, added: “Given the many different impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is more important than ever that we talk about our mental health and help support one another, and the Heads Up FA Cup Final will hopefully generate many more of those conversations amongst fans and the football community.”
The FA Cup will resume with the quarter finals on June 27 following English football’s shutdown due to the pandemic.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan 7k a day security

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are being protected by a security company which charges up to £7,000 per day.
The pair – who quit as senior members of the British Royal Family earlier this year and moved to Los Angeles -have reportedly hired Gavin de Becker & Associates, which claims to protect “over 90 of the world’s most prominent families and at-risk individuals”.
A source told The Times newspaper: “The duke and duchess have not yet hired a permanent detail. They are currently, and temporarily, using a security team that was already employed at the house where they are currently living.”
Harry and Meghan are currently living in actor-and-director Tyler Perry’s $18 million Tuscan-style villa in a gated community in Beverly Hills and they have recently had 10-foot security screens erected around the mansion.
The sprawling property boasts eight-bedrooms and 12-bathrooms and, as per HELLO!, they’ve taken some measures to protect their privacy after dog walkers and hikers were able to see into grounds as they head out for exercise as the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions begin to ease.
Harry and Meghan – who have 12-month-old son Archie together – also have security cameras all around the property, which is on an estate with 14 homes.
Their high-tech system uses infra red technology for night vision for extra reassurance.
As well as the black screens, there are also plenty of trees and plants surrounding the plot to help block the view.
Harry, 35, and Meghan, 38, are believed to have met Tyler through their close friend Oprah Winfrey, and it’s claimed their current abode is temporary.
A source said recently: “Meghan and Harry have been extremely cautious to keep their base in LA under wraps.
“Their team helped them choose the location for their transition to Los Angeles wisely.
“The area has its own guarded gate and Tyler’s property has a gate of its own which is watched by their security team.
“It is an excellent place to keep out of view. The neighbours are mostly old money and mega rich business types rather than show business gossips.
“It goes without saying that the location is stunning – just one of the most beautiful and desirable areas in LA.”

Prince Charles voices fears for the arts

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles is fearful about the future of the arts.
The 71-year-old royal is concerned about how orchestras and theatres will survive the coronavirus crisis, with venues struggling amid the lockdown.
He said: “It’s absolutely crucial that they can come back twice as enthusiastic as before.”
Prince Charles – who is a patron of the Royal Opera House – isn’t sure how the industry will recover from this point.
He told Classic FM: “They’re in terrible difficulties, of course, because how are they going to be able to restart?
“It is a very expensive art form, but it is crucial because it has such a worldwide impact … and so we have to find a way to make sure these marvellous people and organisations are going to survive through all this.”
Meanwhile, Prince Charles recently urged unemployed and furloughed Brits to become fruit pickers during the coronavirus pandemic.
He called on those people who are out of work to help the nation maintain its food supply.
In a video message, he said: “At this time of great uncertainty, many of our normal routines and regular patterns of life are being challenged.
“The food and farming sector is no exception.
“If we are to harvest British fruit and vegetables this year, we need an army of people to help.
“Food does not happen by magic; it all begins with our remarkable farmers and growers.
“If the last few weeks have proved anything, it is that food is precious and valued, and it cannot be taken for granted.
“This is why that great movement of the Second World War – the Land Army – is being rediscovered in the newly-created ‘Pick for Britain’ campaign.
“In the coming months, many thousands of people will be needed to bring in the crops.”

‘My heart goes out to them’: Prince Charles pays tribute to musicians amid coronavirus

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Charles’ “heart goes out” to musicians who are facing financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 71-year-old royal has voiced his “heartbreak” at seeing musicians and performers around the world suffer as a result of the health crisis, as their livelihoods often depend on being able to put on concerts, which have all been cancelled in order to stop large gatherings where the virus could spread.
Charles – who is a patron of the Royal Opera House – spoke as he dedicated a Classic FM show to orchestral performers, in the second of two shows titled ‘A Royal Appointment’, which were organised to celebrate Charles’ long-time support of music.
At the end of the show – which will air on Tuesday (26.05.20) – the royal says: “My heart goes out to them in these anxious times.
“It is heartbreaking to think of all the hard work that has gone into planning this year’s concert seasons, the summer music festivals, the opera and ballet productions around the country, all of which have had to be cancelled.
“You can imagine the effect on the lives and livelihoods of those incredibly gifted musicians, singers and dancers.”
The touching tribute comes after Charles also spoke about the impact of the coronavirus pandemic during the first show on Monday (25.05.20), when he said he was fearful about the future of the arts.
He said: “It’s absolutely crucial that they can come back twice as enthusiastic as before.
“They’re in terrible difficulties, of course, because how are they going to be able to restart?
“It is a very expensive art form, but it is crucial because it has such a worldwide impact … and so we have to find a way to make sure these marvellous people and organisations are going to survive through all this.”

Cressida Bonas won’t talk about Prince Harry romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Cressida Bonas “respects” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex too much to talk about her relationship with Prince Harry.
The ‘White House Farm’ actress – who dated the prince from 2012 to 2014 – finds it “strange” that she’s still asked about her royal relationship and knows she wouldn’t be very impressed to hear one of her own former partners talking about their time together.
She said: “I wouldn’t take a position on that because it would be a headline. I want to talk about my work. And also out of respect.
“What’s the expression? How would I feel if the shoe was on the other foot and it was an ex talking about me?
“It feels like a long time ago, so when it comes up it feels strange because I’m in a very different place now — I’m getting married, I’ve learned a lot. I’m much more comfortable in my own skin. I’m growing.’
And the 30-year-old beauty – who is engaged to Harry Wentworth-Stanley – admitted it has been “very hard” to be taken seriously as an actress because her famous past relationship overshadows her efforts.
She told ES magazine: “No one likes to be labelled, no matter what it is about or where they come from. The hurdles and barriers for me are when I’m trying to do my work and people want to talk about him.
“I work very hard and love what I do–I just want to continue. But it is still something I have to contend with. It is what it is. People will perhaps always ask me about it.”
Cressida – who was a guest at Harry and Meghan’s 2018 wedding – is planning her own nuptials but doesn’t want something particularly big or traditional.
She said :”I am not the most organised person — I won’t have those graphs that some brides do. I won’t have a huge wedding, that’s not really us.
“We aren’t traditional people, even though Harry proposed in a traditional way — I’ve never thought about how someone would propose to me. And I don’t want a meringue dress. People look beautiful in them but I don’t think I would.”
The full interview with Cressida appears in this week’s issue of ES Magazine.

Prince Harry’s mental health plea

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has urged people to look after their “mental fitness”.
The 35-year-old prince has helped the Rugby Football League (RFL) – of which he is patron – launch a new initiative aimed at training players, officials and volunteers to look after their own mental health and that of those around them by speaking candidly in a new video, insisting there is no need to “grin and bear it” when it comes to our wellbeing.
The video was shared on Twitter by the Rugby League World Cup 2021 account, who wrote: “#RLWC2021 are proud to become the first global sporting tournament to launch a Mental Fitness Charter.
“Find out what the initiative includes and what RFL Patron, HRH, The Duke of Sussex, has to say on the charter.”
In the accompanying video, Harry – who announced last week he and his wife Duchess Meghan are to take a step back from royal life – stressed the importance of being “mentally strong” as well as “physically fit”.
He said: “It is not just about being physically fit but more importantly mentally strong.
“The perception of rugby league is that you need to be tough. You can’t show your feelings, you need to grin and bear it.
“So, I am proud to support the Rugby League World Cup 2021 Mental Fitness Charter. This Charter will build on the brilliant work already happening in rugby league by committing to training and educating all those involved in the tournament, and the wider rugby league family, not only in how they can look after their own mental fitness but also support others to do the same.”
The video was posted ahead of Harry’s first public engagement since his bombshell announcement, which will take place at Buckingham Palace on Thursday (16.01.20) afternoon.
The prince – who has eight-month-old son Archie with his wife –
will meet representatives from the 21 nations taking part in the Rugby League World Cup and also host the draw for the men’s, women’s and wheelchair tournaments.

Zara and Mike Tindall consider Australia move

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara and Mike Tindall would consider moving to Australia.
Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, Zara, 38, has been married to retired rugby star Mike, 41, since 2011 and Zara admitted they haven’t ruled out a move Down Under with their two daughters once she retires from eventing.
When asked by Now To Love if she would move to Australia, equestrian Zara said: “Probably not while I’m still competing. It would be a little bit hard commuting. But after that… yes, I think if an opportunity came up we’d definitely think about it.”
Zara was named the inaugural Magic Millions Racing Women Ambassador in 2012, and the family have spent January between the Gold Coast and Sydney for the past seven years.
Zara and Mike will take both of their daughters, Mia Grace, five, and Lena Elizabeth, 18 months, to Australia for the first time this January and Mike believes Australia is a great place for a family trip.
He said: “Early January is bleak over here [in their home of Gloucestershire in England] so it’s nice to be able to go and have a bit of sun. I love the lifestyle of Australia and the ability to get up early, go on the beach – especially for the kids.
“I just think the people over in Australia are so laid-back and they have good banter. No one’s worried about talking to each other. It’s not a rushed lifestyle. I think it’s a great place and we enjoy it so much.”

Prince Harry’s son is crawling

OHMYGOSSIP — The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son is beginning to crawl.
The couple surprised military families at a regular meet up at the Broom Farm Community Centre in Windsor on Wednesday (06.11.19) when they dropped in for coffee and spoke to other parents about their six-month-old son Archie.
Amy Thompson told Army & You magazine: “My daughter Aeris is the same age as Archie and we talked about weaning and the children beginning to crawl – she’s just a normal mum and it was like talking to a friend.”
Duchess Meghan also revealed Archie has started cutting his teeth.
In a video shared on the couple’s Instagram account featuring highlights of their visit, she told a group of youngsters: “Archie’s got two teeth. Tiny ones, right there.”
The short clip, and an accompanying selection of photos, showed the royal couple at ease with the assembled families and getting down on their knees to play with the children on the carpet.
The group were delighted to welcome Prince Harry and Meghan – who live at nearby Frogmore Cottage – to their meeting.
Leigh Smith said: “We had a party when Harry and Meghan got married and we’ve followed their story ever since. So it was an amazing experience for Molly to shake hands with them. It’s really special and a lovely boost for the whole community.”
Her daughter Molly, eight, added: “Meghan promised not to tell anyone that I was off school. She asked me who my best friend was.”
The 35-year-old prince, a former Army captain, sympathised with the soldiers who work overseas away from their families.
He said: “It’s unbelievably hard. I have so much respect and admiration for anyone who has to deal with that.
“I can’t imagine what it’s like to miss so much as they change so quickly.”

Prince William feels ‘extremely concerned’ about Prince Harry

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William is reportedly “extremely concerned” about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The 37-year-old royal and his younger sibling are said to have “grown apart” since the Duke and Duchess tied the knot in May 2018 – but Prince William remains determined to support his brother through the tough times in his life.
The insider told Us Weekly: “William is extremely concerned about Harry and Meghan.
“Even though the brothers have grown apart, William still cares about Harry and is hoping that he’ll open up to him about his current struggles.
“William wants to be there for Harry and hates seeing him in such a bad place. Despite their differences, blood is thicker than water.”
Prince Charles is also said to be similarly worried about his youngest son.
The source explained: “Harry’s a very sensitive guy, and Charles is worried, too. This is a time when Harry needs his family the most.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry recently confessed that he and his brother have “good days and bad days”.
The 35-year-old royal – who has a five-month-old son called Archie with his wife – played down rumours of a rift between the siblings, insisting they will “always be there” for each other.
He shared: “We are brothers. We will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.
“We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly. The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.”

Prince Harry calls mother’s death ‘a wound that festers’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has described his mother Princess Diana’s death as “a wound the festers”.
The 35-year-old royal tragically lost his mother over 20 years ago when she was involved in a car crash in 1997, and he has now said that dealing with her death – which occurred when he was just 13 – has been difficult, as he described his life as a royal as “the worst reminder of her life”.
In a new ITV documentary entitled ‘Harry & Meghan: An African Journey’ – which documents the recent South African tour Harry went on with his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their five-month-old son Archie – interviewer Tom Bradby asked the royal: “Do you feel at peace in a way yet? Or is it still a sort of wound that festers?”
And Harry replied: “I think probably a wound that festers. I think being part of this family, in this role, in this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every single time I see a flash, it takes me straight back, so in that respect it’s the worst reminder of her life as opposed to the best.”
Part of Harry’s tour saw him retrace the steps his mother took in South Africa, and he added that whilst he’s keen to “finish what she started”, he finds it tough to be “reminded of the bad stuff”.
He said: “Being here now 22 years later trying to finish what she started will be incredibly emotional but everything that I do reminds me of her. But as I said, with the role, with the job, with the sort of pressures that come with that, I get reminded of the bad stuff, unfortunately.”
The ITV crew followed Harry and Meghan, 38, throughout the official tour for the hour-long documentary, which will be broadcast on Sunday (20.10.19) at 9pm on ITV in the UK, and next week on ABC in the US.

Duchess Meghan tells South Africans she is their ‘sister’

OHMYGOSSIP — Duchess Meghan is in South Africa as a “sister”.
The Duchess of Sussex made a poignant speech as she visited Cape Town with her husband Prince Harry and their four-month-old son Archie.
She said: “And just on one personal note, may I just say that while I am here with my husband as a member of the royal family, I want you to know that for me I am here with you as a mother, as a wife, as a woman, as a woman of colour, and as your sister. I am here with you and I am here FOR you and I thank you so much for showing my husband and I the spirit of Ubuntu and I look forward to our time over the next few days together. Thank you so much for having us.”
And the former ‘Suits’ actress says she felt “humbled” to be there.
She continued: “The work that’s being done here is to keep women and children safer, which is needed now more than ever. This is an issue that’s been at the forefront of people’s minds here in South Africa, and of course across the globe, particularly over this past month. Please know that my husband and I have been closely following what you’ve been experiencing here – as best we can from afar. But now that we are with you, we are eager to learn and see first-hand the work that you’re doing, the vital work that you’re doing, and that everything that is being done on the ground is making the great change that you not only need but that you deserve … I do have to say I feel incredibly humbled to be in the presence of all of you as you stand firm in your core values of respect, dignity and equality …
“Now I know it’s not easy and I know it must feel insurmountable at times, but your commitment to what is right gives all of us hope, especially your brothers and sisters here in your community who need you to continue to shine your light brightly. Your commitment is inspiring, it is energising and it is extraordinary. You must keep going, you must know that what you’re doing not only matters, it is vital because YOU are vital.”

Alexandra Daddario jokes Duchess Meghan ‘ruined’ her yoga studio

OHMYGOSSIP — Alexandra Daddario has joked Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has “ruined” her favourite yoga studio.
The ‘Can You Keep A Secret?’ actress loves to work out at a yoga studio called Modo Yoga, but now fears the company – which has studios in New York City and LA – will be fully booked and too crowded, after the 38-year-old royal recently visited the New York branch during a visit to the city.
During an appearance on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’, show host James asked her: “Is this true that Meghan Markle has ruined your workout regimen?”
To which she replied: “Yes, she has. She came into New York last weekend and she went to a yoga place called Modo Yoga, which is my yoga place. It’s where I always go. They have places in LA and New York.
“Now that she went there, everyone’s gonna want to go there. And there’s not going to be any room … It’s going to be harder to get into.”
But Alexandra, 33, doesn’t actually mind the Duchess – who has four-month-old son Archie with her husband Prince Harry – attending the same studio as her, because she’d quite like the former ‘Suits’ star to “sweat on” her.
She added: “She can sweat on me. I don’t mind. That would be okay.”
The ‘Baywatch’ actress wouldn’t be too impressed if the royal actually did sweat on her at the gym though, as she previously admitted she’s a germaphobe and has to travel everywhere with wet wipes so she can stay clean.
Alexandra’s commitment to cleanliness was noted by tissue brand Kleenex last year, when they made her the ambassador for their range of wet wipes, and since signing with the company she has discovered even more uses for the product, including cleaning her face when she’s on the go.
She explained: “Like a lot of young people, we’re running from place to place. It’s a great way to keep yourself clean and germ-free.”

Michael Owen scolded by the Queen for taking his hat off

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Owen was once told off by Queen Elizabeth II for taking his hat off when they shared a lift together at Royal Ascot.
The former England football star and stable owner once shared the “royal lift” with the monarch during a day at the races with his wife Louise, and has said he was left “mortified” after being “b****ked” by the Queen when he took off his hat, as he believed that was the correct etiquette.
He said: “When she [The Queen] walked into the royal lift there were perhaps 15 of us outside. ‘Come on,’ she said, ‘We can all squeeze in’. I obeyed – taking my hat off as I thought that correct etiquette.
“‘If you’d put your hat back on,’ she said, voice raised, ‘we might all fit in!’
“I sheepishly put my hat on. I was mortified. To this day I have absolutely no idea if she was joking. Louise was nudging me from the other side trying not to laugh because I’d been b****ked by the Queen.”
The 39-year-old star also detailed a time when he’d enjoyed a pre-race meal at Windsor Castle, and had been worried about using his cutlery in the appropriate manner.
Writing in his new book ‘Reboot’, Michael explained: “I was careful to hold my fork in the correct hand and so on. I needn’t have worried. The Queen was throwing bits of starter to her corgis!”
Queen Elizabeth, 93, may have just been joking though, as she’s known to enjoy teasing people, and was recently reported to have played a prank on a group of American tourists when they visited Balmoral earlier this month.
The tourists didn’t recognise the royal and asked her if she lived nearby, and when she said that she did, they asked if she’d ever met the Queen.
To which she reportedly gestured to her protection officer and replied: “No, but this policeman has.”
